The new horror flick 'Orphan' (opens today) is getting some of the most dreadful reviews I can ever remember reading, which makes them a thoroughly entertaining read. My favorite is in the Washington Post, which calls 'Orphan' a "shameful failure." It has also been called "reprehensible" (Boston Globe), "frighteningly awful" (Sacramento Bee), and "genuine trash" (Variety). It is frequently referred to as "a parent's worst nightmare," however, which ought to make kids want to see it.

'Fordlandia' in New York Times book review

Tomorrow's edition of the New York Times book review features a review of "Fordlandia: The Rise and Fall of Henry Ford's Forgotten Jungle City," by Greg Grandin.
