"Law Day"

"In the State of Alabama and acknowledge the importance of our legal and judicial systems with appropriate ceremonies and activities, and to display the flag of the United States and our state in support of this educational observance.

Given Under My Hand and the Great Seal of the Office of the Governor at the State Capitol in the City of Montgomery on the 9th day of April 2010."

Governor Bob Riley

Please, spare us the bullshit I think we know you by now. You are the asshole that has ran our state into the ground for the past 8 years. You have spent money on things that were NOT needed. You have funded things that did not need funding. You filed law suits, and put many people out of work. You have NO clue about our legal and judicial systems, they are completely fucked up. Our judicial branch has turned out to be a complete joke being ran by morons.

"WHEREAS, Each time we recite the Pledge of Allegiance, we renew our commitment to providing the benefits of liberty and the reality of justice for all;" Pardon me, the "reality" of justice for all. How does reciting the Pledge of Allegiance do all that, when over half of our society doesn't even get heard? You must be referring to those you have sculpted and molded to be just like you and the rest of the fucking morons within the judicial branch.
Sheriff of Chilton County

Alabama sure was beautiful today. I have some photos of how nice it looked outside my front yard this afternoon. As I was pulling into the drive I noticed the heavy winds we had today just about blew John's sign away in the front yard, so I had my son go and fix it when we got home. He did a great job!!

We sure have heard the people talking about the election for sheriff this time. The community sure has taken a liking to John, you don't hardly go anywhere without hearing people brag about him and I have to say myself he does have a much better attitude towards the people than our current sheriff (Kevin Davis). I have seen your signs up Kevin, but you have to asked yourself...what are people saying when they see your ugly ass face when they are driving down the road? I know what I am saying, do you?, or can you just guess, go ahead...just guess!! I'll just tell you anyway..."I wouldn't vote for that sorry ass fucker, even if he was the ONLY fucker on the ballot. That arrogant piece of shit don't deserve one damn vote from anyone in this county, and I'll be damned if he gets mine."

One thing to learn John; don't make the same mistakes as Kevin made. Always keep the people in mind, after all they are the one's who elect you in, the ones who will decide if you go or stay. Kevin those voters you stepped on throughout your term as sheriff will be the ones who decide if you go or stay.

VOTERS--Don't forget the primary election in June....

I am an advocate for judicial reform and I have a blog where I like to research and write about issues within the judicial system as well as politics.

I will start by saying be careful who you believe through emails if your blog contains an email address. You certainly don’t want anyone you are writing back, to know “too” much about you. I like to consider myself a smart young lady, but I guess you could say I was way too intrigued with this “e-mailer”, but you could say I was “lucky”.

I notice that most blogs contain a photo of the person writing, but its not really necessary to leave a photo, or is it? Just about all of the blogs I see written by attorney’s contain a photo of the asshole, so I guess it would be necessary for the asshole to show his face…RIGHT??

I am a person who believes in fair justice and I get emails because of that, but please do not tell people everything, not everyone will keep things between you and them. Not everything they say to you in these emails will be true, most if not all of it will be lies.

I am also kind hearted, young, vibrant, and just full of life…which has been my downfall for many years. I can be tough when I need to be and soft hearted when I don’t need to be. So I guess you could say, I need to be tough ALL the time. I need to be an ASSHOLE…I know, most of you attorney’s already consider me an asshole, but in time you’ll get over it. In time I’ll grow on you, to know me you’ll love me, for who I am, and all that I want to be. God Bless!! Have a Great Day!!

Wow!!

Well, we learn something new every fucking day don’t we. I have to give Mr. Ben Little one of Roger Ebert’s TWO THUMBS UP!…on his complaint against this judge, because he (Judge Laird) is a fucking criminal. Judges preside over various types of cases and this judge should be disqualified, why? How can a fucking criminal judge another fucking criminal fairly and impartially?

According to probate records, Judge Laird is delinquent in taxes on his business Courthouse Café in Anniston. Only five of the fourteen tax liens have been released, but Laird still owes a whopping $37,462.02 in UNPAID TAXES.

“According to Alabama Ethics Laws; In ALL matters that come before the commission due process applies.” Let me ask you this, Hugh Evans--Does due process apply to the public in ALL matters?

Of course Mike Askew who is Judge Laird’s Accountant is claiming the figures are inaccurate. I am certain Askew has two sets of fucking books in order to cover his own ass.

Not only has Judge Laird failed to pay taxes, he has failed to file campaign contribution reports, as well as ethics reports. That doesn’t fucking surprise me at all. What makes you assholes think he is going to file shit with any of you idiots if he isn’t paying his fucking taxes.

Here is a statement from a judge that doesn’t surprise or shock me in ANY way, shape or form….

“Judge John Carroll, dean for the Samford University Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, said even if a judge were convicted of a crime he or she committed while on the bench, that alone would not overturn case decisions.”

OKAY….

“Unless the crime was somehow related to what the judge is doing in the case, I think the ruling will stand,” Carroll said. “If a judge was on the bench while dealing marijuana, it wouldn’t overturn his decisions.” WTF!! Is this horseshit…You mean to tell me a fucking Judge can do this? If you are dealing while on the bench and you have just allowed another dealer to walk where he is then allowed to sell drugs to our children on the streets, at schools, or playgrounds…this would be a fair and impartial decision? I don’t fucking think so and I don’t give a fuck if you are Dean for Samford University Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama Judge John Carroll that doesn’t mean shit to me, nor does it make your fucking ass right. There are fucking rules for you assholes too…and they should be followed.

The Alabama Canon of Judicial Ethics states judges must annually file a “statement of economic interests” with the clerk of the Alabama Supreme Court. WTF? Happened over there is anyone home?? The fucker DIDN’T file a statement with WHO?? Clerk of the Alabama Supreme Court. What the fuck is going on over there Chief Justice Sue Bell Cobb???? Is not doing your job part of one of your cutback tactics?
REYNOLDS

As most of you may know attorney Jerry M. Blevins from Elmore county has fought long and hard through court processes to be able to run in the election for judgeship seat 3. The seat is currently held by Judge Sibley G. Reynolds who also lives in Chilton County. Sibley Reynolds was born and raised in Chilton County his father the late Morgan Reynolds was also a Judge in Chilton County and they both have practiced law in Chilton County. Sibley G. Reynolds is well known in Chilton County and many of the cases that he presides over are cases of very familiar faces; friends, colleagues, staff, etc. The Alabama Supreme Court recently made a decision affecting the voter’s rights in ONE circuit; the 19th Circuit ONLY. The 19th Circuit is the ONLY Circuit that requires the qualified candidate to reside in the county they wish to preside in. In the Alabama Code of 1975 you will notice if you read it, that the only Circuit with a residency requirement is the 19th….Numbers 1-15 there is NO statement of residency requirements….Numbers 17-32 NO statement of residency requirements. If you live in Chilton County you can preside in Birmingham as a judge, does this make any damn since???, but you cannot live in Elmore County and preside in Chilton County and they are neighboring counties that belong to the same Circuit. THINK ABOUT THIS PEOPLE!!!! Is this FAIR at all to QUALIFIED candidates who wish to run in the election???

The Alabama Supreme Court in Blevins V. Chapman states;

“Echoing the above-stated rationale, the residency requirement imposed by § 12-17-20 (b) (16) gives the voters of each county in the 19th Judicial Circuit the opportunity for a greater level of familiarity with the candidates for at least one of the judgeships in the circuit. Conversely, it ensures that among the three judges of the 19th Judicial Circuit, at least one judge will be familiar with each county within the circuit. It promotes the appearance of justice by preventing a more populous county from dominating the judicial seats in the circuit. It avoids the possibility of excessive recusals: by requiring that the three circuit judges be residents from the three counties that compose the circuit, it reduces the chances that more than one of the judges in the circuit might have to recuse himself or herself from a case because of familiarity with the parties or because of the circumstances of the case.”

Okay! According to the Alabama Supreme Court’s recent ruling, they want us to be FAMILIAR (IN THE 19TH CIRCUIT ONLY) with the candidate so it reduces the chances of recusal from a case because of FAMILAIRITY with the parties. It took 9 fucking judges to say that. These are the judges who make the top case decisions in our state;

Sue Bell Cobb
Lyn Stuart
Champ Lyons Jr.
Thomas A. Woodall
Patricia M. Smith
Glenn Murdock
Michael F. Bolin
Tom Parker
Greg Shaw

Sibley G. Reynolds is very familiar with the parties of each case he presides over. Regardless of recusal standards he will NOT recuse himself from a case where he can help out a friend, colleague, or staff member. If someone wants or feels the need to have him recused they have to file a complaint and then it is up to the Court of the Judiciary on whether or not he should be recused from the case. Being familiar with a judge presiding in your hometown is NEVER a good thing for either party. Justice should NOT be based on FAMILIARITY with the judge or the parties. It sounds like to me there was FAMILIARITY on the part of the Supreme Court in this particular ruling. Justice is suppose to be FAIR AND IMPARTIAL you would think the Alabama Supreme Court would know that. The decision to take ONE Circuit and restrict qualified residents/candidates within that Circuit from running is NOT fair and impartial justice, what about the other circuits within the state, shouldn’t they be required to reside in the county they preside in???

I WILL BE CAMPGAIGNING FOR JERRY M. BLEVINS AS A WRITE-IN ON THE BALLOT FOR THE 19TH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT…..IT IS TIME FOR THE VOTERS TO BE HEARD!!
Okay, what the fuck is that??? Is it one of those attorney’s who coaches another attorney on how to fuck their clients. I’m only asking because, I didn’t know that existed I thought it was a natural born instinct for lawyers to know how to fuck their clients. Stephen goes on to state that he “works with lawyers to find the right mix in the process, and helps them to achieve greater career satisfaction.” What kind of satisfaction are we talking about here? Satisfaction is completely guaranteed on behalf of the Attorney, but ALL clients should remember to bring the PJ. I’m certain it hurts being fucked in the ass each time you see your attorney.

Stephen is dedicated to his work and if it is anything like the work of an actual ATTORNEY I certainly hope he is stiffing his clients. Stephen states “Law is a challenging profession (and don't think for a minute that anyone at the top made it all on their own!)” Stephen I have never thought or felt that anyone in the legal profession made it to the top all on their own. I know they had to step on many people to get where they are today. It may be grand in Newton, MA., but it is not so grand in other parts of our country. Have you ever coached any Alabama attorney’s on how to be successful, and market themselves? If so, you are doing a fabulous job…Attorney’s in Alabama should be thriving, but then again I know it is extremely hard for an attorney to draft a two page document and submit it to a court without charging people an arm and a leg to do so.
How many of you really know who you are voting for? Do you know them personally? Why, yes most of you do know these bastards personally and are using that to your own advantage. It is those who don’t know who are being deceived by the dishonesty of these assholes.

Should the voters in the 19th Circuit community be allowed to have a say in who is elected into judgeship seat number 3? Fuck yea!! The voters in the 19th Circuit community currently do not have a say in who presides from seat number three or any seat for that matter. I have never seen a bigger band of cowardly Attorney’s in my life, but let me elaborate….

Any Attorney in Chilton County ONLY can run against the current beholder (Sibley G. Reynolds) of seat number 3. How many of you ball less Attorney’s are going to do so? NONE. Sibley G. Reynolds is their meal ticket and they WILL NOT go against anything HE wants.

"This country was not built by men who were afraid and it cannot be preserved by such men." Justice Hugo L. Black Wilkinson v. U.S. (1961)

The ONLY man with the balls to preserve has been denied the right along with our rights as voters by cowardly assholes who believe in the corruptions that lie within our state.

The Alabama Supreme Court ruling is a huge disappointment to MANY voters in my community and a devastatingly disappointment to me, but it does not surprise me that the Alabama Supreme Court has ruled in his favor yet again. When they seek to sit their asses on the Alabama Supreme Court bench again I would certainly like for ALL 19th Circuit voters to remember these names as they go to the polls to vote;
Glenn Murdock
Michael F. Bolin
Tom Parker &
Greg Shaw

Oh, and lets not forget about ALABAMA SECRETARY OF STATE BETH CHAPMAN….

What is even more fucking corrupt and disturbing about their ruling is the fact that NOT one fucking judge dissented. Oh, come the fuck on! Cannot one of you damn idiots tell me you all agree with this horse shit. This is COMPLETE unfairness to the voters and there is only one reason any of you would agree with Beth Chapman.

The Alabama Supreme Court has just fucked over the voters giving us no say in the judicial election. Without candidates seeking to run against a non family man (Sibley G. Reynolds) with no beliefs in the laws, but what he considers to be laws we the voters DO NOT have a say in this election. I want to have a choice and Sibley G. Reynolds is not a choice. The Alabama Supreme Court has taken away our ONLY option to real justice in this community.
Who can clarify to the community just exactly what our Sheriff has done for the community other than the Sheriff himself and of course his WIFE? How has Sheriff Kevin Davis "fulfilled his obligations" to the democratic party? (1) Kevin has lied to the community that voted for him by NOT fulfilling his obligations to the democratic party (2) His first goal when he entered the Sheriff's office was nothing more than seeking money from the County (3) Filing law suits to get what he thought "he" deserved--clearly he was never a Democrat...

In 2008 Sheriff Kevin Davis filed a lawsuit against the County Commission as well as the County itself because why? ... a duty of funding the "plaintiff’s" budget request,” the lawsuit stated...Plaintiff (Sheriff Kevin Davis) has pissed and moaned since day one about money. Does anyone in Chilton County remember what it was like for everyone in 2008? How hard it was for people to find jobs that were steady, gas prices going up and down...those times were hard for everyone, but our county had to listen to its Sheriff bitch and moan about what he wasn't getting. Who funded the damn lawsuit? Think about these things before you go and cast away your good votes on someone who acts as though he is the only one in this county.

"Davis asked the county to budget $2 million for the Sheriff’s Department and $1.78 million for the County Jail, but the commission only budgeted $1.56 million for the Sheriff’s Department and $1.46 million for the Jail. The county’s total budget is $16million." (Clanton Advertiser)

Our Sheriff was asked to borrow money from line items back in 2008 in order to make up the difference, but like any spoiled brat they will not understand the meaning of saving because they are so used to everything being handed to them.

"Salaries are also at 83.6 percent of budget, and no money has been budgeted for overtime."

“You’re going to have overtime when you are working in law enforcement,” Davis said. “There’s no money to transfer in our department.” (Clanton Advertiser)

With the amount of LEO's that Kevin Davis has hired there should be NO need for anyone to have overtime. "Salaries are 83.6% of the budget", why does most of your budget go towards salaries anyway? It sounds to me like our Sheriff does not know how to budget his own department. Sheriff...you received $1.56 plus the $1.46 million dollars from the Commission it is your responsibility to BUDGET that money in case of emergencies such as overtime, but overtime should not be a continuous problem due to the amount of officers you have hired...HELL, you hired more than Billy Wayne Fulmer EVER did. When people where needing jobs and trying to get by, the Sheriff of this very small town was only interested in suing the County in order to "FUND his budget request."

Finally, our Sheriff got what he wanted "MONEY"...

“Me and the commission were able to agree on some things,” Davis said. “I felt like they listened to the needs of the department and responded in a fair way. I didn’t get all I wanted, but I am happy with the budget.” (Clanton Advertiser)

The biggest issue was how to fund new cars. Davis said the department had 20 vehicles with more than 100,000 miles on them.

The commission agreed to put $90,000 in a line item for 10 new vehicles to be funded over a 3-year lease or payment plan.

“This will get all our patrol deputies in a reliable vehicle,” Davis said. Instead of taking the damn cars you had and rebuilding the fucking engines lets just go out get all these boys a fucking dodge charger a piece...yes, it sounds as though you are real fucking concerned about your damn budget...oh that's right, you are "happy" with the budget, you just didn't get all "YOU" wanted...

"Other concerns with last year’s budget were overtime and fuel costs, but the main issue was that the sheriff’s budget had decreased from the previous year. While all departments faced cuts this year, both sides were able to give a little." (Clanton Advertiser) The main issue was "the sheriff's budget had decreased from the year before." Now can anyone explain to our sheriff just why the fuck it decreased or was his ass in a different fucking time zone from the rest of us, why hell yeah...we had to actually work for a fucking living.

Suggestion, although a little late for these...some of those county boys could have used there OWN cars/fuel to take their children to and from school as opposed to using county cars/fuel when dropping them off or picking them up...Just what did our Sheriff manage to give a little? Oh, lets not forget we got to hear you piss and moan about MONEY the entire time you were Sheriff.

Davis states, "I didn't get all I WANTED..."

The budget for 2008-09 allocates $2 million for the Sheriff’s Department and $1.6 million for the Jail.

Well he didn't get all he WANTED...I'll be damn if that wasn't the biggest crock of shit I have ever heard. You lying sack your budget allocates $2 plus $1.6 million and all you can say is "I didn't get all I wanted."

I won't sit here and sugar coat a damn thing about our County Commission because you ass wipes gave this Whiny ass little snot nose brat what he wanted and then some without even considering all avenues because he was suing (bluffing) the County...he knew you would cave in the end, hell we all did...and this was during a time when those things...yes things, could have waited.

BLAH...BLAH...BLAH...Let's don't waste another four years of taxpayers money dealing with this shit...Lets band together as a community, voters, and hard working taxpayers and vote that childish, snot nose, little brat out of our Sheriff's department.

Now that is change we can count on...

Judge Young of Alexander City

Milton McGregor is one smart man when it comes to protecting his business and his employees. He has been playing it smart ever since our dumb-ass governor (Bob Riley) started his shit by trying to cut Alabama workers out of jobs (which he has done). I know first hand about hard work and paying taxes even though I don't have time to even scratch my ass some days, but Governor Riley don't know jack shit about hard work so it is easy for his ass to take away from those who do. I don't gamble, but I certainly will support gambling in my state, why? I know all about trying to parent, go to school, and work a full time job. It doesn't matter what we do, but we have to do it...right?

Even though I have an Associates degree as a Paralegal and I am currently working on my Bachelors it doesn't mean I will get a job as a Paralegal it only means I am trying, I cannot successfully succeed until I land a job. For those who are or where working at the casino's our Governor had shut down they where trying and that is more than I can say for some. Did our Governor think about the tax dollars that just went bye-bye when he had those bingo halls closed? Hell No, Riley is cutting the throats of many Alabamians who are trying to make it and that is no damn way for a Governor to act...I don't give a damn if you are on your last leg going out. Don't step on people on your way up, you just might have to see them again on your way down, and Governor Riley you are on your way down...

I applaud Judge Young for his current actions to bar the task force from raiding Victoryland. What the hell is John Tyson and Governor Riley up to? Tyson...has our Governor led you to believe that you can go anywhere in Alabama and do anything you want? Since you are a district attorney in Mobile County, what made you believe you had any authority in Macon County?

Smart moves Milton, do what you have to do to keep your employees their jobs. There are many Alabamians who are supporting gambling in our state. You don't have to be a gambler to support jobs remaining in our state. People still have to work in order to feed, and clothe their children, and pay bills. When you take security away from families who are in need of it what do you think they will do for their families if push comes to shove? What would you do in order to feed your children if you were down to nothing? Think about these questions before you go stepping on people, because you just might be doing more harm than good. Put yourself in someone else's shoes for a change Governor.

Alabamians consider this; If no one in Alabama can operate a casino other than the Indians and our Governor is certainly gung ho on making it impossible for anyone in Alabama to operate a Casino other than the Indians who gets all the business when those who gamble choose to do so anyway? Granted the Governor can't touch the Indians, but he is willing to make sure they continue to have business.

I will try to be blunt as I usually am (but polite) about issues that affect me as well. Governor Riley has been pushing for Charter schools for quite sometime and he still remains to be doing so, but at the same time our Governor does not want gambling in the state of Alabama. I am here to say to Governor Riley; “You can’t have your cake and eat it too.” I believe in education as well as everyone’s right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

There are currently ten states who do not have legislation on charter schools and only one of those states does not have a lottery, yours truly…Alabama. Each of the states who do not currently have legislation eventually will, but those states have a lottery that can help with the funding of the Charter schools. Charter schools are publicly funded, but without the state bringing in revenue that can help with that funding it could be impossible for such schools to exist. We will have the legislation, but without funds you will have no Charter schools.

Where exactly are you going with this Governor? How do you expect the public to fund these schools, better yet how do you expect the public to pay the teachers if you are taking revenue away from the state? One day there will be gambling in this state whether you want it or not and I am certain your sorry ass will open and close the doors every night.

Have you ever taken your grandchildren or your own children to Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target, etc. and gave them money to put in those silly ass machines to win toys? How many dollars did you put in those machines before your child won? Our state has been teaching us to gamble for many years; we gamble when we hand an attorney $1,500-$2,500 retainer for legal representation (they cannot guarantee me a damn thing so I am in deed gambling), children are gambling when they play these machines with hopes of winning a toy (there is NO guarantee), we gamble when we count on our very damn state to ensure the people that ALL checks and balances are in place for our protection, life is a gamble; however, the people of this state should NOT have to fear that everything they do in their lives is “ILLEGAL.” From charter schools to gambling, its all about REVENUE and you can’t spend what we don’t have…

Attorney Dress Code…Is there such a thing in Alabama Courts?
    By: Brandy D. Knight

There are many professions across the world and they each require certain attire, but what types of attire should attorney’s wear? I would love to get the opportunity to visit other courts in Alabama so that I can see if all female attorneys dress like they were just picked up for prostitution…

I came across this piece in the Virginia Lawyer magazine and thought to myself if this judge could only see the way Elizabeth Barnes Hilyer dresses in the 19th Judicial Circuit Court in Alabama he would be sure to flip his lid. I don’t think there is anything wrong with a court implementing a dress code, but it is a damn shame when a court finally has to. Wouldn’t it be just common sense for attorney’s to dress in proper attire without being told to do so? Shouldn’t attorney’s just want to dress properly because it is more respectful to the court as well as their respective client’s?

In order to prolong the life of your law firm don’t you think it would be in your best interest to dress accordingly? The things we wore out to the parties when were growing up just don’t look the same on us when get to be 45-50 years old or even 30-40 for that matter, but then again I have never dressed in such attire so I really wouldn’t know. Being from the South it is rare to see people wearing stiletto heals, mini skirts, revealing or sheer tops much less attorney’s.

From judge to judge in the 23rd Circuit in Roanoke, Virginia they felt the same way about how attorney’s should dress when appearing in court…“they should always be attired in a proper and dignified manner, and should abstain from any apparel or ornament calculated to attract attention to themselves.” (Judge Clifford R. Weckstein)

“Respect for the Court requires … appropriate dress in all Court proceedings.” A lawyer must not be dressed in a way that “diminishes the dignity or decorum of the courtroom.”(Judge Clifford R. Weckstein)…Wow! Well said, your Honor…

The judicial branch has been taking from the people for many years and it is high time they had to endure what they have been imposing on “WE THE PEOPLE.” I am a firm believer in justice for ALL and I will remain to believe that everyone should have access to justice no matter what. Our judicial branch has failed the very people who have relied on them for fair and impartial court systems.

In a news release from the Alabama state bar on January 28, 2010 state bar President Thomas J. Methvin states; “Such drastic cuts would have a detrimental effect on access to justice to all citizens of this state." One question for Thomas from me; “Where the Fuck have you been?” Justice comes from everyone who is involved in the system…EVERYONE; Attorney’s, Judges, Court Reporters, Law Enforcement, Law Clerks, Court Staff, Paralegals, Assistants, etc. regardless of MONEY….If ONE of those makes ONE mistake it is going to cost someone JUSTICE and money doesn’t make one ounce of shit about it.

Methvin goes on in this release to speak about the Constitution….“The Alabama Constitution, which created all three branches of government requires that the Judicial Branch be treated equally with the other branches of government.” Mr. Methvin…The Constitution also states; “That all men are equally free and independent; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”, but that doesn’t seem to make a shit to any of you. One thing I want to add for you Mr. Methvin; The Framers of the Constitution separated those powers into three branches; (1) The power to pass laws, (2) The power to administer laws, and (3) The power to interpret. Since you are an attorney then, you should know and understand that there has to be a check for the other two branches of government or otherwise it would be a major conflict. Judging by your article one check is in place and that is the Executive branch is now checking the Judicial Branch. I am not here to judge every attorney and every judge because I do know there are good, bad, and unfortunately ugly in the legal system; however, I have a seen a lot of the bad and know too much of the ugly, but I do not hold that against the GOOD.

Can I hear you say UNCLE, Mr. Methvin…What goes around comes around…so deal with it.

As always God Bless each and everyone of you…have a great day!!!

No relation to the child he "slapped"...I am sure DHR was bypassed in this situation as they should have been bypassed when my nephew received a cigarette burn in the palm of his hand...

A grandpa clearly not of the child...walks up to a woman in a Wal-Mart in Georgia and tells the mother to "shut her child up or he will" was sentenced to 6 months in jail and six months home confinement. Roger Stephens you lucky ass...if that had been me I would have whooped your ass the minute you threatened my child.

This bastard should be permanently confined for even having the damned audacity to do such a thing. I can't complain though at least Georgia did something about it and punished the dumb ass. The thoughts of a teacher filming students on a webcam while in his/her class is a little on the "creep me out" side. I have not been asked nor have I signed a waiver for my teenage daughter to be filmed while in class. I would think they would ask the parents how they feel or at least let them know and see what they are doing with the films. There is only one of my daughters classes were the teacher is filming them during class, however, he is not filming himself while he talks to his damn shoes and his damn ties.

I find it pretty damn strange that a teacher who has a law degree would continue to teach young students instead of being a lawyer...I guess he just likes children. Not to imply anything here about this lawyer/teacher, but I have not given him permission to film my child, nor do I know what he his doing with this film afterwards. My child has expressed her feelings about this as well as her feelings about this particular teacher. I am not taking sides here, because I know how teenagers can probably get under someone's skin at times, however, there is one fact that still remains and that is no other classes have webcams except his. If this is something Chilton County Schools want to implement among every classroom, then I could except that, but the teacher must be filmed as well and the disc must be turned in everyday. Since, I do not know what or where he is taking the disc everyday and this is not implemented in every class I would suggest him study law a little bit further, quit talking to his shoes, his ties, and take his head out of his ass.

Do you even take the time to listen to yourself Riley? I was all for Ethics among the teachers being implemented in a code until you explained its vagueness. Listen to this and pay close attention because this is in writing from YOUR office.

“The ethical standards in this code aren’t vague at all. They’re common sense and should be supported by all parents, teachers and legislators. I can’t believe anyone would kill ethical standards developed by teachers for teachers to improve their profession.”

"Among the so-called “controversial” standards in the ethics code that the AEA and some legislators claim are vague include those that that say teachers should not falsify records or reports, should maintain a professional relationship with students, should not use profanity, should handle school money honestly and responsibly, and should not use alcohol or tobacco at school or at school-related functions in the presence of students." Blah...Blah...Blah

Is that all? Size does matter if you haven't noticed Governor Riley and the length of your article tells me the code is too vague.

First: "developed by teachers for teachers." Give me a damn break, this would be like you developing your own rules for your job...Oh shit! you already do that.

Second: I am a parent and I DO NOT support a teacher setting their own rules. Teachers are educators taught by other educators and they know what they can and cannot do...I do not support conflicts of interest.

Third: Teachers have falsified records/reports right here in Alabama (I have those by the way)and they were pretty damn amazing to read along with the doctors report. If they were going to be aloud to develop their own set of rules regarding ethics how the hell would that stop them from doing these things? You said this was common sense so why didn't you speak in common sense?

Fourth: "should not use alcohol or tobacco at school or at school-related functions in the presence of students."

Excuse me, there should be NO alcohol or tobacco at school or at school-related functions...You are stating and I quote you on this Governor Riley, that they should not use in the presence of the students...You NEVER said they couldn't, just not in the presence of students. So I have to agree that this was too vague...

When we refer to courts we mean judges...Any judge who considers himself to have the power to create new laws on the bench is creating a crime. They are NOT legislators, nor should they ever proclaim to be such. Judges are only here as part of our Judicial Branch to interpret law, apply the laws, and enforce the laws. If we need a law repealed that is where our Legislative branch comes in. If a judge CANNOT interpret, apply, and enforce the laws, then clearly he/she is in the wrong profession. If a judge feels he/she cannot do what they have been asked to do by their taxpaying voters...well, I have a job for each of you.

ALABAMA IS NOW HIRING:

QUALIFICATIONS:

LAW DEGREE
MANY YEARS AS A CORRUPT JUDGE
LIES
IGNORES THE CONSTITUTION
CREATES NEW LAWS FROM THE BENCH
CLAIMS THE COURT BELONGS TO THEM
DISGUST THE PUBLIC WITH YOUR BULLSHIT RULINGS
DOESN'T UNDERSTAND RULE 32 (NEW LAWS)

PAY IS NONNEGOTIABLE:

$7.25/HOUR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will be placed on a pig farm (because clearly you are a pig) for 12 hours each day, you will shovel shit until your hands are bleeding, because this is how you make others feel when you cannot do the job you are being paid to do by your respective taxpayers.

Judges were once looked up to and some still are, but there is a staggering amount among the states who are no longer respected within their community. They are suppose to set high standards among their profession, clearly this has not been done in the 19th Circuit as far as the eye can see. When I see a judge who rules in the
19th circuit on the street, I begin to laugh because you have become the laughing stock of our community with your incompetency. Remember one thing about a small town; Have I cleared a path and secured my children's future? Consider those you have stepped on when answering this question...

If there is an election going on prior to their release will they be loaded up and taken to the polls? I thought when we got in trouble we were punished through certain rights until we could gain society's trust back. I have a thought on this issue and it has nothing to do with ensuring rights are protected, but it sure as hell has everything to do with voting and the elections...it certainly sounds like they need more voters over in Washington for those corrupt elected officials.

If they do this they will need to go all the way with ensuring rights are protected. Make it were those who have felony convictions can also get jobs upon their release from prison. If Washington wants to make it easier they have to be serious about it though. When you open the door to one policy there will always be 100 more policies to consider regarding the one you just allowed.

This just sounds like they are making more room for litigation. They are trying to turn our justice system into a shark feeding frenzy for Lawyers...

Governor Riley....Lets Roll

Well it seems I am not the only one who considers Governor Riley to be the next worst thing since the Bush administration...I could just kiss Stan Pate for having that plane flown over the BCS game in California while the Governor was there...

What did the banner say again? "IMPEACH CORRUPT ALABAMA GOVERNOR BOB RILEY"

You have said many things tonight Pate that I have been saying all along and it couldn't have came at a better time. Governor Riley has been spending taxpayers money for a very long time because he thinks that once it is taken from our checks it is his to do with what he pleases...

Here is an excerpt from a song that all of you dirty politicians need to hear:

"Grand pappy told my pappy, back in my day, son
A man had to answer for the wicked that he done
Take all the rope in Texas
Find a tall oak tree, round up all of them bad boys
Hang them high in the street for all the people to see"

Alabama received two good victories tonight...God Blessed each of you boys on that field and God Blessed Stan Pate for having the balls to call out Alabama's Governor during one very huge event so all could see what he is all about...Himself, and of course his NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS...

and God Bless al.com for printing it...Ya'll have a good nite...

NOT A DAMN THING...

" Family Sunshine Center–Three grants totaling $688,600, including $40,000 from economic stimulus funds, for safe shelter and other services to domestic violence victims in Autauga, Butler, Chilton, Crenshaw, Elmore, Lowndes and Montgomery counties. The center offers counseling, support groups and on-site medical services for victims staying at the shelter. The economic stimulus funds will help the organization maintain staffing levels needed to continue the current level of assistance to victims."

Governor Riley- Have you spoken to any of the victims prior to giving this money away? This is what you did, you and your staff just gave this money to people who will do nothing for others, but sit on their asses all day long and surf the net while those who need assistance will do without. This is not the way to handle things, and it is certainly not gaining respect from the voters. I hope you intend on retiring after you exit the Governors Mansion.

I certainly hope you and your staff keep an eye on the center in Chilton County...make certain you have receipts showing what they actually did with the money you gave them (Audit regular). Then again, Chilton County is known for keeping two sets of books...

Social Security is a benefit to those who can no longer work and for those who have children, they too can draw from their parents benefits. Is it okay for our courts to abuse discretion and court order parents to use their own SSI benefits to pay child support? What if those children are already receiving a check from their parents SSI? Should this parent be required to live in poverty?

In the 19th Circuit Court of Alabama, a very dear friend of mine
was court ordered to pay child support from his SSI benefits, how else was he going to pay? Up until my friend was disabled he always paid his child support. He is a good man and an outstanding Dad who never has the money to do anything with his kids, but shows them with love how much he really cares.

There are many people in Alabama and across our nation who are being abused by our judicial system because of “Discretion of the court.”

When judges abuse their discretion, sure we can appeal their decision, but this is something that is far easier said than done. A person living on a fixed income who is also court ordered to pay child support with their disability WILL NOT be able to afford an APPEAL, therefore, they are required to live in poverty.

For a family who resides in this Circuit we know all too well what can, has, and will continue to happen if there is not a redress and soon.

Do you ever hear the phrase; “Discretion of the Court” ? This is a phrase used way too often by the Alabama Supreme Court in rules laid out for lower courts. This is a phrase that has been way overused in the State of Alabama. Judges in Alabama who are going by “discretion of the court” are basically rendering decisions based on their own views and beliefs. Misinterpretation, when they misinterpret something in the Constitution, they used discretion of the court….same thing goes for their erroneous rulings…discretion of the court.

This is also called, “give them an inch and they’ll take a mile.” What about the Constitution, Codes, Statutes, Case Law, etc.? As long as we have discretion of the courts when will our laws be enforced, applied, etc.? How far will a court go when using its power of discretion? Or Should I say, how far has our courts gone?

I do have a suggestion for the Chilton Commission though. Bring in a cleaning crew from Texas and let them thoroughly clean out our courthouse from top to bottom. Take all of the shit that doesn’t belong and put it on a concentration camp…This should make plenty of room and funding for our Counties Satellite office…

Better yet, there are plenty of places within our county that could really use a good cleaning. Think of all the spaces that have already been provided for. Some of the offices in our County buildings are already fully furnished, all it would really take is a good ass kicking out the door. We would actually be saving money...Can I get a Amen....God Bless!!

Thank You Chilton County Commission, but please think about what I have said...$$$$AVE

We think about dying ourselves and making certain our burial is paid in full, so that our children do not have to bare the cost. For a mother who lost her son way too soon, there is only one thing she is asking and that is to be buried with her son. A son who put his life on the line for our country, never had children of his own, and was not married.

I don't think anyone could make a better statement on this grieving mothers behalf than Senator John Kerry (D) Mass. "No mothers or fathers of a fallen soldier should have to worry about their child being buried alone."

I applaud this Mother in her fight to be with her son, it is her right. I don't believe there is anything standing in the way of the VA's policy except them. For God's sake listen to yourselves; "she must die first." That is the craziest bullshit I have ever heard of. How can she sign for a waiver if she is dead? Are you son of a bitches ignorant? Strings are pulled everyday in America for judges, lawyers, senators, LEO's, Governor's, etc. (Elite groups)Why doesn't a soldiers Mom fall into this group? Her son died for this country, fought for our freedom; yours and mine and you bastards cannot grant a waiver.

The VA approved four requests of the parents of dead soldiers since 2005...I take it these parents probably fell into that group I am referring to, there is really no other explanation as to why they would allow waivers of four other requests and not hers.

Municipal Judge Joseph Walden refers offenders to drug, alcohol treatment and education programs unlike judges in the 19th Circuit…I take it this is why I haven’t seen any of their names up for a damn award…

I have sat in court in the 19th Circuit where offenders have been turned away…that’s right…turned away. That is what our court system is doing, turning those who need help away, so that they get in trouble again, and again…This is the way the 19th Circuit Court does business. Yes, I said business…

Like I have said in the past…Not all offenders will be violent, but they will need help and guidance along the way, and NO…Randall Houston, I do not mean they need their hands held. Why should our courts use the addictions of others to prosper? One thing our courts need to get straight is we the people are not lab rats for all you bastards to experiment on.

I hate that I must compare our local judges with other judges, but the 19th Circuit judges, they do need their hands held. In reference to the article “How to tell a Democrat from a Republican” I have one thing to add, How do you tell a democrat from a republican if they themselves don’t know who they are?

I may be too old school or just too Liberal, but I believe one is born into their party affiliation. Example: I am a woman who was born to be just that and I firmly believe that a person who enters the election as a Republican should “REMAIN” to be just that. If your campaign is based on Republican views and you are elected, then my liberal ass will gladly accept, but in the event you get a wild hair up your ass and feel the need to switch parties…well then, lets just say you are SOL and I for one will work hard to see that you lose many votes, but NOT because you are a Democrat or Republican simply because you have LIED to the public.

If you are Democrat one day and Republican the next, then this my friend is called Hypocrisy. How can we the people trust those who are continuing to go from one side to the next? I am starting to believe there is more than party switching going on…

We can NO longer tell democrats from republicans this is something that is decided in the spur of the moment.
