Finally the king, their father, sent a herald announced that if any marriage proposal, his prince or peasant, you can find the secret, and to find out it is dancing princess, he should not have only one he liked his wife the best , but should in due course, inherit the Kingdom. They can try three times, but after three days and three nights, who had tried and failed to be put to death.
The first son of the king luck. He accepted, and in the evening, he said he was ready to begin the trial, he was taken to a room, resulting in a to which the Princess was shut, every night out. There, he was to sit and watch, so what might happen, not that he can see and hear. But, oh dear, it was not long ago, the king's son fell asleep; when he woke up in the morning, it seems that twelve princess must have been out dancing just as usual as the soles of their slippers, is just as As always full of loopholes. The same thing happened in the second and third night, so what is it, the king ordered his head cut off according to bargain.
After this the prince, duke, earl, and many people want to come out, but they did not perform better, no one can find 12 Dancing Princess secret.
Now, by chance one day, a poor soldier, who had just left the army, by country, came to the kings of wandering; and, because he is passing through the wood, he met an old woman who asked him who he is, and he was going.
"I'm just a poor soldier, I'm going to seek my fortune," he said civil liability, and that the two of them sat down to rest. Soldiers began to talk of his wounds, and his war in difficult times and low wages. This is a sad story, but he is a jolly fellow, he told it lively.
"Is true, Grandma," the soldiers asked now, "a kingdom, his wife, in this part of the country to win? They told me that one is for them to have to find twelve dancing princess what night you how it is managed thinking? "" Well, said: "the old woman," This is really not very hard work. "" Other people do not find it too easy, "the soldiers replied," But I must say that I want to try me luck. "" If you really want to try, said: "old woman" the first thing to be careful not to drink wine in the evening Princess will bring you any, but then, when she left you, When she thinks you are drunk it all, you have to pretend to go fast asleep. "soldier's good advice for her she is such a beautiful old woman did something to him more. She gave him a small cape.
"As long as you put this little cape would be invisible, if you need to take very great care and tenderness, you should be able to follow the princess no matter where."
"Where do they go?" Asked the soldier.
"See themselves."
Just an old woman said, than she disappeared.
So you can guess, this very good proposal, the soldier is made up his mind that, although he knew what the bargain, he has to get his wife and a kingdom. So, now he went straight off to the king, and told him that he was to try to find out the secret.
Although he is only a poor soldier, he was only the Prince and Duke, and all have received, but because he is all tattered and torn, the king ordered the fine the court to get him. When night came he was led, as others have been to the room, leading off in one of the Sleeping Beauty. As he himself resolved to see, who should come, but the princess: happily talking to him her hand and she had a cup of wine. Soldiers thank her, but instead of drinking the wine, he succeeded in taking down all of this secret, careful not to hit so many drop.
Then, he laid himself on his bed, and in a little while, he pretended to snoring, and very loud too, as he in deep sleep. Twelve princess has pretended to be asleep, but in fact they are listening, when they heard how soldiers have begun to snore, they laughed merrily.
"This stupid guy will be like other people lost their lives!" Said the boss. "You see, if he does not." Then they all stood up and began to open their boxes and boxes. Bustling about, chattering joking, they took out their beautiful clothes, and began to dress up the mirror itself. Currently the youngest, said:
"I do not know how it is, sister, but when you seem to feel happy because usually I feel strange and uneasy tonight, just like some bad luck will happen to us!"
"You goose! You are young and stupid thing!" Replied the boss. "You're always afraid of something or other and you forget how much the Prince and Duke trying to figure out our secret, and all in vain? As this silly beggarly soldiers, I believe, even if I do not usually sleep in view of his draft, he would like sleep like pigs! "
As long as they were wearing and ready, they tiptoed to the soldier's room to see. They can see he still seems to sleep, does not seem to stir hand or foot. Then, Princess gently back to her own bed, and standing by it, she clapped her hands, which the bed and sink into the floor trap door suddenly opened.
Soldiers, who had quietly got up and was now through the cracks in their doors, you can see twelve princess will be through this secret door, one after another, leading the way big. Is invisible as long as the last, he opened the door, throw his shoulders round his little cloak, gently stepping up the trap door and found it led down, because he had guessed that it must be a little winding staircase.
When he followed down the stairs just in the middle of the soldiers do not accidentally step on a long, the youngest of the beautiful princess dress train. She immediately cried out to her sisters:
"Someone grabbed my dress!"
"Young and stupid thing!" Said the boss. "I'm sure it's just caught on a nail!" So they all go on. In the bottom of the soldiers found them in the trees outside the castle pleasant way, because its members are silver, which glistened and sparkled now made of leaves. The best soldiers that he will take some symbolic proof, he has, so he cut off a small branch, but his horror, he broke it because the whole tree seems to give a warning, as if the loud crack. Once more the youngest princess of the shock.
"I believe something is wrong," she cried. "Did you hear the strange noise? Never happened!" But the boss said:
"Pooh! This is only our princes, and I hope they are happy, because they can hear the call we come."
Then they came to another way of trees, their leaves are made of gold, after the third, each leaf is made of sparkling diamonds. As the soldiers broke the branches from each tree sample, the same loud crack sounded a warning every time the youngest sister tremble with fear. However, the oldest still think this is just their prince, who is happy shouting.
Finally they came to a huge lake: and their soldiers to see twelve boat ashore to lay in their swing paddle quietly handsome prince. In a strengthening of the ship Princess, Princess lead, then, all final, the soldier silently entered carefully as the youngest in the same boat. Because they are crossing the lake, the prince who is rowing the boat with the youngest soldiers in it, and ship, said to her:
He said: "The boat seems very heavy today! I do not know why this is so, but although I am rowing with all my strength, we would not be fast as usual."
"Do you think all this hot weather tired, said:" the youngest princess. "I feel very warm."
The other side of the lake stood a fine castle are lit with torch lights and windows, and soldiers can hear it coming and cheerful music. Horn, trumpet and kettle drums seem to have been hit. When they all landed up to the castle, where every prince and princess, his favorite dance. But the soldiers, who of course is invisible, or must I not dance.
However, each time a princess by her wine cup, drink it all the soldiers, so when she put the cup to her mouth was empty. Youngest sister was frightened in there, but as usual, the eldest son told her not to be so uptight.
Well, they danced until three o'clock in the morning, and then, because they are quite into the hole wear slippers, princess forced to leave off, and the Prince of boating in the lake they came back. This time, again invisible soldiers and Princess ships. On the other side, each princess left her prince, promised to come back the next night.
As long as they come back on the silver leaf tree holes Avenue, soldiers quickly ran to the stairs before the princess, laid himself in his bed, as if he never touched, as twelve sisters, there are so many jump tired , slowly, they can clearly hear him snoring in his bed to go, so they naturally feel that their secret is safe.
Then, I am very glad that they are undressed, put away their fine clothes, took off his worn slippers and dancing on the bed.
In the morning, the soldier said, about what had happened did not, because he thought he would like to once again enjoy such a wonderful visit the set, so, in the second night, everything happened as before. Soldiers walking down the wine again, pretending to sleep, but once he followed the princess.
Gold CupOn third night, however, a little different. The best soldier that he has a symbol, therefore, the king would have to believe the strange story he told, so when the dance ended, he took his cup of gold under the guise of one.
And now, of course, in the fourth morning, the time has come, the soldiers must declare the secret, you can guess, he carefully kept safe with him, he has collected the token.
King in his throne is ready, all around the court with him, and then the soldiers led inches
"Where my twelve daughters dance at night?" Asked the king.
"Your Majesty," the soldiers replied: "I have discovered the secret." He then told the king all happened, the first and last, on the prince, the castle, underground lakes, and all, then, to prove his story, He found the King's mark. He demonstrated his trees from three twigs of three ways, with each silver, gold and diamond leaves, and all final, he showed his Gold Cup, he has brought from the castle itself.
Then the king called Princess and asked the soldiers if they say what is true. When the king asked them, when they see the mark, they know that, finally, their secret was discovered. It is no use denying soldiers the story, they explain everything.
Then, the king, true to the bargain, and asked the soldiers:
"This is one you will choose a wife?" He replied:
"I am not very young myself, so I will choose the oldest." Their wedding day, and soldiers made heir to the Kingdom.

The Stone in the Road

Near a large village, there lived a rich man. He has worked with many rooms filled with beautiful things, very small lice. The growth of trees around the house a large green leaves. Under the tree is cool on the hottest days.
Rich man's house stood next to the road. Every day many people came along on the road, from farming.
The rich like to watch people as they pass through. Usually hey look at the dusty heat and fatigue. He then asked them to come in, the rest of the trees shade.
If they are thirsty, rich people ordered his servants to enable them to cool soda. If they are hungry, and he gave them the fine white bread, cakes, sweet and juicy fruit. Tired of the rest under the shade of his mother happy. Children about the fun of playing on the grass.
In RoadHe Stone had his servant bring great stones, he put it in the middle of the road itself. Then he went into his home, sitting by the window down and see what happens.
The first person is a man who is going to sell his cattle, the village market.
When the man saw this big rock, he frowned.
"Why is the large stone in the fall in the middle of the road for the poor," he complained. "The man who lived in that beautiful house, and there must be rich, why did not he have his servant stone it?"
Whispers and wronged people with cattle, but he did not attempt to move the stone. He was too lazy.
He walked around, and pulled behind him cattle, and on the way to go to the market.
By the next person who is a farmer carrying corn to the plant to ground. When he saw the stone in the middle of the road, he began to complain of.
But the farmers did not attempt to move the stone. He was too lazy. He drove it around, and on the way and muttering and complaining.
Day, people driving along the road to rock and complain about the way that it is. But no one tried to move it. They are too lazy.
Gradually towards the evening the boy came along whistling Miller. He tried to day in the factory, he was very tired.
He came to the stone stopped.
"It will soon be black," he said to himself. "Some people know the big stone fall and be injured, I have it in any of its grow dark."
He held his hands in the stone. This is a very, very heavy and he can move it at the same time only a little way. In addition, he is from his hard work in the factory all day tired. However, he took all his might and pull until the end, he launched a road stones. "Now," said Miller's boy, "the stone can not hurt."
He put his hands in his pockets, and just start off at home, when he looked at where the stone is already in place. Have laid a big pot. It is hidden in the stone.
Miller's boy raised in the closed lid. Then, his eyes grow big as saucers. The pot was filled with shining gold pieces!
There are things written on the pot side. In the Miller boy bent down, spelling out
He read:
"This pot and the gold belong to one who took away the stone."
"Why," said Miller of the boy, clapping his hands. "This means that I definitely want to."
He is gone, dragged behind a heavy pot, and thinking how surprised and pleased at home folks over his good fortune.
The rich man from his window to see very happy, too. Finally, he found some one who is not afraid of work.

Hassebu Story

Once upon a time there lived a poor woman, only one child, a young son named Hassebu, who had an odd little birthmark on his chest.
When he thought no longer a baby, and his mother read it was time for him to learn, she sent him to school. And after he finished school, he was taken to a shop to learn how to make clothes, and have not learned, and he was taken in order to do silversmith's work, and have not learned, and what he was taught He did not learn it.
His mother never wanted him to what he did not want to do, she said, "Well, stay home, my son," and he remained at home, eating and sleeping.
One day the boy said to his mother: "What was my father's business?"

"He was a very learned doctor," she said.

"Where are his books? Asked Hassebu.

"Many, many days have passed and I thought nothing of them. But look inside and see if they are there." So Hassebu looked and saw they were insects, all but one book that he took it away to Read eaten.

He was sitting at home one morning poring over the medical book, when some neighbors came and said to his mother: "Give us young that we can go together to cut wood." For wood-cut was their job, and they would load several donkeys with firewood to sell in the city.

And his mother answered, "Well, tomorrow I'll buy him a donkey, and you can all go together."

So the donkey was purchased, and the neighbors came, and they worked hard all day and at night they brought back the wood in the city and sold it for a good sum of money. And six days they went and did that much, but on the seventh it was raining, and the woodcutter went and took refuge in the rocks, but all Hassebu who do not mind wet and stayed where he was.

As he sat in the place where the loggers had left him, he took a stone that lay by him and stand by him to the ground. The bell rang with a hollow sound, and he called his companions and said, "Come here and listen; The ground seems hollow"

"Knock again," she said. And he knocked and listened.

"Let us dig," said the boy. And they dug and found a large pit like a well filled with honey to the brim.

"This is better than firewood," she said, "brings us more money. And how you found it, Hassebu, it is you have to dip in the honey and give us and we will take it to the city and for sale, and the money with you. "

The following day brought every man and every bowl vessel he could find at home, and they all Hassebu filled with honey. And this he did every day for three months.
At the end of this time the honey was very nearly finished, and there was only a little to the left, bottom, and that was very deep, so deep that it seemed as if there must be exactly in the center of the earth.
Seeing this, the men said to Hassebu: "We are a cable stuck under his arm, and random, to let you scrape up all the honey, left, and if you have done, we will again lower the rope, and it is quickly to make and we will reach you. "

Hassebu is good for the hole'Very, left, "replied the boy, and he went, and he scratched and scraped, it was not so much honey left as if the tip of a needle." Now I'm ready, "he cried, but they belong together and said, "Let him there in the pit, and take its share of the money and we will tell his mother:" Your son was caught by a lion, and led into the forest, and we tried it to follow, but could not '. "

Then got up and went into town and told his mother, as she had agreed, and she cried a lot and made her grief over many months. And when the men split the money, they said, "Let us send a little of our friend of the mother," and they sent some to her, and every day they took their rice, and oil, it took her flesh, and a took her handkerchief, every day.

It was not long Hassebu to find out that his companion had left him to die in the pit long, but he had a brave heart, and hoped that he might be able to figure out a way for themselves. He immediately began to explore in the pit and found it went back a long way underground.

And at night he slept, and by day he took a little of the honey he had gathered and ate it, and gone so many days.

One morning, as he sat on a rock with his breakfast was a large scorpion on his feet, and he took a stone and killed her, for fear it would sting him. Then suddenly the thought flashed into his head, 'This scorpion must be coming from somewhere! Perhaps there is a hole. I will go and seek him. "He felt around the walls of the pit until he was a very small hole in the roof of the pit, with a tiny ray of light found at the other end. Then rejoiced his heart, and he drew his knife and dug and dug until the small was a big hole, and he was able to wriggle through. And when he came outside, he saw a large open space in front of him, and a way out of it.

He walked down the path further and further until it reaches a large house, was open with a golden door. Inside was a large hall in the middle of the hall, a throne set with precious stones, and a bed spread set with the softest pillows. And he went in and lay down on her and fell fast asleep, for he had wandered far.

Gradually, there was a noise of people coming through the court, and the measured tramp of soldiers. This was the king of the snakes come in state in his palace.

They entered the room, but all listened in amazement looking for a man to own the bed of the king. The soldiers wanted to kill him immediately, but the king said: "Leave him alone, sat on a chair." And the soldiers who, he was kneeling on the floor and he slipped from her shoulders on a chair. When he was sitting comfortably, he turned to his soldiers and ordered them to strangers wake up gently. And they woke him and Hassebu sat up and saw a lot of snakes around him, and one of them very beautiful, decorated in royal robes.

"Who are you?" Asked Hassebu.

"I'm the king of serpents," was the answer and this is my palace. And will you tell me who you are and where you come from? "

"My name is Hassebu, but where I come, I do not know yet where I go."

remain "Then a little bit with me," said the king, and he ordered his soldiers to bring water from the spring and fruits from the forest, and they set before the guest.

For some weeks Hassebu rested and celebrated in the palace of the king of serpents, and then he began to long for his mother and his own country. So he said to the king of serpents "Send me home, I pray."

But the king answered the serpent: "When you go home, you will be angry with me!"

"I will do no harm," said Hassebu, 'send me home, I pray. "But the king said," I know. If I send you home, you will come back and kill me. I dare not. "But Hassebu begged so much that at last the king said," Swear that if you go home you do not go swimming, where many people gathered to get. "And swore Hassebu, and the king ordered his soldiers to Hassebu in sight of his home town to take. Then he went directly to the home of his mother, and his mother's heart was glad.
Now the Sultan of the city was very ill, and all the wise men said that the only thing he had to cure the meat of the king of the snakes, and that the only man to get, it was a man with a strange mark on his chest could. So had the vizier to see people to the public baths, to see, set, if such a man was there.

For three days Hassebu remembered his promise to go, the king of serpents, and not in the vicinity of the baths, then a morning was so hot he could hardly breathe, and he forgot everything.

As soon as he slipped his robe he was before the vizier, who had said to him, "Guide us to the place where the king of the snakes live."

"I do not know!" he answered, but the Wazir did not believe him and left him tied up and beaten until his back was all torn.

Hassebu then cried, "Loose me, that I can make."

They went a long way until they reached the palace of the king of serpents.
Hassebu and said to the king. "It was not I look at my back, and you'll see how it drove me to it"

"If you beat this?" asked the king.

"This was the vizier," said Hassebu.
"Then I am already dead," the king said sadly, "but you do have to wear it themselves."

Sun Hassebu carried him. And on the way the king said: "When I arrive, I have to be killed, and my meat will be cooked, but take some of the water that I cooked, and put it in a bottle and place it on a page. . The minister will tell you to drink it, but be careful not to do. Then you take some more of the water and drink it, and you will become a great doctor, and the third delivery to you at the Sultan give, and when the vizier comes to you and asks, "Did you drink what I gave you? "You have to answer:" I have, and this is for you, "and he will drink and die, and your soul will rest."

And they went their way into the city, and everything happened just as the king of the snakes had said.

And the sultan loved Hassebu that is a great doctor, and cured many sick. But kept all his life Hassebu in his heart the memory of the king of the snakes.

Two out of the bag!

What a life that poor man out with his wife, to be sure! Not a day without her scolding passed him and called him names, and sometimes she would take the broom from behind the stove and beat him with it. He had no peace and comfort at all, and really hardly knew how to endure it.

One day, as did his wife had been very unfriendly and beat him black and blue, he strolled slowly into the fields, and since he could not bear to be idle, he spread his net.

What kind of bird do you think he caught in his net? He caught a crane, the crane and said, "Let me go, and I show myself grateful."

The man replied, "No, my dear, I'll take you home, and then maybe my wife not scold me so much.."

But he said Crane: "It would be better to go with me to my house," and so they went to the crane house.

When she got there, what do you think the crane was on the wall? He took a sack, and he said:

"Two of a bag!"

Buy two pretty lads sprang out of the bag. They brought in spreading oak tables, which they covered with silk, and set up all sorts of delicious food and refreshing drinks. The man had never seen anything so beautiful in his life, and he was thrilled.

Then the crane said to him: "Now take this bag with your wife."

The man thanked him warmly, took the sack and set out.

His house was a good long way off, as it was dark and he was tired, he stopped at his cousin's house by the way alone.

The cousin had three daughters, who designed wanted a tempting supper, but the man eat, and said to his cousin, 'Your dinner is bad. "

"Oh do, the best of it," she said, but the man just said: '! Clear away' and in his bag, he cried, as the crane had taught him: "Two out of the bag"

And out came the two beautiful boys who brought into the oak tables, spread the silk cloths, and laid out all sorts of delicious food and refreshing drinks.

Never in her life, the cousin and her daughters had seen as a dinner, and they were thrilled and amazed them. But the cousin took the bag to steal quietly, so she called her daughters. "Go quickly and heat in the bathroom I am sure our dear guest wants to take a bath before he goes to bed"

When the man was safe in the bathroom, she told her daughters to make a bag just like him, as soon as possible. Then she moved away two sacks and hid the man to shame.

The man enjoyed his bath, slept, and set out early the next morning, take what he had given him in the sack of the crane to be believed.

On the way home he felt in such good spirits that he sang and whistled as he walked through the woods and never noticed how the birds twittered and laughed at him.

As soon as he saw his house, he started from afar, "Hello scream! Old woman, come out and meet me!"

His wife shouted back: "You come here and I'll give you a beating with the poker!"

The man went into the house, hung the bag on a nail, and said, as the crane had taught him:

"Two out of the bag!"

But no one came out of the bag.

Then again said he had taught, just as the crane it:

"Two out of the bag!"

His wife, to hear him talk, who knows what took her wet broom and swept the floor around him.

The man fled and ran into the field, and because he was marching proudly around the crane, and he told him his story.

? Come back to my house, "said the crane, and so they went to the Crane House, and once they got there, what the crane from the wall Why he took a sack, and he said:

"Two out of the bag!"

And now two beautiful boys jumped out of the bag, has oak tables on which she laid silken covers, and spread to all sorts of delicious food and refreshing drinks.

Two SackThe in a man thanked him warmly, took the bag and left. He had to go a long way, but when he was hungry today, he said to the blind, as the crane had taught him:

"Do not boast of your cousins, what you have,
One - two - one - two -
Or find related catch it unusually hot "
One - two - one - two - "

And they beat up the man gasped:

"Two in the sack!"

The words were scarcely out of his mouth when the two crept back into the bag.

Then the man shouldered the bag and went straight to his cousin's house. He hung up the bag on a nail and said, 'Please have a heated bathroom, cousin. "

The cousin and heat the bath, and the man went in, but he neither washed nor rubbed, he just sat there and waited.

Meanwhile, his cousin was hungry, so she called her daughters, and all four of us sat down to table. Then the mother said:

"Two out of the bag!"

Buy the two rough men crept out of the bag and began to whack the woman arrested, as she cried:

"Greedy Pack! Thieving Pack!
One - two - one - two -
Give your cousin back his sack!
One - two - one - two - "

And they went to beat. The woman called her oldest daughter, "Go and get your cousin out of the bathroom. Tell him, the two ruffians to beat me black and blue."

"I have not finished rubbing me yet," said the farmer.

And to beat kept the two ruffians, as they sang:

"Greedy Pack! Thieving Pack!
One - two - one - two -
Give your cousin back his sack!
One - two - one - two - "

Then the woman said to her second daughter, "Quick, quick, come to him to me."

"I'm just washing my head," said the man

Then she sent the youngest girl, and he said: "I have not done drying myself."

Finally the woman could hold no more, and sent him the bag had been stolen.

Now he had quite finished his bath, and when he left the bathroom, he exclaimed,
"Two in the sack!"

And the two slipped right back into the bag.

Then the man took both bags, the good and the bad, and went home.

When he at the house, he shouted, 'Hello was! Old woman! Come out and meet me! "

His wife cried just, 'You broomstick, come here! Your back will pay for it. "

The man walked into the tent, hung the bag on a nail, and said, as the crane had taught him:

"Two out of the bag!"

Buy two pretty lads sprang out of the bag, has oak table, laid silken covers on them and spread them with all sorts of delicious food and refreshing drinks.

The woman ate and drank, and praised her husband.

"Well, old man, I do not want to, you do not hit," she said.

When they had finished eating, the man carried out the good bag and put it in his warehouse, but the other bag hung on the nail. Then he went out and strolled up and down in the yard.

Meanwhile his wife was thirsty. She looked with longing eyes on the bag, and finally she said as her husband had done:

"Two out of the bag!"

And crawled at one time, the two villains with their big sticks out of the bag, and began her singing as she belabour:

"Would you beat your man true?
Do not cry so! Now we will beat black and blue!
Oh! Oh! '

The woman shouted, "Old man, old man Come here, quick Here are two ruffians pommelling fit me, break my bones!".

Her husband just laughed and said, 'Yes, they will beat you well, old lady. "

And the proposed two away, and sang again:

"Blows is injured, remember, Crone,
We do you think we mean well;
In the future, leave the stick alone,
For as it hurts, you can say now,
Whack, whack, whack! '

Finally her husband took pity on her and shouted:

"Two in the sack!"

Place your feet inside, a well-educated duckling always keeps his legs wide apart, like his father and mother, to look like! Now you can prevent neck and says Rapp. ""
And they were doing when they heard. But the other ducks that were on the court looked at her and said loudly: "Just to see, now we have another brood, as if there were not enough of us already, and Pooh How ugly that it is! We will not tolerate it, "and immediately one of the ducks flew at him and bit him in the neck.
"Leave him alone," said the mother, "he does not harm anyone."
"Yes, but he's so big and so strange-looking and therefore he will be teased."
"These are beautiful children, our good mother," said the old duck with the red rag around his leg. "Everybody is pretty much except one, and that has succeeded not good. I wish it could almost be hatched again"
"This can not be, please contact your highness," said the mother. "Certainly, it is not pretty, but he is a very good child, and swims like the other, in fact somewhat better. I think he is like all the others grow in time and may look smaller. He stayed so long in the egg shell that is the cause of the difference, "and she scratched the duckling's neck, and ran all over his body. "Besides," she added, "he is a drake, I think he will be very strong, so it does not matter so much, he is on his way to fight through."
"The other ducks are very pretty," said the old duck, "pray make yourself at home, and when an eel head, you can bring him to me."
And accordingly, they were at home.
But the poor duckling, the last one had come out of its egg shell, and who was so ugly, was bitten, pecked, and teased by both ducks and chickens. "It's so big," said it all. And the turkey that had come into the world, with spurs on, and so he thought Kaiser had puffed himself out like a ship in full sail, and marched up to the ducklings all red with passion. The poor little thing hardly knew what to do, he was in despair because he was so ugly, and because he was the ridicule of the barnyard.
Thus passed the first day, and then issues got worse, the poor little thing was despised by all. His brothers and sisters behave unfriendly, and were constantly saying: "The cat you get, you evil creature" The mother said, "Oh, you were only far away!" The ducks bit him, the chickens pecked at him, and the girl who should feed the birds came to him. He ran over the hedge, the little birds in the bushes were horrified. "That's because I'm so ugly," thought the duckling and closed his eyes, but he went on. At last he came to a wide moor, where some wild ducks lived here he was up all night so tired and so bleak. On the morning of the wild ducks were flying, and saw her new companion. "Pray who are you?" she asked, and our little duckling turns into all directions, and greeted them as politely as possible.
"You really are extremely ugly," said the wild duck, "but not about us not care if you do not marry into our families." Poor thing! He had never intended to marry, he only asked permission to lie among the reeds and drink the water from the bog.
Since he was two full days on the third day came two wild geese, or rather Ganter, who not long out of their egg shells, which had for their impertinence accounts.
"Hark ye," she said, "you're so ugly that we as infinitely good;? Bang! a gun was all at once, and the two wild geese were curious dead in the reeds, the water was red with blood, Bang! a gun went, flew all the flocks of wild geese from the wetlands, and follows another report.
There was a large hunting party: the hunters lay in wait everywhere, some were even sitting in the trees, whose branches stretched far over the vast marsh. The blue smoke rose through the dense trees like a fog, and was scattered, as it fell over the water, the dogs splashed through the mud, reeds and rushes bent in all directions-how frightened the poor little duck was! He turned his head and thought to hide it under his wing, and in a moment a terrible looking dog was close to him, his tongue hanging out of his mouth, his eyes glistened anxious. He opened wide his jaws at the sight of our ducklings, he showed his sharp white teeth, and splash, splash! he was away, away, without hurting him.
"Well, let me be thankful," he sighed, "I am so ugly that not even a dog will eat me."
And now he was still shot while the shooting continued in the reeds, the following shot.
The noise could not stop until late in the day, and even then the poor little thing did not dare move, he waited several hours before he saw around him, and then proceeds from the moor as fast as he ran. He ran across fields and meadows, but the wind was so high that he had some difficulties procedures.
Towards evening he reached a hovel, so miserable that it is not known to fall on the page, and are therefore remained. The wind was blowing, so that our poor little thing was on his tail to support, to stand against them, but it got worse and worse. He then noticed that the door had lost one of its hinges and hung so much wrong, he could crawl through the cracks in the room, which he did.
In this room, an old woman lived with her cat and her hen, and the cat, which she called her son, she knows how to purr back, and, indeed, he himself could emit sparks when stroked the wrong direction. The hen had very short legs, and was therefore called "cuckoo Shortleg," she laid a very good eggs, and the old woman she loved like her own child.
The next morning noticed the new guest was, the cat started to meow, and the hen to cluck.
"What's going on", "asked the old woman to look around, but the eyes were not good, so she took the little duckling a fat duck that had lost their way." This is a capital catch, "she said, "I'm going to duck" eggs, if not a drake: We have to try it. "
And was positioned so the duckling to the one for three weeks, but no eggs, made their appearance.
Now the cat was the master of the house, and the hen was mistress, and she always used to say: "We and the world" for themselves, not just half of the world, but also to be by far a better idea half. The duckling thought it was possible to have a different opinion, but that would not allow the hen.
"Can you lay eggs?" she asked.
"No!"
"Well, then hold your tongue."
And the cat said: "Can you purr your back can you?"
"No!"
"Well, then you should have no opinion, speak if reasonable persons."
And the duckling sat alone in the corner and was in very bad humor, but he happened to think of the fresh air and sunshine, and these thoughts gave him a strong desire to swim again, that he could not help him to say, the chicken .
"What's wrong?" said the hen. "They have nothing to do, and ponder why these fantasies: either add eggs, or purr, then you will forget them."
"But it's so delicious to swim," said the duckling, "so delicious, when the water close over his head, and throw yourself on the floor."
"Well, this is a strange kind of pleasure!" said the hen. I think you have to be crazy. Do not talk about myself, ask the cat he most reasonable animal I know is, whether to swim or to the bottom of the water falling. Ask our mistress, the old has-no one in the world wiser than they, do you think they would like to take in swimming, and the waters closed over his head? "
"You do not understand me," said the duckling.
"What we do not understand! So you think is smarter than the cat, and the old woman to speak not of myself. Do not want something, child, but for all the kindness you showed, thanks. You are not put in a warm room, and you do not have the benefit of society, from which one can learn something? But you're a fool, and it is tedious to have something to do with you. Believe me, I wish you all the best . I tell you disagreeable things, but it's true that real friendship shown. Come on, give yourself time to learn the hard whisper, or to lay eggs. "
"I think I'll go out into the world again," said the duckling.
"Now go," replied the hen.
So the duckling left. He swam on the surface of the water, he threw himself under, but all the animals past him because of his ugliness. And the autumn came, the leaves yellow and brown, the wind caught her and they danced on the air was very cold, the clouds were sitting hard by hail or snow, and the Raven on the hedge and croaked:-the poor little thing was certainly not very pleasant!
One evening, was just as the sun set with unusual splendor, there was a large flock of beautiful birds out of the bushes, the duckling had never seen anything so beautiful, its plumage was of a snowy white, and she had long, slender necks. They were swans, they encountered a singular reputation for its long, glorious wings and flew away from these cold regions to warmer countries across the open sea. They flew so high, so high! and were the little ugly duckling feel so strange, he turned around and around in the water like a water wheel, strained his neck to look after them, and sent a such a loud scream and strange, that it almost frightened himself.-Ah! he could not forget the noble birds! the happy birds! When he saw her no more, he fell to the bottom of the water, and when he stood again, was almost beside himself. The little thing did not know what were the names of birds, not knowing where they flew, but he loved how he never loved, he did not envy them, provided he could never have dreamed of such beauty loves for himself, he would were very satisfied when the ducks in the duck yard, however, had endured his company the poor ugly creature!
And the winter was so cold, so cold! The Duckling had to swim around in circles in the water, to keep it from freezing, but every night of the opening, in which he swam always smaller; it so that the crackling crust of ice froze, the duckling had to make good use of his legs, completely prevent the water from freezing, at last, tired out, he was stiff and cold in the ice.
Passed early in the morning by a farmer who saw him, the ice broke into pieces with his wooden shoe, and took him home to his wife.
He again, the children would play with him, but thought our duckling, she wanted to tease him, and jumped into his horror in the milk-pail, so that the milk was spilled in the room: the good woman cried, clapping hands, he flew from there into the pan where the butter was kept, and from there out into the meal-barrel, and again, and then, how strange he looked!
The woman screamed and hit him with the tongs, the children ran races with each other trying to catch him, and laughed and cried as well. It was good for him that the door was open, he jumped from the bushes in the snow and lay there like a dream.
But it would be too sad to all the trouble and hardship that, subject to suffer, while the severity of the winter, he started you on a moor in the reeds, when the sun will shine again was referred, sang the larks, and beautiful spring was returned.
And again he shook his wings. They were stronger than before, and carried it forward quickly, and before he knew it, he was standing in a large garden where the apple trees in full bloom, where the lilacs their fragrances sent down, and hung their long green branches down in the winding channel. Oh! everything was so beautiful, so full of the freshness of spring! And from the thicket came three beautiful white swans. They showed their feathers so proud and swam so easy, so easy! The Duckling knew the splendid creatures, and was seized with a strange melancholy.
"I will fly them to the royal birds!" he said. "They will kill me because I was so ugly, I thought, I approach them, but it does not matter, are better killed by them as to the ducks, chickens pecking by the girl, bitten the feeds came poultry, and so much suffering during the winter have! "He flew into the water and swam towards the beautiful creatures they saw him and shot at him. "Just kill me," said the poor animal, and he bowed his head low and expected death, but what he saw in the water?-He saw it its own form, not that of a clumsy, ugly, gray bird, it was that of a swan.
It does not matter to have been born in a duck yard, if you hatched from a swan's egg.
The good creature felt really increased through all difficulties and adversities he had experienced. He was now able to properly understand his own happiness and the greater swans swam round him and stroked him with their beaks.
Not an ugly duckling but a swan! Some small children were called out to run around in the garden, they threw bread and corn into the water, and the most recent: "There is a new one!" The other said, "Yes, there are a new swan!" and they clapped their hands and danced around. They ran to her father and mother, bread and cakes were thrown into the water, and everybody said: "The new one is the best, so young and so beautiful!" and the old swans bowed before him. The young swan felt so ashamed, and hid his head under his wing, he hardly knew what to do, he was not too happy, but proud, because a good heart is never proud.
He recalled how he had been persecuted and ridiculed, and he heard every now say that he was the most beautiful of all birds. The lilacs bent their branches to him low in the water and the sun was so warm and bright, he shook his feathers, stretching his slender neck, and said in the joy of his heart: "How little I dreamed of so much happiness, If I was the ugly duckling! "

Legend Of Frog ( Japan )

Once upon a time in the country of Japan there lived two frogs, one of whom made his home in a ditch near the city of Osaka, on the coast, while the others stayed in a clear stream that ran through the city of Kyoto.
With such a large distance, they had never heard even from each other, but funnily enough the idea came into both their heads at once that they like to see a little of the world, and the frog who lived at Kyoto wanted to Osaka, and the frog who wanted to go to Osaka to Kyoto, where the great Mikado had his palace lived to visit.
So one fine morning in spring, both along the road from Kyoto to Osaka, led a set from one end and the other from the others. The trip was tiring, as they expected because they did not know much about traveling, and halfway between the two cities was a mountain that had to be climbed.
It took a long time and many hops to reach the top, but since they were last, and what was the surprise of the other frogs to see of him! They saw each other for a moment without speaking, and then got to talking and said that the cause of their meeting from as far their homes.
It was wonderful to see that they both felt the same desire - a little more to learn from their home and there was no hurry they stretched themselves agreed in a cool, damp place, and that they have a good rest before they parted, to go on their ways.

"Too bad we are not bigger," said the Osaka frog, "because then we both cities could see it from here, and say whether it is worth going on."

"Oh, that's easy to manage," said the Kyoto frog. "We've only got to get up on our hind legs and holding each other, and then we can all look at the city he is traveling on."

Japanese FrogThis idea pleased the Osaka so much that he jumped at once frog and put his front paws on the shoulders of his friend, who also increased. There were two, stretching themselves as high as they could, and were holding each other so that they may fall.
The Kyoto frog turned his nose towards Osaka, Osaka, and the frog turned his nose towards Kyoto, but forget the foolish things of that when she got up, put her big eyes in the back of their heads, and that though their noses might point to the places to which they wanted to go their eyes saw the places from which they came.

"Oh, God," said the frog Osaka, Kyoto is exactly like Osaka. It is certainly not worth such a long journey. I'm going home! "
The monkey likes to run fast swinging tree trunks and from branch to branch.
Like the elephant slowly walking through the jungle, a path for himself with his long, strong trunk.
The elephant and the monkey were friends, but one day they had a fight.

The elephant was very proud because he knew he was very strong.

"I am the strongest animal in the jungle," he said to the monkeys. "See how I trample the bushes with my feet!"

He twisted his trunk around a young tree and pulled her by the roots.

"Could you do that?" the elephant said proudly.

Now the monkey was as proud as the elephant. But the monkey was proud because he was so very quickly.

The monkey quickly ran into a big tree. He swung from branch to branch with his long arms. Then he hung by his tail from the highest branch of all.

He rose quickly to a lower branch and called the elephant:

"Could you do it? Can you climb a tall tree and swing your tail from a branch?"

The elephant had to shake his big head, but he said, "It is better to be strong, as fast."

The monkey shook his little head.

"No," he said, "it is better to be fast, be strong."

The elephant said, "No, no," and stamped his feet.

And the monkey: "No, no," and waved his arms.

The elephant stamped and stamped his feet, and the monkey nodded and waved his arms.

Then they saw the owl sitting up, blinking in a tree on it.

"The owl is a wise old man," said the elephant. "Let us pray to him, it's better to be strong or to be quick."

"All right," said the monkey.

They called up the owl, "Which is better, too much or too fast to be?"

"You must do what I tell you," answered the owl, "and then you will know. Do you see that tall tree with golden fruit on the other side of the river, please go and have to get the fruit and bring it to me .

So the elephant and the monkey began. Soon they came to the River. It was very deep and the water ran very fast.

The monkey one foot in the water. Then he took them quickly. He was afraid.

"I can not over this river," he said to his friend the elephant. "It's too deep and the water runs too quickly."

"I'm so big and strong, I can swim that river," said the elephant. "It is not too deep or too fast for me.

"You can climb on my back if you like and I will carry you over."

So the monkey climbed back on the elephant. He sat high and dry on the elephant's head, while his great friend swam across the river.

After a while they found the tree. It was very, very large, and its golden fruit hanging high above their heads.

Elephants and elephant monkeyThe twisted his trunk around the tree and tried to pull it down. But he could not bend or break the tree. It was too strong for him. He tried to reach the golden fruit with his trunk, but the fruit hung too high.
"I can not to the fruit," the elephant said sadly. "What should I do?"

"Oh," said the monkey. "I can climb trees."

He quickly ran to the tree trunk and swung from branch to branch. He raised his large golden fruit, and threw her to the ground. The elephant picked up the fruit and they deposited large holed up in his mouth.

Then ran the monkey climbed the tree and the elephant's head again. The two friends started on their way home.

The elephant swam across the deep river fast and soon they were back at the owl tree.

"This is the ripe, golden fruit that you wanted, friend owl," she said. "Now tell us who is better to be strong or to be quick."

The owl took the fruit.

"Well, of you can bring me this?" He asked.

"I did it," said the monkey. "The elephant can not climb trees."

"But I entrusted to the swift deep river," said the elephant. "The monkey was afraid to swim across it."

"Then bring me the fruit together," said the owl.
"None of you could get the fruit alone.
"Can we say then, what is better to be strong or fast to be? He is the elephant took both the strength and speed of the monkeys get the rewards."
