This was a wedding that we were looking forward to the entire year. We knew we would be going to the woods and barn in November, and that Jessa and Ryan are going to have Chinese lanterns and fireworks. Although that was a surprise to the guests, we knew about it. We stayed in the oldest inn in the entire Berkshires region (W. Mass) The Old Inn on the Green (if you ever go to western Mass, check it out. The restaurant is Zagat rated)
We arrived a day before the wedding for the family dinner and sent off the Chinese lanterns at the Mepal Manor, not far from the Gedney Farm, where the wedding was going to take place the next day. We recorded some unbelievable toasts there from Ryan and his parents. Everybody loved the Chinese lanterns, it was a great surprise!
On the wedding day, we started off with bride preps at Jessa’s aunts house, not far from the farm. Afterwards, we headed back to the Mepal Manor for the first look and some creative shots. Jessa was an absolute trooper bearing the frigid cold in her wedding dress. The wedding was inside the barn, surrounded by trees inside of it. I have no idea how they got 25 foot trees inside. Although there wasn’t much room to move around at the ceremony, we ended up with some beautiful shots.
The reception was very relaxed and spontaneous, with some amazing cuisine, especially the Indian. Everything culminated in the surprise fireworks behind the barn. There were times it felt really close and 3D, coming towards us. Something we will never forget.

In conclusion, this was that kind of wedding, that sets a standard we compare other weddings to. And Jessa and Ryan are clients that we always hope for. It was our last wedding of the year, and it was better than we anticipated. We are so glad to finish 2011 with a bang. Please enjoy this amazing wedding of Jessa and Ryan, we certainly enjoyed creating it.

PS: We got lost on the way there, trying to outsmart our GPS. We got lost in he middle of a forest and had to ask campers for directions. Just to give you word of advice, if you are going to Berkshires from Connecticut don’t take the I-84 towards Springfield, it’s a much longer and more difficult road.

An Irish wedding at the Candlewood Inn, Brookfield CT. We got lucky to see an unbelievable sunset over the lake with some awesome reds, orange and purple. Can’t wait to come back there again. Jeff is a really tall guy. We had sometimes trouble to frame them both in the shot. And check out those sweet purple shoes on Lauren’s feet. What a unique and lay back wedding from West Haven, CT. Everything was so relaxed and natural. Their personal vows, that we also recorded prior to the ceremony, made for some beautiful voice over. We really like this new way of editing. Amanda is an aspiring actress and Dan is breaking into wedding videography business in his very unique way. We cannot wait to see his first wedding.

Please watch until the end, to see the dancing footage we got at this wedding. There were lights, lasers and fog. Yes a fog. It gave the film so much dimension. Probably the best dancing footage we have ever recorded. We couldn’t believe the transformation form just an ordinary tent to something so cool. The lighting was so spectacular, also during the parent dance.

This was a British-American wedding. Half of the guests spoke American English and the other half spoke, well English. And as you can see the best man speech was absolutely hilarious. The backyard, tent reception creates such a unique and different feel, in comparison to traditional reception venues.

Nautical theme wedding at the Mystic Yachting Center. Celeste asked us to edit some of the footage to look like an 8mm film. I think it came out great. And how awesome are those shots on the docks at dusk. Great timing. Special thanks to awesome DJ Ryan Kristafer for hooking us up. A wedding from historic Mystic Seaport, Latitude 41. We got some unbelievable night shots from this wedding. We are really starting to get into the night shots, every time we get an opportunity. It was also quite an emotional wedding, that made for some great footage. We absolutely loved it. We always push ourselves to create more cinematic and emotional shots.

First, I have to say that Stephanie reminds us of Marisa Tomei. It must be the haircut. She was so photogenic.
The ceremony was just so beautiful with all the flowers, branches and perfect sunset. The only flaw was the DJ’s mic was going in and out the entire ceremony and it was super disrupting, including to our audio recording as well. So if you hear it while watching the film, that’s what it was. We wish they have ditched their mic in the beginning, it would have been much better for everybody.

We were working with our good friend and awesome photographer Kiva from Annandale Photography. We just love to work with him!

One of our favorite weddings of all time. We traveled to Ritz Carlton Manhattan, where our bride and groom were getting ready. If you actually watch carefully, there’s a shot with the new construction of the new World Trade Center building in the back. The wedding was held at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Everything from ceremony to amazing flower arrangement was absolutely stunning, as was the bride. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results and we were honored to preserve the memories for such a happy couple.
