Simon Says Stamp a wedding card

Ca faisait plus d'un mois que je n'avais pas fait de carte, je me suis vraiment fait plaisir à créer celle-là... J'ai utilisé une seule feuille de papier Basic Grey Capella, ma collection favorite pour les thèmes autour du mariage, et me suis bien amusée avec les embellissements en tout genres (napperon, dentelle, fleurs, perles).

I can't believe I spent more than a month without making any card... I really enjoyed making that one. I used just one sheet of Basic Grey paper from the Capella collection (my go(to collection for wedding-themed projects). I really enjoyed adding all the details with the doily, lace, flowers and pearls. I'm entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp challenge, which is "anything goes" this week.

Cupcake Cutie

Cette semaine le challenge Ladybug Crafts Ink est un peu spécial: nous prenons un peu de vacances cet été et le challenge, au lieu de durer une semaine comme d'habitude, dure tout le mois de juillet (nous aurons aussi un seul challenge pour le mois d'août, avant de revenir à un challenge par semaine en septembre). Le thème du challenge a été choisi par Sue: anniversaires d'été. Vous pouvez interpréter ça comme ça vous chante... De mon côté, j'ai utilisé l'image "Cupcake cutie - cherry on top" avec des papiers aux couleurs estivales...

This week the Ladybug Crafts Ink challenge is special: we're having a little summer break, so instead of lasting only one week the challenge spans on the entire month of July. then we'll have one challenge for the month of August, then we'll be back to the normal rythm of one challenge a week in September. So the July theme has been chosen by Sue, and she chose summer birthdays. I have created this card using the Cupcake Cutie - Cherry on top stamp.

All the DT have not only had to use the challenge theme, which is Christmas in June, but we have also each used one of the new images. There are 4 in all and you'll agree when you see their creations the new images are just fabulous! The image I used is O Christmas Tree, and the sentiment is one of the two that comes with the image.

Cette semaine c'est moi qui ai choisi le thème du challenge Ladybug Crafts Ink. J'ai choisi la couleur rouge. Vous pouvez en utiliser un peu, beaucoup, ou même faire une carte toute rouge... à vous de voir, il en faut juste un peu pour que votre carte soit valable pour le challenge... Facile, non? Pour ma carte j'ai utilisé le tampon Buttercup with bird on head.

Baby baby

Cette semaine le thème du challenge chez Ladybug Crafts Ink a été choisi par Anita. Il s'agit de créer ses propres embellissements. J'ai eu un peu de difficulté avec ce thème... J'ai tamponné les petits animaux, découpé, percé un trou pour pouvoir les suspendre et j'ai voulu les recouvrir de glossy accents pour donner un côté plastifié... Mais ce que je ne savais pas, c'est que le glossy accents fait baver l'encre... Donc j'ai re-tamponné, re-découpé, re-percé, et cette fois-ci j'ai utilisé de la poudre à embosser transparente. Hélas je n'ai pas de UTEE, donc ma poudre faisait juste une couche minime même avec deux épaisseurs, pas d'effet plastique suffisant sur mes petits animaux... J'ai donc passé deux couches de glossy accents (en laissant sécher une journée entre les deux couches!). Cette fois-ci l'embossage a fait une barrière de protection qui a évité que l'encre ne file... On ne voit pas la différence à la photo, mais cette fois-ci, les animaux sont bien plastifiés et sont rigides, on peut secouer la carte et ça fait du bruit en cognant sur le fond... de quoi bien amuser un enfant je pense! Le bébé vient du set Baby Baby de Ladybug Crafts Ink, les animaux viennent d'un set de Stampin'Up.

This week's challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink has been chosen by Anita. She wants us to make our own embellies. I had some difficulties with that one... I stamped and cut the little animals, punched a hole and covered them in glossy accents. Then I discovered that the glossy accents made the ink run... So I re-stamped, re-cut, re-punched, and this time covered with clear embossing powder. I put two coats of embossing powder but it wasn't thick enough. I don't have UTEE so I put two coats of glossy accents (letting dry one day between the two coats). This time the embossing powder acted as a barrier and the ink didn't run... and now the little animals look like they're made of plastic and they are solid enough. When we move the card they make a little ringing noise against the back of the card, enough for a little child to have fun with it... The baby image comes from the Baby Baby set from Ladybug Crafts Ink and the animals are from Stampin'Up.
I'm just within the time limit for entering my card in the "Babies" challenge at Fuzzy Wuzzy and there's a Teddy Bears theme both at Pollycraft and Crafty Calendar, hope my teddy bear costumed baby counts...

Joyeuse fête des mères

Bonne fête maman!

Voici la carte que j'ai faite pour ma maman à l'occasion de la fête des mères... J'y ai mis beaucoup d'embossage à froid (ce que j'aime) et de vert (ce qu'elle aime).

Today is Mother Day here in France. I have made this card for my mum, with lots of dry embossing (what I love) and green color (what she loves).
I'd like to enter my card in the "I believe in fairies" challenge at LOTV and the "embossed layers" challenge at WOC (WOC products used: roses and adhesive pearls).

Cette semaine le challenge chez Ladybug Crafts Ink, choisi par Mary J, est d'utiliser la couleur orange sur son projet. Comme vous pouvez le voir, cela n'a pas été trop difficile, j'aime bien cette couleur... L'enveloppe est amovible et elle contient mon image... J'ai utilisé le tampon BFF's Phoebe and Olivia, que j'ai encré à l'aide d'un marqueur memento pour ne garder qu'Olivia - j'ai redessiné le dos et le bord des cheveux qui normalement sont appuyés contre Phoebe...

On peut retirer l'enveloppe et découvrir Olivia qui dit bonjur!

This week the challenge atLadybug Crafts Ink has been chosen by Mary J. You have to use orange somewhere on your creation. As you can see, it was not too difficult for me, I do like orange... I used BFF's Phoebe and Olivia but inked it with a memento marker to only keep the Olivia part of the stamp. I just had to redraw the back and a little bit of the hair as they normally are pressed against Phoebe's back and hair... Then when you get the card, you have to take the enveloppe out and discover a little girl saying hello!
I'd like to enter this card into the "Twine, jute or string" challenge at My Partner in Crafting Crime .

Lorsque Christelle m'a offert ce classeur d'embossage Stampin'Up, je me suis demandé si j'en aurais l'usage, puisque j'ai tendance à faire des cartes dont on voit assez peu le fond. En général je favorise donc les petits motifs pour l'embossage... En fait, il ne m'aura pas fallu plus d'une journée de réflexion pour trouver une utilisation au classeur d'embossage "fleur de Manhattan". Merci Christelle! Cette carte m'a servi pour répondre à une invitation à un mariage. Elle me permet de vous présenter le challenge Totally Gorjuss de cette semaine: la base de votre carte ne doit pas être carrée.

Ce week-end j'ai accueilli un atelier Stampin'Up animé par Christelle. Nous avons passé un très bon moment et nous avons réalisé une carte cascade. Chaque carte était différente, je vous présente seulement la mienne car j'ai oublié de prendre en photo les autres avant que chacune rentre chez elle :(.

Last week-end I had a Stampin'Up demonstrator at home, Christelle, who helped my friends and I to create a waterfall card. It was a very nice time. Each card was different, I'm only presenting you the one I made, I didn't even think about taking a picture of my friends' cards before they took them away with them :(.

Tickled Pink Stamps challenge 18

J'ai fait cette carte pour participer au challenge 18 de Tickled Pink Stamps, qui est un sketch... J'ai utilisé leur image Mollie Mittens with Balloon et le beau ruban velours+dentelle en bas vient de chez Ladybug Crafts Ink.

I made this card according to the sketch at Tickled Pink Stamps challenge. I used their Mollie Mittens With Balloon stamp and the gorgeous lace velvet ribbon at the bottom of the card is from Ladybug Crafts Ink (I've had quite for quite some time now, but it's the first time I dare to cut some of it, does it sometimes happen to you that you so much love something that you don't dare using it?)

On top of the Tickled Pink Stamps challenge, I'd like to enter my card into these other challenges:

Blowing Bubbles

Cette semaine chez Totally Gorjuss le thème est un sketch. J'ai utilisé une image de chez LOTV, des papiers Stampin' Up et les 4 embellissements "epoxy dots" en haut de la carte viennent de chez Ladybug Crafts Ink.

This week at Totally Gorjuss the theme is a sketch. I used a LOTV image, Blowing Bubbles, of which I cut the upper bubble so as to be more versatile (the upper bubble has a heart shape). The papers are Stampin'Up and the four epoxy dots at the top of the card come from Ladybug Crafts Ink.

Le challenge de Ladybug Crafts Ink cette semaine, choisi par Lisa, est d'utiliser des pois. J'ai utilisé deux papiers à pois, l'un imprimé, l'autre embossé, dont la couleur se révèle avec un peu de ponçage... Pour cette carte j'ai utilisé un tampon du set Baby Baby.

This week's challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink has been chosen by Lisa and she chose "going dotty". I chose two dotted papers, the blue one simply printed, the beige/brown one being a core'dinations embossed paper on which the design is revealed by sanding. It was the first time I sanded paper, oh boy, that does make a lot of dust! But I like the effect. For my card I used a stamp from the Baby Baby set.
