When someone opens a door for you or gets you a cup of coffee or a cup of tea, you may say thank you very much.

God is never in the same category as a cup of coffee or a cup of tea.

God gives us life.

You may have heard some things about an “Attitude of Gratitude” that you have briefly thought about.  Cultivating an attitude of gratitude for the things we have in our lives is being grateful to God for what we have and/or for the way things are in our life.  In other words, having an Attitude of Gratitude or “Mind of Gratitude” raises your vibration, which attracts more good energy and brings in the things which you deserve.

Being grateful to God is not just about all the good that you get in your life.

Being grateful must include all that you have been through and all that you have learned and all that you have grown from (just a little more growth) while going through any of the experiences you have had in your life on this planet. 

Otherwise, why are you here on this planet? 

This is an important question.  Why are we here on this planet if we are not here to learn and grow from our life experiences?

Being grateful with an attitude of gratitude we see more abundance in our lives.

It is not a long drawn out process to express an attitude of gratitude, and it’s a private thing, and each day you can increase your happiness and health by about 25%.  This is amazingly notable!

Studies show that writing in a gratitude journal and utilizing the practice of having the “Attitude of Gratitude” regularly causes these wonderful side effects:

– Better physical and mental health; will have a better outlook on life and with more optimism.

– You become a better person; friends and family will see you as more generous, more forgiving, and more helpful and accepting of others.

– Inspirational; you will more likely work toward goals, be more alert, enthusiastic, determined and attentive.

– Makes you a better person; your friends will see you as more generous and helpful, you’ll be less envious of others.

– You will sleep better; you will get a more restful sleep and have more energy during the day.

Who wouldn’t want these wonderful side effects that come with an Attitude of Gratitude?

Dictionary.com defines tipping point as:
Tipping point (noun): the point at which an issue, idea, product, etc., crosses a certain threshold and gains significant momentum, triggered by some minor factor or change.

Many people know of the fascinating phenomenon of the tipping point. There is constant movement in the Universe and anything is possible. Everything is resonance and resonance can go up or down. Science Clarified says, “As its name suggests, resonance is a matter of one object or force ‘getting in tune with’ another object.”

One literal example of this involves shattering a wine glass by hitting a musical note that is on the same frequency as the natural frequency of the glass. (Natural frequency depends on the size, shape, and composition of the object in question.) Because the frequencies resonate, or are in sync with one another, maximum energy transfer is possible.

The following story too exhibits how consciousness works behind the scenes to change things.

Monkeys resonate at the same frequency of consciousness, so when enough Japanese monkeys were doing a particular behavior, a tipping point occurred. It flipped or shifted because of critical mass and caused a change in behavior across the oceans.

The 100th Monkey – A story about social change.

The Japanese monkey, Macaca Fuscata, had been observed in the wild for a period of over 30 years.

In 1952, on the island of Koshima, scientists were providing monkeys with sweet potatoes dropped in the sand. The monkey liked the taste of the raw sweet potatoes, but they found the dirt unpleasant.

An 18-month-old female named Imo found she could solve the problem by washing the potatoes in a nearby stream. She taught this trick to her mother. Her playmates also learned this new way and they taught their mothers too.

This cultural innovation was gradually picked up by various monkeys before the eyes of the scientists. Between 1952 and 1958 all the young monkeys learned to wash the sandy sweet potatoes to make them more palatable. Only the adults who imitated their children learned this social improvement. Other adults kept eating the dirty sweet potatoes.

Then something startling took place. In the autumn of 1958, a certain number of Koshima monkeys were washing sweet potatoes — the exact number is not known. Let us suppose that when the sun rose one morning there were 99 monkeys on Koshima Island who had learned to wash their sweet potatoes.

Let’s further suppose that later that morning, the hundredth monkey learned to wash potatoes.

THEN IT HAPPENED!

By that evening almost everyone in the tribe was washing sweet potatoes before eating them. The added energy of this hundredth monkey somehow created an ideological breakthrough!

But notice; A most surprising thing observed by these scientists was that the habit of washing sweet potatoes then jumped over the sea…colonies of monkeys on other islands and the mainland troop of monkeys at Takasakiyama began washing their sweet potatoes.

Thus, when a certain critical number achieves awareness, this new awareness may be communicated from mind to mind.

Although the exact number may vary, this Hundredth Monkey Phenomenon means that when only a limited number of people know of a new way, it may remain the conscious property of these people.

But there is a point at which if only one more person comes into a new awareness, a field is strengthened so that this awareness is picked up by almost everyone!

I am starting out with the bible verse because so many people read the bible, and it is a good example for what I want to write.

“GOD will heal us and restore us.” – Malachi 4:2. You have to do the healing work to get restored! It’s not a freebie. And why isn’t it a freebie? Because the Divine, God, Creator loves you and wants you to grow. It’s about your personal journey of growing and learning. That’s why you are on this Earth—to grow and learn who you are and to discover your gifts. Do you understand that there is no pill you can take to get you to enlightenment? Enlightenment doesn’t magically happen just because you believe it will happen, like we want to believe. It takes work from me, from you, from your neighbor, from your co-worker, from your sister, mother, whomever; as individuals, to heal and to restore me and you and to heal and restore our own self and our own soul. It’s an individual journey and you can’t take the neighborhood with you because they individually have their own journey and their own circumstances for learning and growing which is totally different from yours. It’s not an easy job and, as Guruji Mahendra Trivedi says, it doesn’t happen in a day, a week or a month.

And if you do this journey, you are considered a “rare bird” out of the gate. But it’s pretty cool that you are doing it! That is what counts – that you can see the potential of that which you can be.

Every one of us is our own healer. Accept everything as being perfect for the moment – for it is a perfect Holistic Remedy for our Healing. Every situation is a lesson and an opportunity to heal and to grow. We have all incarnated knowing what we are here to heal and what our purpose is. We know, but we don’t know. . . it is our own individual awakening to discover who we really are.

We are here on Earth for a Purpose, but to get to that Purpose it is for each one of us to find what it is that we need to heal on our own journey through life and to heal and to grow in love. The experiences we have in life are valuable gifts for our growth and learning. Open yourself up to learn from these experiences and you will experience growth and a better understanding.

“Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.” – Carl Jung. I like this quote because it represents that people are our mirror image. People reflect back to us what we need to learn – what we need to recognize and to heal and learn within ourselves.

“When the student is ready the teacher will appear.” – Lao Tzu. Everything is our teacher. There are more than just human teachers around us. One example might be there are abandoned animals waiting to be rescued by that human being possibly for a lesson in compassion or in love – every one of us has our perfect lessons in our own perfect timing. This is called your path to enlightenment, and it’s God’s creation to play in.

When we realize that everything including people are put in our path so that we have situations which are a little stressful or a lot more stressful so that we can learn we begin to see and to apply our lessons in our lives. We have struggles as we go along and hopefully we will not suffer. But without struggling in life there is no growth. Everybody has their own journey, and we cross paths when we need to get the lessons in order to improve ourselves for our continued growth. Perhaps that is what is meant by, ”It’s all in God’s perfect timing”?

We are not just brain and body because we have a soul, a spirit and we must learn to use our intuition and inner guidance and to raise our consciousness level to get more happiness out of life and to free ourselves. Without struggling our consciousness level remains the same and we cannot be happy in our life!

There are endless opportunities for us to heal our own soul. People we come into contact with are helping us to heal and we are continuously and unknowingly helping other people to heal their soul – daily and by our own actions and interactions whether we understand what is going on and are aware of it or not. There are all kinds of lessons that present themselves every day for us to learn, and if we do not learn from these situations they are repeated over and over for our benefit — until we get them.

You might be thinking “Oh, brother — repeated over and over until I get it?” Yup, that is the way it is. We have to learn and if we don’t learn and grow you now understand it –that nothing changes in our lives and nothing will improve in our lives unless we take action to change it on an individual basis.

It’s all about Love. And it’s all about lessons to help us grow. Did your mother ever tell you to “grow up?” Well it’s kind of like that only God keeps presenting us with lessons of learning as we go through life. We are like God’s children. But if you go off the path that’s okay too because it’s your path and no one else’s path. We have and do make choices that we have to live with because we create our own reality.

I want to share the following story with you about a famous music artist named George Harrison. It’s a beautiful story about someone who recognized his gift. For the short time he was on the planet he became extremely famous for his music creations that touched and affected so many lives.

This is a story of a man named George Harrison, one of the infamous Beatles, who was born in Liverpool, England and attended his first school off a street called Penny Lane (remember the song?). He attended Liverpool Institute, a school for smart children, and was thought to be a poor student. It is said that he would “sit alone in a corner” and was happy and content “being” by himself. Little did they know he was on a path to enlightenment.

“It is one of our perennial problems, whether there is actually a God. From the Hindu point of view each soul is divine. All religions are branches of one big tree. It doesn’t matter what you call Him just as long as you call. Just as cinematic images appear to be real but are only combinations of light and shade, so is the universal variety a delusion. The planetary spheres, with their countless forms of life, are naught but figures in a cosmic motion picture. One’s values are profoundly changed when he is finally convinced that creation is only a vast motion picture and that not in, but beyond, lies his own ultimate reality.” – George Harrison

George met Paul McCartney at Liverpool Institute and they started a band which eventually ended up being called “The Beatles”.

During the time of the Beatles’ popularity, George was known as the “Quiet Beatle”, because of his quiet inward manner along with his growing interest in the Hindu philosophy. He began playing the sitar (a stringed instrument used in Hindu music), which affected the sound of the Beatles music in songs like “Norwegian Wood,” “Love You To”, and “Within You Without You”. He met sitar virtuoso Ravi Shankar, who became a close friend and mentor.

George met with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and began meditations. In 1969, the Beatles produced a single called “Hare Krishna Mantra”; performed by Harrison and the enthusiasts of the London Radha-Krishna Temple that topped the 10 best-selling record charts throughout UK, Europe, and Asia. He and John Lennon met Swami Prabhupada A.C. Bhaktivedanta, the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Soon after, Harrison embraced the Hare Krishna tradition and remained devoted to it until his death.

After the Beatles officially dissolved in 1970, Harrison continued his solo career, which he had begun in 1968 with the electronic sound collage soundtrack Wonderwall Music. He released his three-record set All Things Must Pass (was #1), produced by Phil Spector and featuring guests like Eric Clapton and Traffic’s Dave Mason, which included the #1 hit single, “My Sweet Lord.”

It is likely that because of his path to enlightenment and his higher level of consciousness, Harrison organized a major charity concert event for Bangladesh. There were over 40,000 people who gathered in New York’s Madison Square Garden for his Bangladesh concert on August 1, 1971. (Bangladesh is bordered by India.) The concert raised millions of dollars in aid for the starving refugees of Bangladesh. Popular musicians like Bob Dylan, Leon Russell, Badfinger and Billy Preston performed, and classical sitar maestro Ravi Shankar opened the event.

With his solo career stalled since Cloud Nine, he expertly and skillfully revised “All Things Must Pass” which was released January 2001 as a reissue; this included “My Sweet Lord 2000,” and featuring his son, Dhani.

In 2001, George Harrison died from cancer at the age of 58. “Brainwashed”, which he had been working on with Dhani just before his death, was released one year later in 2002 and loved by all. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame two times for his place in the Beatles in 1988 and then for his solo work in 2004.

After his death, his family issued a statement saying, “He left this world as he lived in it, conscious of God, fearless of death and at peace, surrounded by family and friends. He often said, ‘Everything else can wait but the search for God cannot.’”
