Anonymous Internet Surfing and Anonymous internet Browsing.
Your IP (internet protocol) address is the most sensitive piece of information associated with your online identity. Almost every transaction you make with various websites or ISPs (Internet Service Providers) is aided by this small piece of information. Through your IP, you can be easily identified and located because it's your virtual address. To prevent websites from collecting personally identifiable data about you and your computer without your permission, you must employ the use of some kind of proxy or anonymous Internet browsing software.

Your IP can be easily exploited when known by the wrong people. Your personal files, passwords in various websites and credit card data can be stolen and used without any permission. Spam could be more easily targeted to you based on your IP. Identity theft happens to many individuals because they are unable to protect this small piece of information when they do their online transactions or use Internet programs.
Keep in mind that there are different degrees of anonymity and even following these steps do not guarantee 100% anonymity.

Public Anonymous Proxy.

When browsing the Internet you're browsing from your computer or router assigned IP address, this IP address can be used to track your general location and can help identify your visit. To help keep your computer anonymous you can use a web based proxy to browse the web. A web based proxy allows you to use an alternate computer to load a website and then display the results on your computer through the browser. Below is a short list of some of the available anonymous web based proxies.

When browsing the Internet you're browsing from your compIf you're in an area where you feel your connection may be compromised or sniffed, e.g. connecting to the Internet at a WI-FI hotspot. Using a HTTPS proxy is a great way to help encrypt data coming from the proxy to your computer that is not encrypted, helping to prevent any eavesdropping. If you're using a proxy web service such as Proxify, you can also use an HTTPS connection.

When using a proxy it is important to realize that the proxy you're using to browse the Internet could keep a log of visitors, which means if someone really wanted to find you such as law enforcement it may still be possible. Finally, keep in mind that you will not know who is controlling the proxy so if you're entering sensitive data such as usernames, passwords, credit card information, etc. or reading your e-mail that the person in control of the proxy could capture and read that information..

If you're curious, there are two forms of IP protection you can obtain: the free tools (free proxy websites) and paid software.

Before you dismiss free solutions because they might not live up to your demands, they still has some advantages. This is a recommended option to those who do not use the internet for business and financial transactions. If you're simply using the internet to read the latest news, watch videos and occasionally chat with your friends, it may not be necessary to pay for IP protection. But remember that the free option is often slow, contain ads, and you'll have to visit a specific website before using their services.

Paid services on the other hand, are a great option to visit online business websites, heavy internet users or simply to those who just want the utmost security in their computer. This option behaves like the proxy server and hence faster since it doesn't have any prior requirement except on installation. The software will immediately hide your IP address by providing different data to websites and would-be attackers.
Always consider the paid services to protect your data online. Only consider the free version if you're casually surfing online or you want to protect your identity in suspicious websites.

Free anonymous proxy.
The first option is the use of free anonymous proxy. Free proxy sites are available all over the Internet. You just enter the site link [the complete url, e.g. www.i-want-to-go-here.com, and you are taken to the webpage you want to visit. The good news is that, you will be browsing through their own Internet Protocol and so yours will remain hidden to the designation website. Proxy.org and HideMyAss.com are two good examples of such free proxy surfing sites. The bad news is these sites are often slow and contain many ads.

Anonymous proxy software and change ip software.
The second option, which is the best one is to use “hide your ip” software. There are many companies offering these kind of software online. The popular ones include Hide-My-IP software, Change My Ip Address, Anonymizer software and many more. They all do the same thing. Help you to mask your identity online so you can surf anonymously without any limitations. You simply download the software, install on your computer and from there on you are in complete control ,choosing the Internet Protocol address of whatever country you desire to surf anonymously with. It is better to use the software as most are designed by top companies with very good experience in software design. Though there are many ip hiding tools or software out there, not all of them are reliable, some are not easy to understand, maintain or use.

Start with the easy stuff.

There are many options you can use to change your IP address, that is, making it different from what it is right now. Maybe your IP got blocked from a forum after you trolled it. Maybe your download cap cut you off from a torrent site. Maybe you want to make two accounts on Pandora to get more music. This is the kind of IP change you need. It's as simple as restarting your computer. Give it some rest and your IP address will be automatically changed. You might want clear your browser history and cookies for good measure as well. If this doesn't seem to work, you can also contact your ISP and ask them how to change your IP address.

Change your IP address to surf blocked sites.

The best way of changing your IP is to "fake" it. It's a real IP address, so it's not really a "fake", but it's not your real IP. This can be done with a proxy or a virtual private network. Again, you've got to think about what you're using this for to get the right one. What kinds of sites will you be surfing? Are you getting out of a firewall, or breaking in? Both proxies and virtual private networks get around firewalls by using a third party server to reroute your traffic. Instead of smashing into a firewall, you go take a detour, and use a server that's allowed in/out of whatever firewall is causing your problems. This virtual IP address replaces your actual IP address and does not show your actual location.

Change your IP address to Bypass Internet Censorship

You're going to want a VPN. Depending on the country you're in, there may or may not be consequences to accessing blocked sites. Some of the more well known countries that have large amounts of VPN users due to censorship policies are Iran, China, Vietnam, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Russia, but that's by all mean not a complete list. Blocked sites may include Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Skype, Wikipedia, news blogs, and more.

With a VPN you don't only change your IP, you also take measures to make sure that no one can spy on your activity. Taking the idea of the third party server to reroute your traffic a bit further and using various methods of verification, encryption, and security codes, these are the ultimate form of online anonymity. If you're worried about your government watching you, a VPN is the best solution to change your IP address. If you're just annoyed that they won't let you watch porn, this works too.

Change your IP address for Gaming, Business, or communications

Again, I'd suggest a VPN. Their IP changing technology means you get a stronger, more reliable connection. For anything more than just browsing, a VPN is your best choice. It changes the IP address of your entire computer, including software you run. Everything you do with regards to the internet uses your anonymous IP address, and any data that passes through your computer/phone is encrypted and secured. Not only that, but you get to choose the location of your IP address (country, city), and have the option of having a static vs dynamic IP.

VPN's also get you access to Hulu, Netflix, Pandora, BBC iPlayer, and many other sites, no matter where you are in the world.

How to change your ip adress manually....
IP address
An Internet Protocol address (IP address) is a numerical label assigned to each device (e.g., computer, printer) participating in a computer network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication. An IP address serves two principal functions: host or network interface identification and location addressing. Its role has been characterized as follows: "A name indicates what we seek. An address indicates where it is. A route indicates how to get there."
The designers of the Internet Protocol defined an IP address as a 32-bit number and this system, known as Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4), is still in use today. However, due to the enormous growth of the Internet and the predicted depletion of available addresses, a new addressing system (IPv6), using 128 bits for the address, was developed in 1995, standardized as RFC 2460 in 1998, and is being deployed worldwide since the mid-2000s.
IP addresses are binary numbers, but they are usually stored in text files and displayed in human-readable notations, such as 172.16.254.1 (for IPv4), and 2001:db8:0:1234:0:567:8:1 (for IPv6).
The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) manages the IP address space allocations globally and delegates five regional Internet registries (RIRs) to allocate IP address blocks to local Internet registries (Internet service providers) and other entities

IP address assignment

Internet Protocol addresses are assigned to a host either anew at the time of booting, or permanently by fixed configuration of its hardware or software. Persistent configuration is also known as using a static IP address. In contrast, in situations when the computer's IP address is assigned newly each time, this is known as using a dynamic IP address.

Methods

Static IP addresses are manually assigned to a computer by an administrator. The exact procedure varies according to platform. This contrasts with dynamic IP addresses, which are assigned either by the computer interface or host software itself, as in Zeroconf, or assigned by a server using Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). Even though IP addresses assigned using DHCP may stay the same for long periods of time, they can generally change. In some cases, a network administrator may implement dynamically assigned static IP addresses. In this case, a DHCP server is used, but it is specifically configured to always assign the same IP address to a particular computer. This allows static IP addresses to be configured centrally, without having to specifically configure each computer on the network in a manual procedure.
In the absence or failure of static or stateful (DHCP) address configurations, an operating system may assign an IP address to a network interface using state-less auto-configuration methods, such as Zeroconf.

Uses of dynamic addressing

Dynamic IP addresses are most frequently assigned on LANs and broadband networks by Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) servers. They are used because it avoids the administrative burden of assigning specific static addresses to each device on a network. It also allows many devices to share limited address space on a network if only some of them will be online at a particular time. In most current desktop operating systems, dynamic IP configuration is enabled by default so that a user does not need to manually enter any settings to connect to a network with a DHCP server. DHCP is not the only technology used to assign dynamic IP addresses. Dialup and some broadband networks use dynamic address features of the Point-to-Point Protocol.

IP blocking and firewalls

Firewalls perform Internet Protocol blocking to protect networks from unauthorized access. They are common on today's Internet. They control access to networks based on the IP address of a client computer. Whether using a blacklist or a whitelist, the IP address that is blocked is the perceived IP address of the client, meaning that if the client is using a proxy server or network address translation, blocking one IP address may block many individual computers.

IP address translation

Multiple client devices can appear to share IP addresses: either because they are part of a shared hosting web server environment or because an IPv4 network address translator (NAT) or proxy server acts as an intermediary agent on behalf of its customers, in which case the real originating IP addresses might be hidden from the server receiving a request. A common practice is to have a NAT hide a large number of IP addresses in a private network. Only the "outside" interface(s) of the NAT need to have Internet-routable addresses.
Most commonly, the NAT device maps TCP or UDP port numbers on the outside to individual private addresses on the inside. Just as a telephone number may have site-specific extensions, the port numbers are site-specific extensions to an IP address.
In small home networks, NAT functions usually take place in a residential gateway device, typically one marketed as a "router". In this scenario, the computers connected to the router would have 'private' IP addresses and the router would have a 'public' address to communicate with the Internet. This type of router allows several computers to share one public IP address.

Diagnostic tools

Computer operating systems provide various diagnostic tools to examine their network interface and address configuration. Windows provides the command-line interface tools ipconfig and netsh and users of Unix-like systems can use ifconfig, netstat, route, lanstat, ifstat, or iproute2 utilities to accomplish the task.
Internet History.
The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to serve billions of users worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries an extensive range of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support email.
Most traditional communications media including telephone, music, film, and television are reshaped or redefined by the Internet, giving birth to new services such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV). Newspaper, book and other print publishing are adapting to Web site technology, or are reshaped into blogging and web feeds. The Internet has enabled or accelerated new forms of human interactions through instant messaging, Internet forums, and social networking. Online shopping has boomed both for major retail outlets and small artisans and traders. Business-to-business and financial services on the Internet affect supply chains across entire industries.

The origins of the Internet reach back to research of the 1960s, commissioned by the United States government in collaboration with private commercial interests to build robust, fault-tolerant, and distributed computer networks. The funding of a new U.S. backbone by the National Science Foundation in the 1980s, as well as private funding for other commercial backbones, led to worldwide participation in the development of new networking technologies, and the merger of many networks. The commercialization of what was by the 1990s an international network resulted in its popularization and incorporation into virtually every aspect of modern human life. As of 2011, more than 2.1 billion people — nearly a third of Earth's population — use the services of the Internet.
The Internet has no centralized governance in either technological implementation or policies for access and usage; each constituent network sets its own standards. Only the overreaching definitions of the two principal name spaces in the Internet, the Internet Protocol address space and the Domain Name System, are directed by a maintainer organization, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). The technical underpinning and standardization of the core protocols (IPv4 and IPv6) is an activity of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), a non-profit organization of loosely affiliated international participants that anyone may associate with by contributing technical expertise.

History

The history of the Internet began with the development of computers in the 1950s. This began with point-to-point communication between mainframe computers and terminals, expanded to point-to-point connections between computers and then early research into packet switching. Packet switched networks such as ARPANET, Mark I at NPL in the UK, CYCLADES, Merit Network, Tymnet, and Telenet, were developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s using a variety of protocols. The ARPANET in particular led to the development of protocols for internetworking, where multiple separate networks could be joined together into a network of networks.
In 1982 the Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) was standardized and the concept of a world-wide network of fully interconnected TCP/IP networks called the Internet was introduced. Access to the ARPANET was expanded in 1981 when the National Science Foundation (NSF) developed the Computer Science Network (CSNET) and again in 1986 when NSFNET provided access to supercomputer sites in the United States from research and education organizations. Commercial internet service providers (ISPs) began to emerge in the late 1980s and 1990s. The ARPANET was decommissioned in 1990. The Internet was commercialized in 1995 when NSFNET was decommissioned, removing the last restrictions on the use of the Internet to carry commercial traffic.
Since the mid-1990s the Internet has had a drastic impact on culture and commerce, including the rise of near-instant communication by electronic mail, instant messaging, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) "phone calls", two-way interactive video calls, and the World Wide Web with its discussion forums, blogs, social networking, and online shopping sites. The research and education community continues to develop and use advanced networks such as NSF's very high speed Backbone Network Service (vBNS), Internet2, and National LambdaRail. Increasing amounts of data are transmitted at higher and higher speeds over fiber optic networks operating at 1-Gbit/s, 10-Gbit/s, or more. The Internet continues to grow, driven by ever greater amounts of online information and knowledge, commerce, entertainment and social networking.
It is estimated that in 1993 the Internet carried only 1% of the information flowing through two-way telecommunication. By 2000 this figure had grown to 51%, and by 2007 more than 97% of all telecommunicated information was carried over the Internet
