These fun bracelets made from rubber bands are super easy to make and great looking too!

You’ll be able to crank out a bunch of these stretchy bangles in a few minutes…

An easy jewelry craft for the kids.

My girls like to stack these and wear several at once.

For this project you will need: needle nose pliers, colorful rubber bands (I bought mine at Office Depot for a few dollars a bag. Make sure your rubber bands fit loosely on the wrist – mine measured 3-inches when loose), jump rings (available in the jewelry supply section of craft stores, I used .24" gold), and small beads. Make sure the hole in your bead is large enough to fit onto your jump ring.

Using the needle nose pliers, open the jump ring by pulling the ends sideways. Slip bead onto ring, slip ring onto rubber band and close jump ring by pulling the ends back together. This is the best way to open and close a jump ring – if you pull it apart directly, you will distort the shape of the ring.

I slipped on a few jump rings without beads too.

Recently a friend told me about a fun little find called The Vintage Bazaar. Created by Katherine Raz and Libby Alexander, The Vintage Bazaar is a design blog that also hosts fantastic pop-up vintage markets in cool spaces all around the Chicago area. We checked out their most recent event at DANK Haus in Chicago and we were officially addicted right from the start. It was so good we went both days. Some fantastic vendors were there and the prices were extremely reasonable. Food, drinks and cool music all added to the ambiance and made everything seem so darn hip. If you live in the Chicago area, be sure to check out their next pop-up market in June – you won’t be disappointed!

Grab a sheet of aluminum foil and shape into a heart; the bigger the sheet, the bigger the heart.

You could also string these for hanging – but I love the way they look lying flat. They have something about them that makes my kids want to pick them up and hold them, so I leave them out on the table in our living room.

This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to the lucky winner, Dawn J.!

I was pretty excited when PSA Essentials contacted me and asked if I would review their self-inking stamps. I love self-inking custom stamps – they are great for business and personal correspondence, but they can be costly and if your information changes (i.e., you move or your company name changes) the stamp is no longer useful. However, the best thing about the PSA self-inkers is that the rubber stamps are peel and stick which means you can switch out your stamp design by just peeling off one and sticking on another. Not only are the stamps reusable, but the ink is changeable too. This makes for an extremely versatile stamping tool that all crafters should own.

I will use my custom address stamp for so many practical needs, but I’ve been experimenting with stamping on fabric lately and was thrilled to get a chance to try out a few tricks with my new monogram stamps from PSA Essentials. With a quick peel and a stick, I was able to convert my custom made address stamper into a monogram stamper that allowed me to create a some fun and easy projects. If you’re planning a wedding or baby shower or you just want to create a few personalized items for your home, these monogram stamps make it super easy and affordable to add personal details to almost anything. I made a set of napkin rings that I am really happy with…

An easy and different way to display photos using books...

Traditional frames and mats are great for displaying photos, but it’s always more fun to mix things up a bit. I love to tuck interesting photos and postcards into surprising places all around the house. Here I have created a photo cube out of books. Old paperbacks, purchased for $0.10 each at a library sale, are stripped of their covers and tied together to create a base for a photo display…

A recent family photo is clipped onto a bundle of books.

To make this I tore off the covers of 6 paperback books and bundled them together with twine.

To make this you will need: wire reinforced clothesline (available at home improvement & hardware stores), yarn & wire clippers. Clip off a length of clothesline and shape into the word, LOVE. Tie yarn onto beginning of word and wrap around wire.
