This makes the Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort a great choice as a family vacation resort because of the sheer space in the accommodation. In fact the villas can easily become anything from one to four bedroomed.Equally the privacy of the stylishly decorated villas makes it a great honeymoon resort too, and if not that a good choice for a romantic getaway, with the separate living and dining rooms plus full kitchen also increasing the options in the villas.

There are in fact five restaurants including Papa Don an Italian Trattoria for the pizza and pasta fiends, then Jammer’s Restaurant and Bar is a steakhouse and Grill Bar, and the Dragonfly serves Asian and West Indian food. You can have dinner prepared and served in your villa, make your own meals, or eat in the restaurants. The chefs at the Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort are rated amongst the top in the Caribbean, and they are one of the reasons this place is rated a top Caribbean Family resort, plus the fact that only one restaurant doesn’t allow under twelve year olds in for dinner.

One strongly suggested option is to take the all inclusive vacation package if you like to drink alcohol. There is little doubt that the Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort is a good quality luxury hotel and resort, with a high satisfaction ratio. What guests seem to like more than anything is the friendliness of the staff, the roominess of the villas, the plunge pools at the villas, the food, and the water sports.

All in all as a family vacation resort the Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort does well. It isn’t totally a luxury hotel and resort, but it has a pretty good try, and would be a good choice as a romantic honeymoon destination especially if you book one of the very private villas.

Wonderful Hidden Beach Resort – Au Naturel Club, Mexico

It depends on what you like to do.
Do you prefer a quiet beach or one with lots of activity? What about diving, snorkeling or surfing?
Do you want bring the whole family, and have everyone enjoy the day?
Come and find some of the best beaches in Florida.

Active Beaches

If you're high energy and like to rent "beach toys" like jetskis and kayaks, Florida has several beaches that would suit you just fine! Two of the more popular are Daytona Beach and Key West. As a bonus, these beaches are great for people-watching!

   Quiet Beaches in Florida

Although Florida has developed most of the coasts with condos, beach houses and resorts, there are still some quiet Florida beaches around.
There's a jewel in South Florida most people don't know about, called MacArthur Beach State Park. In the Panhandle there are lots of wide, sandy beaches on the barrier islands -- some of which see very few people.
The Spacecoast, too, as a treasure in the Canaveral National Seashore.

Beaches With Resorts

The answer is there are tons of such beaches! Some of the more popular include Panama City, Sanibel, Ft. Lauderdale and Daytona. There are all kinds of price ranges, although Sanibel and Ft. Lauderdale tend to cost more.

   Snorkeling and Diving Beaches

The Florida Keys has myriad beaches where you can snorkel and dive to your heart's content in the warm, clear tropical waters.
South Florida as well as some clear water and interesting reefs. Check out MacArthur Beach State Park for the worm reefs just off the beach.

What Else?
There are beaches in Florida where you can camp, bring your four-legged friend, surf and more. The best beaches in Florida are the ones that fit your vacationing style!

Wonderful Beach Vacations for Couples

If you are looking for romanitic beach vacation ideas, take a look at these awesome destinations around the world. Renowned as one of the world's most family-friendly vacation rental destinations, Hilton Head Island offers unlimited opportunities for great vacations and holiday memories. As an intimate getaway for two or the perfect backdrop for a family reunion, Hilton Head vacation rentals provide a home away from home to enjoy. Your Hilton Head Vacation starts with the perfect vacation rental.

You'll notice there's something special about Hilton Head Island the moment you arrive. The island was planned and developed to highlight the island's natural beaches, marshes and forests. Early development of Sea Pines was inspired by Charles Fraser. His vision to "lie lightly on the land" and to blend with the environment is still followed and enjoyed today. Buildings are set back from the main roads, showcasing the native pines and oaks. Colors are not flamboyant and bright; instead they are subdued and blend with the natural environment.

Hilton Head Island Information
Hilton Head Island is separated into several resort areas and plantations. Plantations simply means a planned community or gated community.

Mentawai Oh Mentawai......
Mentawai Tsunami, The quake in Mentawai occurred Monday, October 25 at 21:40 pm. BMKB lifted a tsunami warning an hour later. The day after, in the afternoon has been just caught that tere was a tsunami as high as 3-7 meters in Mentawai Island. Delay in this information because BMKG does not have monitoring equipment around Mentawai, the only in Padang. At least 313 people were killed by Mentawai tsunami.

Tsunami Mentawai – Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics judged too hastily lifted the tsunami warning potential after 7.2 magnitude quake in Mentawai Island, West Sumatra (Sumatra), so that the victims fell. In the eyes of terrestrial experts, what BMKG did at that time was correct.

“It was not repealed, but it was finished. BMKG correctly announced it, but it takes time to find where its position. While with such time, waves were road,” said Deputy of Earth Sciences Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), Heri Harjono in his office, Jl Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta, Thursday (28/10/2010).

Residents who near the beach felt the big earthquake, continued Heri, should not have to wait for the announcement from BMKG. In the event of strong earthquakes, they must immediately run to anticipate the event of a tsunami.

“So do not rely on the system only. People should have awareness. Except that the earthquake was far away,” he said.

In other words, added Heri, earthquake be an early warning for the residents to immediately save themselves. Because, BMKG take up to 4 minutes for launch of earthquake as well as a tsunami warning in certain locations. Meanwhile, the tsunami wave has been moving to shore.

“So my personal opinion, BMKG is right. Pity, that BMKG’ve worked but people judge them. I hope that once again there is a warning, people immediately go, because our ares were also near the coast,” he said.

Mentawai Islands is the Premier Surfing Destination Paradise in Indonesia

Mentawai Islands in Indonesia is the premier surfing paradise destination in Asia. Here are 5 of the best nude beaches this year:

1. Haulover Beach, Florida

Established in 1991, the entire North side of the beach has a “clothing optional” policy. The beach is extremely popular not just for the nudity, but for the facilities one can find here, as well. Showers, barbeque grills, food & drink stalls, lifeguards, volleyball and surfing games – all these helped Haulover Beach to become one of the most attractive in Florida.

2. Maslin Beach, South Australia

Australia’s first official beach, Maslin Beach is known worldwide for the “Maslin Beach Olympics” – a series of nude and informal sport competitions held around Australia’s Day, in January. Although the cliff-lined beach has more than 3 kilometers, just the southern half is opened to nudists. Black’s Beach, San Diego, California

It’s one of the nation’s iconic nude beaches and it lies at the base of the cliffs near the University of California. Black’s Beach is not exclusively nude, since you can see all kinds of tourists here. The cliffs make it one of the most picturesque nude beaches in the world, but also one with the most difficult to access – you can only get here through the northern or the southern side. The powerful currents and high tides make the beach a lovely place for surfing, as well.

4. Of course, it's not just the boardwalk that attracts throngs of visitors, but the exciting Virginia Beach boardwalk attractions that draw in inquiring tourists. Teamed with the huge variety of Virginia Beach hotels, condos, beach resorts and villas, an incredible choice in shopping, fantastic dining, and great nightlife, Virginia beach has all fundamentals necessary for creating endless vacation itineraries. Across the bay from Newport News and southeast of Norfolk, Virginia Beach enjoys a prestigious location precisely on the shores of the Atlantic and near Chesapeake Bay.

Originally built in 1888, the history of the boardwalk in Virginia Beach runs deep. In modern times it has received national acclaim from several prestigious publications, often referred to as "America's favorite boardwalk." In a multitude of forms, this bustling artery has seen some of the most interesting times in history. The enduring landmark was constructed in the post-Civil War era Gilded Age, a time when the population snowballed and wealth was reinforced in the upper class. Today the abiding wood-planked walkway still receives the largest number of visitors in Virginia seeking out the best of the Virginia Beach boardwalk attractions and exhilarating atmosphere.
To explore all the Virginia Beach boardwalk attractions in depth, at minimum a few days are needed. With the majority of seaside attractions arranged along the three-mile boardwalk in Virginia Beach, visitors can enjoy the vehicle-free area and opt to bike or walk the wooden stretch. The distinct cycling paths make a bike ride along the Virginia Beach boardwalk a great and earth-friendly way to explore. The three-mile-long, twenty-eight-foot-wide boardwalk is home to the Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum, housed in the oldest beach cottage on the oceanfront of Virginia Beach. The Virginia Legends Walk offers a look at some of the most celebrated Virginians of all time including Edgar Allen Poe, Robert E. Lee, and Ella Fitzgerald. From April through October, visitors can take a walk out to the Virginia Beach boardwalk fishing pier for a look or to enjoy some fishing.
The Amusement Park is another must-see for many exploring the boardwalk in Virginia Beach. The screams and screeches of roller coaster riders along with the hum of happy voices makes this one of the best spots on the thoroughfare. The Naval Aviation Monument at 25th Street is one of the most photographed and admired monuments in the area. It is dedicated to the Coast Guard and Marine Corps aviation beginning in the 1900s through to today. Some of the other famous Virginia Beach boardwalk attractions include The Norwegian Lady Statue, adjacent to the aviation monument, and the commanding, 24-foot King Neptune Statue made entirely of bronze is arguably the best photo-op on the boardwalk.
During the summer months one of the leading stops along the Virginia Beach boardwalk is Beach Street USA. This vibrant, high-energy area comprises four waterfront stages offering a wide variety of family-friendly theater performances and live music. Kicking off in mid-June and continuing until Labor Day, fireworks, festivals, and entertainment complete Virginia vacations and offer a good look into one of the most unique and exciting communities in the state. Pair all that excitement with excellent shopping, an enormous choice in dining and fantastic nightlife and you've got a match made in vacation heaven.

Sandbridge Beach, ideal family vacation

Sandbridge Beach Vacation

Sandbridge Beach Virginia, located in Virginia Beach, is the ideal family vacation spot for visitors interested in sand, sun and water based fun. It is also known as Purnululu national park.
The name Purnululu is coming from sandstone areas of the Bungle Bungle range by the Kija aboriginial people. It means sandstone. The range is almost 578 metres high from sea level. It is popular for the sandstone domes, unusual and visually striking with their striping in alternating orange and grey bands. The banding of the domes occurs due to differences in clay content and also for porosity of the sandstone layers.
Punululu was discovered by modern people at mid 1980s, although aboroginial peoples live for generations there. It was announced as a national park at 1987. Geologists say that, during the Devonian Era, almost 350 million years ago, a great marine deposit was formed here. It eroded away by the hundreds of millions of wet seasons to the present structure of domes, cliffs and gorges. Rather fragile, the orange bands on the rocks are of silica. But the black bands are covered with fungus, overlaying the white sandstone core. There are some unique plants grow here, like a species of Livingstonia palm.
If you want to experience the Bungle Bungles properly you have to walk and you will get four wheel drives. You can enjoy the beauties of boab or baobabs, the weird bottle trees which are found typically in this area and of southern Africa and Madagascar. A long walk through this beautiful landscape with its sandstone domes is amazing. There are breathtaking paths like Cathedral Gorge and Piccaninny Gorge over all you have to walk for almost 30 kms to enjoy all the beauties of Bungle Bungle. Echidna Chasm is one of the most mysterious places of Australia. If you want to enjoy you should walk.

Rainbow Beach: Another impressive travel destination in Australia

Another impressive travel destination in Australia, is Rainbow beach. The name of the town is obtained from the rainbow-coloured sand dunes surrounding the settlement. But there is a myth believed by Kabi people, dunes were coloured when Yiningie, a spirit represented by a rainbow, plunged into the cliffs after doing battle with an evil tribesman.

Rainbow Beach is a coastal town in south-eastern Queensland. By road, Rainbow Beach is located 75 km from the Bruce Highway town of Gympie, and 239 km from the Queensland state capital, Brisbane.

Much of the sand of this beach colors stem from the rich content of minerals in the sand, including rutile, ilmenite, zircon and monazite. A black dune of ilmenite sands, overgrown by dune vegetation can be found north west of the main town and offers a secret place of beauty for the nature enthusiast. This is currently being removed for sale in China with complete removal expected to take two years.

The beach is long with its open sea. You might like to sample wines in one of the local award-winning wineries. The choices seem endless.
In the Gold Coast hinterland there are various scenic attractions and guesthouses that have lead to the development of a vibrant tourism industry, providing a major attraction for visitors to the Gold Coast and people living in the region. Visitor surveys to the hinterland's parks and forests indicate the area is one of Queensland's most significant tourist destinations.Wine-tasting, bird-feeding, eco-tourism and bushwalking are some of the pastimes that attract visitors to the hinterland. Other attractions in the area include O'Reilly's Guesthouse, the Natural Bridge and Binna Burra. In March 2008, the Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk connecting the Lamington and Springbrook plateaus was opened. The moderately difficult walking trail provides 54 km of uninterrupted track and takes three days to walk from start to finish
Simply, the hinterland is Australia's largest area of sub-tropical rainforest with species found nowhere else in what is the world's biggest volcanic caldera.

Daintry rainforest: explore the most complex ecosystem on earth

The Daintree Rainforest is a tropical rainforest near Daintree, Queensland. It is on the coast north of Cairns in tropical far north of Australia. It’s total area almost 1200 square kilometers from the Daintree River north to Cooktown and west to the Great Divide, representing the single largest block of tropical rainforest in Australia.
The Daintree is the largest continuous area of rainforest on the Australian mainland. It was named by Richard Daintree. Daintree National Park protects a major part of the forest. The Daintree Rainforest contains 30% of frog, marsupial and reptile species in Australia, and 65% of Australia's bat and butterfly species. 20% of bird species in the country can be found in this area. All of this diversity is contained within an area that takes up 0.2% of the landmass of Australia.
Daintry rainforest’s ecosystem known as the most complex ecosystem of the world. Its plant diversity and structural complexity is unrivalled on the Australian continent and represents the origins of our more familiar 'Australian' flora.
The Daintree Rainforest's addition to the World Heritage List in 1988 in recognition of its universal natural values highlighted the rainforest.
The Daintree is an outstanding example of the major stages in the earth's evolutionary history, an example of significant ongoing ecological and biological processes, and an example of superlative natural phenomena. It contains important and significant habitats for conservation of biological diversity. The Daintree Rainforest is over one hundred and thirty-five million years old – the oldest in the world.
Besides all the scientific interest within this Daintree region there are many natural and often unique features to be explored. The landscape is one of striking diversity including magnificent scenery, mountain ranges, fast flowing streams and waterfalls, deep gorges and dense rainforest.
blog directory

Whitsunday Islands: beauties everywhere

The Whitsunday islands are associates with several continental islands of various sizes.
