Summer Cinema Clubhouse The Colony

Tin Can Planting for Kids!

Reusing items helps reduce the amount of waste in our landfills, and tin cans make nifty plant containers. Accompanied by a parent or adult guardian, children can pot a tomato seed and learn more about the edible tomato plant. Children are encouraged to bring their own empty, clean tin can. Join us at the garden center for this easy, fun and educational gardening event.

Bowl Bouquets: Made by Little Hands & Lots of Love! 

Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. 

We’re serving up deep-dish sized fun! Parents and guardians – bring your little gardeners into the nursery so they may participate in creating a beautiful bowl bouquet. Bowls and grass seeds will be provided for the base, and then children can create their own craft flowers to decorate the bowl and accent the grass!

All children are welcomed to the Callie’s Kids events; however, children between the ages of 5 and 10 will probably get the most benefit from the activities.

All events are free of charge, while supplies last. Attend this kid’s event at any Calloway’s Nursery (Dallas and Fort Worth) or Cornelius Nursery(Houston) garden center location.
