My Thoughts

I am borderline obsessed with liquid lipsticks these days. Masarrat Misbah Makeup Liquid Lipstick is hands down my top favorite. The product itself comes in a pretty standard lip gloss packaging, plastic see through tube with black tops, enclosed in a black cardboard box. The doe foot applicator is also pretty standard, makes the process of application easy peasy, no issues there.

'Dolce Vita' is a gorgeous 90's deep brown shade with mauve undertones. But I find this shade a bit tricky! The thing is that it may appear a little lighter shade in the tube, but it tends to look darker once applied on the lips and the shade deepens with time. The liquid lipstick is extremely pigmented and dries totally matte. I feel like the best way to wear liquid lipstick is to apply tiny amount and spread it all over the lips so it doesn't feel too heavy and uncomfortable on the lips. Drying time isn't too quick so gives you a lot of playtime. A single layer is enough to give you fully opaque coverage and what's even better is that it lasts incredibly long even with the single layer. The wear time is good 8-10 hours with eating and drinking. In fact, it was actually harder to take it off once it's on. I find it pretty difficult to remove on its own and I have to use extra virgin olive oil to remove it completely.

All in all, I do enjoy wearing 'Dolce Vita' because the shade is really intense and lasts long too. Those of you who are into 90's brown shades will appreciate this one. If you are matte lip lover and don't mind the dry feeling that comes with matte long lasting liquid lipsticks then this liquid lipstick is something you'd enjoy! I'm looking forward to try out more shades from Masarrat Misbah Makeup's Liquid Lipstick collection and I have my eyes on the shade 'Fuchsia Rouge' and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

My Thoughts
Well, I have to say I quite like this cream. To be honest, when I opened the tub for the first time it appeared bit heavy but when I dipped my fingers in it, the texture feels so light and the cream sinks into my skin in no time upon application. The chief ingredient is Glycerin, which is a humectant and is extremely beneficial for skin. It draws moisture to the skin from the atmosphere and adds needed hydration to the skin cells.

It also contains Dimethicone which is a type of silicone that is added to the skincare products to be applied in smooth finish to the skin. It makes the surface of skin smoother and helps the skin to prevent moisture loss.

I personally enjoy using it the most on my hands and cracked heels. It makes my hands feel soft and smooth throughout the day. And it does wonders for my cracked heels. The formula is just intense enough to tackle flakiness and dryness of my feet with ease. Speaking of the scent, it's so mild and is quite refreshing. There is nothing fancy about the packaging, it is sturdy and great to carry around in hand bag.

If you're looking for a serious moisturizing cream to soothe rough, dry and scaly skin, Elmore Glycerin cream is ideal. It provides lasting hydration to the skin without being too heavy. A must-have product for winters!

My Thoughts

Shade 349 Salmon is a nude rosy pink - more like a my-lips-but-better kinda color. I do believe it would suit most complexions. It's an extremely wearable shade and I love it so much that it has become a staple product in my everyday makeup routine. It feels creamy, moisturizing and comfortable to begin with. It also has a soft shine to it which makes my lips seem splendidly hydrated. The pigmentation is so amazing - something that I love about it is in just a single swipe it gives fully opaque coverage.

In terms of longevity, this lipstick lasts long which is nice if you ask me. I get about five hours of wear time or may be more if I do not eat or drink. One thing I noticed that it has a very mild scent and I am not sure if the whole shade range smells the same.

On the downside, the packaging is horrible! It has a tendency to break so is not travel friendly. Considering the low price, I have found this lipstick quite amazing except the shoddy packaging.

My Thoughts

Let me begin with the Elmore Gentle Cleansing Milk first. I think it's an amazing product! It is perfect for basic cleansing needs and most of all it doesn’t strip your skin of moisture. One thing I love about this is that it did not irritate or break out my skin. My skin truly feels squeaky clean, smooth and hydrated every time I use it. I have to say, it does a good job at cleaning and leaves behind a smooth luminous glow on my skin.

I suffer from dry skin on my hands and feet in winters and so I have to moisturize regularly to keep it soft and smooth all the time. For me, Elmore Glycerin Body Lotion is one of those products which can be used all through the year. It has light consistency and absorbs into the skin within seconds without leaving behind any greasiness. It moisturizes very well and makes my skin soft and smooth. I love that it is formulated with mainly natural ingredients and in return I feel safer using it on my skin.

In terms of packaging, both are great! No complains at all. Overall, I am truly in love with them! I am definitely going to repurchase once I run out.

I do love new and multitasking products, so I was really pleased and excited when the newly launched Garnier Pure Active 3-in-1 Charcoal landed on my place last month. Having tried this product for over a month (once a week), it's time I share my experience.

PROVEN EFFECTIVENESS:

My Thoughts
Garnier Pure Active 3 in 1 is formulated with Charcoal and Salicylic Acid for combination to oily skin with stubborn blackheads. Charcoal when combined with a pore-unclogging ingredient like Salicylic Acid can helps deep clean pores and free them from excess sebum, dead skin cells and oil. The 3-in-1 Charcoal Anti-blackhead can be used as a face wash, a scrub or as a mask. It’s hard to use separately as a face wash without using as a scrub too because of the exfoliating beads.

The first thing to notice is a very strong scent and along with that it gives a slight tingly sensation which is very soothing. I used it as a mask on my T-zone for 10-15 minutes and then gently rinsed it off using circular motions on my whole face to activate the scrub and remove dead skin cells.

This mask left my skin feeling so soft, smooth & clear without being dried out or irritated after every wash. But since it has been too cold and weather is so dry here in Karachi (Pakistan), I prefer to moisturize my skin afterwards to keep it hydrated. Since Salicylic Acid takes time, it requires more patience in order to make the product work for you and I am convinced that frequent use of this will not only help my skin be less greasy but also help to reduce blackheads that I get.

By and large, I have to say this product delivers what it claims.

My Thoughts

Medora Matte Lipstick comes in a grey round tube with golden rim in the middle and the first thing that you notice after opening the tube is the strong makeup-y scent.

I've got three shades: Iced Coffee '547' which is a brown toned nude shade with micro golden sheen that doesn't show up on lips. It’s the kind of nude that will flatter most Pakistani skin tones. Antique Pink '233' is a cool-toned pink. It’s a lovely wearable color but might look off on warm yellow skin. Saffron '213' is a bright orange perfect for summery days.

I find these lipsticks super pigmented with great color payoff. The lipstick doesn’t appear dead matte on me. These go on smooth due to creamy texture but after a while, it dries out my lips so bad. So to prevent dryness I would suggest to exfoliate your lips prior application and to wear a lip balm beneath.

As far as staying power is concerned, they last longer and fade evenly after 6-7 hours which is quite amazing. Overall, I like these! These lipsticks are actually quite remarkable for the price and shade range. There's one for everyone.

My Thoughts

When it comes to brushes, I’m very hygiene-conscious. It just feels so icky to use dirty brushes on my face which is the reason why cleaning them has always been a top priority of mine, even when travelling.

Practk Palmat^® is made of high-grade silicone which seems quite durable to me. You can either wear it on the palm of your hand or suction to sink for hands-free cleaning. I found Practk Palmat^® really handy and travel friendly because of its small size. It fits nicely into any makeup pouch. I do believe it slashes cleaning time for me to some extent. Also, it keeps my hands from getting dried out which is a plus.

As you can see, it has got separate textures for face and eye brushes. Talking about the face side, the knobs on the WASH portion are large and round that assist in creating lather better, that too in a jiffy! But I’m particularly impressed with the REFINE texture, it grasp the bristles so much better; it also resists swirling which I think helps to pull out the grime rather easily. I go on the WASH and REFINE textures back and forth for thorough cleaning.

Overall, I’m super impressed by this product. It deep cleanses my makeup brushes in no time. So, if you want to take your makeup brush cleaning to the next level, Go and get this amazing tool and Thanks me later!

My Thoughts

The cute packaging got me so excited to try out this product. It says it’s suitable for all skin types – I sort of disagree with that. I have a combination skin type with an oily T-zone and dry patches. When I put it on, it goes on silky and tiny granules melts into my skin in no time however it feels a bit heavy for my skin probably because it contains mineral oil. I love the sweet smell it has. It gives cooling sensation to the skin which is quite relaxing. Soon after rinsing, my skin feels soft and smooth. It keeps the dry area on my face hydrated and moisturized but it broke me so badly that I quit using it.

So, if you have a dry skin type, you might love it for its hydrating and moisturizing properties. Otherwise a so-so product for combination skin type.

My Thoughts
Let me start with the packaging first. The little container carries mask in the powder form with a small spatula to mix the ingredients. The instructions on the container are written in the Korean language so you have to get the most of the instructions and information from the Skin18 website directly. The product inside is for one time use only and is easy to made. You have to add two caps filled with water and form a rich paste by stirring.

Propolis is thought to have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and is fantastic for maintaining skin structure. Propolis contains polyphenol compounds called flavonoids that are natural antioxidants and enables the skin to remain healthy and beautiful.

After prepping my skin, I applied the paste on my face which was quite tricky and messy because the paste had started to harden into gelatinous consistency while application. Initially, I applied the mask with the brush but then realized it's best to use fingers for application. You need to be very quick in application otherwise the mask starts to thicken and becomes difficult to apply. The scent of this mask is not pleasant. After 20 minutes, I peeled off the mask. It came out easily, not as a whole mask but into small pieces leaving some residue on my face. So I rinsed off my face to remove the traces of the mask. My skin felt soothe and hydrated. I was hoping that it would give some brightening effect to my face but I am a bit let down.

Overall, I am happy to have came across such a product as I really love the idea of modeling mask but I am a little disappointed in application which needs much more practice and patience.

My Thoughts
I have had a great shopping experience earlier from Zaful. This website has become one of my favorite place to shop for handbags, jewelry, sunglasses and clothing at super amazing prices.

While browsing the website for my second order, I came across this Faux Turquoise Triangle Cuff Bracelet in their jewelry section and got attracted by this stunning piece. Since I was left only less than three dollars in my coupon, I added this in my cart without giving any further thought. I was a bit skeptical about the quality and the size (the cuff is adjustable but I wanted it to be not too big or too small for my wrist as many of the jewelry pieces loses its shape if the quality of the material is not good).

To my experience, it turned out way more beautiful and gorgeous. The quality is pretty good and fits me just right. Even I don't need to expand it. The cuff is made of light weighed metal alloy having a marble piece fixed on triangular shaped metal around both edges. The marble is fixed nicely with a hard glue so there is no fear of falling. I really adore this marble effect on jewelry pieces which makes it more elegant and classy. Structured jewelry items are all the rage this fall season. So, this triangular cuff goes absolutely with any outfit! It comes in two different colors to choose from, but I adore this white and pale gold one. Super Classy!

I didn't notice the rusting of the gold polish however, I suspect the change of color because I have worn it a lot. To prevent that, I have put a thin layer of clear nail polish on it just to delay the process.

First of all, I'm so sorry for the lack of posts. Last two weeks have been pretty hectic for me due to semester mid-term exams. The studies were consuming a lot of my time but still I managed to stay active on my social media accounts. Today, I am here with a little talk about the products that I've been loving so far last month. Let's jump right in!

1. Essence Gel Eye Pencil Waterproof - Black Blaze
Black Blaze!!! I really like the name. NO, it will not burn your eyes but it'll lit a fire of love in someone's heart when you apply it on your eyes. :P The formula is not as smooth as a gel liner has to be but I really love the intense color pay off it gives without smudging.

2. Makeup Revolution Powder Blush - Treat
A decent dusky coral shade! In love with the awesome color and texture of this blush. The blush carries fine gold sparkles but to my utter amazement they won't show up on my cheeks!

3. Color Studio Professional Invincible All Day Water Proof & Heat Proof Powder - Silk Beige
A life saver product for every day use!! Gives minimal coverage and keeps my face shine free, if not truly matte, throughout day!

4. Colourpop Eyeshadow - Get Lucky
Have you ever tried this shade? If not, then go for it. It's absolutely awesome and perfect champagne gold color. I love its buttery smooooth texture which unbeliveable. Best for festive day makeup!

5. MakeUp Academy Lipstick in Shade 14 - Bare
Not a perfect nude but really close to it! I love to apply this every day with MakeUp Academy Intense Kisses Lip Glosses 'Sealed with a Kiss'.

Today, I'm here with a super easy and fun nail art tutorial which I prepared for Eid with all my heart but unfortunately I lost some of the step by step tutorial pictures from my camera because it went dead. So I took them again from another camera but the result is not as good as the one I took first. Steps To Follow:

First apply the base coat. I have applied Oriflame Pure Color Nail Polish Sheer Cream as a base coat.
Paint red nail polish. I have used Oriflame Pure Color Nail Polish Red Classic.
Put the nail tapes horizontally. For neat application, use scotch tape to cover the sides of nail tapes.
Now put a black nail polish horizontally.
Gently peel a 3D nail art sticker from foil and paste it on your nail. Finish it off with a clear topcoat.

My Thoughts

While browsing the Zaful website, I came across their accessories section and found this Golden Frame Pilot Sunglasses in Rose Gold. Without giving a second thought, I added this in my order and I'm pretty much pleased with my order.

I think this Rose Gold Sunglasses is simply stunning! It's super cool yet trendy and perfect for summers. The quality of the sunglasses is very good. The size is just right for me. I love the shine of the metal gold rim that gives it a super classy look. Zaful has a great variety of super classy sunglasses and the great thing is that they are super affordable. I'd like to get more from them.

All in all, a big thumbs up from my side!

My Thoughts
I recently had the opportunity to shop from Zaful and got myself a Pendant Solid Color PU Leather Tote Bag and a Rose Gold Aviator (Review coming soon). I must say I was super impressed by their super fast shipping. I got my parcel within 10 days of ordering. Pretty amazing!! The package came nicely packed & sealed and both products were wrapped in more than one wrappers. The sunglasses were enclosed in thick bubbled casing so their were no chances of any damage and I got them unbroken. Yaay!!

Okay Today, I will review the pendant Tote bag. This leather off white tote bag is a beauty I believe. I am super in love with this bag. I've received many compliments from my family and friends on it. The bag is made of faux leather with a beautiful matte finish giving it an additional oomph! In my opinion, the overall quality of the bag is good and the size is right but the only thing that could get better here is the black lining at the top edges I believe. I feel that if it were done with more finishing, it would've been perfect. Anyway, the overall finish of the stitching is good.

The bag also comes with a solid shoulder strap that can be adjusted for length. The strap is removable which allows you to carry it using the handle. What I love about it is the roomy interior; it can accommodate lots and lots of stuffs! There are two compartments which are full length deep with one back-wall zip pocket plus two slip pockets for putting small things in and the middle one is a small pouch. It can fit all my day to day essentials very comfortably and still there's a lot of room left. The tassel with glimmering golden details giving it an elegant touch. All in all, it's one good-looking bag.

My Thoughts
First start with the packaging, i got sample sachet which has a foil based coating. The package coating is kinda luxurious to me. The sachets are pretty small, fit almost in palm and the product in it can be used for two times only. They also comes in a full size squeezing tube but sachet makes it easy to be used during travelling.

Water Light Face Scrub appears to be a water based white paste with no visible scrubbing granules. Yes, I was expecting some gritty granules in it but it turned out totally opposite so I followed the instructions given on the backside of the sachet with hope that I might feel them on my face while massaging. I spread the paste on my already cleansed face in a gentle massaging manner for 20-30 seconds but there was no rough feeling of the granules then I rinsed it off with lukewarm water. The results? Well, I have noticed that my skin feels super soft and smooth after using this. What really amazes me is that it gives a nice subtle glow to my face and my skin looks incredibly polished. I believe it's because of facial carbon particles in it which clearly remove the dirt in pores and exfoliate dead skin cells to improve the skin texture.

I follow by using the Water Drop Moisture Cream on my face which by the way isn't scent free. It has the mild pleasant fragrance and looks like a petroleum jelly but is so light and doesn't give a greasy feeling on the skin. The cream forms water droplets on the skin as soon as applied which is readily absorb by the skin. I love the ample moisturizing effect on my skin by water drop formation. Overall, I quite like this cream.

JJ - Cream Diamond Whitening One Second doesn't have thick consistency and takes a couple of minutes to sink into the skin but it doesn't absorb completely. I can see it gives a visible glow to my face. I do think it leaves your face feeling greasy if you apply too much of it. All in all, this product seems to be great for dry skin and will work wonder during winters.

My Thoughts
Let's talk about the packaging first. The package includes an acrylic container with lid containing twelve small pots with golden screw cap, a base or primer, a dual end sponge applicator and an eye-shadow brush. The cap locks firmly so the packaging is travel friendly. The container includes an array of glitter and shimmer shades, with eight of them in aqua blue, silver, purple, golden, dusty rosy pink, dark red, black and green are fine glitters and four pots contain loose eye shadow pigments in blood red, white, bronze gold and golden yellow shade. All of the shades are vibrant and beautiful.

Now coming to the quality of these glitters and loose pigments. The glitters are of fine gritty texture and adheres well on the lid with the wax like base or primer provided with it. But I would like to suggest you to use a good glitter primer to apply the glitters because the base provided with it is not sticky enough to hold the glitter for a long time. The pigmentation and texture of loose pigments is very very impressive. I was totally amazed how buttery smooth they felt while I was making swatches for my blog. I made the swatches without any primer underneath so you can appreciate how well-pigmented they actually are. Just two swipes are enough for all shades to get an impressive color pay off. Of course, they would look a lot more intensified with a primer beneath.

The glitters are supposed to be a bit difficult to get hold off. They could spill under your eyes and look nasty. But I think any glitter and loose pigment can get messy if you're not careful.

Overall, I pretty much like this package. For the price it is unbelievably good. They are surely the best shimmers I've used so far. The only bad thing I experienced is the fall out part but I think I will learn to control that with time.

My Thoughts
I was sent two different packages by the lovely people at Skin18.com in the last two months. The packages carried different varieties of Sheet Masks, Wash off Masks, Nose Strips, Eye Patch, Scrub and Creams. I have reviewed their Four Season Sheet Masks (here) earlier before and I'm really impressed with them. Getting different variants of nose strips in my care package got me so excited because I hadn't used a nose strip before. I let my sister to try two of these strips and she really enjoys using them. Of course I gave others a shot myself to see the results.

I used Luke Charcoal Nose Cleansing Strip - US $ 0.65 first. Charcoal is an ideal ingredient that works like a magnet to draw the dirt out of your pores, making them less visible. The nose cleansing strip comes in a sachet stuck on a transparent plastic liner. After peeling off, I applied the strip on wet nose; pressed it, added a little more water on the top and pressed it down again to ensure its good contact with the skin. The size of the strip is good and covers the major part of the nose however, I cannot stand the strong medicinal scent - it smells awful to me! After 15-20 minutes, the strip felt stiff. So it was the right time to peel it off and to see the results. Now I don't have a major blackhead issue only few whiteheads which this strip manage to pick out. As you can see in the picture, it also pull out dirt and grim from pores.

My sister tried Luke Mugwort Nose Strip - US $ 0.65 and Luke Lemon Tea Tree Nose Cleansing Strip - US $ 0.65. She has super oily nose with deep blackheads. According to her, they only pick out few blackheads and whiteheads. She saw visible reduction in pore size which I think can only be due Hamamelis ( a pore tightening agent) in it. Both strips smells quite similar to the charcoal one.

Luke Hydrogel Eye Patch for Eye Puffiness - US $ 1.40 claims to reduce eye puffiness and tightening of under eye skin. I kept it to myself and used it yesterday. The patch was stuck on the plastic liner dipped in serum which had a soothing fragrance. After keeping it for 15 minutes on skin under my eyes, I was quite surprised with the results. It not only moisturized and refreshed my under eye region also it reduced my eye puffiness which i had because of tiredness due to my final exams. The ingredients in it are quite promising. Extracts of Mugwort and Green Tree, Hydrogel and Vitamin A, C & E provide extra nourishment and moisturizing effect to under eye region.

Overall, I think nose strips are super fun to use and gave quite similar results. These strips might not work well for blackheads in a single use, Though they are great to get rid of oil, dirt and whiteheads. The better results can be seen with continuous use. Hydrogel Eye Patch is great, gives relaxation to the eyes and reduces its puffiness.

My Thoughts
The eyeliner stencils comes in a cardboard packaging and includes 6 different stencil pieces for creating different liner looks. The packaging is quite compact and I love it. You can keep each stencil at its particular place so no fear of losing them. It also comes with a manual guide carrying some tips and tricks to use.

The stencils are made on soft plastic sheet with smooth edges and all the cuts are truly precise. They fit just right on my eyes. So I have not faced any size issue yet. But if your eyes are too big or too small or just don’t fit the stencils, you could still use them as a general guide on where to place the color rather than to accomplish the whole look perfectly.

Using eyeliner stencil is quite simple. Just place the stencils on top of the eye slightly above the lash line and adjust according to the eye shape/size. This could be quite tricky and all you need a little practice and patience. It will took a little time to get perfect adjustment. Then fill in the space by jel-liner using an old sponge or you can fill in black eye-shadow with a brush (which ever you prefer). Make sure not to go outside the area of the stencil. Remove the stencil. Use jel liner and layer it on the top of the eyeliner pattern drawn with the help of stencil to make it look intense. You can also use kohl pencil if you like matte flicks. You can shape the eyeliner and neat its edges according to your liking. Clean the stencil and start using it on the second eye. These stencils are super easy to clean with a cotton ball dipped in water or eye makeup remover. Cleaning it well is very important as you don’t want something that unclean anywhere near your eyes.

I have created some eye looks using these stencils and this was my first attempt. These stencils have proved to be a life saver for me. It gives a basic frame of the eyeliner to me and while tracing the shape. I think I can do more better with little more practice and could be more creative by changing the shape and size according to my liking.

Overall, these eyeliner stencils can be used to learn different techniques of eyeliner application. It saves a lot of time and gives professional results and Once, you mastered it (and that’s quick to do with the help of the stencils), you can just stop using the stencils altogether as they won’t be necessary anymore.

My Thoughts
Bellezza is a home-based online store that sells handmade jewelry and other accessories. Their aim is to provide their customers pretty handmade products at affordable prices. I have been sent some handmade jewelry pieces ( bangles, bracelets and earrings), a mobile cover and a cute white coin pouch. In my opinion, each jewelry piece I got is very beautiful, bright and dazzling. They are comfortable to wear and made with impressive delicacy. I hand picked some of the products and I'm glad they fit me just right.

My top favorites are the golden colored earrings and the double colored bangles (ones at the top). I also adore both the beaded bracelets. So pretty and neatly made. Those colorful pom pom bangles are so bright and beautiful. My mobile phone fits very well in brown colored mobile pouch with apple applique and other embellishments. And oh, the small white colored pouch is super cute and can be used to keep coins and small jewelry pieces.

Overall, I am very pleased with my pieces and I would recommend this store if you would like to get your hands on some pretty and colorful ethnic jewelry while staying in budget.
