The Fandom People Awards is an experiment.

We wanted the fandom to have a chance to say thank you and show love to the people who rarely get acknowledged. To do that, we have categories that cover the following areas:

• The Authors, The Readers, The Betas,
• The Fandom, The Specials, The Twi-Sites,
• The Artists, The Banners & Blinkies, and The Fan Vids.

We wanted to change up the way awards tend to honor based on name recognition. That thought was a huge factor in determining how we are displaying the results. We designed this site to celebrate the people and sites of the Twific Fandom, not just the most recognizable of its members.

We hope you’ll take a look around at the various categories. You’ll notice we used the nominations you sent in to distinguish the All Stars, Honorable Mentions, and general shout outs for each category. Voting categories also indicate who received the most votes.
Thank you to the talented artists who made it a team effort, each taking a category and creating the banners and buttons that adorn this site.

This is pretty exciting, y’all. We launched the Fandom People Awards and opened them up for nominations yesterday, September 6th. Woot!

There are categories that recognize the contributions of Authors, Readers, Betas, Artists, Twi-Site Bloggers, and members of the Twific community. We’re asking people to think about the people who make this fandom such a great place to be.

Authors, who hooks it up with insightful reviews? Who goes out of their way to pimp the hell out of your story? Which pre-reader or Beta throws down the most helpful feedback?

Readers, which authors have the best review replies? Who are the most accessible authors on twitter?

Everybody:
Which banners are the hottest? the most creative? the most visually stunning? Who is the master manip-maker? blinkie-maker? banner-maker?
*New Category* We just added a new category for best Fanfiction Video. If you have already nominated, you should be able to go back and add a nomination for that.

Which Twi-sites have the best recs? Where can you find the best resources for writing fic?

Who, in the Twific community, is the hardest working woman in show business? Who promotes the love throughout our fandom?

Think about these questions and GO SUBMIT YOUR NOMINATIONS!

Remember that these are not your average awards. It’s not a popularity contest, it’s an opportunity to show love to the people who often get overlooked in this fandom.

Is there a central place where I can look at what banners are out there?
Here are just a few ideas of where you can go to check out some of the banners that are out there:

• Many authors include in their FF.net profile the links to the banners, blinkies & art for their story.
• On Twilighted.net the banners and art can be found directly on the authors’ profiles.
• The forums on Twilighted.net are also great resources because people always have tons of great banners as signatures for their posts.

Do I have to find 3 people to nominate for the categories with 3 spaces?
Nope. You can submit up to 3 people.

Can I go back and change my responses after I submit?
Yes. If your cookies are enabled, just return to http://www.twificpimps.com/fandompplawards/nominations/

There are so many great award sites in our fandom that give recognition to outstanding stories. However, we want to acknowledge the people that make this fandom such a fantastic thing to be a part of.

The Twific Pimps run a Rec Blog/Podcast called Fic Pushin’: Twific Pimps Dealing Only the Best. Our goal is to pimp the best fic and be reader focused. Check out our show on the blog or iTunes. Also, every Wednesday we let authors say thanks for great reviews with Hump Your Readers Wednesday. And every Friday we review a great fic that’s been pimped to us with our Friday Fic Fit.
