This week Google is showing off their next gigantic Project Beta, a pair off augmented reality glasses that connect with your whole Google experience: Project Glass. This is project called as "Project Glass" experience is part of the Google X offices for de experimental projects and is certainly not an April Fool's joke.Instaed this fantastical vision for the very near future is shown in a demostration video that has us flipping over the prospect of this product being released in the very near future.

This project isn't a prop. it's not a joke , it's the real deal - and Google is detailing it via Google, of course. This project is being touted by Google X employees at a futuristic vision that could very well come to fruition very soom. They're looking for your input, in fact, to drive the project forward from the very real place it's a today. The actuals devices are a pair of wrap-around glasses with a clear display that sits in front of your eye (the left, for now), and leaks surrounding the glasses have been popping up for months. It appeared back them that these would be Terminator-tech, while now we, re seeing that it's much more that that - it's a fully integrated Google apps experience. What's more than this, the project could potentially not just sit around yout head - this tech could get as close to your body as a contact lens.

Rumor: Apple to use Anti-Reflective Glass in new iMac

Even though macs are great, one aspect that has bee continually irritating is the presence of a perfect reflection in the glass that protects their displays. Not everyone is annoyed by this, but many users have recognized it as a distracting element of the computer. For thoe who wish to rid themselves of this glare, Apple has offered an option to add anti-glare glass to the display of MacBook Pros for an extra U$S150 on the 15-inch an 17-inch models. Sadly, this optional characteristic is lacking in their iMac line, according to strong rumors that we haer all this may change with the next generation of Apple's All-In-One desktop.

The rumor mill has included a small bit of information pertaining to the rumored new iMac, in a roundup of touch panel supplier news published earlier today. According to the report, G-Tech Optoelectronics is both increasing the production rate of glass for the new iPad and also collaborating whit Apple to manufacturer some anti-reflective glass for a new iMac that would sport Intel's Ivy Bridge CPU Technology: these processors will become available on March 29th, according to report. G-Tech is ramping up its production capacity of cover glass from 1.8 millon units a month curretly to thre million units in 2012 as the company is likely to take up 25-30% of total cover glass orders for Apple's iPads in the year, according to an indutry estimate.

G-Tech is also expected to supply AR(anti-reflective) glass solutions for Apple's All-In-One (AIO) iMac's with the new products to also serve as a growth drive for G-Tech, indicated industry sources.

LG Display starts to develop flexible displays

LG Display is dedicated to the development of LCD screens and is one of the largest in the world with Samsung.

At present, the company is developing a screen called EPD (Electronic Paper Display), which works with electronic ink, has a size of sixeinches, is flexible and can ben to 40 degrees.

In addition, the EPD is resitant to shocks, drops and scratches, but it's flexibility is the most important quality and will make much thinner devices.

LG Display has announced that this technology will be released in April.

What is OLED TV?
An OLED TV uses a new display technology called OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diodes). Unlike LCD/LED and plasma, OLED TV is thinner, lighter and more efficient energy consumption.
What is OLED?
OLEd is made of organic material (or the carbon-based) components that are placed between two conductors. It emits light when electricity is applied. It doesn't requiere a blacklight so it more energy efficient. The two most common OLED screens today are the PMOLED (Passive-Matrix OLED) and AMOLED (Active-Matrix OLED). Poleis cheaper and easier to produce, but is limited in seze and has lower resolution comparedto AMOLED. While AMOLED screens are more efficient and can be made large, it also means that more expensive and complicated to manufacure.

Today PMOLED displays used in MP3players and secondary screen are cell phones. Smartphones and digital cameras are going to find that most have AMOLED displays, as these electronic devices requiere a higher resolution on their display panels such as the Samsung Galaxy S2.

OLED screens offer better viewing experience and more aesthetic desing of the devices, this technology still lags behind the LCD and plasma in terms of life

The difference between LED and OLED TVs

The LED TVs are actually an LCD TV with LED backlighting. These backlights can be placed at the edges of the panel or full of lights placed behind a screen.
