This is an interesting little gadget called the blink USB. This is a little USB dongle has a RGB LED in the end that can glow different colors. The small light slips into a USB port and has lots of programmable functionality that can be used as a status light just about anything you can think of. The device will work with Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems allowing it to work with just about any computer you might have in the home or office.

A group of Ukrainian programmers created the "Enable Talk" a device consisting of a pair of gloves that can contectar a smartphone and allows the individual gestures are seen as words on the screen and even listen.

The gloves have sensors such as accelerometers and gyroscopes, which are present in controls Move Playstation, Nintendo Wii, cell phones and tablets, which were adapted to convert the movements of the hands in the air-to-speech and text that can be seen using bluetooth connection on smartphones.

According to its developers, the device also has the ability to allow users to create and schedule certain gestures for certain words.

Maxim Osika, one of the developers, said that "we were inspired to help our friends who are speech impaired and provide the ability to communicate like everyone else".

Although "Enable Talk" is just a prototype, this allowed him to retain first place in the Microsoft Imagine Cup for technical innovations that took place in Australia.
It’s not uncommon for the referees to have a difficult time calling a goal during a match because it can be hard to determine when the ball passes the goal line. FIFA has just approved a new high-tech soccer ball that will eliminate any misunderstandings when it comes to scoring a goal or not.

The ball itself looks normal on the outside, but has bands of copper sensors on the inside that wrap completely around the ball. When a player kicks the ball through the goal, as soon as the entire ball crosses the goal line antennas mounted to the goal pick up the score. A light on a watch worn by officials then comes on to signify the score.

It’s not clear at this point when the ball will make its first appearance in a professional soccer match, but listen to rumors be implemented in the World Cup Brazil 2014, this technology should easily end any arguments about whether or not the goal was good down at the pub.

Less than a month, Facebook announced to the world to buy Face.com, the Israeli startup that is dedicated to providing facial recognition technology in images. But now, many developers will have to leave in search of new horizons when it is announced that the API to face.com does not go more.

The notice was published in the official site and also Face.com have sent via email to its customers and developers, who may no longer using the products and services company. The reason for this change is very simple: Facebook wants to encourage the development of such products and services within the social network itself, so it is necessary to cut all relations with external agents.

In cruder words, this means leaving practically dumped into a handful of people. And that also includes users, such as those using Klik IOS application that has disappeared from the App Store, although it provides a support site for those wishing to download your data.

For now, those who used the services of Face.com have no chance to resign, and find alternatives. Looking back, it's pretty logical move by Facebook when you have enough money: went from being the largest customer Face.com, to own the company and that they work only for them.

Pocket TV turns any TV into a Smart TV

Anybody want to convert their "old" or similar LCD TV in one of those smart today are the latest fashion? May do so in the future thanks to Pocket TV, a project that is close to a week of their collection in Kickstarter and has proven very successful to the point that already has more than tripled its initial goal of $ 100,000.

Pocket TV is something like a USB stick, but is connected to the TV via the HDMI port. Inside, the circuitry is sufficient to run Android 4.0 and from there up, add the features that are similar to those of a Smart TV. Of course, that the system can connect to Google Play and download applications, games, surfing the internet, and everything imaginable. It even includes a USB port to add an accessory to taste (mouse, external hard drive, or even a camera), and also an SD card slot.

Each Pocket TV remote control will have its own standard, but those who prefer, you can buy (supporting the project in Kickstarter) and choose the Air Remote, more advanced control that includes a QWERTY keyboard plus a gyroscope inside. As if that were not enough, you can also use a smartphone either IOS or Android as remote control.

Once completed the project in Kickstarter, the company behind the Pocket TV (Infinitec) expects to start producing the first batch of equipment for the month of July, to begin to distribute and sell it by September or October for a price of $ 160 in your basic version (Pocket TV more standard remote). Interested? At first glance, the idea seems very promising.

Aiptek projectors ready for iPhone OS and Android

During the event, Google I / O 2012, the company introduced its new version for Android 4.1 mobile operating system codenamed "Jelly Bean", introducing a series of innovations and new features that seek to give new life to this platform for smartphones and tablets .

Butter Project

From the conference, the first thing mentioned was the "Butter Project," the name given to illustrate Google's mission to make the Android user experience much more fluid, ie, fast touch response times and reduced when open applications, windows, etc..
For that is that developed technologies that allow the central processor (CPU), graphics chip (GPU) and RAM work more integrated response to user needs when it touches the screen, delivering faster response times.
The goal is to reach a fluidity of 60 frames per second (fps), with animations and transitions to be seen as moves "through butter."

Changes in widgets

These tools for the Android home screen are much smarter now because when you move a widget around the different pages on screen, even if one has too many icons, is now a more natural task: if we put a widget and application icons take up space, one side will surround the widget. Also, if one of these boxes is too large to fit between the icons automatically reduce in size.

Improvements to the keypad

Here the issue is simple: improve the capacity of the on-screen keyboard shown to better predict what we write, refining the internal dictionary and incorporating the role of learning over time the language used by the individual staff, improving the prediction of the text .

Voice Recognition

One characteristic is improved voice recognition on Android, tool with which we can write text messages and emails dictating to the computer with speech. The point is that voice recognition works even if the phone does not have Internet connectivity, differing from the competition (¿hello, Siri?) Which does require communication with the network for enterprise servers translate the voice into digital text .
At the moment available only in English, however, promised for the short term, adding support for at least 18 additional languages, where we hope it is Spanish, notable absentee from Siri and star in S Voice Samsung for Galaxy S III.

Camera Application

After significant improvements in Android 4.0 Ice Create Sandwich to accelerate the process of taking photographs, Jelly Bean worked to display these catches in the best way possible, integrating innovations to the gallery that now allows better manage, for example, erasing a file or see more of them with a slip of the finger, as if we handle a stack of photo paper in real life.

Android Beam

This utility was introduced with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and allows two devices to communicate with NFC to transmit chop web address (URL) or contacts. Now in Android Android 4.1 is possible to use Beam to share a photo, video and even sync your mobile device with an accessory, like a pair of wireless headphones.

Improved notifications

The notification bar at the top of the screen, which extends downward slide when the finger is one of the hallmarks of the Android operating system. And now, 4.1 is added more interaction in the notifications we see, depending on what they are. For example, if we have a missed call, and view the image of the person who tried to contact us we will also see two buttons to initiate an action directly from the notification screen: call or send a message.
Another example is the new email messages, where you can see the sender and subject of new emails without going to the Gmail application. Also, you can view images directly if they come from a social network service Google +, being also possible to press the button without entering +1 to the application itself, making it possible to use this new integration with other applications.

Google searches: new interface and voice recognition

First, Google redesigned the GUI screen we get after a consultation to review the data, which is now cleaner and more orderly, as shown in the image, and is also smart to give us specific answers to our questions, rather many links on Google.com as is done today. In short, the screen you see in the image meets the most important of our query, ordains and responds to the question asked in Google.
But more importantly, how can we ask the question through our voice. This new feature certainly comes to compete with S Siri Voice of Samsung and Apple, this time with a voice that responds back to the search results.
For example, if you activate the voice search, we can ask: "What is a robot?", They answer a friendly clean screen with the text of the definition of robot out of a dictionary, with a voice that reads the response aloud. In the show not only highlights that, but also the excellent voice recognition gets the device.
Finally, a third change in the way of searching on Google for Android 4.1 is something sinister: intelligent search. This is defined as the possibility that Google uses your search history data on the calendar and other items to better understand what we want, something that as clarified, will "only if we choose to."

100 years of the birth of Alan Turing
This June
23 marks 100 years to the birth of Alan Turing, a mathematician, a pioneer in
computer science who contributed in the fields of logic, cryptanalysis,
cognitive science, artificial intelligence and biology. Although it is
recognized in these fields of science, many times their contribution has not
been sufficiently highlighted.

Alan Turing, and why was it so important? A few days after the celebration of

Turing was
born in London on June 23, 1912, and from an early age showed interest and
talent for mathematics, something that would specialize in college then. Turing
graduated from King's College, Cambridge in 1934 with honors.

In 1936 he
presented one of his first papers relevant. At that time, a problem that was
being debated among mathematicians was the Entscheidungsproblem or
"trouble-making", proposed in 1928 by German mathematician David
Hilbert.

The
original problem came from the seventeenth century, when the mathematician
Leibniz Gottfrief was perfecting one of the first calculators, and thought of
the possibility of creating a machine that could determine the truth of a
mathematical approach or theorem. Hilbert put it as a machine that could answer
"yes" or "no" to determine whether a claim was universally
valid for a predetermined set of axioms. The problem can also be seen as
creating an algorithm that can decide when a claim can be corroborated on the
basis of the axioms, using logical rules.

Turing
machine

The problem
is unsolvable, which was tested both by Alonzo Church and Alan Turing in a more
or less simultaneously using different methods. The result was embodied in a
theorem set.

However,
the test proposed by Turing introduced the creation of the Turing machine, a
device that manipulates symbols hypothetical tape according to a table of
rules.

Despite its
simplicity, the Turing machine can be adapted to simulate the logic of any
computer algorithm, and is used today in computer theory to explain the
functions of the CPU within a computer. Turing proved that such a machine could
perform any mathematical computation if it can be represented by an algorithm.

The idea of
a "universal machine" that could perform the tasks of any other
machine - or be able to compute anything computable - was new at this time.

After this
paper, Turing worked nearly two years with Alonzo Church at the Institute for
Advanced Study in Princeton, United States. Besides working in mathematics,
Turing began to study encryption or cryptography. In June 1938 obtained his
Ph.D. from Princeton University.

World War
II

After
completing his doctorate, Turing returned to Cambridge, where he began working
part time at the School Government Code and Cipher (GCCS), a British
intelligence agency whose mission was to advise on safety codes and ciphers
used by the government , and also study communication methods used by other
countries encrypted.

World War
II would begin next year, and Turing played a vital role in the agency while
working to decipher the codes used by the Germans during the war goes
communicate. Particularly focused on Enigma, a machine used by the Germans,
were summarized and deciphering secret messages in Morse code, and whose
understanding allowed the Allies to know in advance the enemy's plans.

Turing
worked with experienced Dilly Knox in the GCCS to improve the method made by
Poland to read the messages, which led to the creation of bombe, a machine
whose function was to discover the configuration of the Enigma machines used in
German networks for can then find the key that would read the message.

During the
war, Turing also provided to address other encryption systems used by the
Nazis, especially the version of Enigma used by the German Navy, which was more
complex than using the other branches. This led to a special unit known as
"Hut 8".

In many
cases, improved way to figure that already existed. The mathematician employed
several statistical techniques to optimize test different alternatives in the
process of deciphering a code.

Turing
wrote two papers about it that were considered so valuable by the GCCS and
sucessora, GCHQ, which were not made public until April this year.

During his
tenure with this agency, Turing earned a reputation as an eccentric. For
example, I had a bicycle to which the chain was coming out every few pedal
strokes. Rather than repaired, Turing had the amount of pedaling and wearing
down just in time to adjust the chain before they leave. It also says he used
to tie his bowl to the heating pipes to avoid being stolen.

End of war
and artificial intelligence

After the
war, Turing moved to Richmond, London, where he worked on the design of
"Computational Motor Auto" or ACE, the National Physical Laboratory.
In 1946 he presented a paper which detailed the first detailed design of a
computer program stored, ie, instructions for a program stored in an electronic
memory. Although the proposed design was possible to manufacture, the amount of
secrets after the war had delayed the implementation of the project and finally
Turing left him.

In late
1947, the mathematician took a sabbatical and returned to Cambridge. While
outside, he built the first ACE, which ran its first program on May 10, 1950.
Although the ACE model proposed by Turing was never built, his ideas led to
machines like the English Electric DEUCE and the Bendix G-15 years later.

In 1948,
Turing began working in the Department of Mathematics, University of
Manchester, where he did further research in abstract mathematics, coming
little by little in the field of artificial intelligence.

Turing
proposed in 1950 a test called the "Turing Test", which attempts to
define a standard for a machine can be considered "smart." The idea
was to put a human to examine a machine. If humans could not make out, through
conversation, if your partner was human or machine, it was concluded that the
computer was able to think.

In his
paper, Turing proposed that instead of creating a program that simulates an
adult mind, which would have to do is create a simpler, you can simulate a
child's mind, and then "educate".

A few years
before considering this, Turing had started to develop a chess program to run
it on a computer - that did not exist. In 1952, the absence of any machine
powerful enough to run the program that had been raised, simulating the Turing
played chess computer, taking half an hour for each move on the board. The
program lost to Turing's friend, Alick Glennie.

Homosexuality
and later years

Turing
worked from 1952 until his death in mathematical biology and morphogenesis, the
mechanism by which an organism gets its way. Of particular interest was the
existence of Fibonacci numbers to the structure of the plants.

Although
Turing had admitted his homosexuality in times of war, was in the 50's that
brought sexual orientation issues. In January 1952, Turing met Arnold Murray at
the exit of a cinema in Manchester, with whom he began dating. Murray, however,
took advantage of Turing confidence to enter your house to steal a few weeks.
Turing reported the crime to the police, and during the investigation, admitted
a sexual relationship with Murray.

Homosexual
acts were illegal in the UK at the time, so both were convicted of "gross
indecency". The punishment options were being caught, or undergo chemical
castration on probation. Turing chose the latter alternative.

Having been
convicted of a "crime" was forbidden to continue the consulting unit
performed in the cryptanalysis of the British intelligence agency.

On June 8,
1954, Turing was found dead in his home. It was determined that the cause of
death was cyanide poisoning. His body was found next to an apple bite, and
although not reviewed the apple, is believed to have ingested the poison
through the fruit. According to novelist David Levitt, Turing's favorite story
was Snow White, so it may have reproduced the scene of the apple in his
suicide.

It is not
clear why it took this decision. It may have been police surveillance, or maybe
something else. Chemical castration is considered one of the possible reasons.
In 2009 he launched a petition to the British government to apologize for his
treatment mathematician.

"Thousands
of people have come together to demand justice for Alan Turing and recognition
of the shameful way he was treated. While Turing was tried by the law of time
and can not turn back the clocks, the deal was completely unfair and I am glad
to have the opportunity to say how deeply sorry I and all what happened. So, on
behalf of the British government and all those who live freely thanks to the
work of Alan, I am very proud to say: sorry, deserved so much better,
"wrote the Prime Minister, Gordon Brown this year.

In 2011
there was a request that he "forgive" his crime, however, the request
was rejected. Lord McNally said at the time that "the law of his time
called for a condemnation, and as such, the long-term policy has been to accept
that these convictions occurred, instead of trying to alter the historical
context to correct what can not be corrected we must ensure we never will those
times again. "

Turing was
honored by several universities and received several awards and posthumous
tributes. This year there are also many celebrations for the centenary of his
birth, not only in the United States but also in the U.S., Germany, Brazil,
Spain, New Zealand and other countries.

The Macbook Pro with only 15.4 inches with a resolution 2880 × 1800, just amazing, an Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge (Quad-Core) with to 2.7 GHz and 3.7 GHz with TurboBoost, weighing 2 kg and 1.8 cm thick, ultra-fast flash memory up to 768Gb, 8Gb but can be expanded up to 16GB of RAM, a GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of dedicated memory, yielding up to 60% more than any other portable, with HDMI port (yes, you read correctly HDMI), SDXC card reader, 2 USB 3.0/2.0 and 2 Thunderbolt, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. Apple says the speakers are the best that have been installed on any computer, and also has FaceTime HD and dual microphone, must be awesome to work with a device as well

Computex 2012: ASUS has Thunderbolt to Z77 and H77 motherboards with expansion card
is finally catching on to be adopted by the industry in which ASUS motherboards
and is postulated as the first manufacturer to receive its certificate
Thunderbolt P8Z77-V Premium motherboard. Unfortunately, the high price of these
motherboards will remain a problem for most users. To this end ASUS has
developed an alternative that promises to extend support to other models
Thunderbolt motherboards with exclusive prices.

This dilemma arises LEAP technology, a new project which brings us to interact with you Mac using natural gestures and movements. For $ 69 you can control your iMac as Tom Croise in Minority Report.

How far will the wats yo interact with our device? The Keeyboard and mouse duo seems doomed, little by little, to ostracism. For years, we have seen developments in the field of motion control, which come to consoles fairly recently, and tactile interfaces seem to be a good alternative. Today we present LEAP, for those who did not knew on May 21 was released, a curious project to control and manage the Mac environment with the simple movement of your hand.

LEAP is a fairly inexpensive device. for just $ 69 USD we can play, browse the web, interact with our favorite program or application, enlarge a picture, drawing or sort your desklop icons. whatever. Like the siccessful Microsoft platform, Kinect, LEAP is a small-sized gadget incredibly small, which recognizes our gestures and movements with great fidelity and naturalness, and apparently without laf or delay of anu kind.

Far years. people have speculated that even Apple itself could be behind a similar development, trying new gestures and interface to their Macs in the same way you did with the multi touch iOS ecosystem after the arrival of the iPhone in 2007 or iPad in 2010. Both Lion and Mountain Lion, Mac operating systems, incorporate a variety of touch gestures, which would virtually open the way to go through it and invite interesting alternatives. LEAP is a very insteresting idea, but perhaps, faces his toughest test: be attractive and logical for a miltitude of users somewaht reluctant to change. You can order it quickly now, becouse its creators do ship outside the country, and they say, the amount is quite limited.
This is the commercial video:

The new smartphone from Samsung draws attention, in the first place, because it offers a larger screen than its predecessor, the S
, as it went from 4.3 to 4.8 inchesdiagonal. However, this change does not effect the overall dimensions of the device, which remain practically unchaged with respect to the previous genration, thank to the desingners chose to lower the bezel device.

The Galaxy S3 panel incorporates HD technology Super AMOLED (Active - Matrix Organic Ligh Emitting Diode), the same used in the Galaxy Note, which has the particular feature that detects the touch layer is integrated into the screen, instead of being overlapped.
Intel aid in the miniaturization of the circuits, through 3D transistor technology. The new Core processor family are expected to offer higher performance per clock cycle, speed and efficiency.

Ivy Bridge has a core design improved compared to "Sandy Bridge" quad-core packages x86-64, a wide AVX instruction set that includes AES-NI acceleration, the second generation Turbo Boost Technology, resulting in greater energy efficiency, and a new integrated graphics core that supports DirectX11. The graphics core can also be highly parallelized tasks such as video encoding, with the enhanced video QuickSync, and can transmit video wirelessly trough WiDi.
Each of the four cores are 8 or 6 MB shared L3 cache. the cache enabled this amount varies between models. The northbidge chip has a fully integrated memory controller integrated dual channel DDr3 (BMI)is compatible with PCI-Express 3.0 which has 16 lanes of grapichs(which can be organized in x16, x8)/x8 and x8/x4/x4, depending on the chipset on the motherboard). The new i7 Series chipsets Intel "Panther Point"are natively supported, to enable some new features, while the previous generation 6 series "Cougar Point" are also supported.
This is project called as "Project Glass" experience is part of the Google X offices for de experimental projects and is certainly not an April Fool's joke.Instaed this fantastical vision for the very near future is shown in a demostration video that has us flipping over the prospect of this product being released in the very near future.

This project isn't a prop. it's not a joke , it's the real deal - and Google is detailing it via Google, of course. This project is being touted by Google X employees at a futuristic vision that could very well come to fruition very soom. They're looking for your input, in fact, to drive the project forward from the very real place it's a today. Have a peek at this demostration (virtualized, of course) video to see what this is all about:

The actuals devices are a pair of wrap-around glasses with a clear display that sits in front of your eye (the left, for now), and leaks surrounding the glasses have been popping up for months. It appeared back them that these would be Terminator-tech, while now we, re seeing that it's much more that that - it's a fully integrated Google apps experience. What's more than this, the project could potentially not just sit around yout head - this tech could get as close to your body as a contact lens.

The image you're looking at above is a contact lens being developed by Google which Google X employee Badak Parviz notes allos pixels to be sitting right on top of your eye. We'll be following this project as closely as possible as it develops. For now, devour that video and check these photos.
Not everyone is annoyed by this, but many users have recognized it as a distracting element of the computer. For thoe who wish to rid themselves of this glare, Apple has offered an option to add anti-glare glass to the display of MacBook Pros for an extra U$S150 on the 15-inch an 17-inch models. Sadly, this optional characteristic is lacking in their iMac line, according to strong rumors that we haer all this may change with the next generation of Apple's All-In-One desktop.

The rumor mill has included a small bit of information pertaining to the rumored new iMac, in a roundup of touch panel supplier news published earlier today. According to the report, G-Tech Optoelectronics is both increasing the production rate of glass for the new iPad and also collaborating whit Apple to manufacturer some anti-reflective glass for a new iMac that would sport Intel's Ivy Bridge CPU Technology: these processors will become available on March 29th, according to report. More after the break.

G-Tech is ramping up its production capacity of cover glass from 1.8 millon units a month curretly to thre million units in 2012 as the company is likely to take up 25-30% of total cover glass orders for Apple's iPads in the year, according to an indutry estimate.

G-Tech is also expected to supply AR(anti-reflective) glass solutions for Apple's All-In-One (AIO) iMac's with the new products to also serve as a growth drive for G-Tech, indicated industry sources.

I've always found the glare on my 15-inch iMac to be distracting. What do you think about this? Would you purchase a new iMac for less glare or just get some film to put over it?
At present, the company is developing a screen called EPD (Electronic Paper Display), which works with electronic ink, has a size of sixeinches, is flexible and can ben to 40 degrees.

In addition, the EPD is resitant to shocks, drops and scratches, but it's flexibility is the most important quality and will make much thinner devices.

LG Display has announced that this technology will be released in April.
The challenge seems to be the way we possess the batteries, since the flexuble display quality is the main characteristic that want to exploit.

The new flexible screem is six inches and has a resolution of 1024x 768 pixel, the thickness is 0.7 mm and weighs only 14 grams. Due to its electronic ink, the color is black and white. We shall see later models with this typeof display, either LG or other companies that want to experiment with this technology.
Is the 55-inch screen from LG, which was presented at CES 2012.At first it would be presented in the 2nd semester of the year, but now seems to have a possible release date before that.

The 1st we will start taling about OLED TV:

What is OLED TV?
An OLED TV uses a new display technology called OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diodes). Unlike LCD/LED and plasma, OLED TV is thinner, lighter and more efficient energy consumption.
What is OLED?
OLEd is made of organic material (or the carbon-based) components that are placed between two conductors. It emits light when electricity is applied. It doesn't requiere a blacklight so it more energy efficient. The two most common OLED screens today are the PMOLED (Passive-Matrix OLED) and AMOLED (Active-Matrix OLED). Poleis cheaper and easier to produce, but is limited in seze and has lower resolution comparedto AMOLED. While AMOLED screens are more efficient and can be made large, it also means that more expensive and complicated to manufacure.

Today PMOLED displays used in MP3players and secondary screen are cell phones. Smartphones and digital cameras are going to find that most have AMOLED displays, as these electronic devices requiere a higher resolution on their display panels such as the Samsung Galaxy S2.

OLED screens offer better viewing experience and more aesthetic desing of the devices, this technology still lags behind the LCD and plasma in terms of life

The difference between LED and OLED TVs

The LED TVs are actually an LCD TV with LED backlighting. These backlights can be placed at the edges of the panel or full of lights placed behind a screen. In contrast the OLED TVs are each pixel is a light emitting diode itself. Removing the blaclight offers emormous potential for futures OLED TVs can be as thin as paper and very flexible.

When will we see OLED TVs in store.

Today, OLED TVs are alredy available but are very expensive for fans og technology in resolution. However, the giant eletctronics companies that Samsung, LG and Sony are now preparing for mass production of OLED TVs.

According to recent report by LG will release its new 55-inch OLED TV in May during the Canner Film Festival, and the device is expected of U$D 7.900.

To remind you a little more than remind you that this TV has a 55-inch

screen and measures only 4MM thick features a slim bezel, plus it weighs only 7,5 KG.

Thus of these television talk makes me want to hace ona at home.
