Well, I am back and ready to perform like Marvin in his heyday. This is the time that we get ready to get any type of edge that we can find. I am working on drafting in the WCOFF this Sunday, except that I am in the final stages of moving out of my apartment and into my new house with my wife. I was able to do much better last year winning a WCOFF sat, and placing in the money in other leagues. I have figured out that I need to get into new leagues each year, so my opponents do not find my tendencies. In point per reception leagues, I love drafting WRs, and pray to God that I get lucky like I did last year by being able to field Jamal Lewis and Fred Taylor. Both gave impressive years and had low ADPs.

Fantasy football is the greatest thing. You can have the most well-thought out and executed plan, but that means nothing in fantasy football. I drafted a team that I was going to use as a 2 4 line up (two RBs and four WRs), but my WRs just kept getting injured. Therefore, I had to use a 3 3 line up in the home stretch, well it worked for me. Last year, with the addition of Moss, I went after Brady in most of my leagues. It worked well for me. This year...I need to look at what is happening. I know that I do not like players from Miami, or ATL. However, I will give Turner a look and Roddy White in round eight or nine makes sense. You want a sleeper...I'll give you a sleeper in my neck post. Thanks and its good to be back.

Thoughts on the past Fantasy Football Season

I can believe that the season is over and my performance was lackluster I limped into the playoffs in most leagues...and was promptly dispatched of. It was a horrible year...yes I did make it to the money round, and yes I recovered my initial investment...but that is not how I play fantasy football.

My sleepers I hit the nail on the head when I gave you guys Bernard Berrian. He was on fire...when Grossman decided he wanted to play. His states were 51 receptions 775 yards and 6 TDs. He had six games where he scored 15 points or more using Point Per Reception Fantasy Football scoring. However on the flip side Derrick Blaylock just flat out sucked.

You hit some you miss some...I will get this better for new year I vow.

Evaluating Sleepers: RC and EJ

One of my sleepers this year was Reche Caldwell...another was Eric Johnson.

Reche Caldwell had strong stats for a person you could draft in the 12 round of a 12 man draft or later. He had 61 receptions, 760 yards, and 4 touchdowns. However to be fair 4 receptions, 134 yards and 1 TD came in week 17. I believe that he should continue to improve his progress as him and Brady get a better raport. Reche had four monster games. Which would be more than 16 points in a PPR league. In week 8 he went off, for 7 receptions 84 yards and a TD. Week 10, he grabbed 9 passes for 90 yards and a TD. Week 11 he snagged 3 passes for 70 yards and a TD. Finally, he went off in week 13 for 8 recpetions and 112 yards. Not a bad bye-week fill-in!

EJ on the other hand had a very weak year. He could have been had in the last round of the draft for many teams. The guy has talent, but can't fight the injury bug. He had 34 catches for 292 yards and two tds. He had one monster game and one respectable game. In week three he grabbed seven passes for 87 yards and a TD. In week 12 he grabbed 3 passes for 17 yards and a TD.

You hit some you miss some...but at least I am honest about my predictions.

The Fantasy Football Mack Is Back

I am back, married and ready to make the charge towards the end of the year.

My sleeprs have done well and some have not done anything. Here are a list of guys that I recommened. Bernard Berrian...straight up stud this year in fantasy football. Reche Caldwell...he had a great game last week, and overall is a decent player for where I recommended taking him. Greg Jennings...he has been nice, but now he is slowed by an injury...but the guy gots skills. I also liked Eric Johnson, he had one nice game, but so far he has been pretty much a non-factor. Derrick Blaylock, he has done nothing. I also recommened Travis Taylor he is a great bye-week fill-in guy...nothing more than that.

Fantasy Football Expert League Results

The first week of fantasy football I was able to win both of my expert leagues. In the Draft Candy Tournament of Experts I was able to crush FFtoolbox.com 93 to 66. Even with a poor performance from Caddy. McNabb, Rudi, Hines Ward, Crumpler and the Eagles D can up big for me. I need the Bucs to sort out all of their issues to keep Caddy productive. I have Travis Henry and LenDale White to step up into the spot if Caddy keeps on faltering...however I was impressed by the five receptions he had. Big shout out to Draftcandy.com maybe the best fantasy football software available on the net!

In the Website Experts League I defeated footballguys.com by a convincing margin of 103.5 to 80.7. I was powered by strong performances from McNabb, Rudi, Tony G, and a decent spot play from Keyshawn. However, with TJ Whosyourmomma still injured I am hurting at WR. Caddy's performance hurt me once again (I drafted out of the same spot for both of these leagues. Willie Parker will start this week in place of Caddy. I love starting guys who play on primetime...Ego is everything in prosports.

I have two decent teams and I will look to demonstrate that I deserve my place among the elite fantasy football websites. I knocked off two of the best fantasy football websites around, with a less than stellar effort from my squad.

Wavier Wire Madness

The wavier wire was in full effect this week. I did something that might be a little stupid in my WCOFF Sat league. I spent 98% of my blind bidding bucks on Mike Bell. I won the bid for him and I was very satisfied. The wavier wire shuts off before week 11 so you might as well get a player early who might make all of the difference during the playoff run. Yes, he is in a RBBC system...however, we all know that T.Bell is not going to be able to carry the load...he is fragile therefore I got someone who can come in and fill in for the guy right from the Jump. I see Mike Bell as a guy to do some damage down the stretch. I fear the Rookie Wall, but I think that it was the best move I could have made. Too many people reach on WRs after the first week...last year it was F. Jackson...he had one big game for the Boyz and after that he did nothing...he is not even in the league this year...LOL.

I still have 2% of my budget left to get a player that I might need...however I am fairly deep at all positions. Other teams were committing 90% to 80& to aquire him so I was not that far off...I just needed to give a bid that I knew would result in acquiring the player and I did.

First Week of Fantasy Football.

Steelers beat the Fins...I would be worried about Ronnie Brown he looked like crap. Yes, the Steelers have a tough run D, but the guy only got 30 yards on 15 attempts that is something horrible. Cpep is a guy I stayed away from...never once thought about drafting him and I have about 15 teams. However, I must admit I was impressed. The only time that Cpep is going to self-destruct is when he starts forcing plays to come back from behind. The Steelers had him in known passing situations and they knew Ronnie Brown could not run for squat so they brought the dogs and watched him self-destruct.

The Steeler D looked like champs...they applied the pressure when they had to. Three sacks and two picks and one TD is pretty good.

FWP is a stud. The guy looked quick and powerful...I love that.

Things to consider this weekend:

TJ Whosyourmommma will be sitting out this week.
Jamal Lewis will start and play well.
Tomas Jones will bash the the Pack
Keyshawn will pick up Steve Smith's slack.
Derrick Blaylock will get some love.

Fantasy Football's Perfect Storm.

After 4:00 PST there won't be anything left except the WCOFF. Today I drafted two teams at the same time at xperts. That was a mistake...I ended up being stuck with DD in the 8th round. Something was happening with the draft software that caused this to happen to me. Maybe I screwed up. Maybe it was drafting two teams at the same time...but regardless, I got stuck with DD. I think that all fantasy football sites should remove guys who are on IR or have retired from being able to be selected by CC. This year I have one unrealleague team, 4 xpertsports teams, 5 antsports teams, 1 NFFC team and 2 AFFL teams plus my locals and expert leagues. Notice not one of those leagues are being played at NFL.com, ESPN.com, or Yahoo.com? I play big boy and big girl football not the little boy or little girl fantasy football. I eat at the solid oak table not the card table. Step your game up. I know antsports still has some leagues available...if you want to step up and join the big boys and big girls.

How about some wavier wire gossip...ok one name...Ron Dayne he could supplant Lundy as the starter in Texas. He is a grown man and he knows the system. He has a good relationship with the coach. The hardest thing for a young running back to learn is pass protection Dayne should know this quite well by now. I like Dayne as my first WW pick up.

Fantasy Football Respect

It time to take the respect that I deserve. Some of my fantasy football sleepers have already started waking up. Who was the only so-called fantasy football expert to tell you about Derrick Blaylock and that he would be the starting RB for the J-E-T-S? It was me. Everyone else was pimping Martin, Houston, Suggs, and Barlow...but it was fantasy-football-advice.blogspot.com that had Blaylock out on the block freezing in the rain bring this blog its money.

You want another...Greg Jennings...who pimped him first...I did...did he get the starting job...yes. You want another one...Ronald Curry...Raiders shipped off Doug Gabriel to the Pats that means...Ronald Curry is healthy.

I told you to start grabing Wali Lundy in your leagues...b/c of DD's knee. Still too many suckers were out there drafting DD based on some bad intel. To get DD you had to spend at least a high 4th round pick. That is the type of mistake that can kill your fantasy team. Many of you should send emails to whatever site or magazine you use and demand your money back for that league and for that piece of crap subscription/magazine that pimped DD to you.

Pimping fantasy football players is not easy...but I still keep it real. I just gave you some excellent values...oh you want one more...ok While other sites were pimping Ron Dayne...I told you to stay the hell away...hell those sites that were pimping Jabar Gaffney to you...oops he got cut! I think I need to kick down the door at one of the fantasy football sportswriter trade shows and show them all what a real pimp hand looks like up close and personal you dig!

Now you need to take this fantasy football advice and run to antsports and enroll in a fantasy league!

Domanick Davis May Be Cut By the Texans!

Domanick Davis of the Texans is in looking at being cut according to the Houston Chronicle (click on the link for the story). This would mean that Wali Lundy or Vernand Morency would have the opportunity to be the number one starting back for the Texans.

In one of my Antsports leagues I selected Wali off of the wavier wire. That move was based on the quote made by his coach.

Kubiak said Monday that if the regular season began today, Lundy would be the starter against Philadelphia.

If you are looking for a money league try Antsports. Antsports might be the best place to play fantasy football.

Fantasy Football Advice

Fantasy football drafts have been consuming all of my time. I have had a bunch lately. Here are my thoughts:

1. ADP does not mean anything when the action starts. It is a good measure...of what is going to happen, but when it gets crazy it gets crazy. People were drafted way out of line with their ADPs...I was able to draft Tom Brady in the sixth round of a 14 man draft...picking from the 10 hole. Normally I wait on a QB, but I started to smile when I thought I could have Brady or McNabb in the sixth round.

2. Draft Tracking is awesome in theory but the fog of a draft sometimes does not make it practical.

3. Grab the guy you want if you think he will not be there when you draft again.

4. Mock at as many different sites as possible to get a good idea of what you will see from the competition.

5. Test the software at the computer site that you are drafting at in order to make sure it works.

6. Immediately evaluate your team after your fantasy football draft to determine where your team is weak and where you are strong.

7. Understand your fantasy football league's rules.

8. If a player has a history of substance abuse, nagging injuries, being an A-hole or whatever take that into account before you draft him...you can't turn a whore into a housewife. It might work for a year or two but she will eventually show her true colors.

9. Don't buy the hype follow the gamebooks to determine who is really doing what the media is saying they are doing.

10. Brady will be a more dangerous QB if Branch is traded. Why? Because everyone knows that Brady loves to throw to Branch...without him Brady is a mystery. He will show no preference. Brady forces too many balls to Deon...causing interceptions.

11. Jamal Lewis will mash this year.

12. David Carr still sucks...but Moulds could be a real solid find for him. Back to Carr...a man who beats a woman will always beat a woman no matter how many times he says that he is sorry and that it will never happen again...that is just the way he is. Just like Carr...he says he will improve...the guy just sucks.

13. Lee Evans will blow-up if J.P. Loseman wins the job...if not he won't do squat.

14. Dunn is now a second round pick.

15. Antsports might be the best place to play fantasy football.

Fantasy Football Impact of Lelie and Duckett Trade

Lelie and Duckett are traded. Big deal. They both end up at teams that will not help their fantasy football prospects. Duckett is now Portis insurance...who cares...once Portis gets healthy he will send TJ back to the bench. Gibbs is not going to use Duckett as a TD Vulture...instead...Warrick Dunn's stock will now rise, becasue TJ is no longer there to steal goal line carries.

Lelie rather has seen a football that he wants to catch. Vick has rarely seen a wide reciever that he wants to throw to. Now Vick has three big strong fast targets who can't catch worth a lick playing wide out...big deal.

A Couple Random Fantasy Football Thoughts

Everyone likes being able to discuss their fantasy football team with co-workers and what not, but in order to do that you have to have the sexy players on your team...you know Randy Moss, T.O, Reggie Bush, Vince Young, etc. No one cares if you are living in Arizona and you team is comprised of LaMont Jordan, Westy, Hines Ward, Gates, and Derrick Mason. In my opinion a solid team that can be drafted from the 10 spot in a 12 person fantasy football draft. However, no one and I mean no one would find your team interesting. Therefore, people give up value in order to gain the pleasure of discussing their fantasy football team with their friends, family and co-workers. Well, recently I have been drafting two teams in antsports free contest sponsored by draftcandy.com (If you want killer fantasy football software and fantasy football information this is the draftcandy.com is for you!). Click here to see my two active drafts. Team 1 and Team 2. Well I figure one way to get Reggie Bush on my team for the cheap is to draft the Saints D/ST. Reggie will most likely return kicks and/or punts sometime during the year. That way, I can have Reggie on my team and I don't have to pay the early to mid second round pick to draft him. I get to share in all of his excitement without the expense. Also, very few people are going to think about drafting the Saints D therefore you can get him on the cheap and in a best ball format Reggie could score one or two TDs this year as a return man...not too shabby.

Another thought...I have been pimping Derrick Blaylock as a sleeper and the JETS Brass trade for Barlow...I think the job is still Derrick's to lose. Barlow is just not a motivated young man or as someone says somewhere...you can't polish a turd. I am still pimping Blaylock in the 10 round and beyond.

Sleeper Alert, Sleeper Alert.

Fantasy football drafts are already here and I am excited. One of my sleepers is waking up in a major way. His name Derrick Blaylock. Yes, the Jets tried to acquire Suggs and that deal failed. However, they handed the rock to Blaylock and he pounded the Redskins D 4 times in a row for 27 yards. That was against the Skins 1st string D. Other sites were touting that Houston would be the starter not me. Take a look at some of the press from last nights game for Derrick Blaylock: Article 1, Article 2, and the blog post where I first started pimping DB. You can draft DB in your fantasy football draft in the 10 round right now and have a starting running back. That is excellent value. Two Big Forgotten Running Backs

Fantasy football drafts have started and I have noticed something that is rather remarkable. Two of this years biggest sleeper running backs are going nowhere. I mean people are simply not drafting Reuben Droughns and Jamal Lewis. I love both of these guys and I have studied tape of them this year and they have been impressive.

Jamal Lewis is a beast. Too many people got burnt on him last year and it is their own fault. The guy was in the Fed Pen for a couple of months right after he had surgery on his ankle and people were wondering if he would be in tip-top shape. Combine that with a back-up playing for a contract and a crappy QB and it makes for a horrible year. This year Chester is gone and Boller is warming the bench. I think that Jamal will put up top 12 running back numbers in a PPR league and even better in a non-PPR. Game 1 and Game 2.

Reuben Droughns: The guy has two 1200 plus seasons in a row and is still stuck in a low to mid third round pick. The guy has looked solid and explosive. Fast and powerful. I believe the improved D will provide him with a short field. I also do not believe that Cinci can stop the run. I admit that he plays in a tough divison but he should be solid. With the fantasy football season about to begin it is important to know what your competitors are reading. You need to understand what fantasy football sites they are getting their information from. Fantasy football drafts are about to begin. So that is why is so imporant to be good. So allow me to say that when you are good you are good. My third sleeper for a fantasy football wide receiver was Travis Taylor. When you are good you are good. People who followed my fantasy football advice now got themselves a starting WR for next to nothing. As I detailed in my analysis on Travis Taylor I showed you his ADP. Now, it worked out. Many subscription sites tell you stuff that means nothing or that you already know. They think a step behind...I think two steps ahead of the pack. Deep Sleepers

Fantasy football drafts have alreadybegun. If you are some deep fantasy football leagues such as the WCOFF and you can stockpile some guys on your roster and/or you are in a best ball league such as the free one at Ants, then here some guys that you might want to consider.

Bryant Johnson AZ, Cards: the former first rounder has yet to live up to the billing that he had coming to the Valley of the Sun. However, for some reason Warner loves him. BJ will man the slot for the Cards and Warner has always loved his slot guy.

Eric Johnson SF, 49ners. EJ was a PPR monster two years ago. However the guys seems to be healthy one year then injured the next...well this is the year in the cycle where he should be healthy. Alex Smith is already looking for him. I imagine many two TE sets for the 49ners. The 49ners drafted VD not b/c EJ could not get it done, it was because EJ was never on the field.

Hank Baskett Phi, Eagles: This unsigned rookie free agent is asserting himself as the number one or two WR. McNabb will pass a lot and everyone on the top three WRs will get some targets.

Ronald Curry Oak Raider: This former UNC Basketball player is awesome, but has been slowed by injuries. If he can every get up to stuff he will be awesome. Right now he is taking it slow in camp.

Greg Jennings GB Packers: 2nd round draft pick has gained the confidence of Farve. Very talented WR who is having a great camp.

WR Sleeper Number Three

The third installment of my WR sleeper report. The first one was Reche Caldwell. The second wr sleeper was Bernard Berrian. The Final sleeper is Travis Taylor of the Vikes. He is slated as the Vikes number two WR. However, I believe that he will be the opening day WR because of his unflappable ability to make plays. He is not flashy and lacks upside, but he can play and play well. Furthermore, Taylor is the Vikes leading WR from last year. Here is what the press is saying about Taylor. Articles One, Two, and Three. According to Antsports ADP Taylor is not even listed.

Court Ruling For Fantasy Football.

Court ruling will insure, at least for the next two years, that small fantasy football sites be able to exist. This is a huge ruling for all of the fantasy football mom and pop operations like this. Deep Sleeper #2 Bernard Berrian

Many fantasy football drafts are coming up and I have some valuable fantasy football advice for you. I have three WRs who could be awesome late round picks. I will share the second one with you right now. Remember the first one was Reche Caldwell

2. Bernard Berrian of the Bears. This guy has speed to burn. Muhsin Muhammad is the number one WR on this team and can be a possession WR. Right now Bernard Berrian is battling Mark Bradley for the number two WR on the Bears. Everything was going well until Bernard Berrian got a hip flexor. However here are some articles about Berrian. Article one, article two, and article three. Furthermore, whoever is the Bears number two WR will have easy assigmnents against so very poor CBs. Bernard should be considered after round 15. Currently, according to Ants' ADP information which can be found here, Bernard is going undrafted. You could get a starting WR for nothing and look at his stats last year. Look at the divisional game and you will see what I see. Look at his last 4 games...you can even throw out that Vikes game. The guy has talent.
