Installazione:
1. Disconnettiti da internet.
2. Monta o masterizza il file immagine
3. Avviate l'installazione. Alla richiesta di attivazione premete su Annulla, confermate e l'installazione prosegue.
4. A fine installazione togliete le spunta a "Installa EA Download Manager" e cliccate su fine.
5. Per craccare il gioco ci sono due metodi:
a. Eseguite il file NFSHP_Activator per l'attivazione offline del gioco (a me ha funzionato solo una volta) e giocate restando scollegati da internet.
b. oppure copiate il file NFS11 dalla cartella C***K e incollatelo nella directory di installazione del gioco sostituendo quello esistente.
Con la c***k potete anche essere collegati a internet ma all'avvio del gioco non aggiornate.
Nota1: il mio avira segnala il file NFSHP_Activator come virus, ma è un falso positivo, togliete il controllo del vostro antivirus da questo file.
Nota2: per cambiare la lingua eseguite il file changer e selezionate la lingua che desiderate, confermate ed eseguite il gioco.

Installation:
1. Disconnect from the Internet.
2. Mount or burn the image file
3. Start the installation. When prompted to activate press the Cancel button, and confirm the installation continues.
4. At the end of installation, remove the check mark to 'Install the EA Download Manager' and click Finish.
5. To crack the game there are two methods:
a. Run the file NFSHP_Activator to activate the game offline (I only worked once) and still make it disconnected from the Internet.
or
b. NFS11 or copy the file from crack folder and paste it into the game installation directory replacing the existing one.

The original Project IGI was cursed with probably the worst name ever seen in gaming
(except perhaps that old PC Engine game, Bonk). It was also cursed with some pretty
poor AI and basic gameplay flaws, not to mention a difficulty level straight from Satan's
bowels, but it definitely had something. It may have been that it hinted at something
better, it may have been that there were some real moments of quality or it may have
been that it received a fair amount of hype but it sold quite well and some people didn't
think it was crap. It was good to see that in March 2003 when Codemasters and Innerloop
released a sequel, they had taken note of the criticisms and produced a far better gaming
experience. It had the backing of former SAS officer turned mediocre author Chris Ryan,
it sold pretty well and it got reasonable reviews - people thought it was alright. Not great,
not Halo but certainly not crap. Eighteen months on, it receives a release on the £9.99 M.A.D.
label from industry old boys Mastertronic and do you know what? It's still quite good.

Essentially what you've got here is a hammy spy yarn told through a fairly decent stealth-centred
FPS. Taking the role of David Jones, the campest former SAS man this side of a Blue Oyster Bar
military theme night, you must save the world (again) from global terror. This time, the technical
plans of a new EMP device have been stolen by some cheeky Russians and it's up to you and your
team to get them back. Think of any Tom Clancy book and not only do you have the right ball park;
you're probably on the right base too. There's a familiar team of characters to help you out and
a familiar team of characters to get in your way. You have to sneak past or shoot the latter.

Tense and unpredictable experience: This is the violent and chaotic journey of two men: a flawed mercenary and a medicated psychopath. Fast and intuitive combat: Lead a crew of criminal mercenaries to increase your chance of surviving and reaching your goals. You can also fight alone as your crew AI will automatically draw fire, throw grenades, lay down cover, and engage in close combat with their own signature moves.

The game opens with a voiceover of Adam 'Kane' Marcus, reading a letter from his daughter Jenny. Kane is traveling to death row after being convicted of manslaughter. Another death row inmate, James Seth Lynch, lets on there will be a breakout. Their truck is involved in a head-on collision by a group of mercenaries. The two are taken to a construction site, where they are confronted by four members of a gang of criminals called The7, led by The Brothers and their henchmen Carlos (a close friend of Kane) and Mute. They accuse Kane of stealing money from them, and reveal that they have taken his wife and daughter hostage. Kane is given three weeks to retrieve the money, or his wife and daughter will be killed.
After meeting The7, police officers arrive and the two are forced to shoot their way out of the construction site. Later, Kane explains that he did not steal from The7, but knows who did, and where they hid it. Kane and Lynch rob a local bank, where the money is being kept. Though only half of the money is inside the safe, Kane believes he knows where the other half is. Meanwhile, Lynch, who suffers from periodic episodes of violent psychosis, blacks out and kills all of the hostages after his medication wears off, forcing Kane and Lynch to shoot their way out and flee in a van driven by their getaway driver. Losing the police in the subway after the van crashes, Kane informs Lynch that they need to go to Tokyo to retrieve the other half of the money.
In Tokyo, the pair go after Retomoto, a Japanese crime lord, by kidnapping his daughter Yoko as ransom. While Kane negotiates with Retomoto over the phone, Lynch accidentally shoots and kills Yoko while trying to stop her from escaping. Kane, Lynch and The7's hired guns then proceed to escape from Retomoto's hitmen. Kane is furious with Lynch, but he soon realizes that they are out of time, and must return to The7 with only half of the stolen money.
Lynch reveals to Kane that he made a deal with The7 to ensure his survival as well as a position within The7, but he is betrayed and knocked unconscious at the construction site where Kane and his family are to be executed. Kane's plea for extra time is denied, as The Brothers and Carlos depart for Havana, leaving Mute to carry out the deed. Kane's wife expresses her disgust with Kane but is executed by Mute before he has a chance to speak to her as promised. Regaining consciousness, Lynch snaps and attacks his kidnappers while Kane beats Mute to death. Kane and Lynch then proceed to protect Kane's daughter, Jenny, from The7's reinforcements, who cries over her mother's body during the battle until escaping.
Kane buries his wife and decides to finish off The7 for the sake of his daughter's safety. Lynch insists on joining him, claiming they murdered his wife five years previously. They free a group of "dead men" who were wronged by The7 from prison in order to form a team to combat them: Rific, Thapa and Shelly. Shelly expresses resentment at working with Lynch and reveals that he may have been his own wife's killer. Before flying to Havana, they return to Tokyo and kill Retomoto, reclaiming the briefcase of money to finance their war with The7. In Havana, Kane keeps everyone motivated with promises of payment as they track down The Brothers and Carlos. Kane informs Lynch that The7 profit from assisting factions in civil wars, with Havana supposedly the last job needed for their retirement. They find themselves caught up in an ongoing civil war, joining the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces and battling The7's forces trying to stage a coup d’état. They find Carlos, abandoned by The Brothers. Kane recruits him, and Thapa, no longer trusting Kane, abandons the mission as a result. The Dead Men then fight their way through the Venezuelan jungle, and locate The Brothers at their compound. Carlos volunteers to go on ahead and open the gates with an explosive, but is killed by The Brothers. Kane and Lynch discover over Carlos's radio that they have again captured Jenny, so they storm the compound and in the process kill the Elder Brother. However, the Younger Brother manages to escape with Jenny and attempts to take off in an airplane.

Alternate endings also.
Kane and Lynch follow in a car and disable the plane's engines before killing the Younger Brother. Jenny then pulls a gun on Kane and blames him for her mother's death. Kane tells her that whether she hates him or not he will get her to safety. Kane is then given the choice of rescuing Rific and Shelly, who are pinned down by The7's mercenaries, or escaping in a helicopter with Jenny and leaving them to die.
If Kane boards the helicopter with Jenny and leaves Rific and Shelly to die, Jenny will resent her father for leaving his men and tell him that she hates him. As they are escaping in the helicopter, Lynch, on the ground, says to himself, "I fucking knew it, from the first second I fucking knew it."
In the canonical ending, Kane chooses to rescue Rific and Shelly, who are trapped in a burning church towering over a village. Kane and Lynch are too late to save Rific, but Shelly is still alive. He feels betrayed despite the rescue attempt. As they escape to the pier, Jenny is shot, and Kane carries her body along. Shelly loses his patience and attempts to escape on one of the boats alone but is killed by shrapnel from an exploding boat. Lynch is shot as he escapes on a undamaged boat with Kane, while Jenny's status is still unknown. The boat floats slowly down the river, while Kane holds Jenny and whispers to her about the letter he tried to send her.

In campaign mode the player controls Kane. The player is accompanied by Lynch, and sometimes other hired mercenaries. Co-op mode is available, in which the second player controls Lynch. Though almost identical to Kane's style of gameplay, Lynch has short bursts of aggression in which hallucinates nearly all AI characters are police, some sporting an animal's head. Lynch carries a shotgun and a revolver as side arm, while Kane carries an assault rifle and standard pistol, though it is possible to swap weapons. Additional weapons such as grenades, sniper rifles and carbines can be picked up, which can be swapped between allies. The player can take cover by standing next to a wall, and can blindfire. While having hired mercenaries, the player can issue orders such as follow, move to a specific position, or attack.

Overview

Diverging from previous Driver games, Parallel Lines takes place in just one city, New York, instead of multiple cities, but in the middle of the story the eras of the city - 1978 and 2006 - are changed. Due to the underwhelming performance of Driv3r, particularly the often-derided on-foot sections, Parallel Lines returns to the formula used in earlier games in the series, focusing on driving, although shooting remains in the game. The game was received better by critics than the last game, though did receive some criticism.This is the first game of the Driver series that does not follow undercover cop Tanner.
Gameplay

Driver: Parallel Lines takes place in an entirely open world environment. Instead of choosing minigames from a menu as in previous Driver titles, minigames are now accessed from the in-game world. Many changes have been made from the previous game, including visible blood when someone is shot, a money system, fully modifiable vehicles, environment destruction (i.e., lamp posts can now be run over and fire hydrants can break, spewing water into the air), and a new felony system that differentiates between personal felony and felony "attached" to vehicles the player has used. If the player attracts police attention on foot or in a certain vehicle and then loses the police and enters a "clean" car, their wanted level will be suspended. It can be reactivated, though, by spending too much time in the sight of a police officer, who will eventually recognize the player as "wanted". The same principle applies to out-of-car activities, such as weapon use, and allows the player to holster a weapon in order to lose police attention until spotted committing illegal acts again. For the Wii version, the felony bar has been replaced with Grand Theft Auto-esque "stars" which light up when the player attracts police attention. Also, swimming and jumping abilities from Driv3r, were removed.

The game was originally intended to include online multiplayer, but this was scrapped when it became apparent to the developers that they could not deliver a strong multiplayer mode[5] and wanted to focus entirely on the single-player portion of the game. The instant replay film director mode of previous Driver games was removed from Parallel Lines. Instead, the only available cinematic mode is the fixed-perspective slow-motion "Thrill Camera".
New York City
The major features of New York's skyline, such as the Empire State Building, are always visible, even from the other boroughs across the river.

The interpretation of New York City in Parallel Lines is not GPS street-accurate like True Crime: New York City's Manhattan. Instead, the game presents a smaller but more stylistic version of the city that includes all the boroughs except Staten Island and parts of the New Jersey shore. The game's Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens, and New Jersey consists of 222.5 miles (358.1 km) of roadway, larger than the combined total of all three cities (Miami, Nice, and Istanbul) from Driv3r. The game's New York City is also more "life-like" compared to previous games in the series: vendors sell donuts, NPC pedestrians talk rather than simply grunting and screaming, and numerous side jobs (such as taxi driving and car towing) are available. Several things have changed in the game from real-life New York, for example, New York Police Department has simply been dubbed into "City Police". However, the game completely lacks any kind of weather. The only atmospheric changes are the day-to-night cycle.

In 1978, the World Trade Center complex is present, along with New York City's many other landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Times Square, Central Park and the Flatiron Building, in both 1978 and 2006. Furthermore, despite not being built until the 1980s, the World Financial Center is present in both eras opposite the World Trade Center. In Brooklyn, the player can visit Coney Island. Downtown Brooklyn is also present but not accurate to its real-life counter part. The game features all of New York City's major bridges except the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, the Whitestone Bridge, the Hell Gate Bridge, and the Throgs Neck Bridge. The player can traverse these bridges freely from the start. An elevated portion of the New York City Subway that runs from Manhattan to Coney Island is part of the game world, but the subway system is not accessible to the player as a means of transportation; although trains do run on the above ground railway system.
Vehicles

Both eras included in the game have distinct styles of vehicles, although a few of the 1978-era cars do show up in 2006, and the cars from 2006 can show up in 1978 by using the all cars cheat code, however all cars in from 1978 are all accessible in shop in 2006. Although based on real automobiles, all vehicles in the game are fictitious, and are given fictitious names.

New to the Driver franchise is the ability to customize, or mod, the player's vehicle. Each vehicle can be upgraded numerous ways in Ray's Garage. Upgrades include custom body and paint jobs, although they are preset, increased engine power, nitrous boosters, bulletproof glass, window film and tunable springs, shocks, ride height, brakes, neon lighting, and downforce. A test track is available to "try out" the upgraded vehicles and making any necessary adjustments.But the upgrades are 10x more expensive in the new era.
Story

The game follows 18-year-old TK, coincidentally referred to as "The Kid", who works as a getaway driver for a New York crime ring in 1978. His childhood friend Ray introduces him to Slink, whom he does low-level work for. He is then introduced to two other prominent gangsters, "The Mexican" and Bishop. Bishop hatches a plan to break an associate, Candy, out of Rikers Island Prison, which TK successfully carries out.

The gangsters form a collective, composed of TK, Slink, Bishop, The Mexican and Candy and led by a corrupt undercover detective, Corrigan. Corrigan's organization wishes to start distributing cocaine in New York City, but a prominent Colombian drug lord Rafael Martinez already has a foothold, so Corrigan plans to have Martinez kidnapped. After Martinez's kidnap and receipt of his ransom money, Corrigan changes the plan and shoots Martinez dead. Figuring that TK is insignificant, Corrigan shoots him at the same time and leaves him to be framed and charged with kidnap and murder. TK is sentenced to 28 years at Sing-Sing.

While at Sing-Sing, TK plans vengeance upon each of the men who betrayed him. He is released in 2006 aged 46 and, with Ray's help, immediately tracks down and kills The Mexican, now a lowly alcoholic hoodrat who works at an arcade. His corpse is thrown out onto the street from TK's car, in front of Corrigan, now the Commissioner of the NYPD, who immediately recognizes him. Afterwards, he meets Maria, an ally of Candy, who is now a wealthy and prominent gangster. TK does jobs for Maria in the hope of reaching him.

After destroying Slink's pornography and drugs outlets, TK kills Slink in a car-chase. For Bishop, who is now a drugs kingpin, TK disrupts his smuggling operation. Bishop phones TK and offers him a chance to duel one-on-one, but turns up in an army tank armed with explosives. TK succeeds in blowing up the tank and killing Bishop. While on a job for Maria, TK finally gets to meet Candy, but he is quickly apprehended by Candy's henchmen and drugged. TK manages to break free however and kills Candy in a car-chase.

Corrigan then turns up at Ray's garage in Hunt's Point. He reveals that Ray has been working for him, to help TK inadvertently erase all of Corrigan's connections to the 1978 kidnapping, in exchange for money. Corrigan then kills Ray and tries to shoot TK, but TK is saved by Maria who turns up armed. Corrigan escapes and Maria reveals she is actually the daughter of Rafael Martinez, the man Corrigan killed in 1978.

They put a Cop Car with Candy's body in his parking space, blow up his office, Put Slink's body in the trunk of his limo and kill his body guards (Who tried to kill TK before, once with a car bomb in front of Ray's, another with an ambush at the start of Ram Raider. Another ambush for a job with Maria, and when TK tried to escape with Bishop's shipment of rocket launchers.) Maria tells TK that Corrigan is in Witness Protection. TK kills more bodyguards but Corrigan escapes by helicopter. After blowing up a tunnel with TK in it (TK narrowly escaping) he shoots down the chopper. Corrigan survives, but after a while he gives Corrigan to Maria, who wants more revenge than TK.

Spider-Man 3 is an action game loosely based on the Spider-Man 3 film and released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Wii, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, Microsoft Windows and Game Boy Advance. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions were developed by Treyarch, the PC version by Beenox while the other versions were developed by Vicarious Visions. It was released May 4, 2007.

The game's plot expands on the film by including additional characters and elements from the Spider-Man comics and the Marvel Universe. Depending on the platform, different villains from the comics are featured, but all versions of the game feature the film's main villains: Venom, New Goblin, and Sandman.

STORY(PC VERSION):-
The game starts off as Peter Parker (a.k.a. Spider-Man) swings into a burning building. He defeats the bombers of the building and saves a woman from being killed. It then skips to the next day. His former best friend Harry Osborn does not talk to him anymore and he has a new rival in the Daily Bugle: Eddie Brock. Meanwhile, an escaped convict Flint Marko falls into a lab pit and turns into sand. A small meteor crashes, with a symbiote inside.

Spider-Man takes Mary Jane Watson, his girlfriend, on a thrill ride, and after that, talks about Harry. Mary Jane comforts him; while talking, the symbiote attaches to Peter's shoe. Meanwhile, Harry comes out of a chamber in the Green Goblin lair, filled with Goblin gas.

After visiting his science teacher Dr. Connors, who turned into the Lizard by performing a experiment on himself to grow a new arm. The Lizard then turns other people into lizards, then escapes into the sewers, Spider Man then follows and defeats the Lizard, turning Connors back to himself. Harry (now the New Goblin) attacks Peter. They go on a high-fly battle on New Goblin's glider, but Goblin is defeated and knocked unconscious. Peter brings New Goblin to the hospital, where he will be treated.

Rumors where spreading that numerous gangs (Waste Tribe, Dragon Tails, H-Bombers, and the Apocalypse) are threatening the city to death. After Spider-Man foils all of their plans, he went to another mission of the H-Bomber gang which was posibbly kiddnapping J. Jonah Jameson and killing him by Carlyle.

Spider-Man then visits a abandoned Laboratory where a doctor attempts to kill a person (Mac Gargan but while testing him she accidentally turned him into the Scorpion.

Spider-Man goes to the city to chase and battle Scorpion to the city and then goes to sleep due to a very tiring day.

During his sleep, the symbiote consumes Peter, leading Peter to have a new jet-black suit. The new symbiote suit makes him stronger, more agile, and more aggressive. Marko, now the Sandman, recently robbed a bank, and is headed for the subways. Spider-Man pursues him, and eventually defeats him, washing him away in a sewer line.

Brock and Peter both are given an assignment by their boss, J. Jonah Jameson: catch Spider-Man robbing something, and the one who does gets a promotion. Brock attempts to cheat by paying someone to pose as Spider-Man. The real Spider-Man appears, now influenced by the black suit, breaks Brock's camera and punches him. Brock tells him that he has many more cameras, and automatically photographs Spider-Man punching him. Spider-Man is able to recover the cameras and Brock swears revenge.

Peter gives Mary Jane a ride back to her apartment after a horrible date, where under the influence of the black suit, he alienates her. After acting too bossy and asking her to shut up, she decides to call off the relationship, which saddens Peter. Peter decides to go to a church, where he attempts to remove the symbiote suit, and successfully releases its bond to him. Unfortunately, Brock secretly finds and watches Peter unmask himself, and attaches to the symbiote, becoming Venom.

Brock finds a still-alive Sandman, and blackmails him to work together to defeat Spider-Man, or he will kill Sandman's daughter, Penny. Sandman eventually agrees. They kidnap MJ, so Peter suits up again in the red suit as Spider-Man. He goes to the construction site where Venom and Sandman are holding MJ captive in a taxi. He fights Venom and Sandman while Harry, recovered from his head injury, decides to help Peter rescue MJ as the New Goblin. Harry arrives and rescues MJ, and fights a giant Sandman which he defeats. Harry attempts to help Spider-Man fight Venom, but is killed in the process. Peter eventually defeats Venom by weakening him with sonic vibrations then dropping the two of them off a building. He survives as Venom is impaled by a steel bar.

Peter mends his relationship with MJ, and Sandman, still alive, is reunited with Penny, who has just been rescued by police.

The game retains many of the gameplay elements from the previous game. Among the holdovers from the previous game is the freely explorable Manhattan map, which is larger in area than the one in Spider-Man 2. There have been various changes to the movement and combat system, including the usage of motion sensitive controls on the Wii version. The Nintendo DS version's combat system is entirely operated using the DS's touch screen - the d-pad is only used for moving Spider-Man. Players are also now able to interact at certain points during some cutscenes. Another prominent feature is the ability to play as the black-suited Spider-Man from the film, which allows access to new attacks and special "Rage" moves.

Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360:-

The Treyarch-developed Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC versions differ from the versions developed by Vicarious Visions in that initially players cannot change into the black suit at will. Instead, players change into the Black Suit at a certain point in the storyline. Players are also able to swing freely and enter the Bugle for assignments like in the Spider-Man 2 game. Like many other PC games, the PC version can be modified, although few mods for this game have released. Scorpion, Rhino, Kingpin, and the Arsenic Candy gang are exclusive villains to this version.

Welcome to the crazy world of crash team racing! With its psychotic tracks, weapons and characters, you're setting yourself up for several hours of fun filled madness! Other than the adventure mode, you can also play the arcade, versus and my personal favorite, the battle mode where you're put in an arena full of weapons.

This mode also has a team battle option allowing for all sorts of diferent matchups. The game manages to maintain its cartoonish appeal while not shoving it down your throat at the same time. IGN Review

Though Vigil Games is currently busy working on a Warhammer 40,000 MMO, we in the PC world still get to enjoy its action title Darksiders. Originally released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in January 2010, the ensuing months have been spent getting it ready for the Windows crowd. So how did it turn out? Well, the game's still a lot of fun. It unfortunately has a few issues when it comes to video settings and cut scenes, but otherwise anyone looking for a polished, gory action-adventure experience should look no further.
Darksiders plays smoothly, looks sharp, sounds great, and provides about 15 hours of single-player content. There's lots of gear to collect, weapons to upgrade, combos to learn, and special items to find. There's a range of enemy-rich environments, puzzle dungeons and reasons to backtrack. All seems to be in order for a standout gaming experience, but I felt a few elements of the game limit the range of its entertainment value.
You play as War, one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. His power is known and he's treated with a certain sliver of respect by even the most powerful of dungeon bosses. Sure people want to kill you because they falsely think you screwed up the balance between Heaven and Hell and blew up all of humanity in the process, but they're still a little apprehensive when confronting you. It's empowering to have supreme beings spout their standard death threats without forgetting to properly address you as a Horseman. They're angry and they're arrogant enough to fight you, but that doesn't mean they won't recognize your status. War's actual personality, unfortunately, doesn't manage to match up with his reputation. He may not be a traditional heroic figure, but there's never a doubt that "hero" is the role he's meant to play here. Since he's the framed victim in a corrupt scandal, it's easy to identify with his desire for revenge and you don't exactly pity the throngs of demons he slices through.
As a result, he isn't particularly interesting to listen to, as he's portrayed as the stereotypical good guy -- a flat role for such a figure. You'll chuckle from time to time as his bluntness in conversation blasts aside any mists of uncertainty surrounding his intentions, but mostly you're going to want to get back to battle. In combat he will rip enemies apart, tear off their heads, impale them on his sword, slice them in half, smash them senseless and pull out their hearts. Blood spills all over, and thanks to some slick animations, every slice, thud and smack feels like it has an impact.
Like in God of War, when you do enough damage to a foe a input prompt will pop up over their head. You hit the button and it kills the enemy. The difference in Darksiders is that there aren't any quick-time event (QTE) sequences following the input of the kill command, something I think anyone else who thinks QTEs are overused will appreciate. If it's a common foe it'll be an animation specific to the enemy type, and if it's a boss of the mini or final variety, it'll be something more elaborate and brutal. In this way, you get a nice reward for successfully utilizing the combat system, which, as it turns out, isn't very difficult to do.
Veteran gamers will want to crank the difficulty on this game. The fighting here is far from Devil May Cry complex and encounters don't feel as challenging as God of War. The command input system doesn't require any kind of supercharged reflexes. It's slow, methodical and forgiving, so chaining attacks can be done even by those who've never played an action game before. You move through the game and will eventually unlock two weapons to complement your sword, a massive scythe and a hulking gauntlet that can be easily mixed in with your standard combos. There are slight differences in feel between the weapon styles, so it's a nice change if you're tired of your sword combos and the same easy combat is in place across all three weapon types. Though it's not built for the hardcore action gamer and its limited nature will become apparent well before the end of the game, it's still entirely functional, entertaining and a joy to watch because the animations are so smooth. For controls, this is not an experience that feels especially comfortable with the mouse and keyboard. If that is your only option then it's entirely workable, however. You can move War around with WASD and tap nearby keys to dash and activate special powers, using the mouse to adjust the camera and attack. If you don't like how the commands are mapped to keys by default you can thankfully swap things around. I'd definitely recommend doing this if you're planning on playing this way, especially with regard to the dodge command tied to the left Alt key which felt awkward even after a couple hours of play.
A gamepad is definitely the way to go. The dual thumbstick setup on something like the Xbox 360 gamepad makes movement and combat feel much more natural. It also makes menu navigation a little easier, since the map, equip screen, and all the rest have remained intact from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. They can be navigated with mouse clicks, but it just makes more sense to use gamepad buttons to flip between tabs and highlight the giant icons. The ability to swap between keyboard and gamepad on the fly would have been a welcome addition here, but as is, the game needs to be restarted to switch input methods.
While moving through the game, war will come across puzzle dungeons from time to time, and within each is buried a gear or weapon item that allows more to be explored and ultimately access to a boss chamber. Like in Zelda titles you'll find dungeon maps, treasure chest locators, keys to open specific doors and bombs to blow up red crystal walls. You'll use your Abyssal Chain (hookshot) to cross chasms, use your Crossblade (boomerang) to tag multiple targets and transfer fire onto explosives to arm them, or to activate crystals. Throughout Darksiders you'll see influences from other titles like Halo 3 as War grabs heavy, fantastical versions of Bungie's turret guns, Portal, and, strangely enough, Panzer Dragoon. You get a horse named Ruin that War can ride around in larger spaces and swat at enemies with his sword, and the sprint mechanic is the same as Ocarina of Time, only it uses little energy pellets instead of carrots. You even get the equivalent of milk jars to store powerups for use in the field. The good news is that the recycled mechanics are still fun to toy around with, particularly when fused with the combat system.
Darksiders has, after all, the benefit of including elements of some of the best games ever made, and it's a new property with high production values, which is certainly something we all like to see. Its gameplay can't really be described as original, but the fact that the majority of its mechanics are already proven to work and implemented well means there's certainly entertainment to be had here. If anyone reading this has not played Ocarina of Time before (which you should), then you'll have a great time with this game. The introduction of new gear, challenges, and enemy types are set before you at a measured pace that keeps you hooked and piles more layers on the gameplay. Even so, some aspects don't hook together as snugly as I would have liked. This is a post-apocalyptic setting, and the world feels just as dead as you might expect to be. Those that walk the surface are demons and monsters, which makes sense within the fictional confines of the game world, but overall the game fails to generate any kind of powerful feel or sense of wonder. Each of the various zones are more distinguished by their visual style (the grassy area, the spider area, the graveyard area, the cathedral area) than by any particular mood or notion of hidden, awe-inspiring, or otherwise interesting bits of civilization.
There are exceptions, notably those who keep the game's giant sand worms captive, the walking doors, and a brief trip to another dimension. While playing through Darksiders I just couldn't help but wish there was more of this type of thing. I wanted to talk to more characters and get a better sense of how this decimated world was responding to the cataclysm, how it was being shaped and rising up out of devastation. There are flashes of personality, specifically the massive, hammer-wielding Ulthane and a bizarre skeleton with a cane and an accent, but much of the rest of the game feels dry and dull, even with an art style so cohesive and such pretty visuals.

The gear you find across all these locations is worked effectively into the fabric of the gameplay and that makes up for the shortcomings of character to some degree. Some pieces are useful throughout the experience such as the Crossblade and Abyssal Chain, but other elements like the time-slowing, block pushing, and platforming are built in without any especially creative applications. While a few of the puzzles will provide a challenge to most gamers out there, there's nothing overly complicated to speak of. As long as you remain aware of your abilities, the solutions are mostly straightforward, and don't really get interesting until the final dungeon. Specifically, this means if you see a red crystal wall, you're going to need to blow it up with a bomb, which will invariably be nearby. Sometimes you need to transfer fire with your Crossblade to ignite the bomb, and sometimes the bomb is on a timer, and in pretty much all cases it's fairly clear what needs to be done.
Somebody looking for an ultimate test of logistical reasoning and spatial awareness isn't going to find it here. If, on the other hand, you're just looking for a more readily playable experience where you won't be stumped by some kind of insane, illogical mess of puzzle strings, then you're going to like this product. This slant on design meshes in the ease of combat as well, catering to those players who don't want their game to be rigidly unforgiving, but prefer ease of playability and a gentle difficulty curve. Boss battles are more of an issue. The conventional wisdom is that the further you progress into a game, the harder these encounters become. That's not the case here, even against titanic, towering demons. The actual fights are simpler than most of the challenges you just hopped through to get there. It makes for an anticlimactic experience in every dungeon. You're expecting the ultimate test of your skills but given a challenge on par with a standard enemy group encounter. It's something I think anyone who plays this game will find to be disappointing.
While the underdeveloped world and boss fights are the low points for Vigil's game, it's still an easy one to enjoy. The souls you reap from fallen enemies can be turned in at vendors for a range of weapon and ability upgrades, and if you're obsessive about finding treasure chests you'll find reasons to traipse back across old ground to boost your various meters, find new weapon attachments, and try to cobble together an ultimate armor set. All the action is well-presented, with a familiar lock-on targeting system that keeps enemies in view to prevent combat from stumbling into the realm of the incomprehensible, though it would have been nice to see more variety amongst the grunt enemy population, or at least enemies that required more significant variation of fighting styles to take down.
More of Darksiders' appeal can be attributed to the coherent and colorful art style. The bosses and stages are impressively built, and you're treated to some flashy effects like the inky sweep of War's glider wings, the lines of energy that follow his weapon movements, and the mesmerizing flow of the animations. Darksiders' visuals on consoles were already outstanding and are especially pretty on a powerful PC. It's too bad, then, that there are so very few customization options for tweaking the graphics. In the menu all you can do is set resolution and vertical sync, which really doesn't meet the standard of what people expect from PC titles.
Most PC gamers will know additional settings can be fiddled with in their video card's options menu, but it's expected to have additional tweaking options built into the game. What's more of an issue are the blurry cut-scenes, which mar what's otherwise sharp graphics and well-realized at style that looks great at 1920 x 1200 resolution. The voice acting is forgettable, with most characters speaking with the types of roars and gruffness you'd expect from towering demonic beings. The real standout is Mark Hamill's raspy Watcher, who also happens to have by far the most interesting role in the game... except for that skeleton guy with the cane, of course.

CLOSING COMMENTS
Darksiders isn’t the type of title that often appears on PC, and for that reason alone it's worth a look. Vigil’s culled popular gameplay mechanics and puzzle elements from a variety of different titles and effectively combined them to create something with entertaining combat, rewarding exploration, and a satisfying progression as you uncover new items and abilities. A little bit more in terms of the video customization options would have been appreciated, and the blurry cut-scenes can be annoying considering how often they appear, but that shouldn’t deter you from checking this out if you missed it on consoles.

The Quake 4 single player mode continues the story of Quake II by pitting the player against a cyborg alien race known as the Strogg. The game follows the story of a marine named Matthew Kane who is a member of the fabled Rhino Squad. Following the success of the protagonist of Quake II in destroying the Strogg's leader, the Makron, the Rhinos are tasked with spearheading the mission to finally secure the aliens' home planet Stroggos. In the course of the invasion, the squad ship is shot down and crashes in the middle of a battle zone, separating Kane from his companions. Kane eventually rejoins his scattered team members and partakes in the assault against the Strogg.

After performing a number of tasks, such as destroying and capturing Strogg aircraft hangars and defense systems, Kane and his remaining squad members make it to the USS Hannibal. There they are given their next mission: infiltrating one of the Strogg's central communication hubs, the Tetranode, with an electromagnetic pulse bomb in the hope that it will put the main Strogg Nexus in disarray. Kane is tasked with defending the mission convoy, which takes heavy casualties. After many setbacks, including the destruction of the EMP device by a Strogg ambush, Kane is left to complete the mission, assisted only by Private Johann Strauss and Lance Corporal Nikolai "Sledge" Slidjonovitch. Strauss figures out a way to destroy the core by shutting down its coolant systems. As Kane reaches the entrance to the Tetranode, however, he is greeted by two rocket-equipped network guardians - as well as the newly constructed Makron. The Makron easily defeats Kane and knocks him unconscious.

When Kane finally awakens, he finds himself strapped to a conveyor belt in the Strogg "Medical Facilities", a structure used for turning those captured and killed by the aliens either into protein food or additional Strogg units. In a long and gruesome first-person cutscene, Kane is taken through this stroggification process which violently replaces much of his anatomy with bio-mechanical parts. Before the final controlling neurochip implanted in his brain can be activated, though, Rhino Squad bursts into the facility and rescues Kane. After escaping through the Strogg medical facility and Waste Disposal plant, fighting off zombie-like half-stroggified humans along the way, Kane is forced to combat his former commander, Lieutenant Voss, who has been fully stroggified into a powerful mechanized monster. (Voss nevertheless retains his own consciousness long enough to warn Kane.) After defeating this threat, Kane and the remaining marines finally make it back to the Hannibal.

The commanders realize that Kane's Strogg physiology has opened up new possibilities for defeating the Strogg, as he can be used to infiltrate locations previously impenetrable to human forces. The new plan is to directly target the Strogg Nexus Core, a huge centralized brain-like structure which controls the alien forces. Rhino and Raven Squads are tasked with infiltrating the three data processing towers adjacent to the Nexus, a huge data storage and processing tower. There, they will deactivate the Nexus's shield and power up the teleporter used to access the Nexus and send Kane in. Once inside, Kane will travel to the center of the Nexus to destroy the Core Brain and its guardian.

After infiltrating the facility and realigning the data nodes powering the teleporter, and destroying its fearsome "Guardian" creature, Kane finally reaches the Nexus core. There he meets the Makron in a final showdown and kills it. This done, he destroys the Core and returns to the Hannibal. Celebrating with Rhino Squad afterward, Kane receives word that he has new orders.

Plot

The player arrives in Rockport City, driving a heavily tuned BMW M3 GTR. Following Mia Townsend (played by Josie Maran), the player proves his driving prowess as he is pursued by a veteran police officer named Sergeant Cross (played by Dean McKenzie), who vows to take down the player and end street racing in Rockport.[3] Races seem to be in the player's favor until a particular group of racers, led by the game's antagonist, Clarence "Razor" Callahan (played by Derek Hamilton), sabotages and win the player's car in a race.[4][5] Without a car to escape in, the player is arrested by Cross, but is later released due to lack of evidence.[6] Mia picks up the player and then informs the player about Razor's new status on the Blacklist, a group of 15 drivers most wanted by the Rockport Police Department. She then helps by assisting the player in acquiring a new car and working his way up the Blacklist. Rivals, including Sonny, Taz, Vic, Izzy, Big Lou, Baron, Earl, Jewels, Kaze, Ming, Webster, J.V., Ronnie, Bull, and Razor, are defeated one by one, and the player is rewarded with reputation, new rides, and ride improvements with every Blacklist member taken down. As new boroughs are opened up throughout Rockport (Rosewood, Camden Beach, and Downtown Rockport), Mia also sets up safehouses for the player to lie low in, in exchange for placement of "side bets" on the player's races.

The final challenge for the #1 spot on the Blacklist puts the player in a race against Razor, with the player emerging as the victor, thus reclaiming the BMW. When Razor refuses to relinquish ownership of the car and attacks Mia after she confiscates the keys from Razor, she subdues him, while revealing herself to be an Undercover Cop. Mia throws the keys to the player, and tells him to escape the incoming police force. Razor is taken into custody and the player is pursued by the entire Rockport Police Department under the command of Cross.[7]

The player manages to slip away from Cross and the cops and abandons Rockport City by launching the BMW over an old broken bridge pointed out by Mia that was previously locked. The location of the broken bridge is a road leading west out of Rosewood District. [8] Cross hits the brakes in the last moment saving himself and few officers from falling from the bridge, but the other police cars fail to stop and fall off the bridge. After the player's escape, Cross brings up the player's rap sheet and adds him to the National Most Wanted List. In addition to Razor, the entire Blacklist is arrested with the "help" of the player.[9]

Need for Speed: Carbon's storyline is a sequel set at an undetermined time after the events in Most Wanted.

Gameplay

Most Wanted, like other Need for Speed games, is essentially a driving and racing game, where the player selects one car and races against a time limit or other racers to reach a destination. Police chases have once again been integrated into certain racing sessions, in which the police employ vehicles and tactics to stop the player's car and arrest the player, like Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, and Need for Speed: Carbon. As players take control of faster cars and increasingly rely on nitrous oxide speed boosts, the oxide meter now refills automatically for the first time since its introduction in Underground, and driving sequences become fast-paced and intense similar to the Burnout series.

Three distinct regions are offered in the city of Rockport, along with cycling weather. Racing events take place between sunrise and sunset, unlike in the Underground where the events took place at night. A Grand Theft Auto-like Free Roam mode is provided as in Need for Speed: Underground 2, but is still limited to Career mode, as well as pursuit-based events in other modes.

Brand promotion from Underground 2 still continues strongly, with the removal of Best Buy, Old Spice and the entry of Burger King restaurants, Castrol oil, Axe Unlimited and Edge shaving gel. The Cingular logo is still visible in the game's wireless communication system. Performance, body and visual parts that can be bought in the game are also from real life companies.

Modes

The game provides players with three game modes. The Quick Race mode allows the player to select a car and an event and immediately start racing. The available cars and events are unlocked as the player progresses through the storyline in the Career mode. Achieving goals by winning races and performing a number of actions, dubbed "Milestones", during police pursuits, as well as a minimum Bounty are needed to advance in the storyline and race against any of the mode's 15 Blacklist racers. In the Xbox 360 version, the player is awarded with Achievement Points each time a Blacklist opponent is defeated. Career mode introduces a new feature - the ability to win a Blacklist opponent's car ("pink slip"), bonus functions, extra cash or car parts and decors, after defeating the opponent in question. These come in the form of six markers - the rival's pink slip (which is concealed as a bonus marker), two bonus function markers, and three custom backroom parts markers of which there is a body part, visual upgrade, and performance marker ("Junkman Marker") that the player can select - of which the player can choose only two. New cars and parts are also unlocked as the player progresses through Career mode by beating Blacklist racers.

In addition to the Quick Race and Career modes, there is also a "Challenge Series" mode involving 69 progressively difficult challenges where players are required to successfully complete Tollbooth races and pursuit challenges, such as tagging a number of police cars. The pre-tuned cars used in each Challenge is fixed, ranging from mostly Career cars with poor handling to traffic vehicles such as a dump truck or police cars. Additional bonus cars may be unlocked as the player progresses through Challenge mode.

In terms of actual variations of races, Most Wanted inherits several racing modes prevalent in its Underground predecessors. The game's four existing modes: Circuit races, point-to-point Sprint races, lap knockout races and Drag races, remain largely unchanged since the first iteration of Underground, while Drifting, Street X, Underground Racing League tournaments and Outrun racing are removed. Meanwhile, Most Wanted sees the introduction of two new racing variations, which places emphasis on speed. The first mode is known as "Tollbooth," where a player races alone to designated checkpoints along a point-to-point route before time runs out; the more time a player has as they reach a toll booth, the more time they have to arrive at the next one. The second mode, dubbed "Speedtrap", sees racers competing with each other to get the highest accumulated speed record at multiple traffic cameras. Shaolin Monks is an action-adventure game that spans the events of Mortal Kombat II, starting with the aftermath of the first Mortal Kombat. The game centers on two members of the Shaolin Order, Liu Kang and Kung Lao, as they travel through the realms in an attempt to thwart Shang Tsung's plans to dominate Earthrealm.

The battle raged furiously on Shang Tsung's island fortress in the Lost Sea, as the sorcerer watches from his throne. The Shaolin monk Liu Kang defeats Shang Tsung, and the giant Goro comes to his defense. With Goro distracting everyone else, Shang Tsung creates a portal to Outworld and retreats. Raiden appears afterwards and warns the remaining fighters to get off the island palace because it is collapsing into the sea.

Everyone, except Liu Kang and Kung Lao, evacuates and escape back to the Wu Shi Academy. Liu Kang and Kung Lao, however, have to fight their way to another portal to get to Wushi Academy. Upon arrival, they meet Baraka and the Tarkatan attacking the Wu Shi Academy. The Tarkatans are defeated, but Baraka captures Sonya Blade. Raiden confirms that Shang Tsung is trying to lure Liu Kang and his allies to Outworld where he can order his henchmen to attack them and bide his time for power. If successful, Shang Tsung will conquer Earth without winning a Mortal Kombat tournament, which is cheating.

The Shaolin Monks, Liu Kang and Kung Lao, journey through the nightmarish realm of Outworld to stop the sorcerer's plot. They are guided by Raiden and assisted by Johnny Cage. Throughout their journeys, they are joined by a mysterious princess named Kitana, meet familiar foes and eventually save Sonya and stop Shang Tsung. But the sorcerer is not the only person who wants Earth; the Emperor of Outworld, Shao Kahn, wants Earth for his realm and he will stop at nothing until he gets it.
