Good morning, friends! I'm hoping you all enjoyed the weekend and enjoyed the warm temps on Saturday! Where did Winter go?! (not complaining!)

The hubby and I worked hard this weekend, with bathroom and bedroom remodels happening simultaneously in my hacienda - we're beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm really looking forward to the finished products.

I try to be consistent with picking up my camera, at least once a day, to capture a moment, or simply to play and learn. I especially love photographing my family and my rambunctious pup, Enzo. Here are just a few shots of moments on Sunday.

What a dream vacation! My hubby and I opted to splurge for our 50th birthdays.

We flew to Venice and spent some time there before boarding the Norwegian Jade and sailing away to

Santorini, Corfu, Mykonos, and Katakolo Greece.

Santorini has been on my bucket list for places to travel to, so

this was a dream come true.

Truly an unforgettable getaway.

Top-notch entertainment on Deck 7, Norwegian Jade.

First stop, Corfu, Greece. Bells atop a monastery.

This beautiful courtyard reminded me of the grandmother's home in "An Affair to Remember."

And of course, door obsession satisfaction...

Women are not allowed into the church with bare shoulders and shorts...they are offered scarves and skirts to cover up. :)

It was such a joy to create this nautical-themed baby shower for a client in NYC this past weekend. Here are just a few of the highlights. I took the pics before the gorgeous nautical cake was placed front and center on the "boat" table. My hubby and I made the boat facade and pier. It turned out just perfect! The pics are not the best, but either way----Enjoy and welcome aboard!

DIY Mercury Bun-Bun

I'm obsessed with all the beautiful mercury glass home accessories. Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware always have great mercury "whozits and whatzits galore!" But let's face it - we don't always want to break our banks for all the cutesie lil' things.

Spring is just around the corner, and I thought I'd try a super easy and fun project. My daughter loves bunnies; I found this lil' guy at a thrift store for a whopping $1.00. Yeah, baby. Thrift stores are packed with a bunch of spring and Easter items around this time of year.

Anyhoo, honestly, I wasn't a fan of the brown color on my bun-bun, so I thought he was the perfect candidate for a mercury glass transformation!

And here he is...sportin' a new and updated look! Cuteness!

My weekend project... upscaling and repurposing an antique gun cabinet and reorganizing my computer room (aka Kat Zemtsova's room!). I really liked the cabinet's original look, but I'm enamored white shabby chic-ness juuuust a bit more smile emoticon. Here's a before and after pic, and some of the items/antiques I filled it with.

Glass apothecary jars...perfect for displaying a collection.

Among many of my old books, an 1893 Webster's pocket dictionary. Wow --- 45, 800 words. :)

Ringing in the New Year, in a Magical Way!

New Year's eve is always extra exciting and special to us since it's my youngest daughter's birthday. This year, we celebrated her 21st birthday...still trying to let that sink in. I'm amazed at how quickly the years have passed...

I decorated for Chrissy's New Year's Eve Disneyland-Paris-Style bash and everything turned out perfectly! The cake was made by a sweet friend, Elena Franqui, owner of Cuppy Cakes. She's one of the most talented people i know.

I had this wire dress form from a previous event; I made the little "Minnie" skirt and tied a pretty satin sash around the waist. Well, hello, you gorgeous centerpiece, you.

Strawberries dipped in red chocolate with white polka dots...of course!

My Disney tablescape...lamp posts and little golden Eiffel Towers for a subtle representation of Disneyland Paris.

My birthday girl...

The amazing, magical cake. Perfection.

The cake stand is an old wooden box I found at an antique shop. I finished it off with gold paint.

The mirrors I used for the cake pops are approximately 20 years old;

I'm so glad I kept them in my stash!

Presentation is everything...as are details.

You can't have a New Year's Eve party without some sparkle...

The favors I made were little golden boxes with white chocolate-covered pretzels.

I'm super happy about how my cake pops turned out; these were not easy for me to make since it was my very first attempt. Hats off to all you amazing baking artists out there!

The Mickey silhouettes were made from edible fondant.

Xavier's "Little Rascals" Styled Sleigh Rides!

First-ly, How perfect is this backdrop? Ok...are you ready for this? I used either discarded items (like the pallet/skid) or old things I had - yes, in my millions! Shocker, eh? :) So my cost for this project was a beautiful $0.00!!!

I made the "Sleigh Rides" sign with a scrap piece of plywood - stained it with antiquing stain, then scribbled the text with a chalk marker.

The little "Open" sign was made with a leftover piece of barbecue wood boards. Prepped it the same way as the "sleigh rides" sign.

The stand was made by pulling apart 4 of the pieces of wood on one side of the skid, and just hammering it together. Raw and super rustic was the look I was after for this photo shoot. The age and wear of the wood was beyond perfect.

And little Xavier loved the set...as did my cutesy pup, Enzo.

Itty Bitty Boho Chic - Baby Mila

I loved styling this shoot and photographing precious baby Mila!

I made this beautiful shabby-boho teepee using old curtain rods (found in the millions in my basement!), some old fabric panels (I always save curtains - they come in handy for all sorts of projects!), and ribbon. The dream catcher was a $10 project, using a crochet ring, some feathers, old lace fabric, ribbons, and beads. I love how it all came together.

The deer antlers are from 1968. I bought it at an antique shop for only $3, and it still had the original hunting tag on it. They were perfect for this styled shoot.

The Wedding of Annabel & Felix - Pelham Country Club, Bronx, New York

I was beyond excited to photograph the wedding of Annbel & Felix on August 14th. Annabel is a council woman in New York, her personality is humble and sweet, while Felix is a very "hands-on" kinda guy; he pretty much coordinated much of his special day. What a great couple! I'm grateful for spending such a beautiful with this bride and groom!

I brought in some of my own authentic 1920's props for decor in the cocktail area, and created a seating chart on a 1920's antique mirror. Turned out beautiful!

I loved their Art Deco style!

Fari Blog-lift!

Yep...that's it...it's a "blog lift." Fari Blog is undergoing a blog-lift and I'm loving the new updated look. As you know, I love doing styled shoots, so I thought I'd compose my own header by gathering a bunch of my golden eye-candy yummies sitting at my "inspiration station," and couple them with some flowers - oh, and yes - a sacred and beloved cup of Bustelo coffee in one of my milk glass tea cups!

The rest of my blog-lift will be done soon...in the meantime, enjoy!

Assateague National Island Seashore

What a fun vacation with my family at beautiful Ocean City, MD, and Assateague National Island Seashore. If you're ever in the OCMD locale, Assateague is a must! It's a treat to see the wild horses roam the beach and island. I had planned a mini styled shoot with my girls, and hoped for horses somewhere in the background. But when we did the shoot, the gallopers opted to be elsewhere. Oh well, got some nice shots of my boho beach beauties!
