Jylle Navarro aw13 at cult mountain with My Bad Sister

2013-02-19T03:58:00.001+00:00

Jylle Navarro showcased her acid trippin’, knittin’ fluorescent alien aw 2013 vibrantly fun fuck you collection at Cult Mountain at 141 Bethnal Green Rd on Sunday 17/02/13 at 6pm …

It started off like gathering an electric mix of aliens from UFO’s onto the mountain of cult...apart from Jylles sister who contrasted Jylle off the entire Navarro...Anyhow the drinks were flowing, the music was glowing, the people were all chatting about MY BAD SISTER , because if you didn’t have one then we all do now, They are fantastic, They are an artist by the way, but you probably knew this already! So this peculiar, crooked reptile featured man by the name of BRUNO WIZARD took to the stage to introduce MY BAD SISTER, he went off on tangents and gave everyone a good furious seeing to. My Bad Sister appeared on stage and caused a riot and abduction ,singing songs about very naughty things whilst prancing about in JYLLE NAVARRO’s iconic new aw13 collection...

Claudia Ligari

Elanor Amoroso

If i had to pick a favorite i would go with Elanor Amoroso as i am a fan of long magical flowing things, i did also enjoy Claudia Ligari especially that caramel colored outfit, but just down to personal taste i love Elanor Amoroso...

It was a fantastic evening with lots of vodka drinking and mingling, a wonderful bunch of people and a lovely atmosphere.

SORAPOL SS13 - EUPHORIA

2012-10-22T00:16:00.001+01:00

video stolen from 55tv- you should subscribe to there youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/55tvc?feature=watch and the website for all things 55 http://55factory.net/tvhome1.php

The Sorapol show on friday was FANTASTIC -the best one so far....♥ The clothing was much more wearable yet really super fun and glamtastic..The show was extremely exciting, dramatic and filled with glittering hyper treats!...every time a model came down the catwalk you didn't know what the show had in-store for you next! ...

When i realised the show was in a carpark on the dodgey end of Peter St, soho it was brilliant, i love that sort of contrast. Entering to a trail of glitter on the runway with pumping music djed by Prince Persona before the show started was enough to keep guests amused as well as the amount of amazing faces around.

The show began with an interesting music mix by Jason Buckham which would be the soundtrack to the whole show...well almost. A roaring rock n roll motor bike vehicle slid around in the glittery catwalk and then the models came out. They had masks covering there faces and they way they appeared was more fun and theatrical than the usual bland-fashion-feet-runway- stomping-style crap! I cannot lie i may love this show even more because i am a massive fan of glitter, platforms, the pinks, purples, greens, blues, black- lots of colours, sequins, fringing glam rock-ness- Yes i was in wonderland!

...The show ended with a performance from the very glam Vince Kidd and it was wonderful indeed.

DANS LA VIE /RIRA SUGAWARA SS13 -MOVING PRINT BODIES

2012-09-14T13:03:00.000+01:00

Meow,

Popped on down to the Vauxhall Fashion Scout building to see the DANS LA VIE ss13 show = moving print bodies.

This is Rira Sugawaras fourth collection and third catwalk show!

The theme 'Moving Print Bodies' is development after two characteristic approaches of DAN LA VIE 'clash beauty' and Material Mode'.

The prints , the prints were beautiful Japanese typical icons Fujin (god of wind) , Raijin (god of thunder) and Ryujin (god of dragon) alongside some checker pattern which i also saw in the makeup and really loved the magical, alienish style effect it communicated to me. And i also enjoyed the colours and the silhouettes. Everything was very feminine but with a sort of out of worldly feel.

Sorry for my possessed crazy phone quality videos and pictures, my actual camera is a bit broken but i am going to try and use it later anyway :) .

just a small post...

SORAPOL AW 12/13 = IRON GRIP

2012-03-20T00:15:00.003+00:00

SORAPOL IRON GRIP AW 12/13

LOCATION- OLD VIC TUNNELS

Let me start with the fantastic location! - I never knew it existed and now i want to live there! outside there was SORAPOL street art by โอ๊ต มณเฑียร

- I was walking down through this mysterious tunnel and didn't notice the street art was SORAPOL-ized! until i was standing in the que outside these mysterious doors where the bouncers were standing. I just knew by the location something very distinguished would be awaiting.

When we were let in i was delighted by the big open space and the shabby characteristics of the place, there were free drinks of fruity ciders , and some interesting SORAPOL vodka based cocktails which were delightfully sweet :) As well as free drinks there were some exquisite snacks provided by ORA.

THE CLOTHES, THE CLOTHES, THE CLOTHES.

I don't think i can find any words at all to describe how astonishing this collection is. I really feel this show will go down in fashion history, It has to be the most creative, promising and unique collection that has come out of London for years to date. Coming down the runway there was everything from easily wearable to extremely avant-garde! The collection could not have been stronger.

EVERYTHING.EVERYTHING.EVERYTHING.

I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE OF THE SORAPOL SHOW, last time for the SS collection which you can find in the archives of this blog, i was helping out on the collection, so this time i got to see it from a totally different perspective, but as well as this i can see how much SORAPOL has improved and grown, and SORAPOL i can certainly say now is the one thing in fashion land that can save London from its fall of creativity.

100 DAYS OF ACTIVE RESISTANCE BOOK BY VIVIENNE WESTWOOD ANGLOMANIA & LEE JEANS

2011-10-27T14:21:00.001+01:00

'The principal idea of Active Resistance is that you get out of life what you put in and that real experience of the world involves thinking'

- Vivienne Westwood.

“It is not enough to follow world politics, see films and read the prize winning best seller. This is superficial, you need to go deep in order to understand who you are, what the world is and how things could be better. This involves culture which can only be acquired by self-education.”- Vivienne Westwood

100 Days of Active Resistance online installation was launched in 2010 which was a collabaration between Vivienne Westwood Aglomania and Lee Jeans. Focusing on the concept of Active Resistance. The aim was to encourage individuality and communication within today's youth. One image from submissions was shared online every day for 100 days with a new idea of active resistance. And now you can see it all in this book of amazing images. This is a very positive book and it's all about creating change and getting your voice heard.

The book priced at £25 and you can buy it from Vivienne Westwood stores in the uk and online at - www.viviennewestwood.co.uk, and in a selected number of book sellers world wide. It is published by Damiani, who are accredited with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) which ensures materials are sourced involving the best interests of the rainforest and environment.

All proceeds from the book sales will be donated to Cool Earth, the charity dedicated to saving the rainforest and stopping Climate change.

www.coolearth.org

These 100 ideas are more than just images they inspire thought and give hope to the possibility of collective change.

2011-09-22T14:05:00.002+01:00

A CHILD OF THE JAGO SS/2012

London Fashion Week 21/09/2011

So this was the most exciting of the whole of this fashion week-ness, in an appealing torn apart venue in east London, such a beautiful place, with the most beautiful looking unique audience, the shiny, glittery, golden catwalk and the free vodka before you saw the show- set the scene much more than waiting in a long que for an hour.

Then the show was fantastic, not overcrowded and the clothes caused a riot sensation in my mind of explosive amazingness, how i was looting every peice in my mind...
