Twitter was all a-buzz with talk of Chanel Air before their couture show, the talk of air hostesses serving drinks and a cloud painted ceiling was intriguing. The setting seemed less ostentatious than previous stages and it was the perfect backdrop for a lighter, pared back collection. Karl Lagerfeld might not be feeling blue but his collection was only blue, 150 different shades to be exact.

Wednesday Wish List: Aztec Prints

It’s time to step into Spring; the end of January is in sight and payday is just around the corner hurrah! A Galliano-shaped hole remains in the House of Dior and after last season's horrendous couture show, I think everyone was on the edge of their seats to see what would become of one of the most iconic of the couture houses. Bill Gaytten delved deep into the Dior archives, evident in the use of houndstooth, the "New Look silhouette, full skirts and just a dash of Dior drama. Dust off your finest gown and drop that gorgeous cocktail dress off at the dry-cleaners, it’s that time of year again – awards season! The awards season is definitely a marathon rather than a sprint, with the Globes, SAG, Oscars and BAFTAs coming up in short succession. All eyes are on the red carpet to dissect the attendees sartorial choice and decide whether they were a hit or miss. One of the most anticipated shows of this couture season, Atelier Versace returned to the couture week schedule after an eight year hiatus. It's fitting then that the super-brand had a star studded front row including Anna Dello Russo, Cameron Diaz and Diane Kruger to view the 15-piece collection modeled by the likes of Karlie Kloss, Lindsey Wixson, Karmen Pedaru and Arizona Muse.
