I'm sitting here typing this as I listen to Skrillex and my younger cousin lip syncs to it....it's really quite amusing and has probably made my day. Waiting out my day until I get to eat some tomato soup and grilled cheese later while baking cookies! I'm such a good mother to my boys on the tennis team. =]

Outfit of the day: High-waists and mustard

2011-10-01T16:14:00.000-07:00

Hello world! Fall has started to slowly creep up on San Diego but it is not enough to make me go put on all my scarves and coats quite yet. It is definitely still warm enough here to walk around in shorts all day, every day. This is probably why I decided to go to school here and live here afterwards too. I would write more but I am up to my eyes in job applications and other work I have to do. So toodles!

Outfit of the day: tennis skirts

(Shirt: c/o Mom, skirt: Wilson tennis skirt, shoes: H&M, watch: Michael Kors, purse: Alexander Wang)

It has been quite awhile since I've put up a blog post and I so apologize. I have just had kind of a lack of inspiration lately and I am now putting one up because my girlfriend told me I had to. So here we go! I went home for a couple of weeks in September to kind of relax and also help out my parents here and there with their business. While there, I found this old tennis skirt that my mom wore when she played tennis and it was perfect to turn into a pleated skirt! I can just wear it every day like it was made to be that way. Those old ladies back in the day knew what they were doing when they made these to be tennis skirts!

Outfit of the day: Funny Face

2011-09-01T21:59:00.000-07:00

(Dress: H&M, shoes: Franco Sarto, purse: Alexander Wang, watch: Michael Kors, sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs)

(I was really excited because Steven told me that my skin matched the walls...signifying that I had reached some form of tan over the past couple of weeks. Yes, I got excited. Don't judge me?)

Yayy!! So finally a new blog post, I have been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off lately (sorry for those vegetarian/vegan readers? It's a saying?). Finally though, I managed to come home at a time when both my roommate and I were at home. Took some quick photos before I was off to play some tennis! Clearly my roommate likes to take my pictures when I have the most awkward facial expressions. On the other hand, I am heading home this weekend for some family time with my friend Sam in an impromptu, quite the last minute trip. Oh and I'm sorry for the lack of creativity in my outfits these days. Black dresses are easy to throw on and look polished? Either way, I love the cut of this dress, although around the arms it is a little tight....just means I need to make that fat into muscle!!

Outfit of the day: Pannikin's

2011-08-21T19:24:00.000-07:00

Dress: Foreign Exchange, belt: thrifted, boots: Asos

This past week, I meant to get a blog post in but I was staying on campus for a week as a "counselor" and did not have much motivation for getting dressed in anything more than shorts and a tank. However, the week has passed and I went to brunch this morning with one of my good friends at Pannikin in Downtown La Jolla. It was delicious and I didn't have enough foresight to take pictures of my food before devouring it. I got this dress from Foreign Exchange the other day and it is by far one of my favorite new dresses! I have been looking for the perfect casual black dress for awhile and I think this would be it.

Outfit of the day: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

2011-08-15T21:01:00.000-07:00

(Dress: gift from my mother, shoes: Michael Kors, belt: thrifted, clutch: Coach)

Yesterday was my birthday and two of my BEST friends from college took me out to dinner at this cute place in downtown La Jolla called Barbarella. This dress was a gift from my mom awhile back and I haven't had a chance to wear so I thought it was a perfect dress to wear for dinner. After dinner, a friend and I were supposed to go bowling but that didn't go as planned and it ended up being a quiet night walking around town and just talking. Overall I had a great time and I am always forever grateful to all my friends for dealing with me despite knowing all my flaws and imperfections!

Another blog post! Whooo, look at me being all on top of my life...sorta. Anyhow, contrary to belief or the evidence of sun, it was actually quite cold that day. This is why I look like it's fall in San Diego and not summer. But it is okay, I kinda like the practice for fall?

(Top: c/o Mom...again)

Sorry for such a delayed outfit post. I have been absolutely swamped with stuff lately and I'm not even working...goodness what's wrong with this picture? But anyway, here is my latest outfit. It's pretty simple but I am in LOVE with this shirt and all the cute lacy details. Pretty much perfect for the SD summer don't you think? Oh and please excuse my vacant/makeup less face in the picture above. It was early in the morning and I wasn't fully awake yet...

Outfit of the day: Pleated

2011-07-15T23:43:00.000-07:00

Ring: YSL Arty Ring, bracelet: Betsey Johnson, watch: Michael Kors, sunglasses: vintage Dior

Shoes: Ann Taylor Loft, jacket/shirt/skirt: wholesale market, purse: Alexander Wang

Finally a new outfit post. I've been super busy in moving to a new place and trying to get settled and find a job and whatnot. Anywho, I don't know if you can really see the details, but I'm actually wearing a pleated skort. It's pretty much my new favorite thing EVER! I also wrote that I got my whole outfit from the wholesale market which is true. My mom runs her own boutique and she gets all the clothes from the wholesale market in LA and thanks to her I'm able to get all these boutique clothes at really cheap prices! Ooh, I also found these shoes that I bought in high school when I was back home and I re fell in love with them. How perfect are they? Oh and I cut my hair..hehe =] AND I got myself a little graduation gift in the form of this beautiful Rocco handbag from Alexander Wang. My new favorite thing in the whole wide world!

7 Summer Must-Haves

2011-07-08T00:38:00.000-07:00

Summer is in full swing now and the sun is shining hot and bright. If you're anything like us here at ZooShoo, summer is a chance to shed those spring layers and really experiment with light materials like chiffon and cotton. However, as much fun as experimenting is there are a few must-haves that every girl should have to jumpstart her summer wardrobe.

1. Sundress - A must-have in any girl's summer closet, the sundress is perfect for the hot weather and can also double as a cover up when you're heading to the beach. Choose one in either a print or a solid color and you can't go wrong!

2. Denim cutoffs - Shorts are the summer equivalent to the jeans that we virtually live in year round. Find the right pair and guaranteed you will live in them all summer.

3. Swimsuit - How could you spend summer without the perfect swim suit? Whether heading to the beach, the pool, or just hanging out in the backyard, throw on your favorite swimwear, get a little tan, but don't forget to put on your sunscreen!

4. Hat - This must-have summer essential can double as sun protection or a fashion statement. Pick out a cute fedora like the one above or if you're a little more adventurous, find a big floppy sun hat which will be sure to get you a few compliments.

5. Flat sandals - These are a must in every girl's closet because if you find the right pair, they can be so versatile and worn with almost every outfit. Additionally, they are sure to give your feet a little bit of rest from the high heels you've been bouncing around town in.

6. Sunglasses - Though an accessory, they are definitely an essential. There are so many options out there, so pick one in your favorite shape and walk out the door in confidence. Additionally, if you're not feeling the makeup one day, just throw on some shades and skip the beauty routine for a day.

7. Day-to-night wedges - For those of you who prefer a heel to the flat sandal, wedges are a perfect alternative. Definitely the comfiest in the world of heels, you will surely impress while staying comfy at the same time.
These Bamboo Besexy Wedges are a perfect choice. The leopard print will be sure to get everyone's attention and they can easily transition from day to night! You can also get in on another great trend and try to mix some prints with the great wedges!

Outfit of the day: Red shorts and crazy hair

2011-06-26T14:30:00.000-07:00

Shorts: Target, shoes: NYC Inc., tank: Urban Outfitters

Ring: YSL Arty Ring gifted

This was the day after graduation, with all my hair and makeup still partially intact. I was too tired to take it off the night before! I was being lazy? Sue me? I'm kidding, but don't judge me? Anyhow, at this point I don't even remember what I did the day after graduation but I do know I slept in until VERY late. Once again, being lazy. On a side note, I got this beautiful YSL Arty ring that I had been lusting over for ages as a graduation gift. I am sooo in love with it!! New favorite jewelry forever!! Well I still have tons of errands to run before my photographer runs off forever and I don't have anyone to help me move stuff anymore! Tootles!

I've done it guys!! Well I did about a week and a half ago but I still did it! I graduated from college and I couldn't have done it without all the support from my friends and family. I love them all so much! That chapter of my life has now closed but all the people who have influenced me and that I've met along the way are forever. I am so thankful for everyone who has been there to support me and really push me to do the best that I could. I can now just use those lessons learned to really make something of myself and go forth and make my dreams come true! Thank you!! But until then, time to find a job to fund my dream hunting! Tootles!

Outfit of the day: Out in the courtyard

2011-06-21T01:21:00.000-07:00

Sandals: Aldo, romper: Shopbop, vest: H&M

So it has been about a week after graduation and I finally found a place to live but not a place to work =[ Therefore, I'm doing my best to find a job and I am also made a commitment to myself to really start working out more often and eating more healthy. I also need to find myself a new photographer soon!! Mine is leaving =[ Oh nooo!! Sad day, oh well. I must also start making some preparations for this departure. I have a care package to put together!!

Outfit of the day: Meet me on the train tracks

2011-06-13T19:38:00.000-07:00

Sandals: Aldo, dress: Foreign Exchange, blazer: H&M, clutch: Aldo

These pictures were taken when I got back from visiting the cuz's in LA. We went to this great pizza place right next to the train station called Pizza Port. It has got to be one of the best pizza joints in town! Afterwards, we took a little stroll down to the train station where it was nice and scenic. This dress is a little dressier but if I put on a nice jacket over it, then it can substitute as just another LBD! I have finally graduated from college and am now on the perpetual job search that is real life. Wish me luck! I am off now to also find myself another apartment. Wheeeee!!

Outfit of the day: Wurtzkuche

2011-06-05T18:28:00.000-07:00

Dress: random boutique??, shirt: vendor on campus, shoes: Franco Sarto, belt: thrifted, clutch: Aldo

Yay for no eyes!! Whooooo

This was my outfit for my full day out in LA while visiting my cousins during their one weekend off...sorta. Either way, it was a fun time and I was able to relax some and just do some catching up that I hadn't done in a long time. These pictures were taken in Little Japan which according to my cousin is aka hipster town. We went there to eat at this whole in the wall joint called Wurtzkuche which sold something along the lines of "gourmet" hot dogs or really rad flavors if you will. For example, we got the alligator and pork hot dog...adventurous but not so much that I was going to get the rattlesnake one. That sounded kinda scary. But afterwards, I wanted to take some pictures in the surrounding area and then subsequently got locked out of the car. Therefore, while waiting for Triple A to come save us we took the time to take these, and by we I mean a laughing me, and a not so laughing/irritated but kinda humored? cousin.

Outfit of the day: Santa Monica

2011-05-31T09:38:00.000-07:00

Shoes: Franco Sarto, hat: gifted, shirt: Foreign Exchange, belt: ebay

This was our beautiful day in Santa Monica where I went and got the most beautiful skirt which I have yet to unwrap even from it's bag or better yet wear it. On the other hand, I did get a chance to wear this amazing sheer shirt that I bought awhile ago and haven't really had a chance to wear out. Some may say it's kind of scandalous but you know...I like it that way! (In the most innocent way possible, as in showing a little bit of my bra type thing...you know? Don't judge me?) Well anyway, I super like the back on this shirt and I've been living in these jeans because they're super comfy and I am a girl of comfort. Oh and I've spent a good portion of this weekend reading all of the Man Repeller's old posts. She cracks me up...I have not stopped laughing since I started reading. Well off to go pretend study for my finals! Tootles!

Outfit of the day: What a hippie poser

2011-05-27T20:00:00.000-07:00

Shirt: UO, blazer: H&M, shoes: Franco Sarto

Our friend, Mr. Poopy Squirrel

After my internship last week, we went out to downtown La Jolla to watch the sunset and just walk around. The weather was really nice and it was finally starting to feel like a Socal summer. We made friends with a nice little squirrel. He rolled around for us and ate the flowers that we gave him. His name is Mr. Poopy Squirrel. Don't ask...it just happened. School is coming to a close, next week is the last week of my undergrad career before finals and then graduation! Ahhhh....so crazy!! Mmm...but I am currently in LA visiting my cousins so I'm off now!

Outfit of the day: Blue stripes and denim

2011-05-18T15:00:00.000-07:00

(Dress: Forever21, denim shirt: Target, booties: Steven Madden via DSW, clutch: Aldo)

Faux fur vest: Michael Kors

My school is pretty hilly so wearing heels to school is not an option for me because I am all about comfort. However, I did wear my new Steve Madden booties to school because I figured I had to start somewhere. Super comfy...I think it was a good start. I could do this more often but you know...baby steps. I only started having a makeup routine. You can't expect me to go leaping through hardships! Well..I'm proud of myself at least. Don't judge me! Either way, this was the day before Sun God, a music festival held at our school every year. I watched them set up but unfortunately I have absolutely no pictures of myself on that day. The only ones are of me being tackled and/or flipped by my best friend. Oh well. It was a good day?

Outfit of the day: the real world

2011-05-16T13:16:00.000-07:00

Don't I look so professional? Hah...I started another internship last week and this was what I wore to the first day of work! I felt super old...it means that I'm starting to merge into the real world. It's kind of depressing. I will not be in college forever. I'm only 21 and it's just like my whole world is going downhill from here. Hehe i'm just kidding! I'm rather excited to go into the real world and feel all grown up. I think I've always been a bit older in soul than my real age. My mom even told me that I always dressed older for my age. Hrm..but now it's okay!!

Outfit of the day: Seaport Village

2011-05-15T15:47:00.000-07:00

Sweater/jacket/dress: all c/o of mom, clutch: Aldo, shoes: Steve Madden

After going to the airport to pick up the BF, it was such a nice day out that we decided to go to Seaport Village and be a little touristy. I hadn't been in awhile and it was just nice to be out and look at how pretty a place I live in. We had some appetizers during the happy hour and it was all fun. I've got to start appreciating all the things nearby that in all the 4 years of college I haven't explored yet. Ttfn, heading off to a grad bbq =]

Outfit of the day: Stroll in the park

2011-05-09T11:56:00.000-07:00

Blazer/skirt: Forever21, top: c/o mom!, clutch: Aldo, belt: thrifted

I hope everyone had a great weekend with their moms or if you're like me and live too far away, I hope you sent her something pretty. We took these pictures last week after a nice lunch date. I bought this blazer last week for some job interviews I had and I love the color and it is so comfy. It was definitely a good buy. It was absolutely gorgeous out but typical of San Diego's bipolar weather, it is once again foggy and gloomy. I guess I can't pack up all my winter wear. Starting to take down all my stuff off the walls of my room and wondering how to pack up all my stuff. It's really depressing and kinda stressful at the same time. Not to mention my allergies are going crazy and I constantly have tissues at the ready. Though it's one of my favorite times of the year, it's also one of my least favorite. Maybe the gloom will take away the pollen and dust or something.

Outfit of the day: Yellow flats

2011-05-07T14:50:00.000-07:00

(Flats: Francesca's, top: Forever21, dress/belt: c/o mom!)

I decided to be a little more girly than usual this day because I wanted to wear some color and these were the most colorful things I could find in my closet which I find slightly depressing but I'm working on it. It is spring and basically summer in San Diego so I am trying to find new ways to wear spring/summer clothing without wearing denim shorts every day! I'm starting to pack up all my stuff in my room now to find a new place to live after graduation. It's crazy...I started listening to Graduation by Vitamin C the other day and almost teared up! However, after grad another whole chapter of our life is going to open up and I am excited to see it in!

Outfit of the day: Stop hating on my turban!

2011-05-02T13:00:00.000-07:00

Booties: DSW, shorts: Hollister, shirt: random, turban/scarf: stolen from mom!

Took a little break from work the other day to go out with the BF and take these pictures. They were at this spot on campus in the International Center and it was so pretty there that I couldn't resist! Oh and I got these booties from DSW and they are so comfy and so perfect for some summer trekking around! Very Kate Hudson inspired. It's pretty much summer in San Diego now...I went kayaking at Mission Bay the other day for a friend's birthday. Yeah...I can do that and wear just a bikini and not be cold!!!!! It was pretty amazing. Not to mention, it was a great workout but it was still fun at the same time! I don't have any pictures because I forgot to take my camera but I wish I had. Well I'm off to continue applying for jobs and studying for midterms because you know...I'm going into the real world soon. EEk!
