A 60-minute facial, which includes $50 worth of products, at Fresh.

There are salons that people like, and there are salons that people don't. And then there are salons that we don't know much about, but that happen to be offering a good deal. More importantly, a good deal on a service that can't ruin your hair. The Upper East Side's Fine Artistik is doing blow-outs for just $25 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (all very respectable I-need-a-blow-out-for-tonight days) through November.

So what's the harm in trying? This could be an undiscovered gem.

Offers like these make me question how generous I really am. Give it away? Get it just for myself? Graceful Services' current special is just $120 for two hours of anything you want. Book what's basically two back-to-back lava stone massages (ahhh ...), or mix-and-match with an hour-long deep tissue massage and a 60-minute facial. Ever heard of the ancient Chinese therapy Gua Sha? We hadn't either, but it's when a bull's horn is rubbed along the spine and apparently it's divine.

Yup. I just found out that Barber Bart gives men a free haircut on their birthday. How nice is that.
