Paulina Porizkova Picks On 'America's Next Top Model'

It never seemed as though the bitter realities of life could hit reality television, but that's been proven wrong when judge Paulina Porizkova was fired from her job on America's Next Top Model. What's worse is that it happened on her birthday, which is certainly enough to make one vengeful. She spoke about her experience on a recent interview with TV Guide, and made headlines for pointing out what she really thought of the girls on the show.

Asked about the Cycle 12 finale, Paulina revealed what really happened. She didn't vote for the latest winner, Teyona Anderson, but for runner-up Allison Harvard. "Well, I'm not going to name names," the former America's Next Top Model judge announced. "But two of us voted for Allison and two of us voted for Teyona and one of us had to cross the line over to the other one."

Even so, the most controversial comment she gave was her reply to the question: Of the three finalists, who do you think is the most likely to have an actual modeling career? Paulina Porizkova went straight out and boldly answered: "None of them."

She followed up her statement and explained, "I'm really very sorry. But they're not models. Look at the history of Top Model. When has a winner not fallen down into that great big hole where the other sock goes? When? That's because you can't pick models from a TV show."

Paulina went on: "Those tall, long giraffe things that don't really look real are rare freaks of nature. And finding a freak of nature with a personality, that's like finding a double freak of nature. So you'd have a TV show once every 10 years."

Even though it sounds like Paulina Porizkova isn't grateful to America's Next Top Model, she clears things up by saying: "I don't think they meant anything ill [by firing] on my birthday. They just didn't check. They're not bad people by any means. None of them. Not Tyra. Not the producers. And I actually had a really good time with Nigel and Ms. Jay and Mr. Jay. It was great. It was a really fun job."

One thing that would make her tasks a lot easier is if host Tyra Banks managed to be punctual during filming. Paulina cited it as a reason why the network cut her and several others from the show. "Actually a lot of my friends from the show got booted, too," she revealed. "Makeup and hair people. And I shouldn't say this because this sounds bitter. But if Tyra came in on time, they would save somebody's salary. If she actually showed up on time for the judgings and they didn't have to pay a lot of overtime, they would save a lot of money."

Regarding her duties on the reality competition, Paulina assures the fans that plenty of guest judges might drop by once in a while. But she won't come back even if they asked her. "I think there's a little too much bad blood. I mean I don't wish them ill. But do I want them to blossom without me? No. I'm not going to lie."

Paulina even thought of giving advice to any aspiring Top Model contestants. "Go to Top Model only if you don't want to be a model," she began. "These girls want to be models so desperately. And the fact is the show is not even looking for fashion models. They're looking for personalities. It's a Cinderella story."

Jennifer Aniston insists she can't imagine life away from the limelight.

Jennifer Aniston explained: "Would I love a level of anonymity? Sure, there are times I'd love to take a moment. But that's lonely. It seems like a lonely existence.

"There's so much more to do. It's almost overwhelming, I've gotten to a great place in my career."

However, the former Friends star accepts she has missed out on several life experiences because of her successful movie career.

She added to the USA Today newspaper: "What I would do if I wasn't acting? I don't know. Maybe become a chef. And I'd travel. I'd go back to the years that I never did what I'd wish I'd done, which was travel Europe and backpack. That sounds slightly romantic."

Meanwhile, the unlucky-in-love star says an ex-boyfriend tried to win her back by proposing with his mother.

The Management beauty - who is divorced from Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt and split from Gravity singer John Mayer earlier this year - revealed one of her former lovers went to drastic measures in a bid to rekindle their romance.

She said: "I broke up with a guy and he tried to get back together with me by bringing his mother to a restaurant I worked at and getting down on one knee in the middle of the restaurant. The whole restaurant started applauding and I was like, 'Get up!' It was horrible!"

Jennifer Aniston has revealed she wants to move from acting to directing. The ‘Management’ actress says she is “working on” getting behind the camera soon, but is waiting for the right film to come along.

“I’m still working on becoming a director. I’m just waiting for the right thing. When you get to a place in your career where you’re like, ‘OK, I feel like I can breathe and I can make some choices that creatively stimulate me.’ I don’t know if acting is always going to be it, but I love it,” Jennifer Aniston says.

Police Investigate Shooting at Gisele Wedding

Costa Rican police have confirmed that they will investigate reports that two photographers were shot at during Gisele Bundchen’s wedding to Tom Brady.

AFP photographer Yuri Cortes and Rolando Aviles, from the Costa Rican publication Al Dia, claimed that they were targeted by security guards outside the supermodel’s home when they refused to give up their camera equipment. No-one was injured.

Speaking to People, the country’s Judicial Investigation Agency confirmed that it would investigate after an official complaint was filed in relation to the alleged shooting, but suggested that it was unlikely that the celebrity couple would be held responsible.

Earlier this week, a representative for Brady insisted that the wedding party had not been aware of the incident.

Around 50 guests are thought to have attended the couple’s second nuptials in Santa Teresa. They first tied the knot at a secret ceremony in California in February.

Pop star Lady GaGa has won plenty of attention for her eccentric look and now model cum actress Paris Hilton wants a piece of the action. The limelight-loving heiress bore more than a passing resemblance to the Just Dance singer on a photoshoot at Duke’s restaurant in Malibu yesterday.

She wore in a pair of metallic futuristic shades, skimpy black dominatrix-inspired outfit and sharp bob with thick blonde bangs. She's not the first star to copy Lady GaGa's look - singer Christina Aguilera was accused of stealing her fashion style on numerous occasions while the New Yorker was still just a little-known newcomer on the scene.

Lady GaGa, real name Joanne Stefani Germanotta, said at the time: 'Well, it was very flattering when it happened. 'She’s such a huge star and if anything I should send her flowers, because a lot of people in America didn’t know who I was until that whole thing happened.'

Christina denied she was taking inspiration from her, saying: 'I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. I don’t know if it is a man or a woman. I just wasn’t sure.' Paris happily waved to admirers from the balcony as she took a break on the set and later changed into a little black sequinned dress, Ray-Bans and shoe boots.

The 28-year-old is tanned and rested after recently returning from a romantic holiday in Hawaii with her new boyfriend Doug Reinhardt. She wrote on her MySpace blog last week: 'We had so much fun and it was so relaxing and romantic. I LOVE Hawaii!' Reinhardt, 24, who starred in the popular U.S. reality show The Hills, is apparently hoping to start a family with Paris.

According to America's In Touch magazine, he said: 'I'd love to have some mini Parises one day. 'Paris would make a great mom - she's my angel princess.'

Enjoying a Christmas Eve day outing with his lady, Orlando Bloom and model Miranda Kerr were spotted grabbing lunch at Mauro’s Cafe at Fred Segal on Wednesday afternoon (December 24).

According to paparazzi on the scene, the two made separate entrances, with Kerr heading inside and ordering a plate of pasta that was waiting for Bloom upon his arrival.

Earlier in the day, the “Pirate’s of the Caribbean” hunk and his Victoria’s Secret supermodel girlfriend did a little shopping at the Burton snowboard store.

Paps on the scene tell that “the couple joked around and laughed when Orlando took a liking to one of the boards with a scantily clad woman on front of it and declared ‘I want this one babe’ while pointing at the board with a blonde woman on the front.”

Kerr reportedly smiled and joked back: “But she’s blonde, I’m not blonde.”

Held at Sony Picture Studios, the Victoria’s Secret runway model Angel was lined up for presenting duties, joining the night’s host Jack Black and fellow celebrities including Stacy Keibler and Eliza Dushku. During the course of the evening’s broadcast on the Spike cable channel, the show included the premieres of 10 video game trailers.

Super model Heidi Klum says being naked in front of her family is “not a big deal”.

The stunning fashion model - who posed wearing just underwear and a pair of wings for the recent Victoria’s Secret fashion show - has no problem showing off her fabulous figure in front of her husband Seal and the three children they raise together.

She said: “To see me in wings is nothing too unusual. People are pretty open with their bodies in Germany and the children see you naked or in lingerie all the time so it’s not a big deal for us.
“We don’t hide inside a room somewhere and change - it’s all very out in the open.”

Heidi also revealed she not only has to maintain her slimline figure for work, but also to keep the romance alive in her marriage. She added: “You have to work out to be sexy. People always ask me how I stay in shape and how do I do it and what really makes me do it is because I have a hot man waiting at home for me. “So I don’t want to be a slouch bag, I have to keep up appearances.”

Australian super fashion model Miranda Kerr will strut down the aisle next year to marry her actor boyfriend Orlando Bloom, according to a report.

The 25-year-old Victoria’s Secret model from Gunnedah in NSW became engaged to Pirates of the Caribbean star Bloom during the last few weeks and will marry next year, according to the Sunday Telegraph.

The couple, who live together in New York, reportedly celebrated their engagement by cruising the romantic canals of Venice last week.

Kerr, who replaced Megan Gale as the face of David Jones earlier this year, has previously expressed her wish to have kids and live on a farm in a solar-powered house.

“I’ve always wanted kids so someday, eventually, yes it will happen,” she was quoted as saying in New York Post. But Kerr recently denied plans to marry just weeks ago.

Victoria’s Secret model Karolina Kurkova put her bombshell curves on show during a photo shoot in Miami over the weekend, but it was her peculiar belly button that was attracting all the attention.

The Czech blonde’s unusual navel had onlookers perplexed as she frolicked on the beach over the weekend in a tiny white bikini.
It’s not the first time her almost non-existent belly button has drawn attention.
A source has revealed magazine and catalogue art directors routinely airbrush one in for in post-production.
‘Karolina’s body is amazing, but her belly button is unusual,’ a fashion insider told Page Six magazine.
‘It disappears in photos, so we keep a collection of belly button shots in different positions, and Photoshop them on to her whenever she’s doing a bikini picture.’
Still, if she was at all self-conscious, she didn’t let it show as she posed up on the foreshore.
She was among the 35 Victoria’s Secret fashion models to hit the runway, including Heidi Klum and Orlando Bloom’s current flame, Australian Miranda Kerr.
R&B singer Usher opened the show at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel where the front row was filled with stars including Paris Hilton, John Stamos, Kim Kardashian, Martha Stewart and Klum’s husband, Seal.
Karolina, who has appeared in campaigns for Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, Chanel and Balenciaga, remains one of the most in-demand female models.
The following day she was once again strutting her stuff at the lingerie company’s catwalk extravaganza.
Her advocates include photographer Mario Testino, designer Marc Jacobs and Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who dubbed once dubbed her ‘the next supermodel.’
While her popularity shows no sign of slowing down, she hopes to cross over into acting.
She recently filmed a small part in Sienna Miller’s upcoming action move G.I. Joe, which is scheduled for release next year.

Supermodel Roz turns into Wonder Woman at the Playboy Mansion party

IT seems there’s no stopping top Irish fashion model Roz Lipsett on her ascent to the top. Since departing these shores for New York last year the brunette beauty’s career has gone from strength to strength.And now that she’s conquered the Big Apple it looks like the Dublin girl has set her sights on making a name for herself in LA.

As our exclusive pictures show, lucky Roz jetted over to Tinseltown last weekend to party with none other than legendary ladies’ man Hugh Hefner and his posse of playmates.

Stint, The gorgeous Dublin model girl was invited to attend a lavish Halloween bash at the mansion and dressed to impress in a revealing red, blue and gold Wonder Woman costume.

Getting into the spirit of things, Roz (24) partied the night away, stopping only to pose for these gorgeous pictures. But despite her fabulous evening, it appears Roz won’t be leaving her catwalk days behind for a stint as a Playboy bunny any time soon. Speaking of her meeting with the iconic Playboy boss Hugh she says: “He doesn’t fancy brunettes. Damn.”

“I was like a rabbit in headlights,” Roz revealed. “There were many naked ladies prancing around.” Getaways Roz did, however, get the lowdown on the shock split between Hugh Hefner and his former girlfriends Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson, stars of hit show, Girls of the Playboy Mansion.

The Herald can report the three female models made low-key appearances early in the evening before making quick getaways from the annual party. Hef (82) meanwhile, enjoyed the celebrations with his new twin girlfriends Karissa and Kristina Shannon. And it seems Roz was lucky to make it to the party as the 2008 Halloween bash reportedly marks the last of its kind.
Apparently even Hefner hasn’t escaped the worsening economic situation, with all personal parties at the mansion being curtailed from now on due to budget cuts in Playboy Enterprises.
All eyes will now be on Roz to see where she turns up next as she continues to live the American dream.

Jagger, The talented model has already made her Irish colleagues green with envy by landing some major campaigns with New York’s top fashion houses including Burberry and Versace.
Since then she has been catapulted to stardom and was even spotted dining with Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger and friends recently. But she admits: “I never dreamed I was going to be as successful as I have been.”

Why is it that people love getting naked for a good cause? Hey, I’m in no way complaining here, but it just seems like these days the outfit of choice for any grassroots campaign is the birthday suit. Case in point: the fashion model Miss Giselle Bundchen in a new ad campaign promoting the Forests of the Future project — an initiative assisting the reforestation of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest.

In the ad, the modeling photographer had photographed Gisele in standing naked position in a forest, donning some strategically placed foliage to cover her modesty and crossing her hands to cover her breasts. Scandalous!

Deforestation is a big problem, and I don’t mean to get all vegetarian on you, but did you know that between 1991 and 2000, the total area of forest lost in the Amazon rose from 415,000 to 587,000 km, with most of the lost forest becoming pasture for cattle? In fact, 70% of formerly forested land in the Amazon, and 91% of land deforested since 1970, is used for livestock pasture!

Kinda makes a brother stop and think, right?
