A Veteran — whether active duty, honorably discharged, retired, or reserve — is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America,” for an amount of "up to, and including life".

Age does not protect you from love. But love, to some extent, protects you from age.

-Anais Nin

“You see, we are here, as far as I can tell, to help each other; our brothers, our sisters, our friends, our enemies. That is to help each other and not hurt each other. And sometimes to help them we have got to help ourselves. So that we will know that they are around in the first place. It's a big world out there with enough pain and misery in it without me going around and helping it out by hurting myself and consequently, those that care about me. What I am trying to get across to you is please take of yourselves and those that you love because that is what we are hear for, that's all we got, and that is all we can take with us. Are you with me?” -Stevie Ray Vaughn

"There are many things in life that will capture your eye, but very few will capture your heart. These are the ones to pursue. These are the ones worth keeping."

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.
1 Peter 3 : 3-4

Graduated from AU in 2006 & graduated with a Masters of Education in School Counseling in 2008. I am enjoying my milestone, but I do miss those carefree days in Auburn. Little did I know then!! I married my best friend in October, 2009. I am looking forward to starting a new chapter in my life, but no matter where life takes me, I will always be Auburn and Love it! War Damn Eagle!!

I believe... the best things in life contain chocolate. I believe I'm always right (except when I'm wrong). The closer I get to it, the more I believe that thirty is the new twenty. I believe in my unalienable right to the perfect pair of shoes. I believe if you really want to know how you look, don't ask your mother, your sister, or your best friend. Ask a four-year-old.

Say Hello to Jeszi, a.k.a. Petite Jamilla

2010-02-19T08:40:00.000-08:00

In her own words,

"i'm pretty simple, i think. I am seasonally emotional (i match corresponding emotions with the corresponding season: Winter - Depressed, Summer - Happy), i am overly creative and i'm a work-a-holic (runs in the family). I went to college at my own expense and against my better judgement and saw no benefits even socially. I quit college to join a bellydance company in LA and it has become my life. I have been to 26 countries in 3 years. I am extreme just like my emotions..... i am organized and i have good leadership qualities which works to my benefit (my defense actually) because when i do screw up - i do it in a big way. I love kids and i have very little patience so your guess is as good as mine about whether i'm going to be a decent mother or not!"

Jeszi's websites:

http://www.petitejamillaonline.com
http://www.bellydancesuperstars.com

Activities:

wasting time, turning nightmares into disturbing topics of conversations, singing out of key and really loudly, imitating voices from my favorite Crank Yankers Characters, over-annalyzing everything, arguing, laying in the sun like a lizard, re-inventing things that are already useful into other things that are more useful to me,laughing, eating,

Interests:

fascinated with the human body and it's limitless abilities, dance of all organic forms (not a big fan of classical training), art that pushes the realm of being socially acceptable, writing short stories, screwing around on Garage Band, poorly playing bagpipes and remembering when i used to be decent, making Fairy Wings, hand-sewing,

I love these two!

I absolutely love this picture! Jeszi looks SO gorgeous and Shayan is so cute and in love! Ahhh, the sweetest thing.
