So I can't front. At work we had a Blood Drive that I was chairing. While confirming the appointments coming in. One girl stepped up with these sexy print trousers. They were a straight fit from the waist down and tapered at the ankle. She wore the pants with a black cotton blouse, a slightly fitted black silk cardigan and over-sized Tory Burch circular studs. She looked Rocking Roll fabulous. So while I was at Boltons this week, I saw my version of her pants. Not quite as fitted, and a little dressier. But nonetheless I snatched it up.

Hey Guys,

So I started on the hunt for my shoes. I got three so far:

So Big Blue - was $84 at the end of the day. I love the color, and the shoe is all leather. Big Blue has actually become my daily shoe. Especially with the pencil skirts.

So this little number, is leather in the upper shoe that lines the print fabric. I got her for $30- $33. I actually bought her with the shoe below, and the two together came up to $67.

I have to admit- I bought this one thinking it was going to be uber comfortable. But no, lol. Anyway, I'm going to make it work! It's a really cute shoe, and no she isn't a she. It's all leather- upper and sole.

So here we are today 11:30 am, and I'm on to the next store... Annie Sez. My Mom came home with some sexy zebra striped Guess platform sandals, with the heel dipped in a brilliant purple. So I'm going to check them out. I'll let you know how that goes.

Oh yea- 3 shoes down 84 + 67 = $151 Spent

Hey Guys,

I went to the Face2face Africa mixer in New York last Friday. I actually went with The UpperRoom Events crew! We had a blast. The mixer is a great platform for African professionals and lovers of Africa who are working towards the progression and re-branding of our super continent, to connect with, have a drink, mix and mingle, lol.

It's always a great experience going to their events. I'm looking forward to the next event. The F.A.C.E. List Awards '13

Yikes. Ok, so I need shoes. I need a boat load full of variety in shoes. I've reached that point, the seasons changing, and I am on a mission. Yes. So for the next month, I'm going shoe shopping. I'm budgeting 1k. LMAO.

I'm serious though. Now, that's interesting depending on who your talking to. But for me my budget will be $100 per shoe, and I want to get 10 pairs.

So what type of shoes, brand, styles what??? Ok, so I'm going for a mixture. Most will be close toe shoes with probably a chunky heel. I want to get more shoes that I can wear everyday, and not have to wear my walking shoes, and then change into my work shoes etc. I want some shoes with some color, interesting texture, some pizzazz. A great shoe for spring and fall. Now for all of this at the price I'm looking for, I'm going to check out some consignment stores also. Mind you I'm looking for all leather (mostly, lol).

Top on the list- Black Leather pumps. Just one of those staples I have to have. I've been rocking the Carolina Herrera Black pumps, and its time for a new one. Now those were around 200, but I'm not trying to spend that much, especially since I want 10 pairs of shoes. I'm going to check a couple of places for a solid pair. Lord and Taylor's, Bloomingdale's outlet store, Neimans, Neiman's Last Call, Century 21, Loehmann's (High expectations here depending on the location) and Annie Sez. Also I will call the Carolina Herrera Flagship store, and ask if they're having a sale on their pumps. Now mind you it doesn't have to be this brand. I just love how my size 9 and 1/2's look in her pumps.

I want a few 3 inch heels, some pumps, some chunky heels, and maybe 1 flat. I'm not terribly short, in fact I'm average 5'5' and a 1/2 (Akosua :P). But for me, flats just feel awkward, posture and all. I just feel more confident and powerful with heels. So my idea of a flat is wearing a 1-2 inch heel. That's what I'm going for. So lets see how this shoe game goes. I'll get back to you in a Month.

Hey Guys, a really good friend of mine invited me to take a class on scarp booking. I got to tell you, initially, I wasn't really into it. But I knew this was something she really enjoyed, and she wanted to share the experience with me, so I told her I'd go.

Wrong weekend I tell you. I head over there. It's that time of the month, I'm feeling funky, and its only the two of us in the class. We had some light refreshments, but truth be told, I just wanted a glass of wine, to chill, catch up and talk shit. lol.

Since it was just the two of us, the instructor was really giving me her undivided attention, which was just not what I was looking for, lol.

But you know, after a little while, I started to really get into it. We first started off with the basics, just trying understand what a sketch is, and why we should have one. And then we started to work through selecting pictures, figuring out which colors worked well with our pictures, how to mat the pictures.... It was a GREAT experience! I went in there with a funky attitude, and came out of the class really enjoying it. It just goes to show, how we really should have an open mind, and just let your wall down. You might learn something. I did.

Can I ditch my knee high boots for some open toe sandals. I'm so tired of this cold funky weather. I dream of warm 70's, pinks, yellows, hot pants, cutesy toes, shaven legs, a smile, and ditched coat way overdue....

Alright guys, but that's not what this post is about, lol. So today, or should I say yesterday, I met this guy, who reminded me of who I use to be. I'm talking about, before Wisconsin, before graduating, back back in the day, when I was such a free spirit. It just felt so good talking to him. I'm not sure if it was a connection with him, or more the connection through him, that created this nostalgia, that I sit and fantasize about.

I was such a dreamer back then. I still am, but its different, it's structured. The question is can I be that free, and financially stable or prosperous? Can the two coexist? Nonetheless I took a piece of him with me and am sharing that part with you.
