The A/W 2016, Parkchoonmoo collection was inspired by Korean culture and in particular, the designer's mother. The idea of family togetherness, and the warmth of tradition, is expressed by the rich textures of wool and fur.

Here are a few of my favorite pieces from the show.

Winter is my favorite season, especially when it's still fresh, white and clean. During the Juno storm of January last year I knew I wanted to produce a winter shoot that would capture the essence of the blizzard. Luckily there was a team who shared the vision and off we went to the Arboretum, laden with winter furs ready to go knee-deep into the snow!

Boston's enjoying some unseasonably warm weather this late into November, so it's rather fitting that this Indian summer coincides with our fashion editorial story photographed at the Wellesley greenhouses.

This shoot was a little different, in the sense that whatever was shot on location had to be imagined with the illustrations of Holly Nichols, which would be created later in the production.

So, it was especially interesting to see what the end result would be! I will share before and afters, soon, but take a look at some of the behind the scenes and in the meantime, I hope you will enjoy this fashion story.

Rachel is an urban Cinderella of sorts, barefoot in the gardens, dirt under her nails, planting and nurturing the plants and flowers as her day begins. The greenhouses are her world.

It's a magical place, the greenhouse.

Where the temperature rises as the clock strikes twelve and the exotic plants and leafy greens bask in all their glory..

...as does our muse....

What made the shoot even more special was having Jay from Brass Clothing there filming me at work in their shirt dress, something I wear on shoots all the time, because:

A) it's black (and everyone knows photographer's love wearing black)

B) it has POCKETS (a necessity for all things camera related: lens caps, batteries)

C) it looks GOOD!

It was such an honor to attend Fox's unveiling of the new "Empire" curated collection at Saks recently during New York Fashion Week. The partnership features curated collections from luxury fashion brands that represent EMPIRE's glamorous aesthetic and includes brands Alexis Bittar, Jimmy Choo, MCM as well as women's ready-to-wear from Cushnie et Ochs.

We had the opportunity to meet and mingle with the stars, producers and designers of the hit series EMPIRE in a gorgeous and intimate setting at the 5th Avenue flagship location.

It was a thrill to meet Terrence Howard, Grace Gealey, Kaitlin Doubleday, Gabourey Sidibe along with executive producer Lee Daniels. Also in attendance were Karrueche Tran, Cory Kennedy and Danielle Bernstein of @WeWoreWhat.

It was a wonderful night to celebrate all the buzz for EMPIRE's Season 2 which begins tonight, September 23 on Fox! Check out more at #EmpirexSaks.

Hands up if you're DONE with Winter! It's about time, amiright?

To get us ready for Spring and Summer, Neiman Marcus held a fashion show to showcase some looks for the season. Hosted by Meg of the Snazzy Bellanista and Neely of TheLoveTrep, together they showcased fun date night looks! With DJ Zeke of Murray Hill Talent spinning upbeat tunes and delicious treats from Broadway Gourmet, it was a terrific evening filled with dating tips and the best in the season's trends.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the women behind Brass Clothing, a fashion start up in Boston.

Co-founders Katie Doyle and Jay Hallstein created Brass Clothing as a new choice in women's fashion: high quality dresses without the high markup.

Come along for a tour of the Brass Clothing headquarters and meet the lovely ladies behind the line of beautiful basics for the beyond basic woman.

Co-founders, Katie Doyle and Jay Hallstein, always admired the aesthetic and quality of designer clothes but couldn't stomach the price tag. The alternative of cheap, fast fashion left them with a bad taste in their mouth. Always willing to take on a challenge, Katie and Jay decided to use their experience and connections in e-commerce and manufacturing to create a unique business model. By working directly with their factory and selling exclusively online, they are able to pass the savings along to customers. You no longer have to pay designer prices to get designer quality.

We are totally inspired by the idea of building a brand that people love and feel connected to. Our mantra for 2015 is “Beautiful. Basic. Badass.”  We’re all about beautifully made, basic dress styles with a little bit of personality. The business allows us to recognize women who are kicking ass at what they do – whether it’s starting their own business or going to medical school. Providing these women with essential basics that allow them to look great and feel confident while pursuing their passions is one of the best parts of this business, hands down.

Staying focused.  We’re constantly coming up with new things to do and try.  Squeezing everything in can be a challenge, so we have to remind ourselves to stay focused on our action plan.

Well, right now it’s layers of scarves, hats and gloves over a knee length North Face jacket :).  But, in general, we think Bostonians like to keep it casual and comfortable.  We’re a pretty practical city; simple and easy to wear go a long way.

Katie--I have a simple yet sophisticated (at least I like to think so) sense of style.  I wear a lot of neutrals and tend to go for more fitted clothes because I think that’s what looks best on my figure.  As Jay likes to say, sometimes you gotta be like Bae and show off those curves.

Jay--I'm going to go ahead and say my style is tomboy chic. (I just made that up, but it’ll go viral. Just watch. #tomboychic.) I like looser fitting clothes, multiple layers, blazers, boots, clothes that make me feel strong and sexy. Katie and I both strongly believe that clothing is an outward extension of how you feel inside. So, my favorite outfits inspire feelings of confidence, energy, and femininity.

Katie--My cozy bed. It takes me about 6 minutes to make it each morning with all the shams, duvet, throws. etc, but it’s so worth it.  I probably shouldn’t have read so much House Beautiful as a child…    

Katie--Podcasts & talk radio. Nothing makes my commute go by faster than an episode of This American Life.

Jay--Leather boots. Tall ones, short ones, booty ones, all of them. A nice pair of leather boots will magically pull together any outfit and make you feel like you can take on the world.

Jay--French fries. 'Nuff said.

Brass--Instagram. We make so many connections, meet new people.  It’s an amazing resource.   

Katie--Not to sound like a total freak, but my ideal Sunday includes cleaning my bathroom and sweeping/dusting my entire apartment.  I can’t explain it – it just makes me happy.  It also includes cooking dinner – something low and slow like short ribs – for my wonderful boyfriend and watching House of Cards.

Jay--Katie is a freak. I mean, who chooses to clean the bathroom on Sunday?? Well, at least she’s my little freak. My ideal Sunday does not include any cleaning. It includes naps, lattes, doing something with my hands (sewing, knitting, building), cooking a yummy meal, and sitting outside on our porch eating dinner and drinking wine with friends and my partner.

FURLA has opened a new boutique at Boston's Copley Place and what better way to celebrate than with an evening of champagne, music and of course, BAGS! It was a pleasure to photograph the festivities hosted by fashion bloggers Khatu, Kristen, Georgina and Jessye and with music by Nora of DJour Entertainment, it was a fun night, indeed!

Ted Baker's Autumn/Winter collection is all about "taking the lead" so I thought, what better way to showcase the luxurious and flirty collection than at the famed Carousel in Boston Common?

Maggie Inc. models Riana and Peter were the perfect fit for the beautiful pieces, and together with makeup artist and hair stylist extraordinaire Carmina Divirgilio and bona fide fashion stylist Tara West, we made this magical carousel vision come to life!

I'm really looking forward to Fall, it's my favorite season, especially in Boston. There's something about the crisp air that has you having to throw on a few layers!

We shot this fall editorial under the Zakim Bridge in Cambridge with GREY being our inspiration, a bright plum on the lips to brighten up a grey day and of course, fall isn't fall without a fantastic jacket...

I love working with artists on interesting concepts and creative new content and so, I teamed up with Kashmir Asvaraksh for this MODERN Kabuki inspired shoot, with TBW (The Beauty Within) model Elizabeth Bennett.

The focus was the origami-esque hair and color spash of makeup....

 HAPPY JULY 4TH!

I had the pleasure of working with Maggie Inc.'s Rachel Donnellan on this summer-inspired editorial shoot for July 4th!

Come along with us as Rachel, with curls in her hair and a sun-kissed glow, becomes one with nature in the cool shade of the lush ivy walls of Boston.

Ending the day with a vanilla cone from Frosty's Ice Cream Truck at the Public Garden is the right thing to do!

At Neiman Marcus, Laura Mercier experts pampered some ladies with lovely colors for summer, while hair stylists amped up their hair!

I captured head shots and then they were ready for a night on the town!

The lovely ladies behind Ms Fit for Society hosted a fashionable presentation combined with a fitness demonstration at SAKS Boston, perfectly timed for summer and for May's American Stroke Month.

Ms Fit's own Jessica Diaz, a recent stroke survivor, spoke about her experience and introduced us to her neurologist, Massachusetts General Hospital's Dr. Natalie Rost. Learn more about strokes and especially how to spot one.

Of course, the show made for a very tempting invitation to shop afterwards, all for a great cause, with 10% of proceeds going to the American Stroke Association.

Once again, DJ Mario Papathanasiou spun the night away, while Nathan Alan and Danielle Noel of Blo Salon worked their magic over the lovely Maggie Inc. Models....

Neiman Marcus recently celebrated the 30th Anniversary of its InCircle loyalty program with an evening of fashion, cocktails and LIVE art by local artist Amy Kaufman. Amy wowed the crowd with the artful strokes of her brush, while cocktails were served in this season's favorite color: pink.

Neiman Marcus Style Advisor Dave Chen styled twenty-eight looks in a Spring and Summer fashion presentation featuring all of the trends for this season. Of course, no Neiman Marcus extravaganza is complete without delectable treats! Thanks to East Meets West Catering and Georgetown Cupcake, Spring continued right onto the plates! Music beats provided by the talented Scott Arrington of Murray Hill Talent.

It's always an honor to photograph a designer  and Tabitha Simmons, Vogue contributing editor, shoe designer and British Fashion Award winner, was especially lovely at Saks Fifth Avenue, Boston. Very gracious, warm and approachable. I loved that while she was meeting fans, mingling and signing her fabulous Bonais or Haydens she was also taking iPhone photos to Instagram later!

The atmosphere had a bit of British influence with beats spun by ESC Music Design/Mario Papathanasiou and a sumptious afternoon tea catered by Capers Catering.

But let's not forget about the fabulous shoes....
