At first, this fashion piece seems awkward. But when you get used to it and can work it out, it can define who you are. Gladiators can be matched with different outfits. This is what I like about this sandal. You can pair it with jeans, skirts, dress a nd even shorts. My Most Hated Person in the World: Speidi

Speidi is the combined names of Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag. They are the reality stars from the show, The Hills. After starring from this reality series, Heidi Montag, together with her husband, released her solo album which proved to be a flop. Heidi and Spencer eloped and got married in Mexico but after fifteen months of marriage, Heidi has already filed for divorce.

It’s probably Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt whom I considered as hated by many. I have to be biased here because I also hate them. At first, I thought that when the TV show “The Hills” (where they appear) is finished, I would probably forget and get over them, but it proved me wrong. After the show’s done, the couple’s desperate move to be relevant in the eyes of the public has become even greater. It’s a pity on both of them since they have become desperate for money, fame and power. As what Lady Gaga would say, “fame monsters”. But really, I think they are pathetic individuals whom I should not waste my time writing an entry on my blog about them. But I should do this anyway in order to totally bury them from Hollywood news.

I am not sure if many people share the same sentiment as I do. But I hope so. LOL. It’s a shame that Heidi has gone to the lowest levels of being fame whore considering that she can act well and that she has the beauty also. I can also consider craziness that she went to multiple and extreme cosmetic surgery in just one day hence nearly becoming robot/rigid doll in appearance. I hate it that she became manipulated by Spencer into various publicity stunts. It’s outrageous! And look at her co-stars in The Hills now – Kristin Cavallari? Lauren Conrad? They have become successful in their own good way.

Because of this, I consider Speidi as my most hated person. More hate than Bai Ling or Kathy Griffin. I’m tire of all the drama about them – all the fabricated stories about divorce, money, heading to splitsville, money, divorce and now sex tapes?!! They will fake all kinds of things so that they can remain in the Hollywood circulation. Stop all the kissing in front of cameras. It’s gross, eeeewww. For the good of everybody, just stop it Speidi!

Be in a Beanie/Beret

During the winter, knitted caps are important part of one’s clothing. It may be small but it is helping in giving warmth. During the cold season, it is really very hard to become fashionable. I rather call the beanie hats as Beret caps. I don’t know if there is a difference between the two. All I know is that they are knitted caps for the winter. As a matter of fact, some would simply call it as wool caps or knit caps. You can use this cap on various outfits- whether it is for a day occasion or night.

I find myself having difficulty finding fashionable beanie. Yes, there are many beanies around but I like to find the one that fits me well and have the “slouchy” effect. Designer brands are complete with beanies but they are so expensive. I have to hunt these hats in thrift shops. Marc Jacobs, Christian Dior, L.A.M.B. and Burberry has this fashion accessory but it’s way too expensive. I’d rather buy on online stores like eBay.

Those beanies with ear flaps are also very appealing to me. While it serves its purpose, which is to give warmth, it is also fashionable at the same time. It’s like giving the aura of being fun and carefree. This fashion accessory has become popular in Hollywood also. Now that fedoras and skull caps are out, these beret caps are the new trend. Among the celebs seen sporting this hat are Rachel Bilson, Mary-Kate Olsen, Keira Knightley, Beyonce and many more. Even guys like Zac love it too!

The Boho Chic Part 3: Get that Boho Look

I have been writing about the boho chic style for the past few days now. We all know now that the boho look is a mix of being hippie, vintage and ethnic pieces. Layering, accessorizing and colorful and max prints are important. This time, I feel the need to give you tips on how to get the Boho look. In order to perfect this look, you need to find balance on the messiness of the outfit. So here’s a few tips to help you become a genuine Bohemian princess like Nicole Richie and Sienna Miller.

Basically, there are different types of boho-chic styles- the peasant girl, the rugged boho and the bohemian luxe. The peasant girl boho is the ultra feminine version of the style. The usual trademark is the angelic headband, skirts that are long and flowing as well as embroidery and lace materials. The rugged boho, on the other hand, includes a tunic of some sort, cowboy boots and distressed denim cutoffs. The bohemian luxe is considered as the super chic version of the boho styles.

First off, you need to have extra LARGE fashion outfits and accessories. This means that as long as your are comfortable with it and it looks attractive, go for large dresses, vests and bracelets. Do not forget to have an extra large bag also!Accessories are equally important for the Boho look. For this style, you need to have a couple of rings as well as ‘gympsy’ earrings. What I like about the Bohemian style is that you can put as many jewelries as you like. Bracelets that are printed would always look good for that Boho look. Wooden bracelets are also nice.

Aside from having everything extra large and printed, being colorful is also a must. Being Boho chic means not worrying about too many colors in the outfit. Among the colors that can do well to get that Boho look are beige, purple, bright blue, orange and brown. Furthermore, in a Boho look, you need to be creative and be ready for DIY outfits. For example, you can add accents live leaves or flowers to an ordinary belt or a skirt. You can even do it with your bags or with your accessories. Tunics would work our just fine on a skirt or pants.

And finally, you just need to be yourself. You don’t have to try too hard to have that Boho chic style. After all, being Boho means being free-spirited. It is a reflection of creativity and individuality. What matters most is that you love your style. Even if this means adding only small boho things to you headbands and necklaces.

The Boho Chic Part 2: On Braided Hair

Loose braids are on the loose (Boho Braids)!

To complete the Boho look, you need to keep your hair braided. But the kind of braiding needs to be the Boho braids, which I otherwise call as the loose braids. If you have seen the photos of various celebs today, you can see them sporting this hair braid. Nicole Richie for one is always having this hairdo. Inded, Boho braids are stylish and pretty especially when dressing up with tank top and shorts, flowing dress or even a flowy strapless gown which can be used in prom or other events. Other hippie chicks like Sienna Miller and the Olsen twins looks gorgeous having this braid.

Luckily, ehow.com has given us the step by step process of doing the loose braids.

Here’s how to create a Boho braid:

Start by blow drying your hair to make your hair nice and straight, which makes it easier to braid. Part your hair in the center when drying it.
Then you want to separate out a 1 inch section on both sides of your hairs part, two inches back from your hairline. Take a 2 inch piece of of hair above each ear, and then clip it out of the way. Pull the rest of your hair back into a low bun. Use bobbi pins to help secure it against the nap of your neck and then tuck in the ends.

3. Next braid each of the top sections you secured in the beginning, down and then pin the ends of it into your bun. Then braid the side sections you had secured over the top of your head and pin the ends against your head. Last you want to smooth your look with a pomade to avoid frizzies or flyaway hair. Or apply a hairspray to lock in your hairstyle.

Look, even Paris Hilton is seen sporting this look. Doesn’t she look pretty even with her mugshot?

The Hippie Fashion: Being Boho Chic

When one talks about the hippie fashion, one thing that comes to my mind is Hollywood celebs like the Nicole Richie, Sienna Miller and the Olsen twins. For me, Nicole Richie is the ultimate hippie fashionista. I mean even when she’s preggers, she’s still the most fashionable person on earth. A true boho chic. Sienna Miller is more of a subtle hippie chick. It’s like you can always find a trace of the boho look in her outfits. And the Olsen twins? They’re outrageous (in a good way). Fashion critics would usually turn down the looks of the Olsen twins but I must say “bravo” to them. I love it that they are incorporating bits of Bohemian on their look, every now and then.

Boho is short for Bohemian look. It has its influences on the concept of Bohemian and hippie. Among the fashion hints for boho look are the patchwork, tooled leather, embroidery, paisley and floral prints, home-spun and raw-edged fabrics, fringing, studding, tassel and jewelries that are ornate and layered. It is greatly inspired by the flower child styles of the late 1960’s. Indeed, this fashion tends to capture the look that is free-spirited and earthy. There is an eclectic mix of vintage, ethnic and hippie.

Other Hollywood stars who try very hard to have the hippie look are Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Isabel Lucas. I must say, try it harder girls! Just a tip for all the girls out there, the important accessories to complete that Boho look are the the headbands, suede boots (sometimes), maxi dresses, big boho bags and jewelries that can speak of being free-spirited (meaning it should be gypsie-like and rustic). I like Lauren Conrad for the obvious reason that she’s fashionable. Actually, the two people I only watch in the The Hills is LC and Kristin Cavalliari. She was best known for her role in Laguna Beach and The Hills. After her acting stint in reality shows, Lauren pursued her career into the fashion industry. And as far as I’m concern, Lauren is doing well in this well.

What’s good about Lauren is that she wears what she designs.She herself is into fashion such that even her everyday wear is fashionable. After leaving the show The Hills, Lauren did not only venture into designing clothes but she also wrote a book that discusses about styling and fashion. She says that through her book, various women are empowered to look fashionable even in their day to day lives.

While she may not be that HOT as compared to other Hollywood celebs, her beauty and choice of fashion makes her one of the most coveted women. I also observed that Lauren is not like other celebs who cannot be seen wearing the same clothes or accessories twice. If you will look into her paparazzi shots, you can see her wearing the same bags or clothes over and over. And there’s nothing to be ashamed with it. Indeed, LC is truly a candy!

Things get heat up in the set of the music video of Eminem and Rihanna!

On the latest news, we heard that Eminem has released his new music video of his song “Love the Way you Lie” which features Rihanna. I must admit the song is catchy. It’s full of emotions. I bet these two artists can relate so much on this song. Indeed, they are no stranger to a broken relationship. We all know the domestic violence experienced by Rihanna. Undeniably, even the audience can feel the emotions of the songs. The song tells a lot about relationships, specifically domestic violence and how we tolerate them.

The music video features an unlikely pair – Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan. They both look hot on the screen such that they are almost believable. While Dominic Monaghan is paired with Megan Fox, there is a close resemblance between Megan and Evangeline Lily. FYI, Evangeline is the Lost co-star and girlfriend of Dominic. Maybe it’s the hair and the body. Nonetheless, Megan and Dominic looks hot on the video. Perfect!

Plaid Shirts are Simply the Best

Hollywood celebs are going for plaid shirts.

Seriously, I never find it stylish to wear plaid shirt until I saw the Hollywood celebs rocking it. I know this is an absurd thinking. But oh well, it works for me. I then began wearing plaid shirt in every possible occasion or just in everyday wear. My favorite plaid shirt is the vintage style. It may be tricky to wear but it’s worth a shot. The plaid shirt would usually become the center of your outfit. I would suggest to pair it with jeans, short shorts or even skirt which are darker the color of the plaid shirt.

Before, I usually associate plaid shirts with cowboy look. But today, no more! I believe that the emerging plaid shirt fashion has broken free of being stereotyped as cowboy. You can now wear plaid shirt on any season. You just need to be creative with it. Go try it on, the plaid shirt is a good transition piece. Hollywood celebs are even wearing it.

The Heiress to the ‘Johnson & Johnson’ Empire is Dead

On January 4, 2010, Casey was found dead at the guesthouse of her friend in Los Angeles. Some sources also say that she died at her own house. The unidentified caller to 911 revealed during her phone call that Casey’s body is ice cold and her hands are turning blue. While the cause of death is yet to be determined, the policy already ruled out that there is no 'foul play’ that happened.

It should not be a surprise that Casey Johnson is dead. Setting aside the party animal behavior, Casey has also juvenile diabetes. Casey is 30 years old at the time of her death.

Aside from being known as the heiress to the Johnson & Johnson Company, Casey is popular as a socialite alongside Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. As Perez Hilton would describe Casey, she is one out of control heiress. Her grandfather is the co-founder of Johnson & Johnson, Robert Wood Johnson I.

Moreover, Casey is known to initiating feuds and public scandals. There is not so much to talk about Casey’s career. It’s just drama all over the place- simply contributing to the messy world of Hollywood. To have wealthy and a fortunate life like Casey, she should have make things better not only to bring good towards other people and the society but more importantly to herself also.
In 2007, she adopted a baby girl in Kazakhstan, whom she named Ava-Monroe After her idol, Marilyn Monroe. Because of drug abuse, Casey lost custody of her daughter. She was cut off financially by her family and that She’s date both men and women. Recently. she had announced her engagement with another celebrity, Tila Tequila. And after the death of Casey, Tila stated that she wants to legally adopt Casey’s daughter, Ava.

With the fame and power bestowed in the hands of Casey, she could have done many good things. For instance, she could have supported a cause or give charity rather than waste all the money and energy into nothing but partying. I feel sorry for the family of Casey.

Journey's "Revelation" Album

Yes! Just because I can't get over on how good Arnel Pineda is, I a m posting again another article about him. Especially now that their new album is a chart topper, I can’t wait to feature him again on my blog.

I personally saw the “Revelation” album when it was not yet out in the Philippines and it is just only available at Wal-Mart (aggghh!). If only they have released their album on all record bars/stores immediately, then they should have gotten greater sales on a shorter period of time. On the cd, I’ve read about Arnel’s message and I can say that he’s damn proud of his roots.

Tween War Between Miley and Selena

Bring it on!

Now, what do we have here? It looks like a war is brewing between the two princesses in Disney today. Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez are involved in an epic battle through Youtube. I believe this feud started when Miley began reacting towards the video posted by Selena and Camp Rock’s Demi Lovato on Youtube. I think the video of Selena and Demi do not even concern Miley. But here comes Miley and company creating a video of their own which is targeted to Selena and Demi. In Miley’s vid, she is clearly mocking Selena and she’s definitely mean in doing it.

I’m not being biased here. I love Miley Cyrus and I do not even know Selena Gomez, until last month I think? But what Miley and her friends did is just way too mean. It’s already below the belt! After the Miley's vid. spread through the Internet, various comments surfaced regarding Miley's behavior. Miley responded to it by saying that she's super sorry (like duh!).

Some of you may ask where it all started. Sources claim that the feud is all about Nick Jonas. Rumor has it that Nick, who happens to be the ex of Miley, is dating Selena. Nick is the youngest member of the Jonas Brothers and is already linked to various Hollywood darlings. If this rumor proves to be true, I can sense catfight here.

Arnel’s Journey to Stardom (through Youtube)

Who would have thought that Arnel Pineda would still achieve his far-fetched dream at the age of 40? Yes he did! This Filipino singing sensation is the new lead vocalist of the legendary Journey. Through the help of the Internet technology, Arnel was discovered by Neil Schon from the band Journey during his search on Youtube for a new vocalist for the band.

Before the news broke out, I had the privilege of watching Arnel to sing ‘live’ in Bagaberede here in Manila. When you see him personally perform in the stage, you will be struck on how good he is. I’m not a fan of the classic and old songs but Arnel made me a fan of those songs. In fact, I did not even know who the Journey are until Arnel began singing their songs. More so, the Journey songs are not the only music that can be perfectly covered by Arnel. He can even do Led Zep, Survivor, Aerosmith, Goo Goo Dolls and many more. My favorite among these is Aerosmith’s ‘Amazing’ (Just watch it in Youtube to see why it’s my fave).

At first, many were reluctant with Arnel being the singer of this international band. Especially the fans of Journey, they are really “unwilling” to accept him not because of any issues on his singing abilities but due to the fact that he is a Filipino. Since Journey is an all-American band, they cannot accept that the new singer is not American. Nonetheless, these issues were easily dispelled once they heard Arnel Pineda belting out the tunes of their favorite Journey songs perfectly.

Undoubtedly, I can say that AP deserves whatever he has right now. The world is a witness to his great talent which was long undiscovered. Thanks to Neil Schon and the rest of the band, Arnel can now showcase his talent to all the people around the globe.

This morning, while I was checking on the latest gossip, I stumbled upon the realization that there are too many Jennifers in world of entertainement. Ok, maybe this is common, but I was just startled at the moment that majority of the people of the gossip headlines today are named Jennifer (e.g. Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Aniston, etc.).

Because of this, I decided to compile all the Jennifers that I know. I thought it would be great to determine the personalities of the differnet Jennifers in Hollywood. So, I will start with Jennifer Garner, who is my favorite among the different Jennifers. Ever since giving birth with her daughter, Violet, I began to really admire Garner.

J. GARNER

Jennifer Anne Garner is best known for her role in the TV series ALIAS, which is created by J.J. Abrams. Becuase of this show, she received various awards and nominations in different award-giving bodies. With the show's sucess, she was able to acquire great film projects like Juno, Daredevil, Catch Me if You Can, Pearl Harbor, Catch and Release, Dude, Where's my Car?, Elektra, 13 Going 30, The Kingdom and many more. Jennifer is currently married to Ben Affleck. They have a daughter named Violet and are currently expecting another child. Way to go Jen!

Another Jennifer on the list is Jennifer Joana Aniston. Jennifer has become popular with the hit TV show, Friends. She has received ton of awards from this show. Aside from this hit show, Aniston also became popular because of the various movies which she starred in. Most of them were comedies like Office Space, The Break-Up, Bruce Almighty, Along Came Polly and Rumor Has It.

But what made Jen more popular is her relationship with Brad Pitt. Their marriage was highly publicized and that it came in surprise that they last for a considerable long time. But their separation last 2005 was such a stir that Jen was once again highly controversial. During this time, it seemed to be that the world had sympathized with Jen, especially because of the sudden romantic relationship between Brad and Angelina Jolie (Angie denied these rumors of adultery though). But after all these events, Jen moved on with her life and is now with John Mayer.

In terms of love life, Jennifer Lopez has something in common with Jennifer Garner- it’s Ben Affleck. Before Ben became the husband of Garner, he was into a romantic relationship with Jennifer Lopez. In fact, Lopez and Affleck were already engaged. It was only hours before their wedding when they decided to call it off. After the break-up, our J.Lo has moved on to Marc Anthony, who is her third and current husband. And last February 2008, she gave birth to two beautiful twins named Max and Emme.

Jennifer Love Hewiit is an actress, singer and a song writer. What can I say with her? Her film and music career are both okay. I believe her acting career is more pronounced than her singing. But usually, Hewitt is able to integrate her music and the film into one. Her song, which she wrote herself, is made as the soundtrack for her film projects. For instance, in her movie, “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” she recorded the single “How Do I Deal” to become the soundtrack. Isn’t it nice?

In terms of magazine listings, Hewitt is usually included in sexy magazine like FHM and Maxim. From 1997 up to the present, she has constantly been included on the list of FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the world. Even TV Guide rated her as the “Sexiest on TV.” With her long stay in the world of Hollywood entertainment, Hewitt did not cause much stir especially among the paparazzi. It was only during the fateful day of November 2007 when she became the talk of the town. This is because of the pictures taken by the paparazzi while she vacationing in Hawaii with her fiancé Ross McCall, wherein it shows a plumper body of hers. It created such a stir especially on the Internet.

Hudson is still new in the industry, but she has already proved herself. She have won majority of the awards she’s been nominated to. Moreover, Hudson is also applauded on her sense of fashion. Although she is relatively "healthy," she has a way of dressing like there's nothing to hide. And I salute her for that. She her own sense of style that makes her stand out from the crowd.

I still can remember Jennifer Paige because she was then my favorite when I was a teenager, because of her song “Crush”. Who doesn’t know that song anyway. There’s little that I can say about Paige because she has not been in circulation for several years already. Because of her face and talent, Paige was able to produce good music. Her songs would compete to the Billboard .especially during her debut album. After being absent for a log time in the music industry, Jennifer has now release her new album entitled “Best Kept Secret.”

Fashion Diva: Nicole Richie

Nicole's Evolution in Fashion....

Ever since Nicole Richie turned her life around, I began to really admire her. Especially her style, I think she has improved a lot. And in terms of behavior or attitude, she can now even inspire other people to change for the better. Anyway, I cannot dwell so much on Nicole’s reformed behavior. Some would claim that she is still a bad girl while others would contend that she has indeed changed.

Oh well, what I’m sure of is that her sense of fashion has not only become acceptable but also remarkable. Nicole may not be a model or a client of the red carpet, but she has a way of dressing that can be appealing to others. Some of her gowns maybe a flop but it is her regular or casual wears that appeals to me the most.

With her pics, one can say that pregnancy and giving birth to Harlow Winter has been a blessing to Nicole Richie. Before, everybody raised their brow when Nicole announced that she is pregnant. Of course who would have thought that Nicole can become so good at parenthood? She was well known before as the best friend (like BFFs!?!) of Paris Hilton. She was a party girl and one can clearly see that her life is wasted. She talks trash and loves to say bad words and even got arrested for DUI (Driving Under the Influence).

But today, when you look at her, it seems though that parenthood is so natural. She and her husband, Benji Madden of the Good Charlotte band, seem to be enjoying their life together with their baby. They are a picture of a good family and Nicole even admitted that it’s her baby who saved her life. I guess with all these changes, it can also reflect in the physical aspect such that when Nicole began to change her sense of fashion has also changed. And I like her now more than ever before. She was able to erase the notion of people regarding as just another party animal like her BFF Paris Hilton. Kudos to Nic!

L.A.M.B. is the fashion line of Gwen Stefani, which is an acronym that stands for Love, Angel, Music, Baby... Judging by the name of the fashion line alone, I can say that it is very catchy. The name incorporates or embodies all that is positive and divine. This fashion line was launched on 2003 and it offers a wide array of consumer goods such as the shoes, handbags, fragrance, watches and apparel. I am so thrilled that L.A.M.B. made it to the runway. Their designs are very cool especially their handbags.

Also, the L.A.M.B. fashion line is based on the debut solo album of Gwen Stefani entitled "Love. Angel. Music. Baby" (of course!). As usual, the solo album of Gwen was a success. Even if she sought to produce a solo album, the quality of music is still good. In fact, things changed for the better. I love her now, more than ever before. Notwithstanding, I still love love love No Doubt...

With Gwen as one of the pillars of this fashion house, every design will be special, unique and sublime. Unlike the fashion line of other celebrities, the L.A.M.B. clearly is put on a higher level. God,I am just disappointed on how every celebrity tries to establish their own line of clothing with only the ultimate goal of making money! I think you would agree that some celebrities who have their own clothing lines do not really deserve it...

Expect nothing but the best with Gwen..Her fashion line only affirms her unique sense of style..She is also one of the few celebrities whose fashion line is derived from various influences (like the Harajuku!). You rock girl! Certified Fashionista!

Just as when you thought that Sienna Miller is out of the limelight, here she comes again with another explosive. Her last controversy concerns about her on and off relationship with Jude Law, who cheated on her by having a romantic relationship with the nanny of their children. Today, another photos are circulating which reveal her to be topless while vacationing with a married man named Balthazar Getty, in Portofino, Italy.

After the photos circulated, it angered Sienna causing her to sue the UK papers that first published her topless photos. This has also prompted Balthazar Getty to speak out about the accusations to Sienna as being a home wrecker. Balthazar said that he and his wife are already separated.
