The Wedding of the Lebanese Fashion Designer Farah Hassan

2014-08-12T22:37:00.002+03:00

10/8/2014 a very special day to remember...
Last Sunday I got the pleasure to be one of the guests of the Lebanese fashion designer Farah Hassan.
It was a fairy tale I fell in love with every corner I look at. It was a very nice open doors ceremony, a big garden full of colorful flowers and happy kids running around, it was definitely my kind of heaven, and the fashion show she threw in her wedding was the cherry on the top!

The dresses she showed in her wedding were gorgeous pastel one of a kind dresses. It described everything about Farah, simple yet classy and elegant. Farah's wedding dress was a true artwork! She worked on it for a whole year, and it was worth it. The details in the dress took wedding dresses to a whole new level, she accessorized it with pink flowers just like the theme of the wedding "White and Pink". Her makeup was pretty simple, since she obviously wanted all eyes to be on the dress.

As for me I was also living my kind of a dream, I was dressed by Miska Fashion Wear a stunning floral dress.I paired it with a bold necklace and high black heels by H&M. The dress was so comfortable that it felt like a hug, I didn't wanna take it off! "Fashion Speaks Louder than Words" don't you think?!!

Ariel Runway

2014-06-07T15:18:00.001+03:00

Friday evening I was invited to Ariel’s fashion show, a brand created to wash fabrics without losing the colors which already had a fairly good success. The fashion show was very nice, set in Beirut Souks, and the clothes were designed with floral prints, summer colors and fluttered materials. You can see a part of this fashion show and you can see me on the front row. Thank you Ariel for the amazing hospitality (Felt like a VIP)
I was just finished with my last final exam! Yes Fashionistas I'm officially a graduate!!! Got myself into some ripped jeans, a little hat for my bad hair day and LOTS of accessories!! Take a look at my favorite gowns.

I was wearing H&M heels

Perfect Little Black Dress

Fashion Week Day 4

2014-06-01T01:15:00.000+03:00

Fourth day of my Milan fashion week: other 3 beautiful fashion shows I had the chance to attend
The day started with the AZADEA fashion show: bright colors, classic dresses but with innovative cuts that make the best effects on naked parts of the body and curious use of tonalities.

Summer Fashion Week by L.I.P.S Day 3

2014-05-31T23:51:00.000+03:00

Hello Fashionistas! No you didn't miss a post, unfortunately I couldn't attend the second day of the Fashion Week because I had finals, as as senior student studying must come first what a bummer ha?! Right now I'm listening to some old songs dancing on the chair like a crazy, you know why?! I'M HAPPY!! Fashion week was such a blast!

The first fashion show of the day was Martha Fadel. The models all looked like dolls, the dresses were in pastel colors, I really appreciated the dresses and skirts.

The second fashion show was Zeki, that I really enjoyed. The shapes were enriched by the work done on the patterns which created wonderful 3d effects. The pieces I loved the most were the leopard ones

at 9.30 I attended my first Marie France fashion show, one of my favorite brands. The pieces of the new collection were full of colors and shapes. I would wear absolutely everything of what I saw on the catwalk

Summer Fashion Week Day 1

2014-05-31T22:37:00.001+03:00

Here I am writing to you guys after a wonderful first day of Summer fashion week. First of all I’m sorry if I’m not uploading so many photos but I’m trying to do my best shooting a lot of pictures to put together at the end, to give you a more real vision of the fashion week seen by me

The day started with Nour Ben Abdallah fashion show where I enjoyed the leather, the lace and the flower colors, perfect for summer.
The second fashion show was the one of the Lebanese designers: Hassan Wehbe gave me another confirmation of the talent of Lebanese people.
At 7:30 Amina Al Jassim, where I fell in love with the transparent dresses, long lace dresses!
Just after that I watched Les Amis fashion show, whose pastel colours completely caught me

For the day I wore a black skirt with velvet print on, matched to the black high heels sandals and to my orange tank top.

Summer Fashion Week by L.I.P.S

Beirut Fashion Week! Everybody talks about it but it's kinda crazy to live it, and of course the higher the heels the better.. Just make sure not to fall down!

Uhh Beirut! A city full of elegance and glamour.Summer Fashion week 2014, the Second edition by L.I.P.S with the longest catwalk in Lebanon 50 meters - Outdoor Terrace of St. Georges Yacht Club overlooking Zeytouna Bay. Beirut Fashion week definitely didn't disappoint, the shows were so well designed, violin players, singers, dancers, and the gorgeous models blew my mind! I appreciate the way this place was handled: for the press and guests there was a relax area with makeup artist, food and beverages. There was around 4 designers showing their collections everyday for the whole Fashion Week. The designs were to die for: bold colors, prints and very feminine structures. It was my own kinda paradise!

Beirut Fashion week was an incredible experience I will never forget the amazing things I lived as well as the crazy people I met! So guys we're coming to the end, well.. the end of Beirut Fashion Week, there's obviously more adventures to come!

Fashionista For In Style Designs

2014-04-27T23:58:00.003+03:00

Today is a very important and exciting day for me and for Fashionista. I got the chance to work with In Style Designs! In Style Designs for me is one of those brands that tells a story where each precious jewel means something extraordinary to the one who wears it. If we think of the Love bracelet which ties an unbreakable love bond between two people, I love the idea of wearing a jewel that has a deep emotional meaning to me. Here I posted some of my favorite collections of In Style Designs.

CELINE'S IT BAG- The TRAPEZE

2014-04-10T17:41:00.002+03:00

Move over Chanel: there is a new IT bag and its on the radar of all fashionistas. The Celine Trapeze Tri-color bag. It is on waiting lists around the world with customers fighting to get their hands on one! It is only sold in brick-and-mortar boutiques and almost none of the reputed online stores carry it.

The Trapeze is available in many colour combinations, leathers and animal skins and comes in two sizes- small and large. It is carried on your forearm via a rigid leather strap or on your shoulder by a softer shoulder strap. The sides can also be folded in so the bag takes more of a square shape.

So many selections after each season, with the sleek & modern simple design I reckon the Trapeze can be recreated into so many possibilities of colors, textures & prints!

Fab Five: Unhealthy Fashion Habits

2014-04-05T01:24:00.001+03:00

Good evening ladies! As I just posted on Fashionista's Facebook page that wearing my Pajama and a facial mask could only mean that I'm writing a blog, too fancy don't you think?! Not the usual Kardashian style but it works for me.I also added a nerdy glass for inspiration so I'd feel a little smarter lol!

So Let's cut the chat and start the real thing. Bad Fashion Habits! Yes they do exist and we're all victims to these bad habits in a way or another so lets get to know them!

#1 Over Packing a Heavy Bag: You have so much stuff that you think that you need to put in your bag, but most of these things you don't really use.So switch to little side bags and put your essentials in.For example: wallet, glasses, keys and your phone,

#2 Spending too Much Money Shopping: Spend money on great quality pieces when needed, so always check the labels and make sure what you're buying is worth it.

#3 Blindly Following Trends: I think we've all been guilty of this one, something big that all the bloggers and models are wearing so we just obsess over and want to try it on, then you look back and think to yourself oh girl that wasn't cute!Trends are there to give you some inspiration to stay relevant with what's in the fashion industry but at the same time do it your own way.

#4 High Heels: All girls are guilty with that but you have to realize that wearing heels all the time is not good for you! And it's so important to rest your feet since it's bad for your back and it's bad for your posture!

#5 Comparing Yourself to Girls in Magazines: We all have to remember that these models have to look a certain way, what's more important is being fit and healthy for yourself by working out and eating healthy.

Midnight Talk: Let's Get Personal!

2014-03-31T02:37:00.000+03:00

Hey Fashionistas!! How are you all doing?! Long time no see..
Sorry for being the absolute worst blogger on earth but you know what?! I'm back stronger than ever!
It's definitely not a fashion post but I thought why don't we catch up a little?!
I've been doing amazing!! 2014 is being great to me since I decided to open up a little.I met some awesome people and I made so many new friends(Feeling loved)
I'm graduating within a couple of months so things are starting to get really serious and I need to find a job like all the grown ups do lol!!
Fashionista is getting more serious in days, new plans and projects very soon I promise. Non stop invitations for fashion weeks, too bad I cant leave Lebanon because I'm about to graduate (priorities).
I've been working out more than usual, staying organized and studying of course.
My family is doing great we're expecting some new comers and I'm so excited!
My fashion sense has definitely improved, now that I'm happy and at peace with life I have more room in my mind to plan a nice outfit and I've been getting compliments all the time.

So yeah.. That's how I'm doing and I'm sorry for disappearing shame on me lol
But I wish you're all having a good time and enjoying life.. Cause honestly that's why we're here for to enjoy our time and be happy! So smile my gorgeous Fashionistas, you're beautiful.

Fab Five Ways to Dress to Boost Your Confidence

2014-01-31T14:57:00.000+02:00

Hey Fashionistas! Since it's a new year, I decided that I want to share with you something I'm so passionate about, and something that matters to me. It's empowering women and helping them feel confident, powerful and strong. Yes you can do that using Fashion!!

First I want to clarify that confidence comes from within, if you overall have a negative image of yourself, non of this tips will help! We all have insecurities, trust me fashionistas, some days I wake up not the happiest, and we all have these days. Just know that the tips I'm about to give can help in the foundation of your self confidence.

Define your Style: You have to have a strong sense of personality, you have to be self aware of what you like, what kind of clothes really makes you feel yourself the most.

Buy more of the Pieces you Love: This is the easiest thing that I can tell you to do, which is something that I've been doing this past year. I noticed that I have my to go pieces that I'm always grabbing. Buy something that you feel good about wearing, and you'll find yourself having a huge range of clothes that you love.

Highlight your Strengths: Whether it's your waist line, your legs, or you shoulders, highlight these parts. There must be something you like about your body, let it be your strength.

The Special Occasion is Today: We always buy this dress or those shoes and wait for a special occasion to wear it. This occasion may never come, or when it comes that thing is out of style or you don't like it anymore. Everyday is a special occasion, embrace it.

If it doesn't Make you Feel Confident don't Wear it: If you wear it and you're not feeling it, don't wear it and go out! Cause you'll spend the whole time doubting your looks instead of feeling confident and happy. Wear what makes you feel amazing.

10 Ways to Boost your Confidence: LOVE YOUR BODY!

2014-01-31T14:31:00.004+02:00

I know it's kinda late to talk about it.. But hey it's 2014 New Year Fresh Start!
So why not start with self confidence boosters?!!

#1 Stand Tall: Shoulders back, and heart forward! Its an immediate boost to your day, lead your life with your heart, so lean your heart forward, you'll feel a boost of confidence and happiness.

#2 Smile: Smile! It's contagious.. It's hard not to be happy about all the blessings that you have and the things in your life. The great thing about smiling is that it's contagious, it's like if you're smiling you could make someone else smile. And smiling is SEXY!

#3 Walk like you're on a mission: That mission is life! If you walk down the street faster and more confident, you'll get through everyday with more confidence.

#4 Step Out of your Comfort Zone: This means a lot of things! You can go to the front of your fitness class instead of the back, join a new club, or make a new friend.

#5 Be Bold: Wear a red lipstick, it's like your power booster.

#6 Break a Sweat: Working out make you feel confident, and makes you feel damn sexy. It also increases your endorphin and the hormones that make you happy.

#7 Find the Beauty in Others: If you recognize the beauty in others, you can see the beauty in yourself.

#8 Keep it Positive: No negative Talk!! If you catch yourself saying something negative about yourself whether it's to yourself or out loud, correct it and say something amazing about yourself.

#9 Dress to the 9's: Take care of yourself, If you're even going to the grocery store, or you're going for a walk with your girlfriend or anything, dress up a little.

#10 Reward Yourself: A bubble bath, a massage, or a mani padi. Do something for yourself, you deserve it for working so hard and I feel as a woman we are nurturing and we have the tendency to take care of others and we put ourselves last. Take care of yourself first then you're able to give more love for the others.

Fab Five: Tips to Walk in Heels with No Pain

2013-12-16T19:33:00.002+02:00

Hey Fashionistas and welcome back! Today we're going to talk about HEELS!! and how to make them feel comfortable and painless. I'm gonna share with you everything that I know. I've been walking in heels for a while now and I feel for my friends every time they're in pain or their feet hurts that they have to take their shoes off when we go out...So today I'm just gonna share with you couple of the tips that I learned throughout the years, hopefully it's gonna be helpful for you!

Thick heels: Honestly I have a lot of these they are my to go shoes when I have to go to places with a lot of standing, they provide a lot of support, the thicker the heel the bigger the support.

Kitten Heels: I have to admit that kitten heels aren't the most attractive heels especially when there's this tiny little heel that looks kinda weird but you can definitely do kitten heels the right way, they are very comfortable. Sometimes heels can be psychological thing even if it's a little heel you feel more dressed up and more glamorous!

Lace Up Heels: These heels lock the shoe in with amazing comfort and stability, other than that the model is very comfortable.

Fold Over Flats: Always have in your bag a Fold over flats. I know so many girls who walked bare foot out of an event or a club or a party or something like that..That's why I make sure this never happens to me and I always keep in my bag a fold over flats, so no matter what happens I try to avoid this situation and keep the class.

Platform Shoes: They are so much more comfortable than regular heels, they are your best friends, they keep you supported, and it's easier to walk in.I honestly wear heels maybe 80% of the time and the reason for that is that I wear platform heels.

Fab Five: Closet Makeover Tips

2013-11-21T22:17:00.001+02:00

So Today I'm going to talk about several tips that gets your closet clean and sparkling. I want you to love your closet more, I want you to walk in your closet and love it, even if you don't have a walk in closet, if you have a wardrobe, I want you to love it and be inspired with it. Let's get started:

First Step: Clear your closet. Clear everything that is unnecessary, take all your clothes that you haven't wear in a year -it is more likely if you didn't wear it through the whole season that you wont wear it at all- Donate it to a better home, to someone in need or sell it on eBay.

Second Step: Store your summer pieces that you probably wont be able to wear during Winter season, that would clear your closet and give you more space.

Third Step: Organize your jewelry. I cant stress enough of how amazing this is gonna feel. You can be very decorative with storing your jewelry you can hang it up on your closet or decorate it on your vanity, or put it on a shelf, make sure you have your jewelry decor place.

Fourth Step: Get matching hangers. I know this may sound silly, and make sure all your hangers face the same direction -No it is not an OCD problem- when you walk in your closet and see the identical hangers, all facing the same direction, even if your closet is a mess nobody will be able to tell.

Fifth Step: Color Coordinate. Even if you don't have a lot of colors, you can always split your closet into darks and lights, and to me I absolutely love this idea. You can also split your tops into short sleeves and long sleeves, or by white florals and dark, or stripes, lights, and darks.

Those closet makeover tips make it a lot easier to get dressed, it's a lot nicer to look at. Definitely do it!
