During this past year now, I have noticed a big difference in my weight and not in a great way. I know a lot of you all can relate that this pandemic and quarantine has opened your eyes to a lot of things. Don't get me wrong, some things have been great and a good wake-up call and learning experiences. But I know focusing on the positives for just my mental health has let me forget about eating right and getting the exercise I need.</span></div><p>Let's just start from the begging of the pandemic and quartine.</p><p>During the beginning everything was okay and it didn't affect me like it did a lot of people since I stay home anyways with my daughter. We did have some changes like going to the park and the library throughout the week (I do walk to these locations and the Library is already 40 min walk away). So that stopped and just left us with walking sometimes around our neighborhood.</p><p>Another big change has to do with medication. This particular medication is birth control. I don't talk about sexual health on here and maybe that's something that should change, let me know. But I'm very open and birth control can have a lot of changes, that can affect a lot of different things. Before the pandemic, I was on the shot and also known as Depo. This form of birth control has been a big part of my life and a big part of my weight gain and hardship with the effect it has on my body. But I did get off of it during the beginning of quarantine because I didn't want to have to go to the doctor's office just to get a shot. So now I'm on the pill to make a long story short. Like I said if you want to know more, I can film a video or do a whole blog post on the topic.</p><p>Everything didn't hit me till the end of November when I had a doctor's appt. I try hard not to think about the scale before the appt because we all know it's coming. I can remember stepping on that scale and seeing the number and in my head being in disbelief and about to cry. I could not believe I gained 30lbs. But I'm also very happy I have an amazing OBGYN who noticed my weight chart go up and was very nice about understanding what happened and how I can go about fixing this with exercise and good eating habits. Sometimes you just need that understanding person who can relate to you and even share their struggles and what worked to help you out.</p><p>So now you might be wondering, "what's the plan to fix this?" I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to get to a happy-weight place. My main thing now is just applying it. I do want to try some diets out and see how those work for me. The main diet I want to try out is Keto. I have been seeing it around a lot and know carbs are a huge problem I have (the OBGYN also suggested cutting carbs and calories in our long talk). Have you tried keto? I already intermittent fast and I do that naturally. I will be using the Lose It! app to track my meals and my planner to track my weight, water, and steps. I just want this to work, so I can feel comfortable in my body again. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1638" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-G9tVfRArLos/YFeoA7C_U6I/AAAAAAAAJoc/1uKtxOUJsbUFVcaNpiQfwnMrgW131O-IgCPcBGAYYCw/w512-h640/img1616353623301.png" width="512" /></div>FashionShyChildhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08022043772715790443noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858943625086673096.post-14420403731706978382021-01-14T13:30:00.002-08:002021-01-14T13:30:57.871-08:005 Products I'm Testing At The Moment & Loving<p style="text-align: center;"> These products were sent to me complimentary from <a href="http://www.influenster.com/r/108183" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Influenster</a></p><p style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="800" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-v1g3j6OoB9E/X_qFwJGZZeI/AAAAAAAAJeA/n3zjLa9hHiEQxXvD_3N5yBqbqS1iJ8XewCLcBGAsYHQ/w426-h640/5%2Bproducts%2Bim%2Btesting%2Bat%2Bthe%2Bmoment%2Band%2Bloving.png" width="426" /></p><div style="text-align: center;">I went from being the person who knew their skin and what worked for it. To become all confused because it changes every day. I guess you can say I'm on a long road to finding my holy grail products again. But I'm a trooper who has an open mind and testing new products is something I enjoy. I know the dermatologist out there are probably cringing right now but let's talk about these 5 products I'm testing at the moment and loving.</div><div style="text-align: center;">(to be completely transparent, I have been testing these products for over two months)</div><div><br /></div><b>Garnier Smoothing Milk Wash in Hyalu-Melon- </b>I was thinking back to all of the face washes I tried/tested in my life and I have never used something like this before. It's very different in a really good way. Right out the bottle, it's the look and consistency as any other face wash. Once you add water to it and apply it to your face, that's when the magic happens. It smells so good and feels baby soft and gentle. It's a little hard to explain, it's really something that I suggest testing out. I could possibly be a little late to the milk wash game (I know in Asian beauty they have a lot of milk products.) I just really want to test more from this line or something like it because I am really in love. I do use this product mainly in the mornings if you were wondering.<p></p><div><b>Garnier Replumping Serum Cream in Hyalu- Melon- </b>This product goes with the first product I mentioned. I basically refer to it as the little big sister. Only because they go together like peanut butter and jelly. I have tested using using other serum and creams after washing my face with the milk wash and nothing works as good as this product. A little bit goes a really long way. It will fill a little thick at first but when you rub it in smothes out really nicely and leaves a really smooth soft finish.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>ChapStick Total Hydration in Peachy Keen-</b> I was very skeptical about this product at first. Chapstick is a very well known classic brand and that wasn't the problem. It's just usually when I use balms that have a tent it tends to not show in the color it's supposed to be in or t shows it in a color that looks completely horrible on my pigmented lips. Today I'm here to let you know that I didn't have these problems at all with this product or shade. It looks incredible on my lips and iv been wearing it on days where I don't want to go on full lipstick. There is SPF in this product and it is moisturizing but the one negative thing is after a while you will notice it clumping up on your lips. At that point, I wipe it off and then re-apply it. It could also be that my lips are really dry and that's causing it to happen but for the high price of $7USD I don't want any problems. but I still love the product.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Bliss Clear Genius Clarifying Toner + Serum- </b>Completly love the texture and bottle design of this product. For a toner and serum in one, the way that this bottle works is pure genius! All the other ways we have been applying our toner and serums is just really messy and we have learned to just deal with it. Once you start to use this product, you will the have a life changing moment and want all of your products in a bottle like this. I do use this product at night if I'm not using the next product I'm about to mention.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>BareMinerals Skinlongevity Long Life Herb Serum- </b>For the longest time I couldn't figure ou how to take off the cap. It looks like it twist up but really you just pull it off. Out of all the products I mentioned today, this is the one that I fill is doing to most to better my skin and make it look tired. The only thing is I feel like I need the whole line (if there even is one) basically a matching face wash and moisturizer. I feel like if I had those, this could be my holy grail face cleaning products. I cant tell you how much healthier and younger my skin looks after applying this. It also smooths it an I don't get that oily look throughout the day. It is on the pricy side but I'm telling you its worth it.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WbcQTmBqPZg/X_85rxSKXII/AAAAAAAAJiM/x52xVHN03pMBV3SMLFQh_y1NxuAZs4_MACLcBGAsYHQ/s1512/2021-01-09-085543416.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1512" data-original-width="1512" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WbcQTmBqPZg/X_85rxSKXII/AAAAAAAAJiM/x52xVHN03pMBV3SMLFQh_y1NxuAZs4_MACLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h640/2021-01-09-085543416.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>FashionShyChildhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08022043772715790443noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858943625086673096.post-70860247375452115162021-01-13T06:00:00.001-08:002021-01-13T06:00:01.962-08:00January 2021 TBR: What I Will Be Reading<p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="800" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5JyySB3VfqQ/X_5zzSYFgPI/AAAAAAAAJh8/oLMO4AIlCgcW6l_jmTIiXm_uU2bR113UQCLcBGAsYHQ/w426-h640/January%2BTBR.png" width="426" /></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span face="Roboto, Arial, sans-serif" style="background-color: #f9f9f9; color: #030303; font-size: 13px; text-align: start; white-space: pre-wrap;">Hello! But it's a great time to have a fresh positive start. Iv learned a lot in 2020 and I will be sharing more information/details with you in a later post. That being said this is my first post back from my long disappearance. I still feel bad for being gone but I feel like my energy is better now. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">When it comes to my outfit, my style is still the same Urban City Kid. I have been obsessed with two things though. One being this vintage jacket that used to be my dad's back in the day. It's so comfortable and the quality is amazing. The other being The Mandalorian, Grogu (aka The Child) in particular. I have been a Star Wars fan since I was a child. I remember one Christmas I asked my mom for this R2-D2 cassette player. It was absolutely amazing! But yeah, I'm an OG fan. </div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">So My question for you is, "What have you been obsessed with lately?"</div><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1473" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-odgbg9qBf3o/X_vmCHNgqzI/AAAAAAAAJhc/lBtftHPhPwcwrFghW7LJx_A76p2q4u6KQCLcBGAsYHQ/w460-h640/2021-01-10-044357706.jpg" width="460" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1366" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-M1_LUQkyZqU/X_vmAajbOUI/AAAAAAAAJhU/RFPd59hfDdMIIAGxLyho-mUAVsjNCmQCACLcBGAsYHQ/w426-h640/2021-01-10-044353370.jpg" width="426" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1367" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PAJo2lOCA7k/X_vmCzBrzeI/AAAAAAAAJhg/NrGHIvpBWeQ6BJvbjOTgY_23XbxkifhQACLcBGAsYHQ/w428-h640/2021-01-10-044401393.jpg" width="428" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-w3B1Gjp1EYY/X_vl__kqgRI/AAAAAAAAJhQ/5YkmUm9pmzQuEhqJfBmUxNNZ6Amv80vyQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/2021-01-10-043931226.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1367" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-w3B1Gjp1EYY/X_vl__kqgRI/AAAAAAAAJhQ/5YkmUm9pmzQuEhqJfBmUxNNZ6Amv80vyQCLcBGAsYHQ/w428-h640/2021-01-10-043931226.jpg" width="428" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div></div></div>FashionShyChildhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08022043772715790443noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858943625086673096.post-62913170931752745712020-11-17T11:57:00.000-08:002020-11-17T11:57:03.588-08:00Q&A: of my most asked questions<p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-r-n8MMgTQtk/X7MAPvXNOKI/AAAAAAAAJUo/LkRwsX9j-2QdM2ZIfOs-ZbOUNjA1SewWACLcBGAsYHQ/image.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1023" data-original-width="769" height="640" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-r-n8MMgTQtk/X7MAPvXNOKI/AAAAAAAAJUo/LkRwsX9j-2QdM2ZIfOs-ZbOUNjA1SewWACLcBGAsYHQ/w480-h640/image.png" width="480" /></a></div><p style="text-align: center;">(photo from<a href="http://www.fashionshychild.com/2017/11/casual-brand-statement.html" target="_blank"> Casual Brand Statement</a>)</p><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">I decied to take some time out and do this post answering your most asked questions. Then yes, i would definitely start out with a free platform. You never know over time if this is going to be something you really want to do in the long time. and less say six month to a year from now you want to start a new blog/site on a whole other topic. Remember nothing is set in stone and if your site/blog works out and does great you can always move the site over to a different platform.</span></b></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b><br /></b></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>Q: How long have you ever been running a blog for? you make running a blog look easy.</b></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b><br /></b></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>A:<span style="color: #a64d79;"> I have been running this blog since 2012 (even though i started earlier than that but those post are deleted). I know everyone that you see has probably mentioned how this year is flying by so fast, but it really is. In the midst of everyone talking about the Election and Voting, I myself have been on a Harry Potter binge. Don't get me wrong I am a registered voter and have already voted. But since that is done for now I want to hope on Hogwarts Express and just try to enjoy this holiday we have coming. Do you know what you going to be for Halloween and is Halloween still happening where you live?</p>When it comes to my outfit everything is basically from Target. This year we have discovered that there is a closer Target to where we live and we actually prefer it better. The only things that are not from Target are the boots (they are from Walmart) and the glasses are <a href="http://www.fashionshychild.com/2020/08/new-prescription-eyeglasses-from-firmoo.html" target="_blank">prescription from Firmoo</a> and I did a blog post on them.<br /><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eXy5QWmlqdY/X48Vr2Pee0I/AAAAAAAAJS4/ak_f9EHy5uoZ4cHF1yxZXx4b6t7-AE7WQCPcBGAYYCw/s2048/934%2B1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1152" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eXy5QWmlqdY/X48Vr2Pee0I/AAAAAAAAJS4/ak_f9EHy5uoZ4cHF1yxZXx4b6t7-AE7WQCPcBGAYYCw/w360-h640/934%2B1.jpg" width="360" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AeM8dD40BOc/X48Vr854tpI/AAAAAAAAJS8/D2UHc8A3LZ82JX6WKN5yqGGbGcRHOxEzQCPcBGAYYCw/s2048/934%2B2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1152" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AeM8dD40BOc/X48Vr854tpI/AAAAAAAAJS8/D2UHc8A3LZ82JX6WKN5yqGGbGcRHOxEzQCPcBGAYYCw/w360-h640/934%2B2.jpg" width="360" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iGfSpCCtf2A/X48VtsTG20I/AAAAAAAAJTI/48R8NSmWRHAgrY8tFlCfWQfTayz2T_ReQCPcBGAYYCw/s2048/934%2B4.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1152" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iGfSpCCtf2A/X48VtsTG20I/AAAAAAAAJTI/48R8NSmWRHAgrY8tFlCfWQfTayz2T_ReQCPcBGAYYCw/w360-h640/934%2B4.jpg" width="360" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eXy5QWmlqdY/X48Vr2Pee0I/AAAAAAAAJS4/ak_f9EHy5uoZ4cHF1yxZXx4b6t7-AE7WQCPcBGAYYCw/s2048/934%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1152" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eXy5QWmlqdY/X48Vr2Pee0I/AAAAAAAAJS4/ak_f9EHy5uoZ4cHF1yxZXx4b6t7-AE7WQCPcBGAYYCw/w360-h640/934%2B1.jpg" width="360" /></a></div><br />FashionShyChildhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08022043772715790443noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858943625086673096.post-15726073671821606252020-08-28T10:14:00.003-07:002021-01-11T16:19:14.411-08:00New Prescription Eyeglasses from Firmoo<a href="https://www.tomoson.com?code=TOPba48f28c436a119e0767c2c54aec5c27" rel="nofollow" style="display: none;"></a><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">In Partnership with Firmoo, but all opinions are my own.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FI3OYy9WTs0/X0kofHGz04I/AAAAAAAAJPg/1NYJHpniyLERTcKl7i6opYEKHhlcMhvdQCPcBGAYYCw/s1932/image3.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1932" data-original-width="1932" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FI3OYy9WTs0/X0kofHGz04I/AAAAAAAAJPg/1NYJHpniyLERTcKl7i6opYEKHhlcMhvdQCPcBGAYYCw/s640/image3.jpeg" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">When it comes to wearing glasses, having a stylish pair is everything to me. Glasses are my number one main accessory because let's face it, I wear them 24/7 (not when I'm sleeping and showering of course). Another thing that's also important is having multiple pairs because accidents happen.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">I decided to partner with <a href="https://www.firmoo.com" rel="nofollow">Firmoo</a> since the glasses I have been wearing non-stop and you have seen in all of my recent posts have been from them. I can already tell you from experience their glasses are very high quality for an affordable price and there are so many trendy and fashionable styles to choose from.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">These new prescription eyeglasses from Firmoo that I did receive for free for sharing and review are in the style <span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.87); font-size: 15px; white-space: pre-wrap;">S574 Clear<a href=" https://www.firmoo.com/eyeglasses-p-6419.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> https://www.firmoo.com/eyeglasses-p-6419.html</a> . I decided to go with clear this time for a change and I'm so very happy I did I completely love these glasses and they look amazing on. I know one of peoples main concerns is, "how do the glasses fill since they are so very cheap." Well to me they feel just like glasses I have bought for way more money. They have a nice weight to them and they are nowhere near feeling like they are going to break on you. A little FYI, the glasses I have been having from Firmoo for almost 2 years are still in great condition and since they have lasted this long that is a great sign of there quality.</span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.870588235294118); font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: 15px; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></span></div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.87); font-size: 15px; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"> Also right now Firmoo is offering their NEW CUSTOMERS A FREE PAIR OF GLASSES. I go from being super motivated to work out, eat healthily, and losing this weight to putting myself down and feeling like a complete failure when the scale doesn't show much of an improvement. I know this time isn't the right time to be super hard on myself, but if I don't I know things can get out of control really fast.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I have taken the time to pull out the workout clothes I do have, download my favorite healthy apps, and made sure I have a great cardio workout channel bookmarked.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">So my mornings look something like this:</div><div style="text-align: center;">(this is highly simplified, a full day in my life post will b up soon)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">1. Wakeup use the bathroom and weight myself (i only weigh myself on Monday mornings)</div><div style="text-align: center;">2. Add the weight to the <a href="https://happyscale.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Happy Scale</a> app</div><div style="text-align: center;"> 3. Turn on my computer and play a Popsugar Fitness video (my favorite is <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBWQGb4LyAM&t=846s" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this one</a>)</div><div style="text-align: center;">5. Get/drink some water</div><div style="text-align: center;">6. Make a Protein shake (I'm finishing up the <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KS6WULS/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=readingshychild-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B00KS6WULS&linkId=0b318d68c646347f2a1a375bfa6a0b91" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">FitMiss Delight in chocolate.</a> looking for a new one so let me know what one you like)</div><div style="text-align: center;">7. Put Nuri in her stroller and take a walk</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I hope this gave you a nice breakdown of what I do. Am I right? (if I'm not we will figure all that out later) Well, I have brought it back! That being said you should expect some more post testing out beauty products I find at Dollar Tree. It can be a hit or miss depending on what's available.<br /><br />Anyways, during this trip, I was actually looking for something to help with keeping moisture in my hair. My hair has been so dry lately and its really to the point that I don't know what to do. It has also been very hot where I live and that completely isn't helping with anything. I was kinda skeptical I'm not going to lie. Mainly because I have used products from this brand before and the outcome wasn't spectacular or at this point not even basic. If you want you can read that post <a href="http://www.fashionshychild.com/2017/11/dollar-tree-beauty-test-daily-defense.html" target="_blank">HERE</a>.<br /><br />So let's get into the product and its review...<br /><br />The product we will be going over and discussing is Daily Defense Coconut Oil & Vitamin E Deep Conditioner. It stats that its a 3-minute treatment with coconut oil & vitamin e, that has frizz defense, sulfate-free and cruelty-free. I'm cool with all of that and those are some of the things I look for when choosing a product for my hair. What I wasn't cool with is the amount of product when opening the lid. It looked like some product was missing but it could just be the jar is too big for the 5ft oz they give you. Speaking of the 5fl oz, it's not a lot of product, to begin with especially if your a heavy-handed product user like myself or you wash your hair multiple times a week. For myself, I wash my hair once a week on a normal but since it has been more in the summer sweating weather I bumped it up to two times a week. That being said if I wash my hair once a week and use this product once a week I can get a good 6 weeks from the jar or 8 at the most. For a product that cost me $1USD, that really isn't bad!<br />The first thing I do in the shower is wash my hair. That way I can keep the conditioner part in longer since it is going to be in my hair when I'm washing my body and doing anything else I need to do. This deep conditioner smells so good oh my! It's basically a sweet coconut addicting scent. I'm obsessed (i need a candle that smells like this or a body spray) When its time to wash it out it changed the whole texted of my hair. It made it more soft and easy to manage.<br /><br />I guess you can say I love this product and I will be looking for it again the next time I go to Dollar Tree. It's so worth it! But I'm trying to think, it really reminds me of Garnier Fructis hair mask. I have used their masked before and really liked it. I know for sure their color vibrance one is great.</div>FashionShyChildhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08022043772715790443noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858943625086673096.post-13944007620536779562020-05-07T06:00:00.001-07:002021-01-11T16:23:44.077-08:0010 Fun Kid Toys I Highly Recommend<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #5f5f5f; font-family: "lato" , sans-serif; font-size: 16px;">This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links. My thoughts and feelings have been everywhere, I really feel like it's "Me Against The World". There have been so many "Changes" in my life in a short amount of time, that are affecting me emotionally/mentally. During the summer of last year, my grandmother became sick and then later pasted in December. I don't think my family or myself have really processed the whole thing. It's more of a "life Goes On" type of thing to hide the hurt and emotion. Or we are just playing back what she told us to do since we were kids.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Now we have a whole world pandemic, that I know I'm going to need therapy for after... "f*** The World"! Only the "Lord Knows". Every day I have "Temptations" to leave the house and Instagram and store ads ain't helping this trapped situation. We all know its "Check Out Time". I want "know more pain", "Holler If Ya' Hear Me"! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Some of you have been wondering what I have been doing. Well, I have been enjoying this "California Love" hot weather, natural hair, listening to music, trying not to go crazy with my thoughts while "Tradin' War Stories". In the past, I have shared what my reading list for the month would be but with everything going on in my life, getting through the books wasn't always possible. To some that might be an okay thing but for me it has been humiliating and devastating. When I set a goal for myself I do everything I can to get it done.</div><div style="text-align: center;">So you might be asking yourself, so why did you make one this month? Well, I have made it a priority to read the books that I put on my TBR. I have already started some of the books mentioned and I feel positive about finishing them. If you want to know more about the books please take the time to watch the video down below.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><center><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/zWy4mnhSjbY" width="560"></iframe><center> </center></center>FashionShyChildhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08022043772715790443noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858943625086673096.post-69442932573860528322020-03-17T12:37:00.001-07:002021-01-11T16:23:21.358-08:00Messages In Metal Review: What would your message say?<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This product was Gifted by Messages In Metal, but all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ey5h1KJZl0Q/XnD-aYwM2SI/AAAAAAAAJBo/WcAbQi6uSwgsEwOxWkwInrGJ0DjLCP3RACEwYBhgL/s1600/image3.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ey5h1KJZl0Q/XnD-aYwM2SI/AAAAAAAAJBo/WcAbQi6uSwgsEwOxWkwInrGJ0DjLCP3RACEwYBhgL/s1600/image3.jpeg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">A couple of week ago i was contacted by a lovely lady from <a href="https://www.messagesinmetal.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Messages In Metal</a> and asked if i wanted to review one of their pieces. I will say that i am not one to respond fast to emails i get when it comes to reviewing anything because i like to take my time and do my own research on the company to make sure they are legit and something that i would agree with. That being said they had something special right of the bat. That is there companie background.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Messages In Metal is a family owned and operated company based in the United States (Montana to be exact). Everything is Designed, manufactured, packaged and shipped all in Montana. To put the icing on the cake they already have other companies highly rated by the BBB.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">When i saw these facts i agreed and got to pick out a piece to review for you all. I new i wanted something to have my daughters name on it but i wasn't sure what really to pick out. i will say their website is really easy to navigate through but if your as indecisive as i am choosing something couple take some time because of all the different options and styles. But once you do decide everything is smooth from there.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div style="margin: 0px; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">So lets go over what this review is going to cover.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">In this review i will be covering these aspects: Packaging, Product Review with Pros & Cons, My Final Thoughts...Lets get started!</span><br /><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><br /></span><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><b>Packaging:</b> The product is shipped in a white box with black print with the companies name and logo. At first sight it just looks like a normal packaging box for the size of the product im getting. But when it open the box up, thats where everything changes. I was not expecting something so luxuriuse when it comes to the packaging. I was really just expecting a soft fabric envelope of some sort with the necklace in it. But instead it came with a professional polishing cloth, Two squares of buuble rap a box to hold the product box and the product in a nice box. I was so surprised and all i kept thinking was how this would really make a great gift.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><b>Product Review: </b>Since you already know i'm obsessed with the packaging. When i got to see the actual necklace i also cried i was so happy and overwhelmed at the same time. I new what the necklace was going to look like from the beginning since i did pick it out on their website. but pictures really dont do the product justice. It was so beautifully placed, shinny and the beautiful black box made it look even more special. I did pick out the <a href="https://www.messagesinmetal.com/gold-single-ring-personalized-birthstone-necklace/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Gold Single Ring Personalized Birthstone necklace</a>. It is 24K gold platted over anti-tarnish sterling silver and you do get to pick out a birthstone color that is Swarovski gemstone. I wanted something that had my daughters name on it and when i seen this one i thought it was absolutely perfect. Very simple and elegant with enough shine and personality. When it comes to the length of the chain its something that you really dont have to worry about if its going to be long enough or fit. It comes with a 20" matching chain that even has extra length if you need it. The main whole to hook the necklace on was all i needed and it sets perfectly on my chest. When it comes to the weight when wearing it, i'm not going to say you cant fill it because you can. Its not heavy by any means but its not light like cheap costume jewelry either. So there is a little weight and i personally like that when i'm comparing the quality of a product.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><b>Pros-</b> Great packaging, nice customer service, high quality jewelry, family company</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><b>Cons-</b> (no cons at the moment)</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><b>My Final Thoughts:</b> I still cant get over how beautiful and detail oriented everything is. I ordered in the past from a custom necklace shop and doesn't even compare to the quality and experience i had with Messages In metal. Everything is pier perfection and the fact that they are an American based family own and operated company just makes it even more special. I would highly suggest you give the company a chance and experience everything for yourself because you really wont be disappointed. Mothers Day is coming fast and this would make a perfect gift.</span></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fZz4g0ltiZs/XnD-X6PLF-I/AAAAAAAAJBw/c_PoVTuAX7QFsPDvrKB9X4jnWDM7RYcNQCEwYBhgL/s1600/image0.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fZz4g0ltiZs/XnD-X6PLF-I/AAAAAAAAJBw/c_PoVTuAX7QFsPDvrKB9X4jnWDM7RYcNQCEwYBhgL/s1600/image0.jpeg" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OBUHbJmV_wU/XnD-boM_-dI/AAAAAAAAJBs/EwHOKDXS92I1sFgVAKl5geaGCoMaRucrwCEwYBhgL/s1600/image4.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OBUHbJmV_wU/XnD-boM_-dI/AAAAAAAAJBs/EwHOKDXS92I1sFgVAKl5geaGCoMaRucrwCEwYBhgL/s1600/image4.jpeg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-c3n5Xw7sBt4/XnD-c_AmtoI/AAAAAAAAJBc/byePwM-j7OoYCm2BmfhX4xwnvFCSB8dzgCEwYBhgL/s1600/image5.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-c3n5Xw7sBt4/XnD-c_AmtoI/AAAAAAAAJBc/byePwM-j7OoYCm2BmfhX4xwnvFCSB8dzgCEwYBhgL/s1600/image5.jpeg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ygp9GxlQxnw/XnD-dKxA2WI/AAAAAAAAJBw/MFwExcxrK_gZsYAdsc3-cft7RYl5jwHngCEwYBhgL/s1600/image6.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ygp9GxlQxnw/XnD-dKxA2WI/AAAAAAAAJBw/MFwExcxrK_gZsYAdsc3-cft7RYl5jwHngCEwYBhgL/s1600/image6.jpeg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-m4-7QmwClEw/XnD-Yob4gpI/AAAAAAAAJBk/pNwGE7_9ZSsEy0bcdKf67Dq_nD6Q7yKBgCEwYBhgL/s1600/image1.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-m4-7QmwClEw/XnD-Yob4gpI/AAAAAAAAJBk/pNwGE7_9ZSsEy0bcdKf67Dq_nD6Q7yKBgCEwYBhgL/s1600/image1.jpeg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZX920ZvHQcc/XnD-YkQOTCI/AAAAAAAAJBQ/h_Y6pvcbfQ0k96iDQxZXWGnA5Icq8ZtEwCEwYBhgL/s1600/image2.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZX920ZvHQcc/XnD-YkQOTCI/AAAAAAAAJBQ/h_Y6pvcbfQ0k96iDQxZXWGnA5Icq8ZtEwCEwYBhgL/s1600/image2.jpeg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>FashionShyChildhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08022043772715790443noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858943625086673096.post-20828509723850240902020-03-16T11:04:00.002-07:002021-01-11T16:24:29.126-08:00Oh No! What Now?<div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TvPW36VT1ZQ/XmG9sNxvVNI/AAAAAAAAI9k/OsqfBLCU9E0pXfVK0OR_34gfpF14LSj4wCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/friday%2Bthoughts%2Bdaylight%2Bsavings%2Btime.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1394" data-original-width="1159" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TvPW36VT1ZQ/XmG9sNxvVNI/AAAAAAAAI9k/OsqfBLCU9E0pXfVK0OR_34gfpF14LSj4wCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/friday%2Bthoughts%2Bdaylight%2Bsavings%2Btime.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">With everything that is going on in the world right now with COVID-19, the most important thing is to stay healthy and also remember the people that are around you. Its so sad to go out to the grocery stores and see so many items bought up and out of stock. Especially, basics that everyone needs to survive. If you feel the need to buy more than what you need at that time, please share with your elderly/less fortunate neighbor. They probably didn't get a chance to go to the store or wasn't able to find the things they need.<br /><br />Another thing to remember and not be rebellious about is <a href="https://www.insider.com/what-does-social-distancing-mean-how-you-can-practice-it-2020-3" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Social Distance</a>. Its said to do so and put into effect so the virus doesn't spread (or help it not spread so fast). Its going to be hard i know and right now your probably thinking this is the worst thing ever... but its not, trust me it can get worst (aka corintein and being made to stay in the house). This is the time you need to find activities to do inside and be creative. I know for my family, my daughter loves to go outside and going to the park and the library throughout the week. Its something that we always do. But now that has changed! It has been a bit of an easy transition since it has been raining and that eliminates the park altogether. When it comes to the Library, Nuri has so many book already here at the house. So we just have reading time and learning time during those hours. I will share what we do in a day when we get this schedule down. Hopefully sooner than later.<br /><br />Last but not least, if your wondering if i have stocked up on anything the answer is NO. I'm living day by day, i have the things i need for right now and that's it. The only extra thing i have is an extra box of diapers because people think its okay to buy up all the baby items and the last time i was at Costco there was no boxes. but i will keep you updated with ideas and things that we are doing. A little inspiration i think can go a long way.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="122" data-original-width="346" height="111" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1rMaGlMEOTQ/UCMRH_AHO2I/AAAAAAAAHZI/8ENGldkuzLcoNVjkXiBfrJrIL7nfZN7EACPcBGAYYCw/s320/Picture%2B5.png" width="320" /></div><br /></div>FashionShyChildhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08022043772715790443noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858943625086673096.post-17552444366031363922020-03-09T11:10:00.001-07:002021-01-11T16:25:16.210-08:00"Spring Forward", They Say<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8DBPjICiIPA/XmXNp1VU0_I/AAAAAAAAI_w/tPiDmI-SM40MyfIT6qKdcwEqcylXIGsRQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1272" data-original-width="1159" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8DBPjICiIPA/XmXNp1VU0_I/AAAAAAAAI_w/tPiDmI-SM40MyfIT6qKdcwEqcylXIGsRQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/5.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Blouse: Avenue | Jeans: APT. 9 | Shoes:Radii | Purse Target </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I'v never been a fan of Daylights Savings time. It always feels like once i get comfortable and in a great routine, the time has to change. Now i'm all messed up and have to come up with a new routine to fix my time confusion. I guess a post on that will be coming up soon.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Other than this Spring Forward time confusion, i am really happy that spring is coming. This past week i was kind of freaking out because of how hot it was getting. Where i live, if it gets way to hot right now, we know to expect an even hotter summer/fall and i cant with that. But lucky enough it rained on and off the past two days.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">When it comes to my outfit, i have been really into blouses. The only time i could look a little to put together is at the park but i guess i'm that person now (LOL).</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">PS: I love this purse but i have had it for a while now and i feel like i need a new one. It feels just like yesterday she was born, starting to eat real food and learning to walk. So when they say time flies by fast, it really does. That being said for her first birthday i went with a Peppa Pig theme because my daughter is obsessed and she still really is. I wouldn't say it was the easiest theme to go with because last year for some reason it was hard to find Peppa Pig themed items. But this <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FYSTBTJ/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=readingshychild-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B07FYSTBTJ&linkId=b5d1743b3549d9aa48e7d5783fd69fd8" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Peppa Pig themed cupcake maker</a> was amazing and a big hit.<br /><br />Speaking of "big hit" the whole party was and the people that showed up still talk about it and are wondering what i am doing this year. I find it flattering that they enjoyed the time, since it was a budget friendly birthday and Nuri was only turning one. But that makes this year of Nuri turning two more presser on me. In my head i keep wondering a lot of things but the biggest part is, how am i going to top last years party. I feel like a lot of parents go through this and as the child gets older you keep wanting to do better and more. Or maybe that's why i see some parents doing small family parties for when there kids are this young.<br /><br />Im putting a lot of pressure on myself but here is my breakdown so i can figure this out.<br /><br />The three most important parts i know to throwing any party/get together is<br />1. The Theme<br />2. Who's coming/how many people<br />3. Budget<br /><br />I can tell you right now out of the top three important things to breaking this down all i know is who's coming and even on that i only have a prediction. I have been asking Nuri what kind of party she wants when it comes to theme selection and the only ones we know are Blues Clues, Bubble Guppies and Peppa Pig again but doing it 2.0 style. On my part i will look online and see what character already has more theme stuff and go from there. Because or Nuri's first birthday the theme was going to be Bubble Guppies due to the fact that was the first show she ever loved as a baby. But last year (unlike now) Bubble Guppies wasn't anywhere to be found.<br /><br />When i do figure out the character/theme Pinterest is a great site to look on when you need ideas and inspiration. So i would make a board on there (sorry its usually on private). Also i check out Dollar Tree (i love that store so much) because they really do have a great selection on party stuff and it also helps with the budget. If i can get something for $1 and don't have to pay more im all for it!<br /><br />Last but not least, once i have the party part figured out and organized them i will see who can come and how many kids. The last thing you need is thinking 10 kids are coming and 12 show up and you don't have enough goodie bags. That is one of my biggest worries/fears. But other than that Nuri's birthday is April 4th, it falls on a Saturday (im happy about that) and i have a little less than a month to get my stuff together. Lets see how this goes!<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zUoYPxKtK7A/XmKGy1r_iDI/AAAAAAAAI94/Sqmd0sx9BOQwfP-RPqHKLkkHKIAP345BwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/planning%2Bnuris%2B2nd%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="854" data-original-width="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zUoYPxKtK7A/XmKGy1r_iDI/AAAAAAAAI94/Sqmd0sx9BOQwfP-RPqHKLkkHKIAP345BwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/planning%2Bnuris%2B2nd%2B1.jpg" /></a></div><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--2U-UrfR5dg/XmKGyiaAv1I/AAAAAAAAI90/sz4chednCAw3Iz37w4kn6K1sh-UGm1X7ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/planning%2Bnuris%2B2nd%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--2U-UrfR5dg/XmKGyiaAv1I/AAAAAAAAI90/sz4chednCAw3Iz37w4kn6K1sh-UGm1X7ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/planning%2Bnuris%2B2nd%2B3.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SEbmYId_LbU/XmKGzsldtMI/AAAAAAAAI98/UL0gse1-yD8VCoWjna9lkhjXdPhsDJapgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/planning%2Bnuris%2B2nd%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SEbmYId_LbU/XmKGzsldtMI/AAAAAAAAI98/UL0gse1-yD8VCoWjna9lkhjXdPhsDJapgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/planning%2Bnuris%2B2nd%2B4.jpg" /></a></div><span id="goog_498589159"></span><span id="goog_498589160"></span><br /></div>FashionShyChildhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08022043772715790443noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858943625086673096.post-23212600900069688582020-03-02T03:00:00.000-08:002020-03-09T11:11:23.773-07:00Super Tuesday Ready<div class="separator" style="clear: both;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C12aRWbXQAE/XmE4g_BnjdI/AAAAAAAAI84/jvj9QqBUdpk80EEma2xMbiLS4KwSqsVSwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/image0%2B%25282%2529.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1280" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C12aRWbXQAE/XmE4g_BnjdI/AAAAAAAAI84/jvj9QqBUdpk80EEma2xMbiLS4KwSqsVSwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/image0%2B%25282%2529.jpeg" /></a></div>Button Down Top: Old Navy | Shirt: Old Navy | Jeans: Levis | Boots: Walmart | Earrings: BEBE | Lipstick: Revlon "<a href="https://amzn.to/2Tey7Hx" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">coral berry</a>"</div><br /><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Tomorrow is Super Tuesday and as you can read by the title i am Super Tuesday ready. I don't talk about politics on FashionShyChild because i don't feel like its the place for that topic but i will say that i am a registered voter, i prefer voting by mail and my ballet is already in the box as your read this. So, that being said i am Super Tuesday ready! I am a big advocate on people registering to vote though, specifically the younger generation. Don't think your vote doesn't count because everyone's vote does and to see a deference you have to at least try an vote for that change.</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">On to the outfit...</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">When i was wearing this outfit i didn't realize how much of the pieces was from Old Navy. I only noticed as of right now setting down writing this and going to look where all the tags where from. I'm not going to lie, it got to the point that i was like, "if these jeans are from Old Navy i don't know what ima do". I guess that goes to show that i really don't plan out an outfit i really just get dressed and if i feel like taking pictures that's what i will do. </div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">But white jeans is VERY rare for me to wear and now with a busy toddler i don't know what i was thinking. They are very comfortable and really nice quality. Lets be honest there Levis and i wouldn't expect anything less than the best. <i><u>Plus Size Tip:</u></i> If your looking for jeans to last long that are not on the expensive side Levis jeans are the way to go. Especially if your thighs rub together like mine.</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The white top you all have see before because i wore it <a href="http://www.fashionshychild.com/2018/11/cold-shoulder.html" target="_blank">in this post</a>.</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The Revlon lipstick and i have had a hate/love relationship. A couple of years ago it just didn't look good on me ( i was a little bit lighter in skin tone) and now it just works and i love it.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CksPoIvi4MM/XmE4oAgiEGI/AAAAAAAAI88/0lv7owhunkQ46IkoYUSADBrGUfb52o13wCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/image1%2B%25282%2529.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1064" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CksPoIvi4MM/XmE4oAgiEGI/AAAAAAAAI88/0lv7owhunkQ46IkoYUSADBrGUfb52o13wCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/image1%2B%25282%2529.jpeg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d_5GGDJ1UHw/XmE4uwdWCdI/AAAAAAAAI9A/HAylf9n8n90y4XAU-4K2ghKUCHt2j3YDQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/image2.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1064" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d_5GGDJ1UHw/XmE4uwdWCdI/AAAAAAAAI9A/HAylf9n8n90y4XAU-4K2ghKUCHt2j3YDQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/image2.jpeg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yPTaokok64I/XmE4yf5TxGI/AAAAAAAAI9I/p-3nSEfO_mskCKgC7j_PmNH2skYp1L8MQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/image3.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1064" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yPTaokok64I/XmE4yf5TxGI/AAAAAAAAI9I/p-3nSEfO_mskCKgC7j_PmNH2skYp1L8MQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/image3.jpeg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SwhqRacWkcg/XmE41bjxdbI/AAAAAAAAI9M/tS_rh-SigJsr5I2lTzwZ5A9Ot7pGZ9vJwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/image4.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1064" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SwhqRacWkcg/XmE41bjxdbI/AAAAAAAAI9M/tS_rh-SigJsr5I2lTzwZ5A9Ot7pGZ9vJwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/image4.jpeg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>FashionShyChildhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08022043772715790443noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858943625086673096.post-66011735785562151022020-02-04T03:00:00.001-08:002021-01-11T16:25:43.353-08:00Feeling Put Together: Mom Style<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UH7KkMktkgg/Xjj0RcZ8rhI/AAAAAAAAI5U/Z8LPIrBJ234xCjltfN1U7E8nBgsif3U0ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/camo%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1394" data-original-width="1159" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UH7KkMktkgg/Xjj0RcZ8rhI/AAAAAAAAI5U/Z8LPIrBJ234xCjltfN1U7E8nBgsif3U0ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/camo%2B2.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"> Being a mom, its so easy to get caught up in that lazy style. You wake up in the morning, get dressed and you find yourself throwing on a shirt and whatever pants you can fine. Then you just call it a day because your hair is already up in that messy bun you went to sleep in. #momlife But it doesn't have to be this way. I know from experience if you don't change this, you will just keep putting it off. It was at a point that i became that style/look. It changed my whole attitude and mindset. I didn't want to do anything fun and to be honest i wasn't dressed to do really anything presentable. but that all changed when i stared doing one simple thing.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I started picking out my outfit at night... mind blowing right!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Its crazy because going through school i would always do this. Its also one of the reasons you always see me in dark neutrals... it makes life easier sticking to a color scheme. And for an over thinker like myself, i need to use all the hacks i know. Because feeling your best and put together will make mom life that much smoother. So remember your a mom and you still have style.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-X1A58LDb3xc/Xjj0TJLMbaI/AAAAAAAAI5Y/aOQ_qwbMfjAPGK_F9ZGYW0QoYlLJn2VDACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/camo%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1394" data-original-width="1159" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-X1A58LDb3xc/Xjj0TJLMbaI/AAAAAAAAI5Y/aOQ_qwbMfjAPGK_F9ZGYW0QoYlLJn2VDACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/camo%2B4.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cr9Sa3S2Juk/Xjj0RYYzZeI/AAAAAAAAI5Q/cB5evLzFRUo6C8KcLrBnPl_mLBDTyJlrACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/camo%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1394" data-original-width="1159" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cr9Sa3S2Juk/Xjj0RYYzZeI/AAAAAAAAI5Q/cB5evLzFRUo6C8KcLrBnPl_mLBDTyJlrACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/camo%2B3.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Plfl6_Y1B2s/Xjj0RZksHiI/AAAAAAAAI5M/7KAVwrpyYGEaAsA7HNYkwBfFieNGTutUgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/camo%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1310" data-original-width="1139" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Plfl6_Y1B2s/Xjj0RZksHiI/AAAAAAAAI5M/7KAVwrpyYGEaAsA7HNYkwBfFieNGTutUgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/camo%2B1.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>FashionShyChildhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08022043772715790443noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858943625086673096.post-35559731493951177452020-01-20T06:00:00.001-08:002021-01-11T16:25:56.123-08:00Joah Beauty Blur Activator Mineral Primer Review <div style="text-align: center;">I did receive this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_6ClFDFjaSA/XiVPsuHqv9I/AAAAAAAAI3s/wfEmm_flxioCwM2zHDMUqfStNLqfoAFXwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/joah%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_6ClFDFjaSA/XiVPsuHqv9I/AAAAAAAAI3s/wfEmm_flxioCwM2zHDMUqfStNLqfoAFXwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/joah%2B1.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">When it comes to face primers right now, I need them more than ever. I have been testing out a couple from different price points an loving them for their own unique ways. My face routine has changed and I need to do an update post to fill you in about that but long store short, I haven’t been wearing foundation. Ever since I had my daughter my skin has changed so much and has done a full 180. So right now I’m really focusing on the natural or less is more aspect of makeup. That is where a face primer comes in.</span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit;">Today I will be reviewing Joah Beauty blur activating mineral primer that I received</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit;">complimentary from <a href="http://www.influenster.com/r/108183" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Influenster.com</a> . In this post we will be going over packaging, review with pros and cons and my final thoughts. So let’s get started</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit;"><b>Packaging:</b> When it comes to packing this bottle is really pretty. (Especially for a drugstore product and price point) Its light weight and would be okay to travel with, if you don’t mind the bottle being glass. But for you mini fridge users that put your skin care in them, this might be right up your alley just for that factor. The product dos have a pump and a cap and I haven’t noticed and spilling or leak.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b style="color: #222222; font-family: inherit;"><br /></b><b style="color: #222222; font-family: inherit;">Review:</b><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit;"> This primer is very lightweight and breathable. I don’t even notice that it’s even on when wearing it. So I like to start with a clean face, add my moisturizer and then I will go in with a beauty sponge and add this primer. It would great applying it that way and the product just glides on. I would recommend starting out light in amount and building up because the product will thin its self out and go a long way. Another thing to keep in mind, it’s only meant to Blur imperfections. So don’t go in thinking this is a miracle in a bottle and going to cover up imperfections like a concealer or foundation. That’s not what it’s suppose to do. For myself I have large pores around my nose area and I like how this product fills them in. I also like how this primer doesn’t make me look oily. I do only apply a light powder over it and I haven’t tested it with a foundation so I can’t speak for that. But I am highly impress with this product being drugstore but giving results like you spent a lot more.</span></div><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit;"></span><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><b style="color: #222222; font-family: inherit;">Pros-</b><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit;"> price, quality, light weight, blurs, gives face a glow</span></div><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit;"></span><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><b style="color: #222222; font-family: inherit;">Cons-</b><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit;"> none</span></div><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit;"></span><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><b style="color: #222222; font-family: inherit;">My final thoughts:</b><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit;"> I’m so impressed with the overall quality of this primer. It’s just an added bonus that it’s Available at a drugstore price for something that works so well. For me is a makeup bag must! But if anything happens and your in a rush all you have to do is apply this and you will look/feel confident knowing at at least something is blurred.</span></div><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"></span><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rZSJQaCYmwQ/XiVPss6O1wI/AAAAAAAAI3w/KhFBpRVYb_EZWh5qXZfJNISxyTi95jYewCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/joah%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rZSJQaCYmwQ/XiVPss6O1wI/AAAAAAAAI3w/KhFBpRVYb_EZWh5qXZfJNISxyTi95jYewCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/joah%2B2.jpg" /></a></div> <a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vbnPcuCn1EM/XiVPupNKMoI/AAAAAAAAI34/slo_HTkV75ItkGZWvGUk1h3TIWrWIrD5ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/joah%2B5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1223" data-original-width="1600" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vbnPcuCn1EM/XiVPupNKMoI/AAAAAAAAI34/slo_HTkV75ItkGZWvGUk1h3TIWrWIrD5ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/joah%2B5.jpg" /></a><br /><br /> <a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-05oarKW2f8Y/XiVPuSHlTvI/AAAAAAAAI30/IQYJ-wa85ikOtrJK3SS6zSVBbuD5adN2QCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/joah%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-05oarKW2f8Y/XiVPuSHlTvI/AAAAAAAAI30/IQYJ-wa85ikOtrJK3SS6zSVBbuD5adN2QCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/joah%2B4.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OqnzknBfF-E/XiVPsQqFYYI/AAAAAAAAI3o/hj6cBPxtCFI7BvgRRVkCwQ4xpOnLY13cQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/joah%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OqnzknBfF-E/XiVPsQqFYYI/AAAAAAAAI3o/hj6cBPxtCFI7BvgRRVkCwQ4xpOnLY13cQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/joah%2B3.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>FashionShyChildhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08022043772715790443noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858943625086673096.post-16175135896619246142020-01-15T15:24:00.001-08:002021-01-11T16:17:04.279-08:00January 2020 TBR (December 2019 TBR fail)<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links. My main goal in mind was to clear my TBR list and be able to have a fresh start in the New Year. Mainly because I get tired of looking at the same old books that I know nothing about because I haven’t read them and also I like to clear out the books that I know I won’t be reading again or didn’t give it a good rating too for space purposes and just because I didn’t enjoy it maybe someone else will.</span></span></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 20.3px; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div><div style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; color: black;">Well, that didn’t happen and </span><span class="hiddenGrammarError" style="background-color: white; color: black; cursor: pointer;">my</span><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: white;"> </span><span style="background-color: white;">December 2019 </span>TBR<span style="background-color: white;"> was a huge fail. I could say I went through a reading slump but that wasn’t really it. I was very motivated to read, just emotionally I wasn’t there or present. With the lost of my grandmother at the very beginning of the month, it was just down hill from there. Would pick up a book tell myself I can do and after a paragraph it would be put down.... Same goes for audio books. Kinda!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1394" data-original-width="1159" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-P3Ld7kXfwKQ/Xhv41O1ej3I/AAAAAAAAI2g/zpQd911Oe_gVAb0WBYHi5KK5qOGvqPdpQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/new%2Byear%252C%2Bnew%2Bme%2B3.jpg" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I'm in the New Year, New Me mindset. That you probably have already noticed from reading my <a href="http://www.fashionshychild.com/2020/01/2020-goals-and-resolutions.html" target="_blank">2020 Goals and Resolutions</a> post. There is a lot of things i want to work on and do better at. but i know it will take time, planning and overall effort on my behalf. I'm off to a good start, in the right direction by at least getting a post up today... Yay Me! I have taking some time to come up with ideas and plan a few thing out. That being said this week will be packed with information that goes along the lines of my goals an resolutions. But if there is anything else you would like me to talk about or cover let me know. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Lets talk about this outfit...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It has been feeling so weird getting dressed after this holiday vacation. let alone doing my hair i look like a whole new person and yes i did cut it. Its way easier to manage now and I'm so happy to have cut away the dead ends and color. Little changed like that make me happy and make me feel like getting more done. The other newest part is my shoes. This style is something different and not what i would normal gravitate too. (let me tell ya, when i was in the store i seen so many cute shoes i really wanted and they all had my size. If you have big feet like me this is a dream come true) But i needed nice shoes for my grandmas funeral and this was the only appropriate looking pair. With the start to this new decade, I can only think about my hopes, dreams and goals for what the future will bring. There is also a lot of self reflection on this past year and how things just didn’t go how I wanted them too. One of the biggest things that has been bugging me and making me feel like a total failure is not writing or staying consistent with my blog. Fashion Shy Child really does mean a lot to me and having this space to share my thoughts, feelings and opinions really does help me a lot and I hope it does the same for you.</span><br style="color: black; text-align: start;" /><br style="color: black; text-align: start;" /><span style="color: black;">This year I decided to call this post goals & resolutions. Because I’ve noticed in the past I would come up with vague resolutions and not have a plan in site on how I was going to achieve them. Note this year boo! I want to come up with a plan for everything, and we can ride this journey together. So let’s get into what my resolutions and goals are for 2020</span></span></div><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="color: #454545;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span></span><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="color: #454545;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"><b>1.
