In March 2009 the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano Handling GT Evoluzione was officially released on the market at the Geneva Motor Show. It took them three months to change the name of this car and they finally named it the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE Sport Package

Only the Ferrari fans can detect the changes between the standard 599 and this HGTE package because on the outside the only changes consist in new exhaust tips, 20-inch wheels, a tweaked fascia, rear diffuser and the embroidered “Handling GTE” logo on the sport seats.

Under the hood the car features a new magnetorheological suspension, uprated tires, revised springs and a modified anti-roll bar.

To sum up all the above, the Ferrari 599 GTB HGTE Sport package can be your right now for $42,000. What more can you wish for?

Here’s a receipt for disaster: a car manufacturer takes a successful small vehicle and turns it into a bigger and heavier one. Nothing good can come out from this and time proved this theory right. But for any rule there’s an exception. In our case this exception is the Mazda MX-5.

The Japanese manufacturer registered very good sales with this model and that’s why they decided to unveil its kit brother: the MX-2.

The rumors flying around say that the MX-2 (to be released in 2012) will be smaller than the Miata and will ride on an 700cc 1.6-liter engine delivering 160 horsepower.

Sticky Door Handles On 44,000 Saturn Vue Crossovers

2008 was not one of the best years in Saturn Vue’s history because a few days ago GM decided to recall at the factory no less than 44,451 models. Why? Because all these units have body-color door handles and according to the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) this will keep the door from latching properly.

If a door wont’s latch the unbelted passenger sitting near it can fall on the street.

These type of doors are a big no no and no one can argue with that. Safety is the most important factor that must be taken into consideration while driving.

This recall will go into full effect by the 18th of August so… hurry up!

BMW 7 Series M Sport

A few very interesting images of the BMW 7 Series M Sport model just leaked on the Internet.

The car respects every single pattern ever imposed by BMW. It’s a classic M Sport model that makes the entire 7 Series proud.

As you can see from the picture below, the car features a “bad to the bone” look with fascias front and rear, new wheels, M footrest, M shifter and obviously an M steering wheel. According to some people the 7 Series M Sport will run on the new 3.0-liter, twin-turbo diesel engine delivering 306 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque.

BMW Presents A More Naughty Version Of The Twin-Turbo 3.0-Liter Diesel

A bigger and better version of BMW’s 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder diesel engine has just been announced on the market by the German manufacturer.

This new monster features pretty much the same displacement but the European is now faster than before because it rides on 306hp and boasts with 442 lb-ft of torque not to mention that the fuel consumption and the CO2 emissions are now down by 4%.

When it comes to the fuel injection system there is only one thing that we can say: without any doubt this is the latest generation common rail system with a 2,000 BAR (29,000 psi) injector pressure for better metering of the fuel flow.

Unfortunately for the BMW fans living in US the engine won’t travel there any time soon because the manufacturer has just released there a version of their previous engine with US legal after-treatment systems.

Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang

Lee Iacocca is a very important name on Ford Mustang’s walk of fame but i guess you already know that. I case you didn’t, you should know that Iacocca was the former president of the Ford division and together with Carroll Shelby he managed to create the most beautiful wild horses in the entire auto world.
After 45 successful years, Iacocca build his own model: the 2009 1/2 Iacocca 45th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang. This pretty baby shows off a Michael Leone body, a very sexy fastback look, a reworked front end and 20-inch Iacocca Design wheels running on Goodyear Eagle tires.
On the inside, the car has Iacocca-badged aluminum door sill plates, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with embroided "I" logos and obviously Diamond Design leather seats.
Under the hood lies a 14-inch front brake system and a riderless 4.6-liter V8 engine (400hp).
Only 45 units of the Iacocca 45th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang will be released on the market and they will only be sold by Galpin Ford in Southern California.

Renault Announced 3 EVs For This September

Especially for the Frankfurt Motor Show Renault announced a special release: they are planning to unveil a trio of electric vehicles and an all new model concept.

Rumors say that this latter will use the Renault and Nissan platform and will be officially introduced in show-rooms in 2010. According to Christian Steyer – Renault development chief, this new car will display a beautiful and unique look that will delight everyone.

Together with these 3 EVs, Renault will also show off in Frankfurt electric conversions of the Megane and Kangook, battery swapping equipment and fast charging technology.

Last but not least, you should know that Renault Megane EV will be available in stores all over Israel under the Renault-Nissan partnership with Better Place.

Audi TTS Engine For Porsche’s Boxster?

Folks over at Porsche are pretty confident about the financial crisis but extra insurance is always welcomed. That’s why they are planning to release on the market a cheaper version of the already famous Boxster.

The Auto Motor & Sport website wrote that Porsche is thinking about using the Audi TTS engine. This powerful 2.0-liter baby can deliver 272 hp and 258 lb-ft. In other words, this new Boxster will bring 17hp and 45 lb-ft of torque into the game.

The most amazing thing about this piece of news is that the price for this vehicle will drop down from €46,500 ($64,000) to €40,000 ($55,000).

It’s true, the TTS engine is not a boxer engine but even so, this seems to be a pretty nice idea and we can’t wait to see it on the streets.
