Long awaited, I know. This is my post-muddy roots episode, though I didn't manage to get through nearly enough of that material in an hour. I got to talk with Billy Joe Shaver before his show at the Muddy Roots and I managed to record some of that interview, though it was backstage and chaotic and the sound quality leaves something to be desired. This episode also includes music by Whitey Morgan and the 78s, Pearls Mahone, Polly Punkneck, Miss Izzy Cox, the Pogues, Waylon Jennings, the Hank and Hank segment, Dale Watson, Kris Kristofferson and others. Addendum/footnote: the Dale Watson song on this album, 'Way Down Texas Way' just shares a title a Billy Joe Shaver tune. This one was not written by him. Forgive my confusion. Its still a great song.
