Is it just me or does it seem like there have been a lot of viruses and bugs going around this year? Between Swine Flu, outbreaks of MRSA and so many other things, its almost frightening to go outdoors. EVERYTHING seems to be getting us sick these days.

I trained for three weeks in the Mojave Desert at a horrible little sand pit near Barstow, CA. It was the most stress I've been put under since I was at a Military School, but I'm happy that I got through it and survived! Surprisingly enough, my sunglasses got through it as well.

My Wiley-X PT-1 Sunglasses were dropped, stepped on, thrown at a wall, jammed between my ACH (the helmet) and my IBA (body armor) on more than just a few occasions. They were worn several hours a day against sand storms, rain and blistering 120 degree weather and the only damage is a small, barely noticable gash on the nose piece (not the lens, the nose piece!)
