Gov website named design of the year

This very simplistic govenment website has been named Design of the Year 2013. This is not website design of the year but the award from the design museum. Previous winners include the London 2012 Olympic Torch and the Plumen lightbulb so it is surprising to see a website up there, let alone a website so mild mannered and simple as this UK government website but then maybe that is the point?

I always forget how to do round cornered triangles in illustrator but it really is very simple. Create a normal sharp edged triangle
Go to effect > stylize > round corners
Go to object > path > expand appearance Easy!
