وَشُرِعَتْ صَلَاةُ كُسُوفِ الشَّمْسِ فِى السَّنَةِ الثَّانِيَّةِ مِنَ الْهِجْرَةِ وَصَلَاةُ خُسُوفِ الْقَمَرِ فِى السَّنَةِ الْخَامِسَةِ مِنَ الْهِجْرَةِ فِى جُماَدَى الْأَخِرَةِ عَلَى الرَّاجِحِ

“Shalat gerhana matahari disyariatkan pada tahun kedua Hijriyah, sedangkan shalat gerhana bulan menurut pendapat yang kuat (rajih) pada tahun kelima Hijriyah bulan Jumadal Akhirah,” (Lihat Ibrahim al-Baijuri, Hasyiyah al-Baijuri, Hasyiyatus Syeikh Ibrahim al-Baijuri, Indonesia, Darul Kutub al-Islamiyyah, 1428 H/2007 M, juz I, halaman 434).

“Menurut kesepakatan para ulama (ijma`) hukum shalat gerhana matahari dan gerhana bulan adalah sunah mu’akkadah. Akan tetapi menurut Imam Malik dan Abu Hanifah shalat gerhana bulan dilakukan sendiri-sendiri dua rakaat seperti shalat sunah lainnya,” (Lihat Muhyiddin Syaraf An-Nawawi, Al-Majmu’ Syarhul Muhadzdzab, Kairo, Darul Hadits, 1431 H/2010 M, juz VI, halaman 106).

Pendapat ini didasarkan pada firman Allah swt dan salah satu hadits Nabi saw. Allah ta’ala berfirman,

وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ لَا تَسْجُدُوا لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلْقَمَرِ وَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُنَّ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ

“Sebagian tanda-tanda kebesaran-Nya ialah malam, siang, matahari, dan bulan. Jangan kalian bersujud pada matahari dan jangan (pula) pada bulan, tetapi bersujudlah kalian kepada Allah yang menciptakan semua itu, jika kamu hanya menyembah-Nya,” (QS Fushilat [41]: 37).

إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَكْسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ اَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ وَلَكِنَّهُمَا آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ تَعَالَى فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمَا فَقُومُوا وَصَلُّوا

“Sungguh, gerhana matahari dan bulan tidak terjadi sebab mati atau hidupnya seseorang, tetapi itu merupakan salah satu tanda kebesaran Allah ta’ala. Karenanya, bila kalian melihat gerhana matahari dan gerhana bulan, bangkit dan shalatlah kalian,” (HR Bukhari-Muslim).

Adapun tata cara shalat gerhana adalah sebagai berikut,
1. Memastikan terjadinya gerhana bulan atau matahari terlebih dahulu.
2. Shalat gerhana dilakukan saat gerhana sedang terjadi.
3. Sebelum shalat, jamaah dapat diingatkan dengan ungkapan,”As-Shalâtu jâmi'ah.”
4. Niat melakukan shalat gerhana matahari (kusufus syams) atau gerhana bulan (khusuful qamar), menjadi imam atau ma’mum.

أُصَلِّيْ سُنَّةً لِكُسُوْفِ الشَّمْسِ / لِخُسُوْفِ الْقَمَرِ اِمَامًا / مَأْمُوْمًا لِلّهِ تَعَالَى

5. Shalat gerhana dilakukan sebanyak dua rakaat.
6. Setiap rakaat terdiri dari dua kali ruku’ dan dua kali sujud.
7. Setelah ruku’ pertama dari setiap rakaat membaca Al-Fatihah dan surat kembali.
8. Pada rakaat pertama, bacaan surat pertama lebih panjang daripada surat kedua. Demikian pula pada rakaat kedua, bacaan surat pertama lebih panjang daripada surat kedua.
9. Setelah shalat disunahkan untuk berkhotbah.

Hal yang sebaiknya diperhatikan adalah dalam soal ruku’nya. Ruku’ yang pertama dalam rakaat pertama lebih panjang dari yang kedua. Menurut keterangan yang terdapat dalam kitab-kitab fikih madzhab Syafi’i, pada ruku’ pertama membaca tasbih kira-kira lamanya sama dengan membaca seratus ayat surat Al-Baqarah, sedang ruku’ kedua kira-kira delapan puluh ayat.

Begitu seterusnya dalam rakaat kedua. Untuk ruku’ pertama pada rakaat kedua membaca tasbih lamanya kira-kira sama dengan membaca tujuh puluh ayat surat Al-Baqarah, dan ruku’ keduanya kira-kira lamanya sama dengan membaca lima puluh ayat.

Mengenai sujud memang ada yang mengatakan tidak perlu lama. Tetapi pendapat ini menurut Muhammad az-Zuhri al-Ghamrawi pendapat yang sahih adalah pendapat yang menyatakan bahwa sujud juga lama. Pertanyaanya, berapa lamanya sujud?

Jawaban yang tersedia adalah lamanya kira sama seperti lamanya ruku’. Dengan kata lain, sujud pertama dalam rakaat pertama membaca tasbih lamanya kira-kira seratus ayat surat Al-Baqarah dan untuk sujud kedua kira-kira lamanya sama dengan membaca delapan puluh ayat.

Sedang sujud pertama dalam rakaat kedua lamanya kira-kira sama dengan membaca tujuh puluh ayat surat Al-Baqarah, dan sujud kedua dalam rakaat kedua lamanya sama dengan membaca lima puluh ayat. Di samping itu bacaan surat dalam shalat sunah gerhana matahari boleh dipelankan, boleh juga dikeraskan, tetapi disunahkan pelan. Dalam shalat gerhana tidak ada adzan dan iqamah.

وَيُسَبِّحُ فِي الرُّكُوعِ الْأَوَّلِ قَدْرَ مِائَةٍ مِنَ الْبَقَرَةِ وَفِي الثَّانِي ثَمَانِينَ وَالثَّالِثِ سَبْعِينَ وَالرَّابِعِ خَمْسِينَ تَقْرِيبًا فِي الْجَمِيعِ وَلَا يَطُولُ السَّجَدَاتِ فِي الْأَصَحِّ قُلْتُ الصَّحِيحُ تَطْوِيلُهَا ثَبَتَ فِي الصَّحِيحَيْنِ وَنَصَّ فِي الْبُوَيْطِىُّ أَنَّهُ يَطُولُهَا نَحْوَ الرُّكُوعِ الَّذِي قَبْلَهَا وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ فَالسُّجُودِ الْأَوَّلِ كَالرُّكُوعِ الْأَوَّلِ وَهَكَذَاوَتُسَنُّ جَمَاعَةٌ أَىْ تُسَنُّ الْجَمَاعَةُ فِيهَا وَيُنَادَى لَهَااَلصَّلَاةُ جَامِعَةٌ وَيَجْهَرُ بِقِرَاءَةِ كُسُوفِ الْقَمَرِ لَا الشَّمْسِبَلْ يُسِرُّ فِيهَا لِأَنَّهَا نَهَارِيَّةٌ

“Bertasbih dalam ruku’ pertama kira-kira lamanya seperti lamanya membaca seratus ayat dari surat Al-Baqarah, ruku’ kedua delapan puluh ayat, ketiga tujuh puluh ayat dan keempat lima puluh ayat. Saya berpendapat bahwa pendapat yang sahih adalah memanjangkan sujud sebagaimana dalam hadits sahih yang diriwayatkan Bukhari-Muslim dan pendapat imam Syafi’i yang terdapat dalam kitab Mukhtashar Al-Buwaithi bahwa ia memanjangkan sujud seperti memanjangkan ruku’ yang sebelum sujud. Wallahu a’lam. Karenanya, sujud yang pertama itu panjangnya seperti ruku’ yang pertama begitu seterusnya. Shalat gerhana matahari sunah dilaksanakan secara berjamaah dan diseru dengan ungkapan ash-shalâtu jâmi’ah. Disunahkan meninggikan suara ketika membaca surat dalam shalat gerhana bulan, bukan gerhana matahari bahkan memelankan bacaan suratnya karena shalat gerhana matahari merupakan shalat sunah yang dilakukan siang hari,” (Lihat Muhammad Az-Zuhri Al-Ghamrawi, As-Sirajul Wahhaj, Beirut, Darul Ma’rifah, tt, 98).

Setelah selesai shalat, dilanjutkan dengan dua khutbah sebagaimana khotbah Jumat. Namun jika shalat sunah gerhana matahari dilakukan sendirian, tidak perlu ada khotbah. Begitu juga jika semua jamaahnya adalah perempuan. Tetapi jika ada salah satu dari perempuan tersebut yang berdiri untuk memberikan mauidlah tidak ada masalah (la ba’sa bih).

(وَيَخْطُبُ الْإِمَامُ) أَيْ أَوْ نَائِبُهُ وَتُخْتَصُّ الْخُطْبَةُ بِمَنْ يُصَلِّي جَمَاعَةً مِنَ الذُّكُورِ فَلَا خُطْبَةَ لِمُنْفَرِدٍ وَلَا لِجَمَاعَةِ النِّسَاءِ فَلَوْ قَامَتْ وَاحِدَةٌ مِنْهُنَّ وَوَعَظَتْهُنَّ فَلَا بَأْسَ بِهِ كَمَا فِى خُطْبَةِ الْعِيدِ

“Kemudian imam berkhotbah atau orang yang menggantikan imam. Khotbah dikhususkan bagi orang laki-laki yang yang mengikuti shalat tersebut secara jamaah. Karenanya, tidak ada khutbah bagi orang yang shalat sendirian juga bagi jamaah perempuan, (akan tetapi, pent) jika salah satu dari jamaah perempuan berdiri dan memberikan mauidlah, tidak apa-apa sebagaimana dalam khotbah shalat ‘ied,” (Lihat Ibrahim Al-Baijuri, Hasyiyatus Syeikh Ibrahim Al-Baijuri, Indonesia, Darul Kutub Al-Islamiyyah, 1428 H/2007 M, juz I, halaman 438).
