It is the debut single overall from his major label debut album, The Slim Shady LP. The song was ranked at #26 on "VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of the 90's"."My Name Is" also was ranked #6 on Q Magazine's "1001 Best Songs Ever".[2] Debuting on January 21, 1999, the My Name Is music video eventually reached the #1 position on MTV's Total Request Live (TRL), making Eminem the first rapper to reach the top spot. Other Versions Producer Dr. Dre wanted to use a sample of Labi Siffre's "I Got The ..." for the rhythm track; as revealed in the sleeve notes of the re-mastered CD of the source album, Remember My Song, Siffre, who is openly gay, stated, "attacking two of the usual scapegoats, women and gays, is lazy writing. If you want to do battle, attack the aggressors not the victims." Eminem made lyric changes and Siffre cleared the sample. There are currently three different versions available. The "clean" and "explicit" versions are available on iTunes. There is also another version which is more explicit than the one available on iTunes, released as the B-side to "Lose Yourself" on the CD single. That song detailed the experiences of Treach growing up in poverty, and now rising up to live a better life. Powered by the success of that song and "OPP", their self titled album went platinum.
Check out our "NEW" website for more music videos at www.bvmtv.com Roberto Flores (born September 23, 1975), best known by his stage name Lil Rob, is a Mexican American rapper, actor and music producer. Roberto Flores was born in tramo dos, and grew up in the La Colonia area of Eden Gardens, an upscale neighborhood near Solana Beach, California. In the early 1990s, he began performing under the name Lil Rob and the Brown Crowd, and recorded a single titled "Oh What a Night in the 619." Though it did not chart, it was later featured on his 1997 debut album Crazy Life, with the title shortened to "Oh What a Night." In 1994, his chin was shattered when he was shot in the jaw and in the eye later. During his career, Lil Rob has collaborated with fellow Chicano rappers Mr. Shadow, Mr. Sancho, and OG Spanish Fly, and mainstream artists such as Paul Wall, The Game, E-40, and Pitbull. Lil Rob and Mr. Shadow were in a group called "The Mahem Click". The numbers twelve and eighteen, which are tattooed on his forearms, represent the numeric value of the letters L and R, the initials of his stage name. The number was used during his days as a graffiti tagger. In 2002, Lil Rob left Low Profile Records and signed in to Upstairs Records. He found commercial success with the 2005 release Twelve Eighteen, Pt. 1, in which the single "Summer Nights" received national airplay, a first in his career. "Summer Nights" peaked at #36 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #13 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart.[5 ...<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/FatcatvideonetBvmUndergroundHipHopVideoFeed/~4/CrObvHLUk_c" height="1" width="1"/>

The Conscious Daughters - Sticky Situation (HD)

Check out our "NEW" website for more music videos at www.bvmtv.com The Conscious Daughters, who emerged in the socially aware, Afrocentric milieu of early-'90s Bay Area hip-hop, were a female rap duo from Oakland consisting of Carla Green and Karryl Smith. Ultra-political, militant hip-hopper Paris championed the pair early on and helmed their 1993 debut, Ear to the Street, producing and writing all of the tracks and (along with engineer Eric Valentine) playing on them as well. The themes echoed the "thug-life" sentiments of much of the West Coast hip-hop at the time, employing a distinctly women's perspective (particularly on tracks such as "Princess of Poetry," "Wife of a Gangsta," and "Crazybitchmadness"). Ear to the Street is the debut album released by hip hop duo The Conscious Daughters. It was released on November 30, 1993 for Scarface Records, distributed by Priority Records and produced by legendary rapper, Paris. Ear to the Street was a success on the billboard charts, it made it to 126 on the Billboard 200, 25 on the Top R&B Albums chart and 7 on the Top Heatseekers. Also two singles made it to the Billboard charts, "Somethin' To Ride To (Fonky Expedition)" and "We Roll Deep". Track Listing: "Princess of Poetry" "Shitty Situation" "TCD In Da Front" "Somethin' To Ride To (Fonky Expedition)" "We Roll Deep" "Showdown" "Wife of A Gangsta" "Dex Dog" "Crazybitchmadness" "Da Mac Flow" "What's A Girl To Do?"<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/FatcatvideonetBvmUndergroundHipHopVideoFeed/~4/vhCub4YUFa0" height="1" width="1"/>

Bloods & Crips - Steady Dippin' (HD)

Check out our "NEW" website for more music videos at www.bvmtv.com Bangin' on Wax is the first album by Bloods & Crips. The album was released in 1993 for Dangerous Records. Bangin' on Wax was a success, making it to #86 on the Billboard 200. Four singles were released "Bangin' on Wax", Piru Love, Crip, Crip, Crip and Steady Dippin'. The album has sold over 500000 copies, reaching Gold status. History The Bloods & Crips project was organized by producer Ronnie Phillips and rapper Tweedy Bird Loc, who is a Kelly Park Compton Crip himself.[1] Actual gang members, Crips from Compton and Long Beach, Bloods from Inglewood and Los Angeles auditioned for the group and the best ones were chosen for the album. In 1993 the Bloods & Crips released their debut album entitled Bangin' on Wax for Warlock Records. One year later, the groups second and final studio album, Bangin' on Wax 2... The Saga Continues was released. After Bangin' on Wax 2, the Bloods & Crips parted ways, with the Bloods becoming the Damu Ridas and the Crips became the Nationwide Rip Ridaz. The idea behind the albums was to get the gang members to bang (slang for fight) on wax (ie, record) and not in the streets. Each record consisted of a "B" side and a "C" side. The B side consisted of Bloods and the C side consisted of Crips. The song "Bangin On Wax" was the only song where the Bloods & Crips rapped together in the original album. Most of the songs were written and recorded in the same studio session. He was one of the founding members of the Wu-Tang Clan, a Hip-Hop group from Staten Island, New York that rose to mainstream prominence with their 1993 debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). After establishing the Wu-Tang Clan, Ol' Dirty Bastard went on to pursue a successful solo career. However, his professional success was hampered by erratic personal behavior and frequent legal troubles, including incarceration. He died in late 2004 of an accidental drug overdose, two days before his 36th birthday.Prior to his death, ODB managed to record his first solo album since 1999, which has been repeatedly reshelved. Jones was often noted for his trademark microphone techniques and his "outrageously profane, free-associative rhymes delivered in a distinctive half-rapped, half-sung style".[5] His stage name was derived from the 1980 martial arts film Ol' Dirty and the Bastard, the relevance of which was articulated by Method Man's assertion that there was "no father" to Jones' style.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/FatcatvideonetBvmUndergroundHipHopVideoFeed/~4/64nWnUjuyfM" height="1" width="1"/>
