Central Islip, NY group MJT presents "One Way", their first single from their forthcoming EP Hour Glass. Formerly known as the Michael Jazz Trio, twenty-year old bassist Matthew Godfrey, eighteen-year-old vocalist/multi-instrumentalist David Godfrey and fourteen-year-old drummer Jo Jo Godfrey blend funk and r&b with a jazz foundation, have multiple wins at Harlem's Apollo Theatre under their belts, and have performed on the Jazz on the Vine Series (watch MJT perform live). "It's about the way I view life," David says of the new record. "It's about how easy it is to lose yourself in any industry or job. I wrote how I felt at the moment and off personal experiences."

Jimmy Ruffin Passed Away in Las Vegas

Jimmy Ruffin, the Motown legend whose hits include "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted" and "Hold on to My Love," passed away Monday in a Las Vegas hospital. He was 78.

Philicia Ruffin and Jimmy Lee Ruffin Jr., the late vocalist's kids, affirmed Wednesday that Ruffin had passed away. There were no insights about the reason for death.

Ruffin was David Ruffin's older brother Temptations lead vocalis, who passed way in 1991 at age 50.

"Jimmy Ruffin was a rare type of man who left his mark on the music industry. My family in its entirety is extremely upset over his death" said Philicia Ruffin and the Ruffin family.

"We will treasure the many fond and wonderful memories we all have of him."

Ruffin worked with his brother David in the 1970s on his album, "I Am My Brother's Keeper."

Memorial service plans are pending.

So The Aaliyah Biopic... mmm

First off Biopic are supposed to elevate the artist to legend status if they are not already there yet and this does not. There are a-lot of reasons to hate this movie but the fact that we hate this movie shows we really did love Aaliyah.

So Here my list first Her Music

1. This i blame the family we lost her many years ago and it seems they were waiting for a big epic movie about her life and that just wasn't happening. When they knew this film was going ahead with or without them they should of worked with the producers to make a better film about Aaliyah.

2. There were to many things in her short life that if you were making a tv movie it should of been a mini series because it felt so rushed and incomplete we got no real interaction with timberland and Missy, didn't see anything about the apparent love triangle with dame dash and Jay-z. I mean its lifetime the network for drama and what i just saw was an after-school special.

3. CASTING>>>>> Did they really think this was the right cast it felt like they were punking us.
R-Kelly was a wrong Timberland was wrong Missy was wrong dame was wrong there was no Jay-Z these are the relationships we wanted to see but bad casting and no music made it hard to find Aaliyah at all in this movie

Don't get me wrong if i threw out the fact that this movie is about Aaliyah i enjoyed it if felt like a movie i would watch after school when i was in high school but NOT AN AALIYAH BIOPIC
