While I was working on the post for the darling shirt from Gawk I was really hoping that my other favorite shirt would get appliers for the tangos. Then it did! I love the Darling Shirt as well as the long Foral tops. And now I can wear my tangos, love my top and just show them about. I got the appliers for the top I already bought, the brown one. So while I was at it, I bought a new top with the new appliers and I love both of them! Thank you so much Mell for coming up with this fantastic idea. Check it out if you can, it was the perfect way to bring the classic top to a more modern stance (even though its not that old anywho lol).

This weeks Disney Challenge is Flotsam & Jetsam from The Little Mermaid. When I first saw this I was like 0.0' But I like to think I did well. I enjoy seeing all the different outfits that are currently out for this challenge. I knew that because they are twins I actually wanted my character to be wearing the same thing. Then I had the idea to just have my two characters be me! While I was doing Fifty Linden Friday's I found this dress and knew I wanted to use it. My SL Guilty Confessions Meme

1. I wear what I can't in real life : So Second Life is a fantastic place. You can create anything, and wear anything. For me that is amazing. I am a bigger sized girl, most people can't guess my wight (they usually think I am lighter), but I am a size 14-16 with a huge chest. I can't fit into top properly, and wish I didn't have to wear a bra with everything. I love empire waist, especially dresses, but on me, in real life, I would look like a tent. In Second Life I can wear whatever I want. I mean more then slutty type clothes but anything whatsoever, and really almost everything can fit!

2. I wish I were ginger with green eyes : I have had ginger hair before in real life but that was a long time ago (almost three years now). I do miss my ginger hair but right now in my life I just don't have the money to keep up with that any more. I am from Irish heritage and would love the fiery red hair and blazing green eyes, just to go with my personality.

3. I judge people : I don't have a problem admitting it. It is completely human and it drives me crazy that people are trying to be all high and mighty saying they never judge people. For example, I might look at someone that is over three years old and be wondering what is up with their avatar, when they look like they are three months old. Now, me judging people is not always bad. I see how much potential a person could have. Or judging someone the deciding how amazing someone is. I don't understand how judging someone has to be negative.

4. I am willing to talk to any one : I am known among my friends for being willing to talk to anyone. New people, strangers and people that are considered famous. I love networking and making friends. I also love being able to provide for friends and such, like with their businesses or sims.

5. Sometimes I wonder if I am wasting my life in Second Life : I love Second Life! I have been playing since the end of 2007. Since then I have live in Mississippi, England, Colorado, and Arizona. I have also had a baby (who will be three in August). I love being creative, shopping, and having my friendships. I am a stay at home mum and spend time with my little one (I tend to go afk for him!). But being in Second Life means I get to be with my friends, make new friends and network more. What if I get to a point where I can't leave Second Life? How could I leave all of you, my readers? Everyone needs Faye and her sass in their lives. I just tend to take things one day at a time and hopefully I will not be so worried in a few years. I am a geek, what is a girl supposed to do, lol.

I wanted to put an outfit together and a look together that is more like me. My avatar is like 5 sizes smaller then me, but I like to think that she is not thin. Her rack tends to be smaller then mine unless I am wearing my implants. But I wear tops similar, usually for dates, and I always wear jeans. When I moved a year ago my hair was about that short. It is longer now (chin) but I need a cut and no hair style I current have in my inventory could make my real hair look good haha. I have hazel eyes and dark brown hair. I hope all of you enjoy and remember, it is okay to want things, like ginger hair, but also know that you are amazing and beautiful!

So, I enjoy going to events where my mum is DJ'ing and last night I went to Ocean Dreams for a steam-punk event my mum was DJ'ing for. I didnt want a dress, and I know this isn't super steam-punk but I like to think it is kind of gothy steam punk. I knew I wanted a corset, then I found this one from Etchaflesh. I picked a favorite pair of jeans, then my default boots. I got this new hair cut from Truth that I think is completely adorable. I needed something that was more steam-punk so people would get the look I was going for, so I looked up 'gear' in my inventory and found this necklace from a Twisted & Spoiled outfit. I am pretty sure I had the outfit for a couple of years but it seemed to work just fine! To top it off I did dark smokey eyes and a dark nail polish. I adored the outfit I put together and just needed to share it with my readers!

Disney Week Nine Marie

After catching up on two weeks of Disney Character Challenges, I was still excited to be able to do this character. I adore Marie, she makes me think of when I was a little girl. I was still a mama's girl but I liked acting a bit older. I am still completely sassy to this day and I love every bit of sass I have. When I started to put this outfit together I wasn't sure if I wanted to use a dress or a pants type outfit.

I knew the hair I wanted, or at least I remembered what it looked like. It took me a good while to find the hair, but I thought, if the look of the cat were human, this was the perfect style, especially for someone so sassy and elegant. The main part of Marie is her beautiful pink bow. There was one I thought of right away, but realized, it was used in the inspiration photo. I saw a few other choices, and all of them by Boom. Since I couldn't decide what I wanted to use, I moved on to the hair bow. I already had the bow in my inventory, just needed to see if I had it in pink ( I have it in a handful of colors), and I did!

So I had the hair, and the bow for my hair but I didn't have an outfit. I went to Mon Tissu looking at their Oxford skirts. I have their Oxford skirt in black and I totally love it. It was actually one of the first mesh things I bought, even if it is only part mesh. I saw this dress there, and saw that it came in all white, with what looks like to be feathers on it. But the demo was this one, in the photo. I showed a few friends and they actually liked this one better for the character. After looking at it a bit, I completely agreed, I think it looks fantastic. I paired it with a simple pair of flats I already had in my inventory and thought it was perfect. I hope all of you like this outfit and agree that this is what Marie would probably look like if she were human.

Disney Week Eight Jasmine and Aladdin

The week for Jasmine and Aladdin was a lot harder for me then expected. First I do not know very many people I wanted to take the photo with. The person I would have taken the photo with, is barely online any more. Then I saw one of my closest friends and decided to just ask her if she would be willing to be my Aladdin. She jumped at the chance and made me so happy. for a moment I was going to do just Jasmine. So this is my Sheridan and I as Aladdin and Jasmine!

I wanted something that looked a bit different, which all of my readers should know as well as my family and friends. So I looked at Jasmine photos and thought "Everyone will be doing blue/teal. I will do purple, which she does wear, and since it was specific as to what the character should be wearing that is what I went with. I loved this skirt and I picked a super cute top. But the top was actually a body suit, and it looked fantastic but it wasn't really Jasmine. In almost all of her main outfits you can see her amazing tummy, so I had to go with something different.

I also saw that everyone seemed to do the Jasmine hair from Lelutka ( or at least seemingly) and that is fantastic but yeah, I had to be different. While last min at Truth trying to get my money to Truth for hair on sale I saw this and made sure I bought it. After buying a few hairs a Truth, I haven't been able to get them to rez, but I actually think it is a ton of little things messing it up, not the actual hair.

I made the back ground and put it together myself (but the floor texture is a texture that I did buy in sl) I hope all of you enjoyed that too. It was what took the longest in the entire photo. >.<

This week of Kuzco was actually a bit challenging. I got the outfit together after a few days of thinking about it. I did know what hair I wanted to use right away though. Shoes were a bit harder but I think I did well. After I got the outfit together and the photo taken, I also did a client photo. After the client photo I feel just very uninspired but I seemed to have come around thank you to a dear friend of mine, Sheridan.

Once I was in GIMP I had to start working on my Kuzxo photo and the background was a bit tricky. I have thought about including a lama or anything else from the movies or show but in the end decided to keep it pretty simple. To complete the outfit I decided to make the necklace, so it is all hand drawn (if it isnt obvious). At the end I couldnt decided if I wanted her to have the teal earrings Kuzco has but felt that I have been so behind on this that I actually skipped it. Not sure if I regret that or not but I still look fantastic.

I greatly believe these challenges are supposed to be less costume-y then people make them out to be. They are not wrong but for me that is not a challenge. You can find so many costumes in Second Life that the challenge is to find 'normal' clothes that work. What if those characters were walking around today, they would not be in ballgowns and such. : ) I hope all of my readers enjoy this photo and I will get started on the next one as soon as I can. D'Noir Spring Time!

This outfit was actually pretty perfect for spring. Especially for those that usually wear pants. I love the Chocolate color of clothes for spring, not all over, but pairing the color with these pants I thought was fantastic. The top buttons in the back with a single small button on the neck. And the little flower on the front really breaks up the color. As for the pants, I do not normally wear them this low, but the color, and fabric are great, as well as the length! I thought a cute pair of chocolate shoes would just bring the outfit together.

How long have you been blogging? March 2011
Why did you start blogging? I have been taking photos in Second Life since a month after I rezzed. I was going to do a photography studio but it just did not work out. I had changed my clothes about twice a day, so fashion just seemed to be what I needed to do. Fashion + Photography = Blogging!
How many times a week do you post an entry? I would say it depends on how inspired I am really. If I had been super busy during the week, the next week I wont really feel like doing anything.
How many different blogs do you read on a regular basis? I would say just a small handful on a regular basis, like Strawberry, Gogo, and Natalee on Style Minons.
Do you comment on other people’s blogs? Not often actually. I do comment as a link if my blog has to do with their blog, and even rarer, but still happens, do I just make a comment on the blog.
Do you keep track of how many visitors you have? Yes I do, every single day. It is like, for normal people, always checking their Facebook, Twitter or such. Plus seeing how my blog has grown over the past two years, makes me feel like a happy mama!
Did you ever regret a post that you wrote? I currently do not regret any post, and I have a feeling I wont.
Do you think your readers have a true sense of who you are based on your blog? I am not actually sure if they have a true sense of me. I have only gotten one comment on my blog (Which made my month btw). But I hope they take away that I enjoy being different but still modern, fun, girly, friendly, strong and independent.
Do you blog under your real name? Not on this blog
Are there topics that you would never blog about? Currently there are not. I just haven't come across anything yet that I refused to blog about. I think this might have to be reanswered at some point in the future.
What is the theme/topic of your blog? Mostly fashion really. More female fashion really.
Do you have more than one blog? If so, why? I do have more then one blog. I have a second blog that bridges my rl and my sl, (which hasnt been updated in a while). Then I do have another blog but it is all real life, which my sl people do not know about.
What have you found to be the benefits of blogging? For me, I get show so many people my photos, talk about them, help them find outfits, or how to find some things that are easier on the wallet. I usually tell my friends to have a blog. It helps to have a project to work on, a way to talk about stuff, a way to show who you are, and what you like. You do not actually need to please anyone because the blog is for you!
So, why do you continue to blog? I continue to blog because it actually makes me happy. Even when I am stressed it makes me happy. Also when people tend to look at my blog I feel like I should keep it going to not let people down. I know there are so many people that have blogs but I keep telling myself that I am special.

Disney Week Six - Merida

It seems to me that these challenges have gotten harder for me and I am actually loving it. I thought it was going to be simple things, which is funny but I am so much happier that it isn't! This past week was Merida. Most of what I saw was typical her in a dress. When I do these Disney Challenges I aim for a certain look. Something that apparently the character, but also something that does not look like a costume. I hope I am able to convey that in all of my looks. How would they dress right now, in a sense.

For Merida is was actually hard for me to pick something in a solid type of color like the dresses that you see her in. I knew I did not want her in a dress, and picking a color was hard. I saw these jumper at ColdLogic and knew I loved it, but I was sad they didn't have a color I could work with until I looked about more. I was totally excited that this color was there. Picking a bottom to go with the jumper and still be Merida was hard for me. Jeans just didn't seem right, leggings can look funny, and a skirt was too close to the dress look for myself.

I tried on many different pairs of pants then decided to try my pants/leggings from Maitreya. They worked out surprisingly well for my look. But if I were going to use these leggings what shoes could I possibly use! The first pair of shoes I took a look at would have made it too gothy. When I first decided to put together my Merida look, I wanted it to be different like everything else. I wanted her to look a bit older, and wanted to use a crossbow. While thinking about it, I had in my head that I wanted the look of Jessica Biel's character from Blade. I know that has nothing to do with Brave but she can hunt, and hunts the bear, so for me it made sense. (Plus the Blade movies are some of my faves).

I was actually very happy when I saw these boots by, Coco, in my inventory! I don't think Merida is wearing boots in the movie (I have only seen it once), but if this is more grown up Merida. I love the hair I used for this look. It is not as while, I figured it calmed down a bit as she got older. I hope you all really enjoy this look, and the hard work I have put into it!

Procrastination Meme

I decided that after reading the meme by Harlow I needed to do another meme myself. Strawberry Singh is the one that creates the memes first. My first meme was about my name, and now this one seems to be called the Procrastination Meme. (Which is not actually about procrastination) I just recently starting "writing" in my blog. I figured it was the next step for my blog, and it was recommenced by a dear friend. So I do not think many of my followers are actually used to reading my blog, but here it goes.

1. What is the rez date for your current SL Avatar that you use most often?

My first and current avatar would be Fayette Aeon, rezzed November 16th 2007.

2. Where was the first place you made friends as a newb and got to know people in Second Life?

The first place would have to be Metal Works Social Club. It has changed over the years but I still hang out with the same people, and the woman that co-owns the club and land is now my mum.

3. Where do you spend most of your SL time now?

Most of my time is spend at my house or studio taking photos of myself.

4. Who is your closest friend in Second Life? (only pick one)

It is hard to pick my closest friend. A few years ago that would have been super easy. These days people leave and make it hard. Today I had a very rough morning and my friend Trinity Levane was there for me. She is actually the reason I am making this meme. She is also the one photoed above with me. She has been there for me for a while and always lets me vent to her. I like to think I do not do it often but when I do, she takes it like a great friend should.

5. What is the most favorite thing in your inventory? (only pick one)

Hard to pick because I would probably pick two, but out of the two I might head my head (lol). It is my mesh head from Logo

6. The last thing you purchased in Second Life?

I actually have to look this one up...~Doolally~ Spring Dinning Set - White apparently a dining set for my home.

I do not really do animal print but I think I pulled this off pretty well. I got the boots from the Arcade for March, and knew it would just go with this outfit. My favorite part of the outfit might actually be the belt. I am not totally sure why, but there it is. Gawk Think Pink Weekend!

This weekend Gawk had a sale. The sale was for items that are pink. I am not a big pink person but I did not want to pass this up. I just picked out four things, I also did not want to go broke. The sale was fantastic because it was for ANYTHING that was pink! It was actually hard to only pick four things because the store has so much to chose from. This time I did not buy anything for my Tangos, but the appliers for them, were also on sale. I know I was not able to get this to my readers sooner, but the sale is still happening today, so get there while you can!

Returned Karma LOTD (Also Merging News)

I am a bit late on showing all of you this cute new top from Returned Karma. As I was putting it on, I broke one of the arm straps as you can see. I have been lazy and just left the part that is attached, well attached. The top covers most of the torso, but I really preferred to pair it with something. I had just bought this Corvus skirt that The Perfect Wardrobe. The colors go great together I think, and its a bit flirty. On the plus side I was told it made me look like all legs and they didn't mind. The top comes in a couple of colors so check it out.

On another notice for Returned Karma, they are merging. After almost four years of Returned Karma being open Jada (Karma) Tigerpaw has decided to merge her shop with a friend of hers, Kattington Resident, owner of Milk. Milk is known for it's Tango compatibility. They will be Co-Owning the shop and hope to bring both of their styles together. Past releases from Returned Karma should be located at Milk when things get a bit more settled. It will be sad to see one store go, but it will be fantastic to see the mind of Jada and Kattington merge and create fantastic things!

When I got the challenge to do a photo of Dory this week I had no clue what I was going to do. I was worried that because we also just had Snow White to do, most people would look the same. I was very happy that when I did Snow White is was 'raggedy". After thinking about the character for a good part of the week I knew where I wanted to check out first so that is what I did. I went right away to Gawk. I think because of that this also became a Gawk blog post, but I didn't think anyone would really mind.

I was not sure where to start actually. Thought about a dress, or a shirt, but just thought I would take a look around. I saw these yellow/golden leggings and had to have them! I thought they could be perfect, especially since Dory was hurt by the Jellyfish, and the fact that the leggings are torn was perfect for me. From the leggings was the slightly harder part, even after finding one piece. I just kept looking and saw a jumper that was nice and picked it up, but was not sure how to make the jumper and leggings work really. After going further back I saw this body suit and I was completely excited. It doesn't come with the belt, but it is right next to all the body suits, in many colors.

I got home and put everything on, it was awesome but just wasn't right. I was thinking about jackets and jumpers then remember I had a black Gawk half jumper in my inventory. Found it, put it on and it was perfect for me! When it came to hair I had no idea where to start. I did not want to go out and buy new hair, let alone in a blue color, which I do not wear often if at all. I thought about blonde since it is close to a yellow/golden color. I thought about black as well, but with a black jumper, black boots, then black hair, it would just be WAY too dark. I decided to look back through my inventory and just happen to click on this color and thought "PERFECT!". Completely exciting really.

The finishing touches, such as the pink eyes, and blue nails made everything fantastic. I really hope all of you enjoy this as much as I have! (Let's see if you can spot my squishy!)

This blog is a bit later then I would normally like. Before April I had started working on a huge fair which took me about 2-3 weeks to completely finish. But now I am not to other things! I decided to start with this corset, probably an extension from the fair. This beautiful, sexy corset comes in 7 colors: Black, Blue, Pink, Purple, Red, Teal and White. So there should be a color out there for everyone!

After the fair it has been hard finding my creative spark so close to finishing. I hope I have not disappointed anybody!
