Our friend Pat Lee created this spoof ad using video from interviews originally shot at a Palin book-signing in Ohio. It seems like sly winking is enough for many of Palin’s rabid supporters, whose conviction and fervor seem to be inversely proportional to their actual knowledge.

Adam Lambert, the new bad boy of pop delived a raunchy performance at the American Music Awards, performing his debut song “For Your Entertainment” [iTunes link] ending his performance with an abrupt fall onstage, which seemed intentional.

The American Idol runner up came out with a male dancer on a leash, rubbing his head against his crotch, making out with a band member and flipping the audience his middle finger. Yeow!

The bisexual sexcapde reminds me a lot of the over the top scenes from the movie Showgirls. Sexy, but they make us laugh at their ridiculousness.

Kellan Lutz, you’re next! I hope Adam gets to lock lips with the Twilight stud in the future.

Did we mention it was on prime time television? Everybody in America got to see it.

I wonder just how shocked the public will be, considering that nothing he did tonight hasn’t already been done by female pop stars.

Well at least there’s science behind it. The engineers at Hanson Robotics have created a robotic head designed to look like Albert Einstein’s and put it on top of the “HUBO” bipedal robotic frame.

So, which category does Anderson Cooper fall in?

Now that medical marijuana is legal in Michigan, you have to teach the students how to grow the weed.

“Growing pot by chucking seeds in the garden is fine for the recreational industry,” says the college co-founder, Nick Tennant, whose wholesome and youthful appearance, including acne-covered cheeks, startles some of the more ragged-looking students. “But when we’re using this from a medicinal standpoint, you really need to document your strains and your genetics. The horticultural process is very complex. If you want to do it right you’re going to need to learn. There’s a lot of money in this if you do it right.”

The first film was frankly a bit dull. I’m happy to say there has been progress made, but sadly not much. This chapter focuses on vampire Edward’s pointless and head-scratching decision to ostensibly leave his love Bella for her own protection and Bella’s long-frustrating struggle to (not) get over him. She drove me crazy and I just wanted to reach up to the screen and shake her.

Stepping up to take Edward’s place is Bella’s friend Jacob, played by the delicious hunk of jailbait, Taylor Lautner. Jacob is dealing with his own supernatural problems tied to his coming of age as a werewolf- a werewolf who kills vampires. And he takes his shirt off a lot! Apparently, werewolves have very high body temperatures so even though the Pacific Northwest setting of the film never seems to rise above 50 degrees, Jacob and his less hunky friends spend most of the movie running around in next to nothing. It saved the movie for me.

Otherwise there isn’t much here. The acting is pretty average with Kristen Stewart pulling out the best performance.  Guest appearances by Dakota Fanning and Michael Sheen are decent but mere blips. The dialogue is average. The special effects are an improvement over the laughable ones in the first film but still just barely manage to thrill. And again the heat of the romance is lukewarm and sexless.

Unless you’re a fan of the franchise, I would suggest waiting until this one comes out on video, and then make someone else rent it.  Grade: C

“Rob is the lead, but you’re the better-looking Cullen.” To which the actor responded: “Ooh, I need to hang out with [you] more often!” Hot!

As sexy and awkward the new Twilight movie was, one BIG thing was missing from the film- Kellan Lutz’ shirtless body.
