Fred Thompson vs. “RINO’s”, Living up to John Adams!

Hello All,

John Adams, our second president & major contributor and signer of The Declaration of Independence, said, "Our Constitution is wholly inadequate to the government of any other than a moral and religious people."

This warning says at it’s heart that if the people of our country or it’s legislators do not have high moral standards the Constitution does not have the regulations in it to guard against immoral corruption. The founders so believed in “We The People” they wrote the Constitution so they would have the true power in this great nation. They also “Banked” in that just and moral heart that the people had at that time.

Without that just and moral heart guiding your decisions, an immoral person will steer away from the Constitutions intentions and drag everyone else with them. Thus re-writing the Constitution without actually changing it’s words.

Fred Thompson has once again decided to stand on his just and moral heart even when it’s both unpopular and against what most of his friends in high places wants. Since the end of his presidential campaign, Thomson a Republican, has started a "Political Action Committee" to support strong conservative candidates in America. He also uses his new radio show to promote true conservative ideas as well as those candidates.

Fred Thompson does not back or support all republicans, only those that walk a very tight conservative line. Now, Thompson has gone as far to show the world that he will choose a candidate from a different party when it is the right thing to do. " Listen Here!"

In the race in District 23 in New York, the republican Dede Scozzafava, is by far one of the biggest Rino’s in the party. Doug Hoffman, a little known candidate looks to be the only true conservative running. Read "The Jawa Report" and get to know the candidates.

Many don’t remember that while a Senator, Fred Thompson once was the only No vote (99-1) on a bill. He took that position because of his strong moral heart. That hearts conviction told him that just because the bill was a good idea in what it was trying to do, it also was un-Constitutional because it was giving the federal government a power the Constitution did not give it that should have been left to the Several States. Thus re-writing the Constitution without changing its words.

Time and time again Fred Thompson has stood his ground solely based on his moral compass, despite the negative outcome. Standing that ground is not popular in today’s day and age, which is why his bid for the presidency probably failed. He didn’t live up to what the people thought he should do, rather he lived up to what that Moral Heart and Religious conviction said he should do.

It is people like Fred and Doug that we need is our Legislative Branch of Government. People that will stand up for what is right just because it is right! Only then will we have a Government of the people, by the people, for the people fighting the Clintons and Obamas of the world, and return this nation to the "The Doctrine of Original Intent"

Fighting to The “Last Drop of Blood”

Hello All,

CNN reports that the Taliban vows to fight "To The Last Drop of Blood”. Sounds like to me to be reminiscent of the Japanese at the end of WWII. If you remember the Japanese vowed to fight to the very last man, women, & child, even to the point of committing suicide either through "Seppuku" or "Kamikaze". It is the whole reason why President Truman decided to use the Atom Bomb.

Some of you know that I really like the movie "Patton". There is a long story as to why, that I’m not going to go into here, just know it has made a big impact on my life. In addition to the movie I have done considerable research into "General Patton", his life, family history, and his fighting philosophy. Although very controversial, Patton had one view that most agreed on, “To defeat your enemy you must take away his ability to wage war”.

Most people understand bombing communications stations, hitting leadership hideouts, disarming the enemy, or even killing the enemy before he kills you. But to truly take away all your enemies abilities you must also take away his “Will to Fight”. If you take away their rockets, guns, radios, knives, or even their food but not their will to fight they will keep fighting even if it’s just with sticks and stones.

During WWII the allies “Broke the Will” of the German people with “Carpet Bombing” of cities and not just “The German War Machine”. This technique of "Total War” was also used during "Sherman's March to the Sea". As a result in both campaigns the civilian population that was supporting Nazi Germany and the South, had a heart change and decided to change their ways and enter the “World Stage”.

What makes our battle with terrorist groups so hard is that we take everything from them except their “Will to Fight”. That will is deep rooted and goes back well over 2000 years. I’ll be the first to say that I don’t have all the answers on how to uproot that will to fight. "Carpet Bombing" isn’t going to work in this situation. There are many piece loving Muslims that live in the Middle East and are to inter-dispersed with those that do wish to fight the world.

Now our President and the White House Says, “It would be irresponsible to send more troops to Afghanistan until a sound Government is in place.” Well let’s see what history has to say. After the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, which we helped the Afghan people to remove the Soviets, we just pulled out. It left a large void in the country, which was then filled by the Taliban, which created a home for Al-Qaeda. We all know what happened then.

Now is not the time to go soft on terrorists. Obama promised us on the day he became president that he would be tough on terrorism. This is not it! I didn’t even like what Bush did in fighting terrorism, he was to soft as well. Whether the Afghan’s have working form of Government or not is not the point or the issue at hand. We should be aggressively seeking, searching, and destroying our enemy’s ability to wage war. To not do so would be the true irresponsibility!

Tarp Anniversary & Saving The World

Many if not all of you know of and remember Oct 3rd 2008. It was the day that President Bush signed into law the “$700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program bailout” Bill. However, I’ll bet only 1 in 1000 of you really know why that bill was needed and how close we came to the end of Capitalism and the end of our Constitution.

In February of 09 Rep Paul Kanjorski of Penn. went on C-Span and told the world of an event that flew so far under the radar but should have been front page for months. Pay very close attention at the 2:12 mark.

"Sept ‘08: A $550 Billion Run On Banks Within The Span Of A Few Hours"

In about the 2:12 min mark Mr. Kanjorski says;

On Thursday at roughly 11 AM The Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous draw down of money market accounts in the USA to the tune of $550 Billion dollars in a matter of an hour or two. Money was being removed electronically.

The Treasury tried to help, opened their window and pumped in $150 Billion but quickly realized they could not stem the tide. We were having an electronic run on the banks. So they decided to close down the accounts.
Had they not closed down the accounts they estimated that by 2 PM that afternoon. Within 3 hours. $5.5 Trillion would have been withdrawn and the entire economy of the United States would have collapsed, and within 24 hours the world economy would have collapsed.

Even bigger then the point Mr. Kanjorski made with this are these three things:

1) The closed door Congress briefing with Bernanke and Paulson was "about September 15th". The event itself, the landslide electronic cash draw, happened on "Thursday, at about eleven o’clock in the morning". Thus the date and time when those 550 billion $ were being electronically drawn out was Thursday, Sept. 11th 2008, at 11.00 o’clock in the morning. This is the 7th anniversary of the Terror attacks, to the minute. This was a Terror attack itself.

2) This was the cause of the Lehman Brothers collapse less then one week later on the first real business day after the attack, Mon Sept 15th. This is why the collapse happened so all of a sudden with no warning at all; they instantly had no money anymore.

3) Remember the meeting with the President that McCain suspended his campaign for that Obama didn't want to suspend his campaign for then turned around and said yes to. This run on the banks was what that was about. Obama thought that McCain was making a political move, only to learn that this was a very real issue that he did indeed need to be there for. The true purpose of this meeting was to go over the "Bush Bailout". That 550 billion that had been removed had to be returned. No matter what the bill was called or how is was presented to the public, the bills whole purpose was to shore up the system so more banks like Lehman’s would not drop like domino's.

I am not for bailouts but in this case, I think saving America from a cyber bank attack is a little different then bailing out business's like GM who made poor business choices. Which is also why I think the Bush Bailout had such strong support on both sides of the isle and got though both houses so quickly. Remember it was a closed door meeting Bernanke and Paulson had with Congress.

This last part is my opinion and I have no facts for. Everyone knows that Sept 11 is a powerful date for Muslim terrorists and was so long before Sept 11, 2001. Since then they tried to use that date for multiple attacks and propaganda. I feel that they have taken that 700 million "Mr. Pickens" talks about us sending them every year on oil, and used it to invest in our money markets over decades. They were waiting for a day when we were the most vulnerable. Then all in one day they tried to pull it all out knowing we would not be able to survive.

The truth is powerful. I sent letters to Rush and Laura Ingraham, but not much came of it. Lets show them what the “Power of The People” really is. Get this info out and lets make our Government tell us what we already know, The Truth!

“Big Government” & The Original Intent of The Delineated Powers

Hello All,

From the beginning of my Blog, I have been using Fred Thompson as my spokesman. His "First Principles" are some of the strongest proponents for following “The Doctrine of Original Intent” of our Constitution that I’ve found. One of those principles reads as follows:

“Limited Government – Government must be strong enough to protect us, competent enough to provide basic government services, but limited by the “Delineated Powers” in the Constitution.”

See the Constitution has a list in it of exactly what the Federal Government has the power to do and what it does not. You will find this list in "Article I Section 8". The 10th Amendment then also states: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Our Government for a very long time has become way to BIG by far over stepping its Constitutional powers. When you look at the “Delineated Powers” what you will find is that things like the Federal Reserve, social security, and Medicare where never part of that list. Now Obama wants to add things like bailouts, buyouts, and of course “Health Care”.

The source of all this increase in Government power comes from two lines in the Constitution; “To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States”: and “To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers.” Better know as the "Commerce Clause" and the "Necessary and Proper Clause".

A perfect example is the lefts attempt to pass "The Freedom of Choice Act". In that bill you will find this line:

"Many women cross State lines to obtain abortions and many more would be forced to do so absent a constitutional right or Federal protection".

As you can see they are trying to stop and over turn all ant-abortion legislation by using the “Commerce Clause” just because a women crosses a state line. Now I might see how the Constitution would allow regulation on whether a women can cross state lines or at what cost but not use it as an excuse to make all abortions Federally legal, a definite step to even “Bigger” Government.

With the increase of Liberal judges over the last 50 years or so, this trend looks very likely to continue. It is the job of the Judicial Branch to test the Constitutionallity of the Laws inacted by the Legislative Branch. The United States Supreme Court has interpreted the Commerce Clause and the Necessary and Proper Clause to allow Congress to enact legislation that is neither expressly listed nor expressly denied in the Constitution.

The Father of our Constitution, James Madison, was very clear about interpretation of the Constitution. "As a guide in expounding and applying the provisions of the Constitution…..The legitimate meaning of the Instrument must be derived from the text itself".

To set things right a drastic step must be taken. All previous laws enacted that are outside the realm of the Federal Governments Constitutional power but not outside possible necessity should be given to the Several States. One example would be to split Social Security 50 ways and let each state control their own individual retirement system. Each state could change it as they wish to the needs of the people residing in their own state. The needs of those in Montana do not match those in Florida. It gives the power to the Several States and to the people as it was intended.

The problem is that I don’t see anyone rising through the conservative ranks that has the intention or backing to make such drastic changes to the right. Yet the left had no problem finding people to make just as drastic changes to the Left. Our only hope is that “We The People” will unite and finally force our elected officials to work for us and not for them-selves.

Fact Check Proves; Joe Was Right! Obama "Lied"

Let me be very clear, I do not in any way support Joe Wilson's outburst. We are not British! We do not yell out of emotion at the leader of our nation during a session of Congress, PERIOD!

However, his point, however ill timed, was correct. Both the All Barack Channel (ABC), and the Citizens for Barack Station (CBS) have put the Facts on the table. From the fact check desk of Jake Tapper:"Illegal Immigrants and Health Care Reform", and "Does Joe Wilson Have A Case On Health Care, Illegal Aliens?"

Both assert that although there is nothing in the health bill giving anything to illiegals, it also does not restrict what they already have. It also provides more funds to Medicaid, which pays for illiegals to go to the emergency room. Not to mention some illiegals will be taxed by the "Non-Insurance Fee".

Point and Blank, illiegals should not be allowed to conduct any business within the US. They should not be allowed to own a house, rent an apartment, open a bank account, get a license, or even buy a McDonalds hamburger. I am not against them receiving emergency medical care (For Real Emergencies Only, as par the 5th & 14th Amendments of the Constitution), but once they are well enough they should be deported.

It is not fair to U.S. citizens and especially Legal Immigrants as well as those attempting to both enter this country legally and become U.S. citizens that almost nothing is being done to solve the illiegals issue.

In Honor of a Very Special Lady, Eunice Shriver

Hello All,

I’m going to veer off of my usual Defense of the Constitution’s Original Principles and stand up to honor and thank a wonderful woman, "Mrs. Eunice Kennedy Shriver".

For those of you that do not know, I was a gymnastics coach for 20 years. I coached men and women’s Special Olympics for the last 12 years of that period. As the Virginia Men’s head coach I was honored to have two of my students make it all the way to the “World Games”.

It was at my first "Special Olympic World Games" I met Mrs. Shriver. My student was a young boy, "Bobby Vasquez", who had more control of his body then most Special Olympians, so much so that he also competed with the club level students in the gym. Unknown to me Mrs. Shriver was paying close attention to Bobby. He was graceful, talented, and extremely flexible. During his floor routine Bobby made an uncharacteristic mistake. As he walked off the floor Mrs. Shriver could tell that Bobby was very down on himself. She came out from the stands and down to the floor to talk to Bobby and help lift his spirits. She told Bobby that she had been watching him and thought he was a great gymnast and it was a pleasure to watch him. She continued to talk to him for a while. Bobby went on to do well on the last two events that day and won the Rings World Championship the next day.

I found Mrs. Shriver to be kind, loving, and giving from her heart. For her to take time to pay attention to just one student showed me her true heart. This was just who she was. Mrs. Shriver was always a hands on, one on one, person. Even into Her 70’s Mrs. Shriver remained a daily presence in the Special Olympics and it’s home office in D.C. She often talked about the satisfaction one gets working with Special Olympians.

I just wish that I had started coaching Special Olympics in the beginning vs. waiting as long as I did. Next to my wife, Infidel Granny, coaching Special Olympics was the most satisfying thing I’ve ever done. I owe that to Mrs. Shriver.

Called the moral compass of the Kennedy family, her strong belief that mentally handicapped people are more capable than was thought at the time led her to put together an athletic competition that is one of the largest sporting events in the world for over one million athletes. Mrs. Harrison Raine wrote, “When all the full judgment on the Kenney legacy is made, the changes made by Eunice Shriver may well be seen as the most consequential”.

The world needs more people who will stand up and be a champion for those who are weaker, smaller, or can’t defend or speak for themselves. Mrs. Shriver will be missed by many Special Olympians who called her friend, and by me as well.

Hello Sir or Ma’am,

I want to make myself perfectly clear in this. I want a better health care system in this land of ours, but this bill going through Congress is wrong for America.

A tax increase of up to 5% on just the rich is just wrong. Mrs. Pelosi just said on July 16th that we don 't need that tax but we are going to take it anyway just in case we do need it. Then she said that if we find that we don't need the tax we would use it to off set the national dept. How about giving it back!!!

Looks like to me that "Spread The Wealth" is going to be placed into law. Instead of just taxing the wealthy at 5%, we are going to say we are going to have the rich pay for better health care, but Oh wait, now that we have their money and we don't need it we are just going to keep it anyway.

Not to mention that once again legislation is be pushed through so fast that no one is even fully reading all of the 1000 page bill. Nor is the pubic going to get their 5 days, which the president promised, to read the full bill for himself or herself.

I am asking you as my Rep to not support this bill at all, but at the same time I do want you to support smart Constitutional legislation that will provide health care to all legal U.S. Citizens.

The Origin of "The Acceptence of Abortion"

Hello All,

Ever since my 22nd birthday I have not liked my birthdays. I had spent my whole life wishing and waiting for my 21st birthday. I forgot what the consiquences where going to be, I would turn 22 the next year. I had never thought about being 22. To me I was like turning OLD, just like others feel at 40 or 50, I was devastated. I started doing something as a result of this devastation, I started trying to convince people to celebrate their conception day rather then their birthday. After all that is the true day of God's miracle of life. Your birthday is just the day you moved from inside your mother to outside.

It turns out that the celibration of one's birthday is a pegan/ cult celebration from early Europe. Made popular by Rome after it's rise to power. Then much like all Roman Pegan holidays and god's, when Christianity spread throught the kingdom, birthday's where picked up by Christians and made they own. Some of the old Roman and Pegan ways turned out to be very good for the growth of Christianity, but birthday's needed to be left for dead or in this case "aborted"!

Celebrating one's birthday is not even supported by the Bible, or any other faith text for that matter. The Bible only gives us two references to birthday celebrations. "Genesis 40:20" tells us that a Pharaoh gave a feast for all his officials on his birthday, and "Matthew 14:6" says that Herod beheaded John The Baptist on his birthday. As you can see both examples are of non-God fearing men, of which both were powerful leaders with lots of money. It is also worthy to note that both Pharaoh and Herod were praising and celebrating themselves and not the miracle of when God gave them life. We are told by God on many occations to "Follow His decrees...keep seperate from....their detestable practices...and I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on....them". Our actions through the years may have tied the Lord's hands and brought this immorallity of abortion on ourselfes.

It is my belief that if we had chosen to celebrate our conception day, which the Bible tells us to celibrate and be thankful for the gift of life, rather then our birthday we would not be debating abortion at all. Society, as the years have gone on, has equated life with one's birthday. This is where the whole debate rages, "When does life begin?". Had society equated life with one's conception day because we had been celebrating God's gift of life when it actually begun, the debate would have been over before it started!

The Original Intent of our Nations Birthday!

Keep in mind that we as a nation celibrate our nation's conception day. July 4th, 1776 was the day that our nation was given life throught the Declaration of Independence. Although we call this our birthday, it was not. Though in the mist of revolution we were still under British rule, our mother if you will. If you carry this analogy on, the rest of The Revolutionary War was the pregnecy. For some our birth was the day Britin surrendered and we had no further British influence. For me it was not untill full ratification of the U.S. Constitution, "In order to "FORM" a more perfect Union", that we had achieved full seperation and independence from our mother, and became a nation with our current government. With all this our founding Fathers new the truth about life of human's and of this nation. They started calling the colonies states, the very next day, July 5th! Remember also what Jefferson wrote, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are "CREATED" equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life". The founders of our nation knew that man was given life by God at the time of his creation or conception, and has the right to LIVE!

Obama's Destructive Disregard for the Constitution's authority, is He in Fact a Natural Born U.S. Citizen?

For those of you who do not know, there is a question as to whether Barack Obama is a natural born citizen. He has had ample time to present a true birth certificate yet he has not. There are many questions about the copy of his birth certificate he has presented, not the least of which is that his nationality is quoted as "African". In Hawaii during 1961 his nationality would have been quoted as "Negro". Like I said Obama could have put this to rest long ago but has instead choose to spend up to 1,000,000 dollars on fighting this in court. The video below will explain all that.

Alan Keys has posted an artical at WorldNetDaily, "The end of the constitutional republic?", that goes into great detail of the potentially fatal crisis to our Constitutional Rebuplic as a result of placing Obama in the White House should he not be a natural born citizen. Hello Congressperson,

The President elect, Mr. Barrack Obama, Has just appointed Mrs. Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. I am imploring you to NOT support this appointment on the grounds of the U.S. Constitution where as Mrs Clinton Voted during her term as Senator to increase the Emolument of the Secretary of State. The Constitution states very clearly that:

Article I Section 6:

No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time; and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office.

Our founding father’s debated long and hard over all the principles of the Constitution. I have always believed in the Constitution, it’s principles, and it’s original intent even when I may not like it. They are the foundation and security of this nation, and the reason why we are the strongest country ever in the history of the world. To just ignore one of it’s founding principles would strongly weaken the Constitution and this country.

Please, Stand up for the Constitution and its founding principles and do not support Mrs. Clinton’s appointment as secretary of State.

Senate Dems prepared to use one part of the Constitution to invalidate another

The Al Franken campaign, with the blessing of Senate Democratic (and Majority) leader Harry Reid, is contemplating taking their case to count absentee ballots rejected on Election Day to thwart a legal election victory by Norm Coleman to the Senate. Their “justification” is that Article I Section 5 of the Constitution gives the power to judge the elections and returns of Senate candidates exclusively to the Senate.

Never mind that the decision by the Minnesota Canvassing Board to reject those ballots in accordance with Minnesota law is wholly consistent with the 17th Amendment. Thanks to "NoRunnyEggs"

US Constitution says Hillary Clinton can’t serve as Secretary of State

Congress raised the compensation for cabinet positions this past term, of which Clinton was a member; therefore, she technically can’t serve in the cabinet of the Executive branch.

Article I Section 6:

Once again I have proven that Obama wants to change, or in this case circumvent, the Constitution and U.S. Federal Law. Since the U.S. Military "can't" be deployed on our own soil he plans on creating a civilian one that can.

U.S. Constitution Says:The Congress shall have Power to make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

A Congress Foregoing Power:The Congress shall have Power to raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years; & To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces.

Congress passed the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878. Posse Comitatus prohibits federal troops and National Guardsmen under federal supervision from serving as law enforcement officers within the United States. The act was amended in 1956 to include the Air Force in its provisions.

The act reads, in part:"Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both."

Under the Act, federal troops are prohibited from performing law enforcement actions, such as making arrests, seizing property or searching people. In only extreme cases, however, the president can invoke the "Insurrection Act"
, which allows him to use active-duty or National Guard troops for law enforcement.

It is a bedrock principle of our founding fathers that the military does not get involved in domestic policing under any but the gravest of conditions. They were so much against peacetime standing armies they limited there monies to just two years. Our current standing army did not become a necessity until the enduring Cold War. We even have a provision in the Bill of Rights precluding quartering of troops in private homes.

This reluctance to politicize the military stems from the abuses seen in Europe and domestically during the Colonial era and has been reinforced time and again by observation of the developing world, where professional militaries are the only trusted institution and not infrequently assume the reins of power."link"

Obama's Un-Constitutional "Freedom of Choice Act"

Most of you know that Mr. Obama has said “The first thing I’d do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act.”

Well I decided to read the bill for myself:

A BILL

READ ALL OF THE BILL….

It seems most of the bill, “SEC. 2. FINDINGS.” Is an explanation of: The history of Abortion laws, State of the health of other nations, and what their position is on Abortion. Point one of the “Findings” Sec says:

(1) The United States was founded on core principles, such as liberty, personal privacy, and equality, which ensure that individuals are free to make their most intimate decisions without governmental interference and discrimination.

Notice that one point, “Life”, was not included in on the core principles and another point, “Privacy”, was added.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

The Roe V. Wade case itself states this: ”The Constitution does not explicitly mention any right of privacy.”. The Constitution does not have "a right to privacy in it", nor do the Declaration, Federalist Papers or Amendments.

Point thirteen of the “Findings” Sec says:

(13) Although Congress may not create constitutional rights without amending the Constitution, Congress may, where authorized by its enumerated powers and not prohibited by the Constitution, enact legislation to create and secure statutory rights in areas of legitimate national concern.

It seems as though they themselves understand that “New” rights can only be created by amending the Constitution. Yet Roe V. Wade was based on “A FEELING”:

"This right of privacy, whether it be founded in the Fourteenth Amendment's concept of personal liberty and restrictions upon state action, as we feel it is, or, as the District Court determined, in the Ninth Amendment's reservation of rights to the people, is broad enough to encompass a woman's decision whether or not to terminate her pregnancy.".

How is it that congress knows it can’t create new rights yet the courts don’t? Further more, how is it that congress allowed the courts to create new rights? Better yet how did “We The People” allow them to do this? All the more reason to “GET INVOLVED”.

Point Fifteen is where it all boils down. The left Congress is trying to tell us that interstate commerce is a viable reason to enact legislation about abortion. (of which abortion itself is un-Constitutional )

(15) Federal protection of a woman's right to choose to prevent or terminate a pregnancy falls within this affirmative power of Congress, in part, because:

(A) Many women cross State lines to obtain abortions and many more would be forced to do so absent a constitutional right or Federal protection;
(B) Reproductive health clinics are commercial actors that regularly purchase medicine, medical equipment, and other necessary supplies from out-of-State suppliers; and
(C) Reproductive health clinics employ doctors, nurses, and other personnel who travel across State lines in order to provide reproductive health services to patients.

Point Fourteen is where the try to tell us they have the power to do it!

(14) Congress has the affirmative power under section 8 of article I of the Constitution and section 5 of the 14th amendment to the Constitution to enact legislation to facilitate interstate commerce and to prevent State interference with interstate commerce, liberty, or equal protection of the laws.

Section 8 article I states: The Congress shall have Power to regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;

Section 5 of the 14th Amendment states: The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of THIS article.

Congress can only legislate, (in this case), that which pertains to the fourteenth amendment and as far as the commerce thing, they can only regulate that. Both Sec's 14 & 15 carry no valid points at all!!

And finally SEC. 4. INTERFERENCE WITH REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH PROHIBITED.

(b) Prohibition of Interference- A government may not--
(1) Deny or interfere with a woman's right to choose--
(A) To bear a child;
(B) To terminate a pregnancy prior to viability; or
(C) To terminate a pregnancy after viability where termination is
necessary to protect the life or health of the woman; or
(2) Discriminate against the exercise of the rights set forth in paragraph
(1) in the regulation or provision of benefits, facilities, services,
or information.

With a single stroke of Obama’s pen, the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) would establish the right to abortion as a fundamental right and wipe away every restriction on abortion nationwide. All done without the consent of the Constitution and definitely against "The Doctrine of Original Intent"

Joe Biden doesn't know "The Doctrine of Original Intent"

Hello All,

As most of you know my personal Blog attempts to teach the original meaning of the Constitution using today’s current events as either examples of what is correct or what is wrong. Well the other night at the VP debate when the question came up about the Constitutional role of the vice president I just wanted to jump through the screen. For a person with a law degree, Joe Biden is just an idiot. He answered the question as follows:

BIDEN: Vice President Cheney has been the most dangerous vice president we’ve had probably in American history. The idea he doesn’t realize that Article I of the Constitution defines the role of the vice president of the United States, that’s the Executive Branch. He works in the Executive Branch. He should understand that. Everyone should understand that.

And the primary role of the vice president of the United States of America is to support the president of the United States of America, give that president his or her best judgment when sought, and as vice president, to preside over the Senate, only in a time when in fact there’s a tie vote. The Constitution is explicit.

Well this was just one of 16 points Mr. Biden got just dead wrong. This is what the Constitution says about any and all roles of the Vice President (Pay very close attention to the first one):

1) The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided. (Hangmann747 says "Looks like Legislative to me! The Vice President is even higher then the majority leader in controlling the Senate".)
2) The Senate shall chose their other Officers, and also a President pro tempore, in the absence of the Vice President, or when he shall exercise the Office of President of the United States.
3) The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice-President chosen for the same Term.
4) "In the Electoral College" The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted.
5) Then the Vice-President shall act as President, as in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President.
6) If, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term of the President, the President elect shall have died, the Vice President elect shall become President.
7) If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified.
8) Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

As you can see, the role of the Vice President is BOTH Executive and Legislative.

Life and the Fourteenth Amendment!

Hello All,

This is an updated copy of a post I made at "Blogs for John Mccain". It is a response to a blog posted by Lane."Bornalivetruth.org Ad Challenges Obama on Abortion Related Votes". I have included the video's lane posted below.

What gets me really riled in this "life" issue is Obama's position doesn't even follow his or the left's own past positions. In partial birth abortion their whole case revolves around the fact that the child's head is not outside the womb. If the child’s head was outside the womb, that child would be considered alive and a "Person" having the full U.S. citizen rights under the Constitution. Yet in this case of "Born Alive Infant Protection" the child is fully outside the womb, living and breathing on it's own, with it's umbilical cord already cut, and "YES" has full constitutional rights and they won't even support life then. According to Illinois State law these children get both birth and death certificates. Yet Obama says things like "Since the intention was to kill the child we might as well finish the job" or "It would be to much of a burden to bring in another doctor". Not to mention the fact that it is illegal to refuse medical help to anyone who needs it at a hospital. Any illegal immigrant can walk into any hospital; have no money and they must receive treatment. Yet this child is left to die, ALONE in that same hospital! The issue of supporting life is more then just a debate about choice and privacy, it is a matter of grave moral injustice.

There was a time in this country when Obama would have been considered property. Evil would thrive on the backs of this sub-human property that had no human rights. At that time it was being debated just a strong as abortion is today, just as 50 –50, and just as today the debate missed the true point. It split this nation in two. It took one man, Abraham Lincoln (a white man), to stand up with the republican party against this moral injustice. At the time Lincoln was just as unpopular a president as Bush is today, yet, history tells us he was one of the greatest president we have ever had. This, however, does not even compare to the many millions who died to defend Obama's right to live as a free human. It then took this nation over 100 years, until the conclusion of a the 60's, to get to the point where true healing would start to take hold. This was Martin Luther King's Dream, "That one day this country would live up to it's creed. That all men are "created" equal with inalienable human rights (Life, Liberty, & Pursuit of Happiness)". So even if "It's above Obama's Pay Grade", it's wasn't above the founding father's. They new that life started at "Creation" and not at birth.

Obama then needs to remember how many more brave men have died to defend this nation to be a free nation since the civil war. How dare Obama not support life in all forms when so many have given so much to set him free and give him life. I too have gone out and defended Obama while in the military. I today would still defend Obama's right to life and freedom under the fourteenth amendment, "To My Death". This is what real Americans do for their countrymen. Just like our brave men & women who volunteer to serve are doing today.

The Fourteenth Amendment (Amendment XIV) to the United States Constitution is one of the post-Civil War Reconstruction Amendments, first intended to secure the rights of former slaves. It guarantees the due process and equal protection of each state's laws.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law ; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Ok Lets get real! No other issue in this campaign even comes close to this one. Not only does this show Obama is just wrong, but a bold face liar as well. When the LIB'S of all LIB'S stand up in front of the Senate and support this bill, and Obama still voted against it, four times, it shows just who is the one truly "OUT OF TOUCH"! If this man's views are that bad that he would take life and use the Constitution to defend himself how can he trusted to make any other decision!

U.S.'s need for Energy Independence

Hello All,

It has been a while since my last post. With all the current talk on energy I decided to weigh in on my view. I have recently added my name to T. Boone Pickens web site. This post is a response to a Question "What excites you about "The Pickens Plan" campaign?

First off I will say that I hate the word GREEN. Although I feel we are not being a good steward of what God gave us to manage and that the world’s temp is on the rise, I do not believe we are the cause. Geology has proven that this world goes through ice ages and heat wave cycles. Science has proven that we are currently in an upswing of that natural cycle. Even if man was being a good steward of the world, the worlds temp would still be on the rise anyway just as it has done in it's past and at the same cycles it always had. The Learning Channel and The History Channel has said this on many shows.

Having said all this I believe energy independence as a necessity has a lot more to do with national security then it does anything else. If this nation is not secure both militarily and financially, there is no hope of being a good steward of this planet; we will not have the financial resources to invest in alternate energy sources. Sending all this money, 700 billion a year, will continue to weaken this nation. Although I agree that technology and alternative sources of energy are the future and need to be invested in now and heavily, it is a slow and long-term future. Fact is, we are going to be using oil for the foreseeable future. Even if every car in the U.S. was electric, all Aircraft will still be using oil based fuels. We need to find more of our own oil, and use only our own oil.

I agree with "Mr. Pickens" that we can't drill our way out of this mess, I do fell that we can drill our way to some temporary relief of a major financial and energy source problem. This will keep a lot, if not all, of that 700 billion in our own country, and help make us more financially sound so we can invest more money into alternative energy sources. If we get to the point where all of our energy needs come from domestic sources; oil, natural gas, wind, solar, nuclear, hydro, and hydrogen we will be a secure nation and once again be a world leader financially and raise that value of the dollar. We should be increasing all of our energy sources together. Once we attain energy independence then we should continue growth in alternative energy sources and lower the need for oil and all sources of carbon energy, looking to a day when all sources of carbon energy will no longer be needed.

The major reason we invest so much in Middle East security is our need for its oil. An unstable Middle East would strongly weaken this nation. Energy independence would greatly reduce the need for all of our Middle East investments.

One aspect that I wish we would look into more is nuclear energy. We have proven as a nation that nuclear technology is safe despite several incidents. But our aging power plants will be in need of upgrades soon. In addition, France of all nations, is much further ahead of us in nuclear technology. They not only have proven to the world that nuclear energy production can be safe they have done it safer then the U.S. plants. In addition they have also proven that they can recycle nuclear fuel rods to the point that they are doing it for other nations and making money for themselves thus strengthening their own economy. We should move to retake the nuclear power lead and exploit this clean source of energy production.

Finally what excites me about "Mr. Pickens" campaign is that it is coming from a non-government source. Although I believe the government has a role is our energy crisis we are not a monarchy and it does not have nor should it have total control in our energy recovery. The Constitution is very clear, "WE THE PEOPLE!". It is designed as a republic, small government and power to the people through capitalism & democracy and not socialism & monarchy. The only way that we will solve these issues is if everyone gets involved. "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country". Most of the issues we face today are due to the fact that the Government runs free and "We The People" run silent. We all need to make our homes more efficient, purchase more fuel efficient cars or alternative fuel/ energy cars, invest in personal home use alternative energy sources (wind, solar), be energy conscience at work, and support businesses that invest and/ or using alternate sources. In our nations history our greatest moves forward have always happened when "We The People" have been unified and moved with motivation in whatever direction we chose to move. Just look at what we did during WWII.

Looking for the day that the U.S. is not only energy independent but also carbon energy Free! Blessings Shane

Letter to John McCain

Dear Senator John McCain,

First off sir let me say thank you very much for your service to our country. As a former Navy sailor, I am well aware of the great sacrifice that is made to serve, but yours Sir sets you apart. I would like to start off by telling you about myself. It will give you a better understanding about where I’m coming from when I reach the main body of this letter. I am an evangelical Christian who likes to study history both military and American. I also like the study of biblical history & text translations for a deeper understanding of original biblical meanings, and the study of the Christian heritage of what I like to call God’s Constitution. As you can most likely guess, as far as politics go I consider myself a Strong Federalist Conservative. I was also a very big part of the grassroots effort to draft Fred Thompson. I did this through blogging and making comments on many conservative web sites. I do have my own personal Blog called “Fred & “The Doctrine of Original Intent”.

See sir I feel that the founding fathers views and ideas where inspired by God and they placed those ideas and principles within the Constitution, no different then inspiration by God in the writing of the Bible. I do not place the Constitution on the same level as the bible as far as its being canon or not, but I do feel that it was written exactly the way God wanted it to be written. As far as governing today, I feel the government should be doing things exactly the way the founding fathers intended it to be done, hence the name of my blog. I felt from the beginning that Fred Thompson was the best choice to lead us in that way. With Fred Thompson no longer in the race I found myself in a place where I needed to make a choice but felt there were not any good choices to make. With my military back round and my loyal trust placed in Fred Thompson I choose to continue to follow his lead. He has asked all his FredHeads to “Stand Strong” and “Close Ranks” around you. I should mention Sir that I do not feel that this was a full endorsement of you Sir. Had he been able to do that there would have been no reason or need for him to enter the race in the first place. I feel that this was a call to support you as the nominee for our party but continue to support strong federalist & conservative positions. In the past my wife and I have been very active in local, state, & federal politics. We regularly keep in touch with all our representatives through e-mails, letters, and phone calls. We also have supported other conservative candidates for other offices as well. Sir I feel Fred Thompson would want me to continue to do all these things and continue to mobilize “We The People” in the same areas.

See as a Christian I feel that Christian’s were called by God to be the ones on the front lines. This nation and God’s principles are under attack. The only hope we as Christians have in fulfilling the Great Commission is the United States. History shows us that the developments in Europe over the last 2000 years all point to the creation of the U.S. and it’s Constitution. We are the only nation in history that both has the means and the drive to reach the whole Earth for God. Christians should be working hard to fight the ongoing attacks of “Original Intention” ideals. I believe Sir that most of the issues we face in America today are because the government “Runs Free” and “We The People” run silent. I sir will not run silent as you work to win the nomination and move into the general election, or should you win, during your presidency. My blog will continue to stay up for the same purpose that I started it in the first place, to educate and help mobilize. Now however, it will be to further Strong Christian Federalist Conservative positions with Fred Thompson as a spokesman rather then as a candidate or leader. In addition I will continue to blog and comment on other conservative sites such as the new "Conservatives for the Advancement of the Reagan Coalition".

I intent to support and praise you sir in the areas and positions you take that match those conservative positions. I also intent to be the first to stand against you when you take positions that do not hold to “The Doctrine of Original Intent”. In your campaign you have talked about strong national defense, strong border security, lowering taxes, lowering spending, and support of human life. In some of those areas I and others like myself feel you have not always run down those roads as strongly as you could have. It is for this reason I feel you have had difficulty drawing other conservatives in to support you. We would like for you to take much stronger positions on human life. We believe that life begins at conception and is protected under the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution. We also believe that the family structure is the root core of the American way of life. We need strong constructionist judges appointed to protect the traditional family as well as other issues that are under attack by the “Left”.

As far as border security I agree with your position of building and or finishing the fence, but that is not the only way illegals get into America. I sir and many others like myself intend to stand strongly against you should you intend on letting anyone who is not a legal resident stay in this nation. As a Christian I do have great sympathy to their needs and wish the country could receive many more immigrants then we do, like we use to, but the needs of this nation and the fiscal structure is very different then it was in those days. Although many illegals are great law abiding tax paying people, except for being here illegally, their very presence here has put many burdens on the rest of us that we end up footing the bills, literally! I believe as Fred Thompson did that if we enforce the laws already on the books, many if not most will return home on there own. If we turn off the magnet that draws them here in the first place they will have no desire to come or to stay. All in all sir I hope that you will support small government that follows the constitutional guide lines and only what is spelled out there. God’s Speed to you sir, Thanks for your service once again, and may the Lord bless you and your friends & family richly.

Hello All,

Below is the last post I made over at Blogs for Fred Thompson.

I doubt that anyone is going to read this, due to the fact that it has been three days since anyone has posted here at BFFT. However, I wanted to say this anyway. This will be my last post on BFFT. As some of you know I made a post called "The Future of BFFT....Sugestions!!". In that post I made some very good suggestions for this site that could have mobilized the people and made a real tangible difference. Instead of moving in that direction, this site has moved to changing it’s position, and giving its full support to John McCain. It has even gone so far as to start a new site “Blogs for John McCain”. And unlike BFFT where anyone could come and view the posts, you have to sign up and be a member to do anything there. I can see making someone sign up in order to post, but to just view the posts, sounds like an exclusives club to me.

Don’t get me wrong, as I have said, I intent to “Close Ranks” behind John McCain. But just like Fred Thompson gave an endorsement without really endorsing John McCain’s positions or policy proposals, that’s what I intend to do. I will be writing John McCain a very detail letter. I will be sending it to him via e-mail and via regular postal mail. For those who wish to read it I will be posting it at my personal blog Fred and "The Doctrine of Original Intent" in a few days. In this letter I will give John McCain praise in the areas that he has strong conservative positions and for his service to our country. Yet on the flip side, I will be expressing my deep opposition to positions where he is "Left" of conservatism. I will also be making it perfectly clear that my intention will be to support him during his presidency with Blogs, call-ins, and write-ins when he chooses the “Right” path. But I will also be just as diligent to mobilize the people to blog, call-in, and write-in to him and to our other elected officials at the times he chooses the “Left” path, just like we did during his amnesty bill. I think I intent to be more pro-conservative, pro-federalist, pro-Christian values, anti-left wing, anti-democratic then I plan on being pro-McCain. I believe this is the “Stand Strong” “Close Ranks” position that Fred Thompson was speaking of.

In my attempt to move forward the suggestions I made for BFFT I have found a site/ group that intends on doing the very things I talked about. Please jump over to "Conservatives for the Advancement of The Reagan Coalition" and take a look at what we are doing. The joining of the "Texas FredHeads", "FredHeadsUSA", and "DraftFredThompson" sites created this site. Notice that they also intend on having regional sites as well. One “North East” is already up and running, I will be working on the “North Central”. If you are looking to get involved and “Stand Strong” please (join) us.

This is a detailed response to “The future of BFFT...” on Blogs For Fred Thompson (BFFT). The below listed suggestions are something I have both been working on for a while and researching what works and what does not.

The question was asked “What to do with this site?” Most commented that we should continue it in some form. Some even said to keep it up just so the current information would not be lost. After reading this “Fred08.com: An Outside Insider's View” , and seeing Michael Turk’s vision for Fred08, the potential & impact it had, and the need for what he wanted within the future of conservative politics, I feel the time is now to continue what we started, advance it in many area’s, be creative to come up with new ideas, all intended to continue fighting for the principles Fred Thompson laid out. Brad over at Fred Thompson News writes about the Fred08 article saying “This is a must read for online Fred Heads! What I’m about to lay out is long but well worth the read. Please read though all the idea’s and final thought then feel free to comment, in fact JUST DO IT!

First off let me tell you about myself. Some of you already know me, most do not! I write/ blog under the name “Hangmann747” on many conservative sites. My beautiful wife writes under the name “Infidel Granny”. I am a very far right Christian conservative American, former Naval Air crewman & Gymnast. Most say that I stand so far on the right wing I almost fall off, hence my name “Hangmann747”. I just tell them “No worries, I’m an airline mechanic and a gymnast, I think I will be ok! LOL. If you wish to know more I do have a personal blog called Fred Thompson and “The Doctrine of Original Intent”. There you will read about my views, why I chose Fred Thompson, and why I feel we need to continue fighting for conservative values as placed by the founding fathers and their original intent on our governments role and function.

Great Things About BFFT!

This is a place where anyone could have a blog of their own in a community of fellow conservatives. A place where others could just come a comment on those blogs. While others just came to read what others had to say. This sharing of ideas and information was the whole reason I came here in the first place. See at the time Fred08 was not giving out the type of information I was looking for but BFFT was. If it was on the web, somewhere, somebody here would find it and post it here so we would all know about it and where to find it, read and/ or watch it for our selves. I also felt all the side bar widgets of Fred Thompson information was very good, and could even have been expanded.

Start a Board of Directors!

I list this suggestion first only because the rest of the suggestions I have will make more since in how to implement them. I’m thinking very big here. A larger and more organized team will need to be in place. This board should be both nominated and elected by members, and can be done through threads and polls, all for free. I define members as those willing to sign on and post blogs on a regular basis. This board should consist of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Lead Editor, Second Editor, & Site Lead. The board should meet at least once a month using a free MSN style group IM video/ audio service to discuss the site and it’s needs, all for free. The rolls of each board member can be defined later. Note: More editors then two will be needed; those listed are just the leaders of the editing team. The “site lead” will need to be a web tech specialist and will be in charge of implementation of approved ideas to the site.

A Different way to do side lists and blog rolls!

Although anyone could sign up and have his/ her own blog on BFFT it was not very easy to pull up that individual’s blog to read just what they were writing. Lets start a BFFT members only blog roll with just the blogs on BFFT. I can foresee that list getting so big that no one is going to want and look through it and click on each of them. So lets start a BFFT Members Blog of the week that gets listed at the top of the blog roll, this to encourage others to at least click on one blog per week that they might not normally read. As for the current blog roll KEEP IT. However, lets expand it. Instead of waiting for others to find us, which they will still do, lets go out and find them. Most of us search the web and find lots of good conservative blog sites. Have the board look potential sites over and if approved list them on the blog roll. If part of our purpose is to keep the people informed then this would help do it. Once again that list will get very big, so lets have a blog of the week here as well. We should also have a list of strong conservative sites that are not blogs. Just places where people can go and get information. The last list we should have is a conservative talk radio list. Although we should add the main ones like Rush and Mark, the lists I’m talking about are list of radio stations and web steaming stations that people can go to and listen for free! Example: ("http://www.wmal.com/"). My wife and I don’t like paying for anything on the web so we do a lot of searching for things like this. I’m sure others do the same thing. We could come up with the most complete conservative lists on the web!

Start Chat Rooms!

Some people love to blog. Some love to comment. Some just want to read. While others love to chat! There are still areas on the web that lets you start chat rooms for free. We could start with just one, and as time goes by and it grows we could start others that are topic specific. Each of these chat rooms could be listed on a side bar and encourage people to participate. Just like we would choose editors from among us, chat room moderators could be picked that way as well. We might even be able to find a chat room that already exits who has the same views and ideas as we do that we could partner with. That way we would not be starting something from nothing.

Start a BlogTalkRadio on BFFT!

Now this one will require a lot of time! It would also need someone who would want to take charge and lead it’s development. Once up I suggest that each BFFT member can do an hour or two. After a while we would have enough shows archived we could run it 24/7. I would still have at least one or two hours a day for live shows. The live shows could have possible guests and or call in questions. Just another media outlet at our disposal.

FREE FREE FREE!

Notice most of my suggestions can be done using other free services. I wanted to be able to do all these things without the need for money. For now links to all those free services and pages is the way to go. However, I also suggested a treasurer. I am fully aware that as we grow the need for us to have something bigger that will cost money will be there. The setting up of BFFT donations, (also though a free service like pay pal), could be the way to go. This would also set up a way for online donations to the next candidate we may chose to support. Being organized first will have extreme advantages.

The Real Reason for it ALL!

Sharing of information and ideas is great! Open and free discussion and debate is not only constitutional but is what makes this republic strong. Ultimately we must work to get people mobilized, involved in ways that make real impact and change. Example: The killing of McCain’s amnesty bill. We can have site pages that provide all the phones numbers and emails of all the elected officials both for state and federal levels. We can also do it in a way that would make it very easy for people to write a letter and send it to anyone on a list of their own creation. We could also have online petitions that could be sent to elected officials as well. The new BFFT site has the potential to be the number one conservative site on the net for information exchange and influence within conservative politics. The Fred08 article above basically says that hasty site set up and lack of true organization was some of the reasons Fred08 never saw it full potential. If we get organized now, we could be ready by Jan 09 to make that impact, and in two years for the next election cycle, and certainly for the next presidential one in four years. This republic only works when everyone gets involved. Voting is not enough! Most in this country don’t even do that! We must communicate all the time to the people we elect to keep the conservative principles moving forward. Most of the problems we face in this nation are due to the fact that the government runs free and “We The People”, for the most part, run silent!

As For A Name!

My wife thinks it would be good to get the people involved in that. We can start with a thread asking for suggestions. Then have everyone vote on an online poll from the top five. I personally have a suggestion that tells people where we came from and yet tells them where we are going and what we stand for. I suggest keeping the BFFT signature picture currently at the top of each BFFT page but with one minor change. That would be the inclusion of one word and its new name.

Letter for Fred

This letter is a call to both Christians, and non-Christians. It gives information I believe are of the utmost importance both for this election process, and for our Constitutional living in our country. As an evangelical Christian, I am supporting Fred Thompson. I have supported him long before he even thought about starting his exploratory committee. Originally from Virginia I knew my Tennessee, country gentlemen, friend long ago. I chose him not only as a Christian but also because of his beliefs in Christian values. He believes in traditional biblical marriage, is against embryonic stem cell research, and totally supports all life from conception to natural death. Which is one of the reasons why he has received the National Right to Life endorsement. But what really got me hooked on Fred Thompson was his position on Federalism.

See I like studying history, especially biblical history and the Christian heritage of this nation. I have a belief that the Constitution is “God’s Constitution”, which I will explain later in this letter. See “We The People” should be following the Constitution for it’s original meaning as written by our Founding Fathers. I call this “The Doctrine of Original Intent”. Federalism is a major part of that doctrine. Fred Thompson wants to lead us at the federal level the way the Founding Fathers were convicted in their hearts that a government should be run.

See most of the Founding Fathers were Christians, and based the Constitution on biblical governing principles. Even those that weren’t believers believed this as well. Not one point in the Constitution has or will ever change or supersede any biblical point. The Founding Fathers knew that the bible and its principles were primary (a prerequisite if you will), and they wrote the Constitution to essentially cover areas, pertaining to government details, where the bible was silent.

An example is murder vs. freedom of the press. Everyone knows that murder is wrong. This from the bible, “thou shalt not kill”. Life is one of the “Inalienable Rights” not given by government, but by the “Creator”. Therefore the original Constitution (without the amendments) assumes you understood this already! Freedom of the press, however, is not detailed in the bible so it was added to give detail in a needed area, thus following other biblical principles of freedom of choice. The first ten amendments to the Constitution were written to affirm all biblical rights, to make sure that government could not take rights given by God away. I should note that even though murder is against Gods law, the 5th, and the 14th amendments of the Constitution, this same Constitution leaves the power in the states on how to address murder (Federalism).

Now I know what most people say, “How can we know what the Founding Fathers meant”. We know it because we have it all recorded in the library of congress. See every word of every house and senate session is required to be recorded, word for word. Everything of every debate, every discussion, every filibuster, and yes even Harry Reid trying (and failing) to put down Rush Limbaugh gets recorded. This recording of government was started when the Founding Fathers were discussing, debating, and writing the Constitution. Plus, after “We The People” read the Constitution, they had lots of questions and statements of their own. The Founding Fathers wrote letters to the people in each of the new 13 States answering their questions and explaining the meaning of Constitution. These letters are also housed in the library of congress. We know what the Founding Fathers meant!

There is a Christian brother out there who gets into this way more then I do, it’s his life and ministry. His name is Dr David Barton. On his web site "Wall Builders" you will find statements of fact, with their sources referenced by links, letters, statements, and other general information of the strong Christian heritage of this nation and original meanings of all the parts of our Constitution. There is a video of "Dr Barton" having a discussion with Kenneth Copeland about the Constitutions Christian heritage I would encourage for you to watch. This video only scratches the surface, there are a lot more.

I started a blog a while back in response to the E-mail that Dr. James Dobson wrote about Fred Thompson. In that note he said (rather harshly) that he could not support Fred Thompson. I stood in awe. How can such a strong Christian be that against another Christian with such strong convictions? I felt he was missing the point of Federalism in “God’s Constitution” and how important it is as a Christian to support the Constitution even at times like this. My blog is called "The Doctrine of Original Intent". On it you can read all my responses to Dr Dobson and even a personal letter I wrote him, of which he did respond to it. That response wasn’t a chain letter either; he addressed each point line by line. He and his ministry are honorable and highly favored by God.

The main point I made was that even though we think good ideas should be made into federal law, the Constitution does not always allow it, and it is for very good reason. The power of the Constitution was left in the hands of the “Several States” and to “We The People” .It would open the floodgates (which some say are all ready open) and start a chain reaction that will unravel the fabric of the Constitution forever. It would give to much power to the Federal Government, something the Founding Fathers gave their lives and fought against. This great nation would cease to exist, and all hope of evangelizing the world is lost.

When you study the history of the church through the ages you would see that it was all pointing to the birth of this nation. We are the first nation in history that has the means and the heart to take the gospel to " All the corners of the earth ". Without the Constitution all hope of that is lost. The psalms tell us, " If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do ". At its heart the Constitution did not want a dictatorship either in person or the government itself. No man will have authority over another unless that man gives him that authority. This is why we hold elections. The Founding Father’s knew this from " Exodus 18:21 " “Choose out from among” you leader’s at all levels of government.

As a check and balance it was written into the Constitution that the power be given to the “Several States”. Based on free markets, each state can make it’s owns law’s based on it’s specific needs. It end’s up being a competition among the states to see who can be the strongest and who can attract more people and businesses to it’s state. Laws made at the federal level have no checks and balances. They are dictatorship through regulation!

What everyone seems to forget is that God is not a dictator nor forces us to obey Him. He quotes His law, and then lets us choose for ourselves what to do. Also at the Constitutions heart was the biblical ideas of personal freedoms of choice. Neither God, nor government, nor man should interfere with an individual’s choice when that choice only affects him or herself. God’s love gives us this freedom, and he wanted it also for this nation. However, as the "9th Amendment " makes clear, when a persons choice affects the freedom of choice of someone else God, government, and man should interfere so that persons choice is “Not Denied”. An example would be that you have the freedom to choose your religion but not to sacrifice someone in the name of your religion.

Now the Constitution does give the federal government certain limited powers, and lists them line-by-line. Anything not on that list is reserved for the "Several States (the 10th amendment)". I personally would love to see a law nationally banning flag burning, which I believe is detestable, or the outlawing of smoking, which I think is bad for everyone’s health. But as a navy sailor I put myself in harms way to defended the rights of that individual to choose to burn that flag or smoke that cigarette even though I did not agree with their choice, now that’s the Constitution! With my convictions to follow “God’s Constitution”, I would not want it any other way. We as Christians must choose to trust in God’s will even though we may not understand it, or like it. His way are not our ways!

Now I will fully explain what I mean by “God’s Constitution”. For a small group of rag tag men, of just 13 colonies, where most all the people of the 13 colonies still felt loyal to the king, to take on and win against the worlds strongest nation, based solely on their hearts conviction that the freedoms given to them by God were being taken away, had to be the work of God. When the war was over and they started to form this “More Perfect” nation, they choose to return to those same God fearing principles. I’ve already explained some of those principles that they included in the Constitution, but here are some others.

The separation of powers both in the “four” branches of government (yes I said four), and federal vs. states authorities was written into the Constitution due to the notion that man’s heart is deceitful, found in " Jeremiah 17". As a result they felt that no one man, or group should have too much power. These separations and “checks & balances” were a guard against that deceitful heart.

Our branches of government, although derived from the French philosopher Charles Louis de Secondat Baron de Montesquieu in "The Spirit of Laws”, were originally based on much older principles found in " Isaiah 33:22", where the Lord is described as judge, lawgiver, and king. Keep in mind however, Jeremiah 17, where one earthly man should not hold all that power, thus the theory of our mixed Constitution.

Here are some examples of passages being applied directly to the Constitution. The tax exemption status that our churches enjoy is found in " Ezra 7:24". Article III of the Constitution is found almost word for word in " Deuteronomy 17:6". Article II was taken from " Ezekiel 18:20".

See just like the Bible was inspired by God and written by man so was the Constitution. Now don’t get me wrong the Constitution is not cannon nor do I place it as high as the bible, however, you can see why I call it “God’s Constitution”.

Now I know I have been talking about the Founding Fathers a lot. I also know that many African Americans do not feel that the Founding Fathers are their Founding Fathers. I would encourage African Americans to revisit that idea. As Dr King said, the Founding Fathers knew that all men are created equal and given the same inalienable rights by God. Like I said they wrote this into the first ten amendments. And if you look up those documents in the library of congress of the constitutional debates you will find that most of the debaters wanted to abolish slavery right then.

“Then why did some of the Founding Fathers like George Washington still have slaves?” you ask. In some states it was illegal to set slaves free. George Washington wrote many times how he longed to set them free. In fact in the movie “John Adams” you hear a quote as John and His wife first entered the White House, “What good will come of this Capitol built on the backs of salves”. Our Founding Fathers knew slavery was wrong and wrote the Constitution to do away with it.

The issues of the time period, however, made slaveries abolishment not any easy or over night task. Most of those issues resided in the southern states, and some of those states were so against abolishing slavery that they were threatening not to be part of the union. So a compromise was made. Those states would have twenty years to change the things that needed to be changed so slavery could be abolished. When it dragged on and on, brave God-fearing men like Abe Lincoln finally took a stand based on the principles first laid out close to100 years before that. This is where the Republican Party first started; they were the first to choose to take that stand against slavery at such a national level. See, our Founding Fathers knew that God will always make sure, and has always seen to it that this “Nation Shall Long Endure”.

Fred Thompson shares those same convictions and has been the same person today as he has been all his life and has led and served during all that time. He stands on those convictions even when he is not in the majority or even, like the flag burning, when he doesn’t like the situation. He once, while in a senate, was the only nay vote, 99-1, taking a stance because of Federalism. He even imposed term limits on himself because of those biblical convictions. Fred Thompson believes in Christian values, for strong conservative principles, and believes in governing the way our Founding Fathers intended.

This is why I support Fred Thompson and his positions; they are the most American, the most constitutional, and the most Christian. He answered a question in public once with this response “Christ didn’t tell us to go to the government and pass a bill to get some of these social problems dealt with. He told us to DO IT”. Sounds like to me he is not ashamed of the gospel. I encourage you to also stand up for Fred Thompson.

Still wondering what I meant by “Four” branches of government? Now most everyone knows about the executive, judicial, and legislative branches of government. Although not written specifically in the Constitution it is implied that the fourth branch is “We The People”, after all it is a government “Of the people, by the people, for the people”. Although the people are not in charge, they do hold the power. That power is given to the people through their vote, their voice, and involvement in the political process.

The Lord wants us to be involved in our government. Christians should be the one’s on the front lines, and voting is only the tip of the iceberg. We must learn about the candidates of all offices federal, state, and local before voting. Then staying in contact with them after they are elected is vital to this nation success. "Romans 13" says that all civil authority is ordained by God. This is way "Timothy" tells us to pray for the kings and leaders who have authority over you. Being involved will save this nation. Most of the issues that face this nation are because the government “Runs Free” and most of “We The People” run silent. An example is the issue of gay marriage. The amount of people who want it is less then 20%. The reason it’s even an issue at all is because the 20% are making a bigger noise then the other 80.

Finally I encourage you to watch Fred Thompson speaking to the "Iowa Voters". It is Fred in a 17-minute nutshell. Even though he is addressing those in Iowa his message rings true for all American’s. Let him tell you in his own words his beliefs and plans for the future. You can also visit "Fred First Principles" to read in detail all his governing beliefs.

Well I think I got a response to my Huckabee letter!

Although I as yet have not received an official answer to my Letter to Huckabee, posted below or at (http://www.blogsforfredthompson.com/letter-huckabee), this latest stunt by Huckabee is by far a better answer then he could have every written!!

Let’s see. I can only see two, maybe three, possible realities in this Stunt!

1) It was all set up from the beginning. Lets just make a video, show only the press, make a big deal about how righteous we are, and pull it from the airwaves, OH WAIT! but not soon enough that all the stations could pull it without playing it at least once, make it so that everyone has so much anticipation for it that when it finally makes it to Youtube everyone will want to view it, and do it all for FREE! What A Snake or should I say Serpent!
2) It was not set up but he still wants to make himself look righteous! I may not be a biblical scholar but I do know this:
a. Matthew 6:16-18 When you fast do it in secret……
b. Matthew 6:5 When you pray do it in secret………
c. Matthew 6:1 Do not do your righteous acts before men……….
“You will have no reward from your father in heaven, I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full!”
3) He is just running that poor of a campaign. Campaign Carl left us asking “is this how he is going to run the White House”.

Letter to Mike Huckabee

It has been a while for me, sorry. This is a letter I wrote to Mike Huckabee, just thought you all would want to read it. Thanks and many Christmas Blessings, and always thanks for being involved. Shane

Hello Sir and Many Blessings to you on this Christmas Day.

First off let me tell you that I am a Thompson supporter and always have been. But I watch the poll's! I am still going to vote for him in the Primaries and campaign for him in my hometown, but your surge worries me. I have to ask you sir are you going to be the real true conservative you claim to be, as Thompson is. See I know you are a strong Christian as am I. And I know you did great things in your state, after all you did follow Bill Clinton. But there are some things that scare me. I do not want, nor do I feel it is the way this country should go in giving anything to any illegals or there non-citizen children. It is against the law, against the constitution and there fore against God. It will only serve to draw more like them into this country. See sir it is my belief that the Bible is the primary law in this nation. The founding father's knew this, our fellow bother Dr David Barton will tell you this at www.Wallbuilders.com. The Bible also teaches us of self-government, and our founding fathers knew this as well. I believe that the Constitution is an extension of the bible in the area of detailed government that the bible did not cover. It was inspired by God and written by man. Just as the bible is to be followed even though we might not like it, understand it, or agree, so as we should follow the constitution. See as you know sir, His ways are not our ways. Sometimes we need to follow the constitution even though we think we know better. Sir we do not!!! Trust in the constitution that God Wrote. Call to protect the borders and remove the illegals sir.

Another point that scares me is your wanting to make a national law about abortion. Sir the constitution does not allow the federal government to act in this area. The founding fathers did not want this country run by dictators, either in person or in government. That is why the power was given to the states. It was a check and balance just like the three federal branches. Competition among the states, testing and trials, if you don't like it you can move (if we don't like your national law we can't do that one), and the trying to draw other's into your state (personal & business), all based on capitalism & free enterprise. This is why I take Thompson's stance on Abortion; it is the most American, the most constitutional, and the most Christian. Just cause we think it's a good idea doesn't make it constitutional. As a navy sailor I had to defend a persons right to burn the flag (something I think is detestable) even though I didn't want to, that sir is constitution! And as for this "50 different laws about abortion" statement that I feel truly hurt Thompson from Dr Dobson. We already have 50 different laws about murder. I don't see him wanting to nationalize murder when that’s all abortion is. To kill the unborn is no different then the killing of you or I. It should not be risen to a level above what is truly is, thus saying one person’s life is greater then another’s. The smarter way to handle this is just to include the unborn in the 14th amendment. Since science now confirms that life begins at conception, then they are "persons" and fall under the 14th amendment.

14th Amendment 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

As for the Tax statement you made, sir (I pledge that I will not raise your taxes). To make this statement in the face of the fact that you did raise taxes in your state, seems very two faced and just trying to cater to the public. Why not just speak the truth like Mr. Hunter did, “I do not want to raise taxes nor do I intent to, but I can not say that I will never raise them, there might be a national need to”. By the way that has been Thompson’s position all along.

As for this Statement you made about where today’s terrorism comes from, the poor, the homeless, and poverty. You really don’t seem to understand the close to 2000-year history of Muslims. From day one they have been a conquest people with only one intention, convert or kill every one on this planet!! This is POINT and that is BLANK!!

Finally sir, I sure hope that you know more about the Mormon faith then you claim and or seem to. As a Christian I have strong beliefs that Mormon’s may fall outside Christianity. And since I feel that you may take that same stance shouldn’t you have studied that faith as I have. The devil uses that faith to draw people away from the true God. “If one wants to defeat thy enemy, one must know thy enemy”. Not that Mormon’s are the enemy, but the schemes of the devil are. Just as the Muslims above Sir, you seem to need further study.
