Rustic Hearts and Flowers Engagement Card

I love being about to make cards to celebrate special moments - like an engagement!

And it was so much fun making this card for a couple of very special friends.

I stamped the hearts from the Wood Words Stamp Set straight onto the gorgeous wood background of one of the sheets of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack giving a lovely rustic feel.

Then added some sparkle by adding a Gold Glimmer Paper heart cut with the Blooming Heart Thinlit Die, topped with some flowers cut from the Wood Textures Papers, and a congratulations banner.

I suspect I am not the only person who has what I call Birthday Card Emergencies - you know that moment when you are asked for a gorgeous birthday card right now and the person knows they should have asked sooner but ... or you get a lovely last moment invitation to a birthday party... or maybe you just spotted a birthday you forgot in your diary.

Night Sky Hometown Greetings Christmas Card

Today I have another Christmas Card to share with you, again featuring the gorgeous Hometown Greetings Dies.

I just love the gorgeous silhouette of this village.

The background was a lot of fun to make - I inked some Bermuda Bay, then some Night of Navy and finally some Elegant Eggplant ink on the card and then splattered some water to create the stars.

I love how the shimmer still shows and how pretty the overall effect is. Adding the greeting on another strip of card adds to the dimension of the card giving it even more depth. If however you wanted to save a layer for postage I think the card would still look lovely.

I love to have a stack of thank you cards on hand and these cute note cards are ideal.

They feature the gorgeous flowers from the Icing on the Cake Stamp Set.

The greeting is from the One Big Meaning Stamp Set.

One of the things I like about my Stampin' Up! Collection is how well different sets mix and match.

I had fun trying out different versions of this card - can you choose a favourite? I couldn't!

Hometown Greetings Christmas Card

How many Christmas Cards are you planning to make this year? I have to confess I am behind schedule with mine but today I am sharing one I had a lot of fun making.

The sky background was made by sponging Night of Navy Ink onto Glossy White Card and then spritzing it with some water to make the 'stars'. When it was dry I also splattered some Wink Of Stella for extra sparkle.

I then added the die cut scene, mounted everything up and the card was done! Fun and simple, just the way I like it :D

Vintage Autumn Leaves Congratulations Card

I have been really enjoying the autumn leaves this year and so today I thought I would share a Congratulations Card they inspired.

I had fun making the background using daubers and ink onto Glossy White Cardstock and then stamping over the top with Early Espresson Ink. You have to wait a few moments for it to dry on the glossy card but I think it is worth the wait!

I have then added a few golden leaves and some punched layers behind my sentiment.

I love taking inspiration from nature and the things I see around me - how about you?

Sneak Peek - New Stampin' Up! Markers - Stampin' Blends

Next week we can officially say Hello to the wonderful new Stampin' Blends Artist quality alcohol markers - and today I have a little sneak peek of them for you.

As a demonstrator I got to play with them ahead of their release and all I can say is WOW they are amazing. I'm not a great artist, and not even all that good at colouring but they are so easy and so fun to use.

Recently lots of lovely clever and savvy crafters joined the Stampin' Super Stars - our lovely group of stampers. I like to welcome people to our group with a card and using beautiful papers such as these ones from the Delightful Daisy Pack make it easy to have a stunning background quickly.

I love how the Tranquil Tide colour washes across the sheet meaning no two cards are the same. I was able to get 8 card fronts from each sheet of paper.

I then stamped and embossed directly onto the patterned paper for this gorgeous look.

There is a new addition to my household ... a very cute, very young puppy - she is an adorable bundle of mischief who keeps me busy and is not yet sleeping through the night.
