American Idol is Back

It’s time for the return of American Idol! It’s hard to believe we have reached season 11. This should be a good season without all the drama of new judges or concern about who likes or doesn’t like who. For example—everyone thought Paula and Simon just HATED one another. Then who does Simon pick as a judge on his new show? PAULA! All drama manufactured by the tabloids to get free press. When the new dates and times showed up on my Cable TV Advisor I put them on my calendar so I would not miss an episode. Unlike many people I like to watch the early episodes with the auditions. It’s fun to try to pick who will make it the farthest and who will even be successful outside of the show, in spite of how far they make it. I don’t always agree with the judges opinions at the auditions or who they pick to move on. I wonder if not getting chosen might even be the best thing for some of these folks? It would be interesting for AI to do a follow up show on people who didn’t make it in the auditions.

Sledding...

This photo taken last week. We still have a little bit of snow in the backyard, just enough for the kids to play but this week, the snow starting to melt and the little snow hill we made last week already melted so we never get a chance to go and play outside. This coming Tuesday and Wednesday it said, we will have more snow in the Valley so hopefully the snow will file it up again that way we can build another hill for the kids to play for their sled. I just hope it won't get so cold this week because I don't like it when the temperature drops down to zero hehe :-) but will see...

roller chain

I never seen my husband rode his bicycle before. I am not sure if its still working or not. I think it still work but maybe it needs air on the bikes wheel because it seems flat and needs air. We check the roller chain and it seems fine. This summer, he said we will go for a family bike ride. Since I don’t have my own bicycle, we are planning to get one this spring time I guess. The kids have their bike, we bought it last year at Walmart. I am welcoming the year 2012! We are so happy that we got the house we like. Our moving work out pretty good. I'm done unpacking all the stuff and we started getting to know people in the area. We just invited a couple of friends from our congregation and we had them come over for dinner. We had great time, since they have two kids also, two boys a 1 year old and a 2 year old. My kids Dana and Dustin having a lot of fun. We wish that this coming 2012, will be a great year to us. I am still hoping that we can visit my family in the Philippines this year. So to all bloggers out there, thanks for all the visits and hope you will have a great year also this year 2012! Happy Blogging everyone!

Looking for a tropical fish

In this small town of Monte Vista, they don't have great selections for tropical fish. We already look in this town but it seems like they don't have pet store in the area. We look in Alamosa but they only have one pet store up there, they don't have so much tropical fish. Well, they have couple but they are not pretty good and some of their fishes are look sick. I guess we need to drive to Pueblo tomorrow and look more tropical fish. We only have two fish left in our aquarium and we need to add a little bit more, maybe 8 more fishes to make it to 10. Will see, if we can find more fishes that is not too expensive in Pueblo.

Staying at home

Staying home alone with the kids was always what I wanted to do, but when my husband started having to go out of town for business I thought it might be a little more than I bargained for! Those first few nights at home alone were pretty much terrifying…every little noise and bump made me jump out of bed and run into my sons’ room. Eventually I had to go to my neighbor’s house and ask him if he would sleep in the guest room! (He’s a former Navy SEAL…) My husband heard about all this and thought the whole thing was ridiculous. He immediately went to look at flushing home security and looked into a security system and he bought me some mace to keep in the bedroom. We beefed up the locks and I must say, I do feel safer now sleeping in my own house, which is a good thing! I can’t believe I made such a big fuss as a grown woman but when you’re scared, you’re scared and there’s nothing you can do about it!

We just moved in last Thursday and that day was not a good day because it was snowing a lot and it was freezing cold but you know what? the people unloading our stuff doesn't care at all. They give their 100% service and they finish unloading our stuff within 3 hours. They are pretty fast and they did pretty good, we will absolutely hire them again next time. This is the 3rd time that we moved and Atlas Van Lines is the company that we trust to pack our stuff. I am almost done unpacking our stuff, one box to go in our bedroom and the boxes at the garage, I think my husband will do it by himself because most of them are just tools and old stuff for the kids. Anyhow, these are some photos I took that time in our moving day :-)

guitar lessons

Some of my friends are really good in playing guitar. I was trying to learn before but I never get a chance to continue the lessons since I ran out of patience to it. For me, its really hard, I am not sure but maybe playing guitar is not for me. I really appreciate my friends hard work and I know they understand me. They told me not to give up and if I really want to learn, I can get a guitar lessons whenever I want. My son love to play instruments like drums, piano and guitar and if he’s really interested to learn, I wanted to take a guitar lessons for him when we move to Alamosa. Will see…

Our moving is getting near! Next week will be the house closing and I guess the moving company will come over and start packing all our things. I never get a chance to say goodbye to some of our brother and sister in our congregation but I guess I still have one more week to do that. This week, me and my friends will have get together here in the house and let them know that we’re moving soon now. I will going to miss them a lot. I will just try to make myself busy when we get there and meet new friends in Alamosa. We can start a new life there and hopefully we can spend more time on service. The weather there is more colder than her so I am not sure if I will like it. Well, it’s only cold on winter but in summer it will be nice. My husband says we can do more outdoor stuff like sledding in winter, hiking on spring or summer and if we need to do a big shopping, we can visit Pueblo to do all those stuff. There are a lot of things to do there and I heard that they have nice hot spring too.

Last week on Thursday, we visit Monte Vista and stay for one night and then on Friday, we get a chance to look for houses. We ended up seeing one house since the two house that my husband like is not available anymore. The other house is like Italian style and someone already rented the house. The other one is a manufactured home and my husband said, we won't be able to get any manufactured home style. Well, we have another one that he like the most and when I saw the house, I started to like it. It's more bigger than our house, the backyard has a huge space and they already have a deck and a garden. There are a lot of room in the house about 2014 square feet and .38 lot size. It's pretty big and has a 3 car garage. I think this is perfect for us with 3 bed and 2 full bath and have two walk in closet. The house was built in year 1997 and the house is well taking care off. We are looking forward to move in our new house this coming 20th I guess or not before New Year. But will see ;-)

We hire Tile Meister to do the tile job. They did pretty good! They finish it in two days.

Putting the grout, it's kind a messy and muddy!

After they put the grout, its all clean now! So far so good!

This is how it looks like now! Mike already put the base board and a carpet. I'm glad we finish the flooring. My husband did a lot of work this past couple days. This morning he finish painting outside and add frame in the window. It looks pretty nice!

Working in the hospital is kind a tiring, I can't even hold to my friend who work as a nurse since she was so busy this past couple months. She works overtime and because of that, she don't have time to meet me up this weekend. My New Fall Layout
