Wow it takes awhile to recover from injury. But after two medical visits my doctor’s have deemed me capable of returning to writing. Not only had I incurred a severe head injury, but I had also sprained my wrist pretty badly making typing or even handwriting nearly impossible [except for minor blog adjustments].

A lot happened while I was recuperating the least of which is the freedom acheived by the three women who were held captive by Ariel Castro for 10 years.

Marriage Equality is ratified in Minnesota and Delaware.

Moving onto to popular culture: Like many I am also awaiting the new suspense movie Passion and yes I know that many bisexuals are excited because they beliebve that the movie will be a murder mystery stemming from an ill conceived bisexual romance. I watched Love Crime the movie of which Passion is the American remake, if anything Love Crime was hardly a bisexual romance gone awry and more of a sado/masochistic experiment in corporate espionage cum fatal heterosexual setup.

Then again it is an American movie and goodness knows that American Directors love to pander to purient interests regardless of dramatic relevance.

Since I no longer have cable, I was hoping

that my digital antenna would’nt fail and I'd be able to watch the Grey’s Anatomy Season finale and things were just fine until Callie discovered Arizona's scrub on Hot Visiting Doc Lauren.

Look Shonda if you want to throw Callie back to penis loving you don’t do it like this. It’s rather transparent that Callie will not look for nor find another woman should she and Arizona BREAK UP. What might have been vindication against negative perceptions of bisexuals has given sway to negative perceptions of Gay Women as lotharios who don't respect relationships or hold a grudge when their partner saved their life by amputating a necrotizing leg.

Besides Hot Visiting Doc Lauren seems to be a bit stalkerish telling Arizona that she’s not going to give up or whatever.

More importantly, this will be Callie’s 2nd failed marriage, so she should be wondering why she chooses such lousy people and why do these seemingly brilliant individuals always behave as if they do not have a clue about human nature at times when it’s most important to have a clue? Also when you cheat on your partner you will inevitably get exposed.

Damn why do we have to wait until October or November for more? I may lose interest by then, or worse forget. Remember I had a very serious head injury

GLAAD insists on securing its lips to the arse of any famous person leading me to reflect and bemuse on some cultural occurrences and personal matters resulting in the inevitable “WTF” reaction:

Former President Bill Clinton received an award from G.L.A.A.D

Seriously WTF?! G.L.A.A.D [Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation], apparently remains intent of securing its lips to the arse of celebrities and it doesn’t seem to matter that Clinton was the person who signed the Defense of Marriage Act [DOMA} into law, subsequently denying thousands of Lesbians and Gays the right to marry.

Former President Bill Clinton accepted GLAAD's 'Advocate for Change' Award at the GLAAD Awards in Los Angeles and while he did not, as GLAAD had not in its announcement that Clinton would be receiving the award, mention that he was the one who had signed it into law in 1996, one heckler (at 5:35 in the video) reminded the crowd of that fact.

"You signed it!" yelled the attendee.

Clinton is a politician who had access to a superb education at Oxford University, where he became a Rhodes Scholar. When he was president Clinton knew the nation’s consensus and signed legislation that he believed was in accordance with public sentiment. Thanks to the efforts of the LGBT population those sentiments have changed. However that hardly means that Mr. Clinton should be credited for that change.

Also if he accredited Chelsea then shouldn‘t she have gotten the award?

GLAAD keeps doing crap like this: Giving awards to people who either 1. Initially create an environment that is hostile to the advancement of human rights [As in the case of Clinton signing DOMA into law], or 2. In the case of Chaz Bono being awarded for doing absolutely nothing (Yes I know that he wrote a book, but he was already awarded for that].

Is GLAAD’s diagnosis of Sycophancy the result of being star-struck” and having access notable politicians and entertainers as an organization that is able to persuade them to attend functions under the ruse of receiving an award? Appears to be the case regarding Clinton.

There are individuals such as actor Charlize Theron who has NEVER waivered or Flip Flopped in her support for Marriage Equality.

On a personal level, my recent experiences left me questioning the purpose of blogging. Because of privacy concerns I won’t pblish steamy personal information and Lesberatti isn’t much of an Infotainment Blog. However I wonder what brings the readers to this site. It’s been ages since I posted about Tracie Dinwiddie, or Albert of Monaco’s illegitimate children and I am so over subtext it’s sickening. So what’s left?

France has become the 14th country to approve a law allowing gay marriage.

France legalizes same-sex marriage after wrenching debate

The bill, which also legalises adoption by same-sex couples, was passed by 321 votes to 225 in the French parliament.

It Was In Her Eyes

As I patiently wait for the [huge and hard as a rock knot] swelling on my head to subside...

I watched a traler: for the movie: The Tall Man [Below] and I swore the actor who played the mother was a Native American actor that I've been a fan of for years [Irene Bedard above], but when I looked at the credits lo and behold it was [Mrs. Justin Timberlake] Jessica Biel, who like Bedard is also native American [at least part] and in this trailer it certainly shows through in her bone structure. You can see it in her eyes.

I wish Biel would embrace the Native American aspect of her identity more instead of always going for the typical "white girl" movie role, not because I think that she isn't suited for such roles as she certainly adapted well to the role of daughter Mary Camden on the television series 7th Heaven. However I believe that Biel is in a unique poisition to portray Native American Characters that transcend the stereotypical expectations that Hollywood seems tethered to. Let's face it: Because Biel looks more white [or her "native-ness" is more diluted] than Irene Bedard, Biel has a better chance in bypassing the long existing racist assumptions of Hollywood that for example still casts African Americans as maids. Isn't that right Viola Davis?

Nonetheless Justin certainly scored a babe and one certainly sees Biel's multiethnicity in: The Tall Man

A Necessary Post – Will Pistorius RUN?

I wasn’t going to post today, as I sat down at my computer to read today’s headlines. See when I heard the crack after my head hit the floor, I could have sworn from the sound that I had split my skull open. Well I’m still alive, but I am pretty banged and bruised.

Still when I saw the headline that Oscar Pistorious was granted unrestricted privileges to leave South Africa, I thought: How effin’ stupid is the magistrate.

I cannot be the only person on earth that believes that once Pistorius is able to board a flight out of S.A. that he may go on the lam, to a country where it would be nearly impossible to extradite to face charges concerning Reeva Steenkamp’s murder.

I mean the South Afican Government should stop the charade nd tell Steenkamp’s family that they really have NO intention of locking up Pistorius and intend on granting him every opportunity to go into hiding. I have NEVER heard of anyone being indicted on charges of FIRST Degree murder being allowed to travel globally before their trial. It’s bad enough that the prosecution has mucked things up as much as they have, but this?

State prosecutor Gerrie Nel told the court Thursday that he plans to serve Pistorius with an indictment on June 4.

No trial date has yet been set...Nor may one ever be set. Are the prosecutor's serious? Do they have a clue? I'm the one with the cranial trauma so why are these idiots acting as they have a head injury?

NBC Announces 'Smash' Saturday Burn-Off, Shuffles 'Go On' and 'The New Normal' Finales & Moves 'Ready for Love' Into Post-Voice Tuesday Slot

Bye, bye Smash! I hope Josh Safran is never hired as a showrunner for any show ever again.

Saturdays are for me usually reserved for cathcing the prefvious week’s reruns of Law and Order SVU and Chicago Fire. Smash is being moved to the weekend doesn’t bode well for the show continuing.

Smash lost my interest in Season 2 and why can be summed up in 2 Words: Kathryn McPhee.

McPhee should never have been cast as the lead in the series or the fake Broadway Musical Bombshell.

Megan Hilty should have been cast as the lead in SMASH

Megan Hilty as Ivy clearly had the superior Broadway trained pipes. Most of season one was spent focusing on the lackluster dynamics between Derek and Catherine and it was not interesting.

Season 2 introduced us to the character of Jimmy a drugged out actor singer composer and Speilberg et al are still shoving McPhee down our throats like Ilene Chaiken used to force Bette Porter on us. No she wasn’t beautiful or hot and she was an insecure jealous bitch (Jennifer Beals I mean).

So here we have another promising show going by the wayside, much like the Playboy Club and all because writers and producers SUCK.

See Hollywood or the entertainment industry is a closed industry. That means that you are more likely to have you work stolen, than be offered a legitimate opportunity. This is why I need to know who Lena Dunham sucked to get 2 seasons of Girls produced, when her work is reminiscent of my freshman playwright projects in college.

They’re Almost Gone..THEY’RE BACCCKKKKKK! And So Am I…

March 11th was my birthday so instead of writing for the entertainment of readers who don’t wish me well anyway, I decided to take some much appreciated (by me) “Me Time.”

I decided not to write because I am under enough scrutiny: If not by certain Bloggers who indict me for having advertisements on my blog while raking in the big bucks themselves and simultaneously whining that they don’t ask for contributions.

To readers who accuse me of “Sour Grapes” (?)

You reach an age where you wonder: Is this worth it? Is it worth commenting on tired and redundant popular culture that’s never going to evolve beyond emotional adolescence?

There are no "”Girls” in my world, I’m serious. Everyone I personally know is well over 30. They are women. We don’t think in the context of “Girls Liking Girls” and frankly I get tired of reading about girls. It would seem as if nowadays adult lesbians are nothing more than a spectre.

That’s a shame and quite confusing because I’ve always been what I define as an “In Betweener” too young to partake of the financial advantages that seniors used to get Pre Paul Ryan led obstruction of President Obama) and too old to date young women without social imputation (Although ironically I seem to attract younger and younger women. Well I know what that’s about).

Before you mutter: "If you don't like the show then don't watch it" - I give EVERY Show at least one season to prove itself. Some shows I give more than a season if I find somethiong worthwhile as in the case "Maya"(Bianca Lawson) on Pretty Little Liars and . The 2nd season of Girls has ended and I am finished with this show.

On The Topic of HBO's Girls:

It’s disturbing to read articles about writers being upset with Lena Dunham creator of: HBO series: Girls. It's even disorienting to read writers praising her. Here we go again.

“…thanks to her multi-million dollar book advance, not to mention her hit television show Girls, (now its second season), Lena Dunham has driven plenty of writers to a level of resentment bordering on mania that makes Salieri, the mediocre composer driven to an insane asylum by the not-at-all mediocre talents of Mozart in the film Amadeus, look sane by comparison.”

The last episodes that I watch included the season finale, yet amounted to nothing more than than what a 1st year screenwriter would offer in a freshman class.

In fact I offered the same pointless C\clichéd drivel as a freshman studying theater at Russell Sage College. Take for example episode 7 or was it 8? where Dunham was in the elevator and she was digging in her arse.

I wrote the exact same scenario for my redeux of a Romeo and Juliet scene (more specifically the scene with Juliet and her nurse). That was over 20 years ago! It wasn’t funny back then and it still isn’t funny.

Granted I thought that it would be funny, but the audience reacted more to the improvised slapstick elements between Juliet (me) and the nurse in the scene.

So is this what we can expect or deserve? A 20 something year old girl with a multi million dollar contract for a television show that give viewers predictable scenarios like: Adam running shirtless to a whacked out Lena Dunham (complete with horrible haircut) merely because she called him?

And Marnie, the requisite Gold Digging Best Friend? Also why do Hannah and Soshanna wear such little girl dresses?

oh, yeah, that is GOLD.…"

nobody, whether praising or blaming, has actually conveyed what this miserable crap-colored show is like to watch.

I’ll tell you what it’s like to watch…it’s like viewing Adam Jerking off for a half hour over and over and over, because once you’ve been exposed to that horror you are unable to cleanse it from your memory. You CANNOT “Un-See” it. In other words: Torture

A Close Second

I saw the new Cirque Du Soleil movie Worlds Away that was directed by James Cameron.

This movie was magical. I’ve always wanted to live in the land of Cirque Du Soleil, ever since they first came to my city in 1992. Wow that long ago.

World’s away delivers a a telling commentary of magical dreams juxtaposed with fearful nightmares., octopi and firedancers.

Magical, touching, unforgettable show. It fills my heart with joy and enchantment giving the viewer give a chance to be part of a magical world - the world of Cirque du Soleil. Magical, the only word that relates to the feeling of benevolence I derived from charatcers like this:

I saw Worlds Away in Imax and that alone is worth the watch, a movie screen that is nearly 10 stories tall.

The very first movie I saw on an Imax screen was the Blue Planet, at the Smithsoneum Museum of Air and Space in Washington D.C.

Towards the end, the lovers reunite in a forest and look up at trees nearly ten stories tall withj performer

In fact Imax movies are one of my favorite 3rd date destinations

The very fuirst time that I saw Charlotte Church, she was on the Oprah Wimfrey show and about 12 years old. She was singing Ave Maria and was the original Jackie Evancho.

Well I thought that Charlotte had the voice of an Angel (if they existed that is), when in all reality she's just a classically trained opera singer. Jackie Evancho is another Opera singer in training. These young women didn't just burst onto the public arena, their parents saw a natural talent and nurtured it, just like all loving parents should.

Well Charlotte spent years performing religious music because it's hard to break out of character once one is crowned as having the voice of an angel but she has branched out and here is one of her earlier secular performances.

Charlotte Church will never neglect the beautiful instrument that enhances fans of the classical genre.

There is no reason for Oscar Pistorius to claim that he mistook Reeva Steenkamp for a burglar because he must have known she was in his home and therefore should have identified the person in the bathroom first. The media seems to be romanticizing the fact that Reeva: "Died in Pistorius' arms."

Sh*t he shot her! There's was no scenario when he just came upon her dying as a result of being attacked by a stranger. Oscar didn't take her in his arms as some sort of hero. Of course he tried to revive her, he KNEW he single handedly destroyed everything he had worked for

Thousands of people have come out onto the streets of Venezuela's capital Caracas to pay tribute to President Hugo Chavez, who died on Tuesday.

Mr Chavez's coffin spent more than six hours in a procession to the Military Academy, where he will lie in state.
The government has announced seven days of mourning for the president, who died aged 58 after 14 years in the post.
Mr Chavez, a controversial figure and staunch critic of the US, was seriously ill with cancer for more than a year.
A self-proclaimed revolutionary, he inspired a left-wing revival across Latin America.

Dramatic images are being broadcast on Venezuelan TV stations, as the hearse of Hugo Chavez crosses the city surrounded by a sea of red flags. People are crying and sobbing, screaming the name of the late president, many wearing red T-shirts and carrying his images.
"We carry you in our heart," said one woman sobbing on live television. "Long live Hugo Chavez," she screamed.
Foreign presidents, such as Bolivia's Evo Morales, are taking part in the procession, together with Mr Chavez's family members, Vice President Nicolas Maduro and all top government officials.
This is just the beginning of public events to mourn Mr Chavez. The funeral will be held on Friday, and even greater crowds are expected.

Mr Chavez's illness prevented him from taking the oath of office after he was re-elected for a fourth term in October.

"Let there be no weakness, no violence. Let there be no hate. In our hearts there should only be one sentiment: Love."

Vice-President Nicolas Maduro was emotional as he announced Hugo Chavez's death

Foreign Minister Elias Jaua told state television that Mr Maduro would also be the candidate of the governing United Socialist Party (PSUV).
Opposition leader Henrique Capriles, whom Mr Chavez defeated in October's election, offered his condolences to Mr Chavez's family, saying "we were adversaries, but never enemies".
Mr Capriles is widely expected to be chosen to stand against the vice-president.
The BBC's Irene Caselli, in Caracas, says Mr Maduro will probably win, but the question remains whether he will be able to lead Venezuela following the loss of its charismatic president.

The exact nature of Mr Chavez's cancer was never officially disclosed, leading to continuing speculation about his health, and he had not been seen in public for several months.

Last May, the former army paratrooper said he had recovered from an unspecified cancer, after undergoing surgery and chemotherapy in 2011 and a further operation in February 2012.

Despite this, he won another six-year presidential term in October 2012.
Mr Maduro has mentioned a plot against Venezuela, saying he had no doubt that Mr Chavez's cancer, first diagnosed in 2011, had been induced by foul play by Venezuela's enemies. The US promptly rejected the accusations as "absurd".
Two US diplomats had been expelled from the country for spying on Venezuela's military, Mr Maduro added.
Mr Chavez burst onto Venezuela's national stage in 1992 to lead a failed military coup.
After two years in prison, he returned to politics and was swept to power in a 1998 election.
A self-proclaimed socialist and revolutionary, he won enduring support among the poor and repeated election victories by using Venezuela's oil wealth to pursue socialist policies.
His government has implemented a number of "missions" or social programmes, including education and health services for all.
But his opponents accused him of mishandling the economy and taking the country towards dictatorship. Inequality has been reduced but growth overall has been lower than in some other Latin American economies.
Internationally, he was a staunch critic of US "imperialism" and accused Washington of backing a failed coup against him in 2002.
The US described the death as a "challenging time", reaffirming what it described as its support for the Venezuelan people and its interest in developing a constructive relationship with Caracas.
Later, unnamed Washington officials said a US delegation would be sent to Mr Chavez's funeral.
Analysts say the death could alter the political balance in Latin America - dealing a blow to leftist states while favouring more centrist countries.
There could also be an economic impact given that Venezuela sells oil at below market prices to some neighbouring countries, especially in the Caribbean.

What’s Going on over at certain lesbian Pop Culture sites. I have no idea, but today I read a rather lenthy diatribe about a: Succubus or Concubine or Dick Butkus or something. All I know is that I don’t watch Lost Girl and neither have I watched Pretty Little Liars or even Rizzoli and Isles this season.

Seems like I’ve moved on, but apparently Lesbians are angry over comments concerning Lost Girl? Why? Fill me in please.

As far as the subject of subtext is conconcerned, well I know that in the past I’ve wholeheartedly railed against it.

I am resigned to the notion that nothing is going to change which would make it acceptable to fantasize about straight women having affairs with each other, unless it was subtext written about an unlikely affair between Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington.

Which is why I’ve given up on that also.

Yep I’m content.

Besides I still have to write about Charlize Theron’s Oscar performance.

I hate the word “Allegedly” as in Oscar Pistorius “Allegedly” shot Reeva Steenkamp.
No allegedly, he shot her. No: “I thought that she was an intruder” and I know that the Steenkamp family wants to beleve that their beloved daughter wasn’t being trerrorized but true healing comes from justice and facing the facts.

Is there anyone involved with the Reeva Steenkamp/Oscar Pistorius case that hasn't killed someone? There's some serious dysfunction going on in that faily. The uncle arrogantly asserts Oscar's "innocence" and the brother runs down a female motorcyclist. Maybe they need to pose for a family photo wearing "Wife Beater T-Shirts," giving an entirely different meaning to the term "Lady Killer."

American athletes usully wait a few years before they kill their romantic partner. Pistorius didn't wait long after getting onto the world stage to kill the woman (Reeva Steenkamp) that he claims was the love of his life, even though they only dated for 4 months.

Women i n South Africa Protect yourself, if you are an attractive blond watch out. You're a particularly prime target for the Pistporius gang.

Oh and did you know that it isn't necessary to have alcohol in the blood if you are a cold hearted killer.

A Canadian girl performed on Fire Island and the rest is history. How voluptuous was France Jolie? I mean for a young woman she certainly was shapely. I almost feel dirty for writing about how sexy she was in this video given that she was only 16 at the time but damn she sure was sexy! While Oscar Pistorius shed tears in a Pretorius Courthouse friends and relative of Reeva Steenkamp gathered for a final goodbye at her memorial service in Port Elizabeth South Africa.Reeva’s father father Barry said: 'We have to keep Reeva in our hearts forever.'

"Reeva stood against abuse against women and that stand is more powerful now. Reeva represented a world of strength and people coming out of the church are stronger." He said her father would spread her ashes during another private service to be held at a later date.

Amid the grief, there was also anger. Some mourners demanded punishment for Pistorius, who has admitted killing Steenkamp but denies doing so intentionally.
Gavin Venter, a former jockey who worked for Steenkamp's father, said: "Without a doubt he's a(Pistorius) danger to the public. He'll be a danger to witnesses. He must stay in jail. He's already shown how dangerous he can be for what he did to Reeva."
But is Oscar attempting to garner public sympathy with his crocodile tears? Most people don’t intend to kill the person they are angry at. That’s how many deaths occur.

Pistorius’ account of the incident doesn’t make much sense to me. I come from a law enforcement family and the words he uttered don’t make sense. For example:
It’s widely known that Pistorius is an avid gun enthusiast. That he was a regular at shooting ranges.

So it should logically follow that he was familiar with the rules of gun safety, the most basic of them being know what you are shooting at and where tee bullet will go.
I don’t even own a gun and I know that.

Pistorius then claimed that the nonexistent intruder that he mistook Reeva for, was locked in the bathroom.

He claims to have hollered “Get out of my house.”
What’s interesting is that this part of his alibi could very well be true especially if he and Steenkamp were arguing.

However if Pistorius is evading the domestic violence issue that means that if there is no evidence of a fight or argument (which there clearly was) then Reeva would have responded and identified herself:
“I’m in the bathroom” or “It’s Me”
As reported to police: The neighbors heard screams so Pistorius must have also heard screams.
As far as I am concerned, it’s over for Oscar.
The admitted fact that he called a friend first after he “realized” that he had “mistakenly” shot Reeva instead of immediately calling paramedics is criminal negligence.
It could reasonably be speculated that after the shooting Pistorius panicked and called the friend to develop and alibi.

If YOUR loved on was gravely injured, who would YOU call first? Paramedics or a friend?
See life isn't that complicated, so you can rest assured that the defense will construct wild and convoluted scenarios to exculpate the prime suspect.
They may even go so far as tom blame Reeva for her own death.

But you know bullsh*t when you read and hear it.

So that means that Pistorius allowed Steenkamp to "Bleed Out" and die. Pistorius has no defense for any of this.

Athletes take Anabolic steroids to enhance their athletic performance. The thing about steroids in that if taken over a period of time, not only can it have a detrimental affected on one's body, but it can adversely affect a person's mental state.

Professional wrestler Chris Benoit murdered his family and then committed suicide while on steroids.

Now things are beginning to make sense. No one understood how a man could kill a woman in such a violent manner after only 4 months of dating. A Steroidal induced rampage certainly explains the extreme characteristics of Pistorius' behavior.
A Bloody cricket bat and the fact that Steenkamp was in nightwear intensify the brutality of his actions.

Steroid use also explains why his ex Samantha Tayilor also says that Oscar is not the meek man he appears to be.

It's over for Oscar, this is the end for him and his delusional family needs to wake up because South Africa isn't tearing Pistorius down. He did that to himself when he murdered Reeva Steenkamp.

Radio host David O’Sullivan said Pistorius had “an unsettling dark side”.
