How Spatial Intelligence Shapes the Future of Estates

By Sarah McAllister

Across centuries, the most enduring estates — from European aristocratic lands to Asian imperial gardens — were never designed solely through architecture. They were shaped through a deeper understanding of the relationship between land, orientation, water, movement and human life.

Today, we are rediscovering that these invisible relationships still matter.

Modern architecture increasingly speaks about biophilic design, neuroaesthetics and environmental psychology. Yet long before these terms emerged, the ancient discipline of Feng Shui developed a sophisticated framework for understanding how landform and orientation influence human experience.

At its highest level, this work is not about interior decoration or symbolic objects. It is about spatial intelligence at landscape scale.

The Estate as an Energetic System

An estate functions as a living spatial ecosystem.

Road approaches, water movement, tree lines, viewsheds and building orientation all influence how people experience the land. Small adjustments in circulation, entrances or landform integration can dramatically change the long-term coherence of a property.

In classical Feng Shui this was understood through the interaction of form and compass orientation – the visible shape of the land and the invisible directional forces that move through it.

When these two dimensions are aligned, estates tend to feel calm, coherent and naturally prosperous.

When they are not, subtle friction often emerges over time.

Why Pre-Planning Spatial Strategy Matters

Many of the most impactful spatial decisions occur before planning applications are submitted.

At this stage there is still freedom to refine:

building orientation

road alignment

entrance sequences

water placement

landscape structure

view corridors

These decisions are often invisible to the casual observer but can shape the long-term harmony and value of a property.

For large estates in particular, spatial strategy can help avoid costly misalignments that become difficult to correct once construction begins.

Beyond Decoration: A Strategic Advisory Role

In contemporary practice, this work sits closer to strategic environmental advisory than interior design.

My role typically involves working alongside architects, landscape designers and estate owners to assess how landform, orientation and spatial flow interact across the whole site.

Rather than imposing rigid rules, the goal is to identify subtle adjustments that strengthen coherence between:

the house

the surrounding land

the movement of people through the estate

These refinements often remain invisible to guests, yet they profoundly shape how a place feels.

A Rediscovery of Ancient Spatial Knowledge

For thousands of years, Asian scholars studied how land, water and orientation influence human prosperity and wellbeing. Today we are rediscovering that this ancient spatial knowledge aligns surprisingly well with modern research into environmental psychology.

At estate scale, the land itself becomes the primary architecture.

When its structure is understood and respected, the resulting environments often possess a quiet sense of harmony that is difficult to replicate through design alone.

Looking Forward

As the world places increasing value on wellness, legacy properties and long-term stewardship of land, spatial intelligence will likely become an increasingly important aspect of estate planning.

The future of architecture may not lie only in new technologies, but in rediscovering the subtle environmental intelligence that has shaped great places for centuries.

How might office design feng shui principles help people with neurodivergence?

In March this year I was asked by a leading London commercial interior designer how might a feng shui designed office be of benefit to people with neurodivergence? It got me thinking and I sent her some thoughts over email for her pitch to her client, and it inspired me to write it all up into this post.

What is neurodivergence?

The definition of a neurodivergent person is someone whose brain functions in a way that differs from what is considered typical or neurotypical. This doesn’t mean they have a “problem” or are “inferior,” but rather that their brains process information, learn, and behave in unique ways. Neurodivergence encompasses a wide range of conditions, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and others. Neurodivergent individuals often have heightened sensory sensitivities and are acutely aware of details in their work and also in their surroundings. Their eye for detail is mostly a blessing but can also easily cause sensory overload and a tendency towards introversion.

Feng Shui can help Calm Heightened Sensory Sensitivity:

One of the basic tenets of feng shui is about creating safety and security in design – something which many modern office designers overlook in their push towards daring and thought provoking designs for the simple sense of sensationalism and design drama! Since Feng Shui is a holistic design discipline and one that prioritises health, many feng shui principles prioritise comfort and security, which is fundamental for our nervous system to be able to relax and not be hypervigilant. Feng Shui principles can be used to minimize visual clutter, manage noise levels, and select calming colors to create a less overwhelming space.

Colours, scents, emotion, shape, texture

Each Feng Shui direction is linked to colour, scent, body parts, emotion, shape, texture, so each part of the office can be skilfully designed to be unique.

Clear pathways and organization

Implementing clear pathways and designated areas for specific activities can help with navigation and reduce anxiety, aligning with feng shui principles of guiding the occupant in a clear ‘chi flow’ through the space and keeping clutter at a minimum.

Personalization

Feng shui encourages adapting the space to the individual’s needs, allowing neurodivergent people to personalize their environment with elements that bring comfort and focus.

Mindful design:

A key aspect of feng shui is “mindful design,” which emphasizes being aware of how the space affects one’s mood and energy, a practice particularly relevant for neurodivergent individuals.

Sacred Geometry Acoustics

Part of my feng shui work also includes sacred geometry which is very much linked to accoustics and helps to create a specific resonance of sound waves. Why leave this to chance when a harmonious vibration can be consciously created?

Biophillic Design

So many of the principles of biophillic design agree with feng shui. Neurodivergent individuals, in particular, benefit emotionally and socially from exposure to nature. This could be in form of plants and/or water features/aquariums. They also like to have spaces where they can retreat to be on their own, or cloistered away but still connected to the group. This is a fundamental principle of yin and yang, which helps create more active and open spaces (yang) balanced with more restful and protected spaces (yin). Too much yang in a space is counterproductive and stressful and too much yin is too restful and makes everyone sluggish and slow! A balance of the two is important, which is why a great feng shui expert understands yin and yang at a very deep level, and how to apply to a modern space.

So, I hope you have found this interesting. Do get in touch if you would like to create a beautifully unique commercial space, whether office, factory, new village or even an entire new city!

I love my big red feng shui compass, and my Chinese almanac, calendars and reference charts as they give me a deep and accurate methodology to create energy strategies at a home or a business for the benefit of my clients. Whether they need better sleep, reduced arguments, increased profits or sales, or simply want to build the best home, spa, office or factory from scratch my fengshui method applies specific tactics for specific outcomes… A good metaphor for my work is like an electrician connecting wires throughout the property to electricity, but I connect specific points to earthly and cosmic energy.

For all the techniques, there is also a deeply spiritual side which I also harness within my work, and you can too. While it is always advisable to hire in a professional, as we can see your blind spots and help you without being too caught up in it all, you can certainly give yourself some good spiritual juju with some of the following ideas and tips:

Connect to the Buddha – the stillness of the Buddha is so helpful for calming the mind. We will never stop internal chatter completely, but we CAN let it drift past us without identifying with it. Placing the Buddha in the correct Feng Shui way means putting it higher than the head of the tallest person in the house. It represents spiritual realms above us, so when it is symbolically higher than us, this helps create that sense of reverence. It is a little different in a garden though, as the Buddha is used like an acupuncture needle so needs to be closer to the earth.

Candle light is spiritual ‘fire’

A naked flame is very powerful and candles specifically are associated with spiritual intelligence. Their soft light and soft warmth is conducive to the quietude required for spiritual reflection and is also literally ‘illuminating’.

Burning Sage

You can grow your own sage to then dry, or buy from a reputable source, such as a tribal or indigenous source. Sage has cleansing qualities on both a physical and energetic level. I find colours are brighter once I have burned sage, as energy stagnation clears.

Burning Palo Santo

Be careful with the provenance of your purchase. Never buy from cheap sources, but try to find wildcrafted and sustainably harvested sources ideally from a small local business. Palo Santo is wonderful for uplifting your mood and dispelling negativity.

Burning Frankincense

This is usually in a resin format and can be melted to smoking point on a hot charcoal. It is spiritually very protective and cleansing, and smells incredible too.

Fresh Flowers

Pretty fresh flowers are always a joy to have in a home, but do compost them or throw out once they start to visibly fade/brown, as you don’t want faded chi in the home. They also bring some welcome life and yang chi into the home for a short amount of time.

Rose oil

The soul speaks through the heart, so if you struggle to hear the whispers of your soul, try burning some rose oil in an oil burner and dabbing some diluted with a carrier oil behind your ears, on your wrists and temples and on your solar plexus and heart area.

Rose Quartz

This pretty pink crystal is very soothing and gathering in its energetic effect and it opens the heart. It is ideal to have in a bedroom on either side of your bed.

Play spiritual music

It’s incredible how evocative music can be, particularly the Native American flute. Sound waves shift the energy of a space. There are many spiritual and meditative compilations to choose from nowadays. I still find Jon Huling’s albums like Spiritlands so beautifully calming and inspiring.

Tibetan Singing Bowl or Crystal Bowl or Gong

Sound baths are extremely popular now, and I have had my brass Bhutanese singing bowl for probably two decades now. I love it and still enjoy its beautifully clearing and grounding tones.

I hope you have enjoyed these simple ways of using space, scent, sound and symbolism to create a soulful Feng Shui home for your enjoyment and enlightenment.

Your 2024 Chinese Animal mini-reading & Feng Shui tips

Master Sarah McAllister’s Chinese Animal & Feng Shui Astrology mini-forecast for 2024 Year of the Wood Dragon

The Wood Dragon year will connect to the 9 fate energy incredibly well and it will feel as if the yin & yang rhythm of life is restored. The Rabbit has been quite an introverted year in some ways, but the Dragon will be far more outgoing and active. The yang Wood is the leader – think of an oak tree for example… so you will be calling forth your own leadership and also leadership in the world will come under scrutiny.

Forestry should do well and also children’s education and healing centres but mental health could suffer this year, particularly hidden emotional difficulties, so do share with friends or a therapist if you are in any anguish. Governments might even attempt totalitarianism due to the excess leadership energy and a clashing form in the chart of the year. The best way to deflate people who are getting on their high horse is to be calm and joyous (fire element) as this will weaken the excessive wood chi.

Feng Shui of 2024

Some schools of Feng Shui say the 9 fate changes the nature of the flying stars, however, the technique I learned pre-dates this newer method. This year there is a Black 2 sickness star in the Southeast of the Flying Star. The 5 Yellow troublemaker star is in the West.

If you have a bedroom, office or main door in either the Southeast or the West, try not to worry, but it would be wise to take some action as even though these directions are very active and the sickness will also be activated by too much noise or comings and goings. Usually, a bespoke consultation onsite or over Zoom video is best to help figure out practical cures for your unique circumstances, but on the whole, these tips will help:

Avoid overstimulating both directions with loud music or too much coming and going. If either is your front door, then take care not to slam the door, and place some metal objects like a singing bowl, a wok, or a big brass umbrella stand to help drain the earth element.

Avoid too much red in both of these areas. Use white, gold, or silver (or chrome or brass, but not copper) items in these directions.

Avoid digging up the garden or starting renovations in those directions, but if you must carry out building work, hire an expert feng shui consultant like me to choose an auspicious date & time to start the project, as this will help reduce the negative impact.

Since the Leader of the Year is in the SE, we also don’t want to do any renovations or building work in the SE if we can avoid it, as the T’ai Soi does not like to be disturbed. Or if we have to, then we pick a good date to start.

If you would like to know more about how classical feng shui can help you make 2024 incredible, then Contact Me .

The Leader of the Year is the Dragon

Those born in the Year of the Dragon are the Leader of the Year – birthdays in 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024, 2036, 2048 Dragon people. The Dragon should make smoother progress towards their goals this year. Since the Dog is now against the leader of the year (Dragon) I would encourage those born in the Year of the Dog ( 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018, 2030, 2042, 2054) to get in touch for a personalised reading, as these mini-forecasts obviously don’t drill down into much detail, particularly as our main influences are associated with our time of birth. We all, in fact have FOUR animals in our chart, not just one…! Some practitioners forecast doom and gloom for the Leader of the Year, but that has never been my experience, and indeed not what my Feng Shui Grandmaster taught me either. There are differing schools of thought, but to my mind, learning and experience of my own life and that of my clients over decades, it is always a blessing to have the Grand Duke aligned with your own Chinese Zodiac Animal of the year of birth. So, good news for all those born in the year of the Dragon. It doesn’t mean you can develop a careless attitude, but it does mean that you can take more significant steps where before you might have lacked confidence, and the energy of the year will generally support you. There is much more subtlety to more in-depth readings, so do get in touch if you want me to ‘open’ a full Chinese Horoscope for you.

How the natural forces of the universe affect the energies of the year is a fascinating subject called forecasting and refers to our Heaven Luck. I prefer the term forecast over prediction as I consider it more accurate, and it also creates more psychological space to harness our Human Luck to better weather the cosmic forces, whereas prediction somehow sounds too final. We are never meant to feel victimised by the forecasts as this creates self-fulfilling prophecies; however, if we are forewarned, we are forearmed and can fine-tune our strategies.

Year of Birth 2024 Mini Forecast

The complete Four Pillars Chinese Horoscope is based on the Year, Month, Day and Hour of birth and is very bespoke to the individual. This forecast is based on the YEAR only, so it will provide a general outlook for each animal sign and is meant to help you weaken or avoid bad luck and increase your alignment with good luck. Please do understand that both your detailed horoscope and the Feng Shui of your home or office will significantly contribute to how you combine with the energies. If you want to engage at a deeper level, consider having your full horoscope ‘opened’ or a complete professional Feng Shui consultation. DIY horoscopes or Feng Shui are not recommended! You can ORDER ONLINE HERE .

I am wishing you a joyful and prosperous 2024 Year of the Wood Dragon!

“Sarah’s guidance is precise, compassionate and insightful, allowing me to make more intelligent decisions in my business and relationships. It’s like having your own magic eight-ball. She is very knowledgeable and methodical but also highly intuitive. I have no hesitation in recommending her.“

Commenting on a Southern Hemisphere birth chart I analysed “I sensed you were someone who ‘knows their stuff’ – this chart is so much more me than the other I had done. Thank you” R Hagenbuch, Sydney, Australia

Your individual chart will interact differently with the year and offer more bespoke detail, and the feng shui of your home or office will have its unique energy charts and chi patterns. To get the best results from Chinese metaphysics, it is always advisable to look not just at your space but also at your timing and your inner attitude and mindset.

How to work out your Chinese Animal sign?

For those of you born in the months of January to November, you take the year of your birth from the lists below; however, if you are born around the Winter Solstice, i.e. between 20 Dec to 31 Dec, then you will belong to the following year. For example, someone born on 26th December 2009 might think they are an Ox but in fact, the energy of the year has renewed at Winter Solstice and now become the Tiger, i.e. 2010. You do not work out your animal year from the modern day Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) dates in January or February, as this is inaccurate.

Rat 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020, 2032, 2044

The Rat has some noble assistance this year to help with their career and is great friends with the Dragon so this year will bring them favour and an increase in their influence and social life. You have opportunities to increase your income this year if you are shrewd and make decisions slowly.

The Ox this year is blessed with spiritual protection but could feel a little lonely again this year. If you start to feel isolated then make sure you reach out to friends and family and stay connected to people. The Ox also has good spiritual protection this year and will find their leadership becoming stronger. You should also benefit from an improvement in financial luck this year.

“I really enjoyed reading the horoscope report you gave me and found it very insightful. I have to say, I have consulted with many of the world’s top astrologers, and no-one had pointed out that theme from childhood. I have to give you a lot of credit for that.” Johne Kalaaj, Businessman, New York

“Sarah is a genius! Chris and I really enjoyed our horoscope partnership reading with her. It was a wonderful experience. Neither of us had ever had our chart read before, and we knew little about Chinese astrology. Sarah could explain everything in a way that was easily understandable, immediately relevant, and applicable to our lives. We learnt a lot about ourselves and each other – practical information that we still use today. Sarah’s accuracy on the timing of specific events in our lives was incredible and has been extremely helpful as we plan future events for our life and business too. If you want to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your partner and invaluable insight into the specific timing of important events you might be planning in your life, I highly recommend booking a consultation with Sarah!” Kate Gerry and Chris Kenney, New York

The Rabbit is supported in a very general way, since the Wood Dragon supports the wood element of the Rabbit, particularly the Wood and Fire Rabbits. But if Wood is not your supportive element in the full Chinese Astrology, then you might find the year very frustrating and quite possibly you will be prone to anger this year. There is a possibility of romance though, if you can control your temper.

The Dragon is the Leader of the year, so should find themselves feeling very energised. For those whose full Chinese horoscope benefits from the Dragon, they should also have a strong year. The Dragon could find themselves earning small amounts of extra money this year.

Snake 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013, 2025, 2037, 2049

You could find yourself studying something new this year, as scholarly pursuits are favoured. Do try to stay focussed though otherwise you might spread yourself too thinly and be wary of people trying to pinch your energy a bit this year. You have some Heaven blessings to help you this year, which is always very lucky. Don’t worry if you feel a bit lonely, though; just reach out to friends and family.

Horse 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954,1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014, 2026, 2038, 2050

The horse needs to be careful about getting involved in accidents this year, so just make sure you don’t rush around driving too fast or go to known dangerous places without suitable company protecting you. Watch out for an increased likelihood of misunderstandings when it comes to your intimate life. If single, this isn’t the best year for dating. If in a partnership, make sure you regularly spend quality time with your loved one and keep clear lines of communication open. You should be able to develop your leadership skills this year though.

“I had the Chinese Horoscope done for myself and my fiancee and it was truly remarkable. It was insightful, specific and very accurate. It pinpointed our personalities and indicated the best time for making big life decisions.
You have strong spiritual protection this year, so this should help offset the increased likelihood of robbery this year. As a precaution make sure you keep an eye on your belongings (handbag, wallet etc) when out and about, and make sure the locks in your home are all in good working order and keep the home well lit to reduce negative energy.

The monkey has some official power this year giving them a boost in good energy. There is also a likelihood that travel will be lucky for you this year.

“It was astonishing what Sarah could assess about my private and career life! It helped me gain unexpected insights and provided some wise and practical advice for the next 5-10 years. Excellent value for money.” S H, Ethical Fund Manager, Frankfurt

The Rooster has the 5 Yellow star this year which can be a bit tricky to handle, as it means the year can be quite powerful. You will need support about how to handle it well. It doesn’t always mean sickness. There is a real opportunity to create lasting wealth this year but you will need very experienced advisors and some astrological and Feng Shui support to make the most of it.

“I was amazed at how accurate Sarah’s Chinese Horoscope was for me, from key events in my past to my specific health problems and what practical measures I can take to support myself.” Sara Hannan, UK

The Dog could lose energy this year as they are against the leader of the year the Dragon. The influence of being against the leader will vary greatly from person to person, but on the whole it can be very intense and can make or break you. Some people rise to the challenge, whereas some people are a little crushed by it all. Wearing a string of red embroidery silk around your waist all year will be helpful. Replace if it wears thin and breaks. You might also find 2024 feels a bit lonely so do reach out to friends and family if this is the case, or use the energy productively by going on a Silent Retreat, for example and truly be with yourself.

“When I asked Sarah to do my Ba Zi chart, I was unsure what to expect. When reading through my report, I was amazed to discover how accurate the information was in terms of reflecting certain personality traits and trends in how my life has unfolded so far.
The pig could face a bit of a tough year in terms of losing energy and having others trying to pinch their energy a bit. Travel should be lucky for you this year though.

“Meeting Sarah has been both interesting and informative; I have had a Chinese horoscope and a monthly one which I would recommend to everybody. I have started to use the information contained to put some water energy into my home, which since doing this, has helped the work flow in… I am also looking longer term to relocate to an area which suits my energy better, and the horoscope gave me really useful guidelines on climate and directions that helped me narrow my search with confidence. I shall certainly be working with Sarah on my new home in Spain. Many thanks for your help so far, and I look forward to working with you again in the near future.” Paul Follows, UK

Your 2023 Chinese Animal mini-reading & Feng Shui tips

Master Sarah McAllister’s 2023 Chinese Animal & Feng Shui Astrology mini-forecast for 2023

The Water Rabbit year is going to be a bit gentler than 2022; such is the nature of the generally timid Rabbit, but don’t expect it to slow down too much as the Hare is also an aspect of the Rabbit zodiac and we all know how fast hares can run!

The natural element of the Rabbit is Yin Wood which is the energy of strategy and thoughtfulness. It can sometimes be over-cautious or fear the worst, but in some situations, this is advantageous as it can help steer you clear of trouble. Just try not to be pessimistic or overly timid. Yin wood is the delicate ferns and grasses, as opposed to the sturdy oak trees or large bamboo of yang wood.

The Yin Water of the year is a spiritual type of Water associated with snowflakes, ice and smaller streams, smaller ponds and water that changes form. Don’t be surprised if you feel the urge to change your mind about your direction in life or encounter flaky people this year.

This water and wood combination in the year is harmonious and adds further power to the year’s vitality, since Water feeds Wood. Unlike a Fire or a Metal Rabbit year where the chi is clashing and draining, the Water gives the Rabbit supportive energy.

General themes for the year will be power and health. This could mean formal investigations into governments and health-related corporations. It also offers people a good opportunity to really focus on their health more, so if you have been struggling lately, now is the time to put the career in second gear and prioritise your physical and mental health.

Does all this talk of animals and their chi sound strange? It is helpful to remember that the Chinese sages of old naturally attuned to universal law. Since this is not a linear type of thinking, they adopted metaphorical language to express the motion and behaviour of energy laws. The Chinese Animals are perfect metaphors to describe these different energetic phases – that’s all. And all of these cycles are going on all the time in Big Fate (100s of years), Monthly, Daily, and even Hourly and Minute cycles! The above is only a summary. It is such a fascinating study and so rewarding to see how the knowledge helps clients of mine to time their activities better and realise their true nature quicker than if they hadn’t got access to this knowledge.

Feng Shui of 2023

This year there is a Black 2 sickness star in the East of the Flying Star. The 5 Yellow troublemaker star is in the Northwest.

If you have a bedroom, office or main door in either the East or the North-West, try not to worry. Still, you would be wise to take some action as even though these directions are energetically a little quiet, the sickness will nonetheless be activated by too much noise or comings and goings.

If you would like to know more about how classical feng shui can help you make 2023 incredible, then Contact Me .

The Chinese Horoscope of the year is Weak Earth, which means that Earth industries like real estate, property development, farming, ceramics, pottery, mining could be a bit challenged. Expect property prices to crash. This will be good for those who are able to or have had to wait to be in a position to purchase, but sadly many people could lose their homes unless they find ways to earn more or change to a lower-rate mortgage or downsize. Centralised power systems will also come under scrutinies, such as collectivism and communism. Yin Earth attracts adoration and intense criticism, so I expect governments and traditional power structures to be questioned and perhaps even overhauled this year, or at least the start of a transformation. Yin Earth is the transformer of the elements. It can take the crud (manure) and turn it into valuable energy. People with yin Earth as their self-element are very sensitive and desire harmony but often find themselves being ostracised because they are powerful mirrors for others due to their receptive and reflective nature. Happily, they are immensely strong, because yin Earth has the power to shift and transform, to be sand, to be mud, to be soil or shale and then compress into rare minerals and gems over time. This will also be a year where ‘what things represent’ will be peeled away to see what they really are. Some people might struggle with this at times, but if you have done the work and understand your own shadow and shortcomings, you will be able to flow with life much easier.

The Leader of the Year is the Rabbit

Those born in the Year of the Rabbit are the Leader of the Year – birthdays in Rabbit 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023, 2036, and 2047 are Rabbit people. Unlike 2017 (Year of the Rooster), that was their T’ai Soi, when they were against the leader, the Rabbit should make smoother progress towards their goals this year. I would encourage those born in the Year of the Rooster to get in touch for a personalised reading, as these mini-forecasts obviously don’t drill down into much detail, particularly as our main influences are associated with our time of birth. So, good news for all those born in the year of the Rabbit.

Year of Birth 2023 Forecast

I am wishing you a joyful and prosperous 2023 Year of the Water Rabbit!

Gong Xi Fai Cai! (Mandarin)

or

Gong Hey Fat Choy (Cantonese)

Sarah xxx

“Sarah’s guidance is precise, compassionate and insightful, allowing me to make more intelligent decisions in my business and relationships. It’s like having your own magic eight-ball. She is very knowledgeable and methodical but also highly intuitive. I have no hesitation in recommending her.“

Cassandra De La Thea, Relationship Expert

The Rat is surrounded by good fortune this year and will have to learn how to receive and to stay receptive rather than always wanting to push on. You will still be feeling pretty driven, but would do well to listen better – you will hear your own soul desires and also what is not being said by others. You have strong protection too this year – just make sure any financial dealings are created with strong contracts in place.

Ox 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021, 2033, 2045

The Ox this year is blessed financially but could feel a little lonely again this year. If you start to feel isolated then make sure you reach out to friends and family and stay connected to people. Make the most of your friends born in the Year of the Rat and the Rooster, as these are great allies for you. All this focus on solitary and introspective energy is helping you refine your leadership skills, so don’t get disheartened. Make the most of this rare time that supports you in really getting to know and value yourself.

Tiger 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022, 2034, 2046

The Tiger will have a pretty neutral year since there are good and not-so-good portents affecting you this year that cancel one another out. Water and Wood Tigers are well placed though to surf off some of the year’s energy as the Water Rabbit is Water and Wood element. Be careful that other’s don’t try to pinch your energy this year though by taking credit for your work or literally some type of theft. It would be wise to review your personal security and habits you have to make sure your belongings are safe when you travel.

Rabbit 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023, 2036, 2047

The Rabbit is the Leader of the Year, so they should enjoy success in their endeavours since the main force of the annual energy is aligned to them. Obviously, it does depend on the specific type of Rabbit year you are born in (Water, Wood, Fire, Earth or Metal Tiger) and the rest of your Chinese Horoscope based on the different animals of the Time, Day, Month and Year of birth too, but on the whole some positive force favours the Rabbit. The Rabbit will nevertheless need to be mindful of their health this year so don’t overdo it in your enthusiasm to race ahead with plans. Water and Wood Rabbits are especially well placed so make the most of your time by staying focussed and effective! Hang out with friends born in year of the Dog, Pig and Sheep this year but obviously not excluding anyone not in that category!

Dragon 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024, 2036, 2048

The Dragon has good earning potential again this year and might benefit from more small windfalls out of the blue. The Dragon will also need to take extra care in matters of intimacy, to make sure that they don’t get involved with extramarital affairs or with people with questionable sexual hygiene. Stay protected.

Snake 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013, 2025, 2037, 2049

There is good earning potential for Snakes this year and they too might also receive small windfalls or wins out of the blue. There could be feelings of loneliness again though so if you are single, try to reach out to connect with friends and to go out dating more so you don’t withdraw into yourself. It would also be a good opportunity to take time for yourself with a silent retreat or a sabbatical; just make sure to keep the balance between introspection and socialising. Don’t let anger and frustration get the better of you this year otherwise you could spoil any advances or good energy. On the whole though you are smiled upon but always be appreciative of your blessings and exercise patience with those who frustrate you.

Horse 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954,1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014, 2026, 2038, 2050

The Horse should enjoy another year with romance in the mix. Luck is with you on the whole. It would not be wise for you to invest in property this year though as it could prove to be a real headache for you. Hang out with friends born in the year of the Sheep, Dog and Tiger if you can as they will help you feel energised.

The Sheep will receive a boost in career this year but need to make sure they don’t let themselves become frustrated and angry. Find a way to channel any resentments or annoyances so that you don’t get triggered and lose your temper. Hang out with friends born in the year of the Horse and also the Leader of the Year, the Rabbit, as well as the lighthearted and fun-natured Pig.

The Monkey will sigh a relief as 2022 comes to a close and they are no longer against the energy. Use the early part of 2023 to get focussed on what you want to achieve or create this year, so you can stick to a plan. Otherwise you might find yourself wandering off path too much. Stay focussed, even if this means hiring an accountability coach. You will also need to take extra care in matters of intimacy, to make sure that they don’t get involved with extramarital affairs or with people with questionable sexual hygiene. Stay protected.

“It was astonishing what Sarah could assess about my private and career life! It helped me gain unexpected insights and provided some wise and practical advice for the next 5-10 years. Excellent value for money.” S H, Ethical Fund Manager, Frankfurt

Rooster 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017, 2029, 2041, 2053

The Rooster is against the leader (Rabbit) this year, so 2023 will either make or break you. If you have a strong chart there is an increased likelihood that it will stimulate you to make long overdue changes and you find the year helps you progress long held goals, but if you have a weak chart then it might overwhelm you and you end up with lots of setbacks. Get in touch for a personalised reading so we can help you reduce the negative influences and boost positive energy at your property and in your life. In general though the Rooster should avoid hazardous activities this year – instead of heading to the black runs this winter, opt for gentler cross country skiing or stick to the nursery slopes or easier less demanding runs. Don’t do extreme sports this year. Hanging out with your friends born in the year of the Snake, Ox or Dragon will help to boost your energy. Wearing a string of red embroidery silk around your waist all year will be helpful. Replace if it wears thin and breaks. You might find 2023 brings an urge to study towards a new qualification, so if that is the case it is the right time.

“I was amazed at how accurate Sarah’s Chinese Horoscope was for me, from key events in my past to my specific health problems and what practical measures I can take to support myself.” Sara Hannan, UK

Dog 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018, 2030, 2042, 2054

The Dog could lose energy this year and needs to take care of their health more, so remember not to burn the candle at both ends and to take plenty of rest and wholesome early nights. If you can avoid having your bedroom in the NW of your home then do so but it would be best to have a personalised consultation to help strengthen you this year. Teaming up with people born in the year of the Rabbit, Horse and Tiger is especially advantageous this year.

“When I asked Sarah to do my Ba Zi chart, I was unsure what to expect. When reading through my report, I was amazed to discover how accurate the information was in terms of reflecting certain personality traits and trends in how my life has unfolded so far. This has inspired me to take the Ba Zi course in order to have a deeper understanding of the power of Chinese Astrology and to be able to offer this knowledge to future clients.” Lauren Burger, Acupuncturist, USA

Pig 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019, 2031, 2043

The Pig will enjoy a good year as they align very well with the Rabbit, plus they will have opportunities to travel or even move home. They will, however, need to be mindful of dispersing their energy too much and will need to stay focussed and not be afraid to ask for advice in situations where they don’t know what is the next best step. Hang out with any friends born in the year of the Rabbit as they are strong in 2023 and might have some wise advice for you.

How to create a truly bespoke home or office that feels peaceful and energising.

As you can see from the Feng Shui Home Office we designed above, there is no need for Chinese trinkets to have superb feng shui. From the colour of the bespoke handmade silk & linen curtains to the precise angle of the desk, the colour on the walls and the shape of the lamps, all considerations were made with the feng shui and Chinese horoscope of our ethical fund manager client in mind. Much more than is depicted in press articles about decluttering & pot plants, a proper Feng Shui consultation is based on the skilled application of complex ancient wisdom and is more akin to a flow process, not a utilitarian ‘product’. My relationship with my clients is very profound, and I create space, both energetically and literally, for their transformation, expansion and best health and happiness.

The Feng Shui Garden, Grounds or External Space

Most houses have a garden or outside space, and even flats might have small gardens or terraces. Starting from the outside in, I energetically connect with the space so that I can read the chi flow.

Once I have identified the ‘source of chi’, I set to work creating a strategy to bring the good energy to the door and to deflect any undesirable influences that cause difficulties in life. This might mean trimming back shrubs, putting up fences, planting trees, installing water features… whatever is needed. I have a Done For You team to implement my advice and only work with people who do as I ask, since the entire strategy is holistic. All major points need to be implemented. There are special feng shui techniques for the outside spaces that differ from the methods used for inside. There are even special feng shui calculations for larger spaces like hospitals, malls, government spaces and even entire cities.

Within the garden, I can activate key areas that support a client’s unique Chinese Horoscope energetics, so that what we place outside is just as powerful, if not more so, than what happens inside. This is made possible by measuring out the locations in the garden of the 24 mountains on the Chinese Lopan compass (see above image for how intricate it is!) And activating those directions that are particularly helpful to the occupants, especially the owner or main breadwinner.

Feng Shui Interior Design

Using feng shui calculations that are only for the interiors of a building, I assess which activities, colours, shapes and 5 elements (Water, Wood, Fire, Earth or Metal) are most appropriate in each room. I look at where people are best sleeping for maximum rest. Or where they need to position the home office or study, or the nursery etc. Many details are included, like precision placement of lighting, and particular types of plants, and internal artwork or aquariums. On larger projects for VIPs I customise the entire space to auspicious dimensions. This is closely linked to the feng shui architectural work I do for a new build project, where I measure out the precise angle of the entire building that literally creates a unique quantum field of exquisitely supportive resonance for the occupants. It can be great fun working with structural engineers and builders to measure out with string the precise line for the foundations. It takes a lot of patience and centredness, but the result is so worthwhile. There are approximately 64 options in terms of direction – it isn’t just N, S, E or W or even the sub cardinals of NE, SE, SW or NW, but much more precise. And one of these 64 directions can even create an energetic connection with your date of birth! Without fail, a building that I have positioned to be on a particular angle, once built and occupied, FEELS AMAZING. These are powerful spaces that are so high vibrational that the effects are undeniable, even to those with no awareness of feng shui.

Chinese Astrology and Space

Since Feng Shui wisdom is based on profound metaphysics and the powerful wisdom of nature, there is a direct link between the cosmos and the earthly plane. This means that our space is indeed linked to our astrology. Among other factors, the Chinese Horoscope of a client and their partner or children also informs my recommendations around room usage and colours. I prioritise the colours required by the feng shui, but if I can also find colours that support the client’s astrology then that is an added bonus.

Dowsing for Geopathic Stress (Earth Sickness)

All my feng shui career, I have dowsed for the presence of negative geopathic stress lines in a property and made recommendations for how to avoid the lines or heal them, or even to have clients buy technology to very effectively counter the troublesome effects.

Wellness in the Built environment

For over two decades I have advocated for the core principles of wellness architecture. From non-toxic materials, to air and water quality, sleep technology, EMF neutralisation and the power of biophillic design, no stone is left unturned with my high end interior design and architecture service.

Applying all the above aspects (and more!) is how I create unique homes and business premises that have lasting positive impact in your life.

Autumn Equinox and the Balance of Yin & Yang for Health and Wellbeing

Early this morning we had the Autumn Equinox in the UK. I love those days recently where you can see the morning sun and the moon at the same time! In the Chinese Calendar we have moved from White Dew into the solar fortnight called Autumn Equinox . In the Chinese calendar Autumn actually began on 7th August 2022 .

Autumn is a great time to have a Feng Shui and Chinese Horoscope reading for the coming year, so you can prepare for any changes you need to make in the home and any Jade charm that might suit you can be ordered from our trusted supplier.

Why are there changes in the house each year?

Each year the ‘Flying Stars’ move through the 8 directions and the centre (totally 9 parts of a building and 9 star numbers) – 2022 has been pretty intense as it was a 5 year with 5 sickness at centre (or power if you can maintain equilibrium) and the 2 sickness star in the Southwest. If Earth is a supportive element for you then this year hasn’t been that wonderful OR it has forced you to crack open and look deep inside at old feelings/worries/unsupportive mental chatter etc. to clear it out once and for all.

Around Christmas time I publish the Flying Stars and Annual Forecast for the following year, so look out for how the energies change in 2023.

Not only do the Feng Shui flying stars in the house or office change each year, meaning that the areas of the building most conducive to career progression, wealth, romance, sickness etc. change, but also individuals Chinese Horoscope elements and Kua numbers interact with the type of year. 2023 is a Water Rabbit year, which might be supportive or unsupportive.

Autumn is metal element – out of balance this can be excessive control, contraction, loneliness, dictatorship and authoritarianism. Or at the other end of the spectrum people have no control, no boundaries, are dispersed and lack any structure.

In healthy balance Metal element allows for the natural breath in and breath out, both physically and metaphysically. As we breathe in we are bringing new energy and new structure into our being and as we breathe out we are exhaling wastes and letting go of old energy. Autumn is a very good time to do a cleanse and also have acupuncture to prepare the body for being strong over the winter period.

Autumn Feng Shui for the house:

It is nice to swap ‘summer’ accessories for winter ones – like swapping out lighter weight summer curtains in the living room for say thicker cotton velvet ones that retain the heat in the home better and just have a warmer feeling to them to chime with the change to light cardigans and sweaters that start to work their way into our wardrobe at this time of year.

Autumn Clean!

It isn’t just Spring that is a good time to have a thorough clean – Autumn energy is all about clearing out the old, so we can make way for the new to incubate over winter and birth in Spring and mature in Summer.

Winter or Summer bedroom?

Depending on the size of the home, you might find you have a summer bedroom and a winter bedroom, a bit like having a summer and winter palace!

Autumn Colours

Just because we are in Autumn doesn’t mean you need to decorate in those colours as the colour palette in the home is determined primarily by the Feng Shui directions and Flying Star calculations and sometimes also the unique Chinese Astrology of the person/s living there, if they also compliment the flying star Feng Shui readings.

Autumn Foods

As the temperature cools and there is more damp in the air we can build up mucus in our body, so using pungent foods like onion, garlic, ginger and horseradish will help resolve the damp and expel the mucus. The Chinese horoscopes I prepare for people give interesting insights into the different elements of particular foods and how they might support your unique energy.

Pungent scents

Autumn is metal element which is associated with pungent smells so you might bring in a few pungent oils into the fragrance oils you burn or the incense you use. Ginger, cardamom, clove, cinnamon and atlas Cedarwood are all warming and are commonly used at halloween and in pumpkin spice blends for example. It is lovely to mark the seasons with different scents as you can not only align to the unique energy of nature, but also our olfactory senses are very powerfully connected to memory. Making wonderful memories is easier when there are distinctive scents.

Mostly, Autumn is a time to have the following year’s (2023) Feng Shui chart done so you can prepare for any changes/cures that are specific to your home or office for the coming year.

For those who need Metal element in their Chinese Horoscope you will find you get a burst of energy in August and September (both are metal element months) and for those who need to reduce/avoid the amount of metal in their charts they might feel frustrated at this time.

When you know your unique Chinese Astrology elements (water, wood, fire, earth or metal), I can help you take actions to reduce unwanted elements while boosting the helpful elements.

At the end of the day, all this knowledge of Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology is meant to help you find greater flow and to reduce or evade the negative energies and build upon the positive chi so you can gain forward momentum.

There is a LOT more to it than this brief article, obviously, and I have been known to totally reverse negative spirals in the lives of those that seek my aid. So if you would like to know more about how this precious body of knowledge and my unique approach can help you, do Contact Us to apply for a complimentary Discovery Call.

Kindest,

Why Elizabeth II had such a long reign and the energy of her last breath…

In 2012 I researched the Feng Shui of Buckingham Palace and also the Chinese Horoscope of Queen Elizabeth II. I came to some very interesting conclusions about why her reign was so long that I’d like to share with you here.

The broad sweep is as follows:

Using the Power

The long narrow approach to Buckingham Palace brings powerful chi to the front gates in a direct funnel, usually associated with sha chi or

poison chi. The gates, roundabout and statue help to deflect the chi so that it doesn’t hit the palace entrance full force. A powerful family need a powerful residence and in fact are brought up to accept that they will inevitably attract criticism from some quarter, so having a house where the sha chi is managed is very suitable for such a dynamic. The form of the palace is also very strong in and of its own right, being such a large building. The expanse of nature (trees, lawns, lakes) around it help to create a large ‘lung’ of natural vitality energy circulating around and throughout the palace and also helping the air quality of neighbouring areas too.

Strong Female Energy

The NE-SW orientation since 1996 has been very stuck in terms of the Flying Star energies, but particularly when it comes to

female energy – the stuck earth 2-2, 5-8, 5-2 etc. throughout the central axis means a stubborn energy related to females. Even though the palace is a square with open centre, it will still hold this energy in the NE- SW orientation parts of the building.

The presence of Water in the SW is not ideal and is not supportive of the female but there is a larger mass of water in the NE and E to compensate and the river widens the further East it flows and the tidal nature of the river brings the chi back and forth.

In terms of the 24 Imperial Heaven Stars, Buckingham Palace occupies the Kings Carriage position within London which is associated with movement, travel and activity, which is certainly a large aspect of Queen Elizabeth’s life as she still makes journeys throughout the world to act as our ambassador.

Chinese Horoscope of Queen Elizabeth II

The monarch has a strong metal chart with two dragons in the month and day and one tiger (year) – these are both animals associated with leadership and protection. Her strength is very hidden and reserved and she has the presence of the Peace Hexagram in her Day Pillar – I have always instinctively felt she has a huge reserve of internal peace and strength, and having now looked at her chart I can fully understand why this is the case.

My full article discusses the dynamics of the Five elements in her chart, showing that power ( fire ) is very beneficial to her and why her duty to her family is so intensely loyal (Family Pillar Lap Yang element & Hexagram) and why she is suited to the heavy burden of power upon her shoulders (Lonely Stars).

Now, why has her reign lasted so long?

Well, not only does she live in the most powerful buildings in the country (including Windsor, Sandringham and Balmoral) and has the perfect Chinese horoscope chart to handle power, but the date of her accession is very interesting too. Here we look at some simple Auspicious Date Selection concepts, upon which my full article elaborates.

6th February 1952 Accession

Princess Elizabeth was crowned Queen Elizabeth II in a Water Dragon Year which has the Lap Yang element of Long Flowing Water, which means continuous and everlasting and the recent 70 year Jubilee attests to this staying power. Elizabeth also has in her month pillar (representing family) the Water Dragon, indicating an enduring relationship with family a!airs, quite literally the Royal Family.

The day of the accession has three Heaven Water Stems, again rather beautifully reinforcing this principle of Long Flowing Water…continuous and everlasting….Long Flow the Queen!

Day of Death – afternoon of 8th September 2022

The year of 2022 is the Water Tiger, which is the Water Tiger. In the QUeen’s chart Tiger means Chua (The End) and we have just passed through the month of the Monkey, which activates the Tiger (thus activating The End) and today we moved into Rooster which created yet more Metal element in her chart which is unsupportive, and she passed peacefully in the afternoon between 1 and 6pm, which are the hours of Sheep (Earth – also unsupportive) and the hours of the Monkey and the Rooster, again Metal element that is unsupportive. It was very unlikely she would survive the metal season of late summer and Autumn.

May she rest in peace.

Feng Shui, Date Selection and Chinese Horoscopes are three different Chinese wisdom systems that when linked together by a skilled and experienced specialist can be used to not only diagnose situations but also provide remedial and preventative advice for the future.

How to choose the best Feng Shui paint colours for your house

All colours have a vibration and a healing property. Sometimes there are overlaps between Western colour theory and the inspired Feng Shui wisdom of the East. What I will share here is the types of colour according to the Five Elements and some basic pointers for you to follow.

Don’t follow the Bagua when it comes to colours. The vast majority of so-called Feng Shui experts on social media INCORRECTLY advise this and it drives me crazy! The energies of each direction are already present, so you probably don’t need to add more Red to the South for example and could be making the energy there way too strong leading to all sorts of problems.

Water Element

Blues, black, teal, turquoise and ‘warm aqua’ as I call it (not too cold or minty) are all good water colours.

Wood Element

Apple, lime, jade, bottle green, grass green, ‘racing’ green are generally good for mimicking the rising energy of the wood (or Tree) element.

Fire Element

Pink, mauve, rose, red, bright orange, purple, maroon, Moroccan blue are all good fire colours.

Earth Element

Beige, sand, greige, grey, slate, stone colour, yellow, brown, terracotta, dull orange are all good solid earth colours.

Metal Element

White, metallic gold, metallic silver are all good to bring in the metal element. Avoid metallic colours though like metallic red or metallic green, as it isn’t the same at all.

General pointers for a Bedroom

Avoid really bright colours – it might sound obvious to some people but you really must avoid having really bright colours in a bedroom – most adults aren’t attracted to bold reds or bright pinks in a bedroom, but you never know! Some people I have come across love the colour cardinal purple for example and I have to ask them to make it more of a mauve or a lavender so that the vibration of it is gentler and therefore more conducive for deep sleep.

Avoid too much white in a Bedroom – having too much white and especially a white carpet or white floorboards is not recommended in a bedroom as the room will never be fully dark at night. I lived in a space like this once – it was super luxurious and I had a gorgeous ensuite and an amazing walk-in wardrobe but I couldn’t sleep a wink and ended up sleeping in the smaller guest room which had a dark grey carpet and a good window blind to keep out the light. Some white is OK as it can be quite serene, but too much creates too much yang (active) energy, which prevents good quality sleep.

Best Feng Shui colours for a bedroom – generally these would be a soft earth colour like sand or primrose yellow, or a soft rose or mauve or a very soft green or soft warm blue. But it really does depend what the flying star energies say and there are several methods, so it is best to hire a Feng Shui expert like me to help you.

Feng Shui Interior Design

Not only do I provide the Feng Shui guidance to activate auspicious energy points throughout the house but I also provide the full interior design service if you need to work with a designer who understands Feng Shui. In my experience, most interior designers don’t do a good job of Feng Shui, even when the client wants them to, because they are rather selfishly thinking about their ‘brand palette’! For most high end interior designers, the ultimate Instagram shot is more important to them than actually following the Feng Shui advice to benefit the client! This is why I prefer where possible to work with my own trusted team to provide the Feng Shui Interior Design service where we help you from the very outset and all throughout the entire project, including sourcing and managing trades professionals like carpenters, decorators, builders etc. Or, I can collaborate with your own interior designer, but you must be firm with them about following through on my advice! Or, for a reduced rate, I can give you pointers for you to then implement on your own with my support. Be careful though, as it can be like clothes shopping, what you think you want in the design might not be what suits the space and there is always more to it than meets the eye. You will probably save time, energy, stress and money by hiring us to do the full project, from concept to completion – the full design and build.

Best Feng Shui colours for a Kitchen – these tend to be fresh greens and in some cases purple or capuccino, yellow or soft grey, but it depends on where the kitchen is situated in the house and the type of materials used in the units.

Avoid too much white and metallic colours or finishes in the kitchen and also an excess of black, blue, and bright red.

Best Feng Shui colours for the Living Room & Library – here you can have a bit more fun and opt for bolder colours if you want and some of the gorgeous deep ‘period’ colours for older properties. You can have more activating colours like red, purple, strong pink if you want. But again it does depend on where the living room is located. Not only is the Feng Shui direction important but also the level of sunlight. In a northerly country with a fairly cool climate, never add more cold blue to a North facing room as it will be too damp. If you live near the equator on the other hand like some of my clients do, then the considerations will be different.

Shapes and Materials

While of course Feng Shui is based on natural energy, the colours, shapes and materials used are important because they resonate with the dynamics of the natural energies. In my Feng Shui Design consultation report that I provide, I go into detail about what shapes and materials to use in each room to optimise the energies.

Natural elements

If you are lucky enough to have the choice to place natural elements like natural fires, gas fires, living walls, aquariums and water features then that is the best way to bring in these elements, but again they do need careful positioning especially real fire and real water.

Furniture & Lighting Sourcing

Nowadays there is so much retail choice that I can help you source suitable items that you can buy directly or for more premium items we can purchase via one of our trade accounts and share the discount with you.

You can find out more about what is involved in designing your dream Feng Shui home in my book “5D Wellbeing – designing your life and your home to support your inner luminosity”.

I’d love to help you with your next project or to help you optimise your existing home – do get in touch. Of course, I am very fortunate that many of my clients have enormous homes and huge budgets, but I am passionate about helping people whatever the budget! Even if its a small home or a small project – even if I might not be able to help myself, I can certainly refer you to one of my very competent associates. Some of my colleagues are former students of mine who are now wonderful Feng Shui practitioners in their own right. It can be really hard to know who to trust to help you, so please get in touch and I will either help myself or point you in the right direction!

How to access Vibrational and Spiritual Realities with Feng Shui wisdom

Inspired by the incredible light of these past few sunny days and the Summer Solstice, I wanted to explore the role of light, vibration and energy in Feng Shui, enlightenment and beyond!

I used to be a Shiatsu therapist and gave treatments to people in Islington, Stoke Newington and Greenwich and absolutely loved it for a few years until I realised my savings were coming to an end and it was a passion project, rather than a realistic career. That was early on in 2005 when Shiatsu was virtually unheard of… now things are likely very different. Anyhow, why do I share this? Because I used to ‘see’ in my own luminosity (inner light body awareness) the symptoms and stress points of the person I was treating and hone in on them to rebalance or loosen them up or tonify depletion if necessary.

What is inner luminosity? Well, another example would be circa 1996 driving back from a temp job in Moreton in Marsh, I was on the ‘common’ and the luminous coloured shape of a small creature came into my third eye beyond the blind corner (not far from Rodborough Fort) and I slowed down wondering if anyone/anything was there – sure enough there was a little calf (in exact proportion to what I had seen in my mind’s eye within the general matrix field beyond the car) and had I not slowed down, I would have run over him. Instead, I was so grateful to have missed him or her(!) and as I carefully passed it, I silently asked it to move out of the dangerous road, and went on my way.

We aren’t taught any of this type of awareness in school (quite the opposite, mostly) but some of us remained curious and kept seeking for knowledge and experiences and how to return to our natural spiritual self with a sense of connection within a living universe and divine energies of love and compassion.

How does Feng Shui fit in? Well, when we consider that everything around us is fast moving energy and void space, then by definition the vibrational quality of our space will be impacting our own light body and etheric field. It can help to visualise the space around you as energetic ‘code’ if you like and indeed some people like myself actually ‘see’ like this with their inner eye. It is known as a type of ‘x-ray’ vision. Not always but on a good day definitely!

The ‘Yuen Hom’ Mystery of the Void Feng Shui style refers to the the zero point source energy – or what we now scientifically call plasma field or tachyon particles – the mystery beyond that which quantum physics can measure. What do you want? I can help you set about creating it by tapping into this source potential. Feng Shui is not just about space, though that is the ‘popular’ interpretation that rather vexes me(!), but about harnessing the latent potential of life-force. The saying ‘we create our own luck’ is actually very true, but it takes great discipline and a high level of personal honesty to full take on this level of response-ability. If you want to blame Feng Shui or horoscopes for your luck, then you are totally missing the point. Opportunity is literally EVERYWHERE. But what opportunities you attract will also depend on your definition of opportunity.

I used to call myself “The Dreams Architect” as I instinctively understood the relationship between the built environment, energy and source and loved helping people design their dream home and achieving their dream lifestyle. To go sit in a finished Feng Shui design project and feel the wonderful feng shui chi oozing and radiating in the property is such an incredible pleasure I literally don’t want to leave – lol!

So, it isn’t just daylight that we want plenty of in a property, it is also undistorted pure cosmic ‘light’ and a good balance of yin and yang, darkness and light. Having all glass is not encouraged as it is too much light. There need to be some cosy more shaded areas too for a good balance and dynamic flow. Life is movement. Life is flowing. Life can also be messy and the antithesis of Zen!

Anyone can transcend the hubbub of life and possibly become so detached that t hey are caught in a sort of lifeless trance or worse some sort of Groundhog Day of repetition programming , but we now have an opportunity to ascend, fully conscious in our bodies, fully intimate and integrated with our emotions (the best and the worst of them!) and having a wonderful Feng Shui aligned house helps support our truest nature and vitality and therefore our truest potential and purpose. Everything is interconnected. So, yes, the direction you lay the house foundations or lay your head in at night or sit facing your desk does have a particular resonance which will impact you over time, for better or worse. It is my wish for you that you let me help you turn your built environment into a powerful wellness and spiritual development tool. Get in touch if you would like to discuss a new build or renovation project or you simply need help with your existing house.

Happy Summer Solstice 2022!

Kindest, Sarah x
