Chanel transfer tattoos rock!

This year Chanel is pushing a trend that is pretty damn cool if we must say so ourselves – tattoos. Chanel has created some wicked-cool transfer tattoos that they've created for those special occasions.

According to WedSmack, "It wasn’t just them — Rodarte and Jean Paul Gautier also sent their models down the aisle in ephemeral ink for SS2010 — but Chanel’s versions caused the most heart-thumping cases of gotta-have-it." The transfers will launch in Chanel boutiques, concessions and Selfridges stores from March 1st, and prices for a set of 55 individual tattoos – Les Trompe L’œil de Chanel – fall around the £49/$67 mark, Elle UK reveal. According to the Independent in UK, "The 'rocker image' of tattoos will make for an appealing contrast to this spring's otherwise quite romantic theme featuring lots of florals, ruffles, and transparent materials."

Although it loses cool points for not being real ink, we still think the eleganly designed beads and floral print is pretty hot … for now. Nonetheless, we still can't help but feel that this will soon become the next big wannabe-tattoo obsession, easily spotted in every mall and wal-mart across the nation -> what do you think?

Tattoo Undercover Application Instructions (with Tips from the Expert!)

1. Clean tattoo area and apply moisturizer.

Tip: Using a water based moisturizer will give best results and for a more natural look, remove hair in the tattoo area to keep Tattoo Undercover from collecting around hair follicles.

2. Apply Tattoo Undercover using Ferbs Foundation Brush.

Apply multiple thin layers (typically 3 – 5) of Tattoo Undercover over entire tattooed area. Apply quickly to alleviate unnatural lines. Start applying from the middle of your tattoo and extend Tattoo Undercoverslightly past tattooed area, blending edges completely. Allow Tattoo Undercover™ to dry completely between applications.

We emphasize thin layers because thinner layers dry faster. Plus Tattoo Undercover is formulated much thicker than your average concealer, so using just a little bit of Tattoo Undercover will go a long way for most users. Nonetheless, more ‘thin’ applications will still dry faster and take less time to apply than trying to apply fewer ‘thick’ applications.

Tip: To decrease drying time use a hair dryer on a low setting.

3. Apply Alibi Setting Powder once tattoo is no longer visible. Use Ferbs Powder Dome Brush to dust Alibi Setting Powder over concealed area.

Tip: Always use Alibi Setting Powder to ensure the application looks natural and prevents Tattoo Undercover from smudging off.

4. Remove product by pouring a small amount of baby oil on hands and massage over tattoo, remove with a damp cloth.

Ink Extraction – A Non Laser Tattoo Removal

So I'm not super familiar with this type of Tattoo Removal process, but I came across this video today and found it to be pretty interesting. The procedure is called Ink Extracting and uses a chemical called Rejuvi which pushes the ink up out of the epidermis rather than absorbing the ink in to the body like it does other removal procedures. E-Raze.com says it is applied the same way as a tattoo and can only be done by an experienced tattoo or micropigmentation artist (I'm wondering if the company offers certification for this type of procedure?). The website states it is not suitable for at home use or a DIY fade product. It also states this type of process can be completed in an average of three to four treatments and permanent makeup can be usually removed in a single treatment.

So we all know augmented reality is/about to be all the rage, well get ready to be amazed.

Oh No! Our Twitter Account Is Suspended

To our surprise we awoke this morning to a banned Twitter account (sniff). My first reaction was to panic, my second to cover it up (pun intended), my third was to stay calm and contact Twitter support and contest account suspension. Of course I stayed calm and politely followed procedure since panicking gets you nowhere and we only cover up tattoos, or at the very least bruises, blemishes, birthmarks and other skin imperfections.

We are optimistic that we will get our Twitter account reinstated and appreciate all of your support! Thank you. We will keep you posted on the outcome. Ugly Tattoos: Something no one expects to end up with before they get a portrait of their beautiful girlfriend on their neck, a realistic image of their breakfast from that morning, or even their favorite character from Star Wars…yet somehow they're out there and this blog will definitely give you something to think about before your next ink.
