Episode 001 Holding Audience Attention

In this, our first episode (note the subtle use of the royal plural to raise the author's own sense of self-importance), we learn how to sustain our audience's attention for a long chapter (not to mention a long book) in today's fast paced, mile-a-minute, triple shot venti java chip frappuccino world. Extra whipped cream please.
