Aren't these Fiddle Camp tunes great? The 8th annual Kanack School Fiddle Camp in Rochester NY will be July 11th-15th, 2011. Save the date on your calender, and maybe we'll see you there! It's a day camp in Rochester, NY, but every year we have a few out of towners come as well, if you're interested send me a line and we'll see what we can do to accommodate you!

I play this tune in two different styles. One way matches the music where I play all the notes with the string crossings in more or less the right places. Alternately, I play droning the A and D string together which changes the melody and gives it a Southern/Old Time feel.

Also called Snowflake Breakdown. I first heard a very silly version of this tune on a Delaware Water Gap LP (or maybe it was Cranberry Lake?) where they did it as a waltz first and then kicked in. The B part as a waltz sounded like circus music. It's very unusual to have the Bb chord there in a D tune, most people either love it or hate it. If I get a chance, I'll record it as a waltz as best as I can remember it.
