I went to see an exhibition today, on the swedish painter Carl Fredrik Hill (1849 - 1911),
he got schizophrenia pretty early in his life, but continued to paint despite the illness.

Hanson

I was a huge Hanson fan when i was a teenager.
Looking back, i think it was quite a healthy reference. (compared to 10 years old kids admiring Lady Gaga or Britney Spears today..)
I didn't relate so much to the big family/religious thing but they did (and still) seem sincere about making music for the art of it.
Today i don't concider their music as my perfect cup of tea, but watching a video or 2 once in a while always makes me smile :)
I find this remix quite cool. And the fact that 3 minutes of the 3:41 video is showing Taylor's face is a plus !

Winter

Here we are. It became much colder and much darker here in Stockholm, and the 3pm sunset is back.
These are photos i took last winter... and even if the winter landscape can be beautiful, i don't really look forward to snow and ice.
So i try to look at it in a artistic/scientific way..

Ca y est, d'un coup il fait beaucoup plus froid, et c'est beaucoup plus sombre ici à Stockholm. et le coucher de soleil de 15h est de retour.
J'ai pris ces photos l'hiver dernier... même si le paysage peut être magnifique en hiver, j'ai vraiment pas hâte de voir arriver la neige, et pire, la glace !! (avec tous les petits papys mamies en mode col du fémur !)
Pour garder le moral, quelques photos de givre vu de très près.

My friends Uffe & Leoparden are releasing their second video ! 100% homemade !
For those of you who don't speak swedish, "Här, nu" means "Here, now" .
The song is about our generation, who's always wanting it all, always looking ahead, never in the moment really,
and has a hard time apreciating simple things..
Our friend Simon (the one skating) shot the video in Malmö (Sweden) and in Catania (Sicily).

Mes amis Uffe & Leoparden sortent leur seconde vidéo ! 100% faite maison !
Pour ceux qui ne parlent pas suédois, "Här, nu" veut dire "Ici, maintenant".
Leur chanson évoque notre génération, qui veut tout, tout de suite, qui se projette toujours dans le futur,
et qui a finalement beaucoup de mal à n'être que dans le moment présent, et à apprécier les choses simples...
Notre ami Simon (celui qui skate) a tourné la vidéo à Malmö (Suède) et à Catania (Sicile).

The Curse

The past 2 weeks, i've been working at home, trying to start my real career.
And if it's a lot of work to organize your tasks, finding suppliers and distributors.. i find it even harder not to be affected by the perpetual roller coaster i'm on, when it comes to inspiration and self belief.
Here is what my weeks looked like:

Monday i know exactly what i'm gonna do ! i'm i'm so convinced !
Tuesday i'm what ?! this has no quality what so ever ! how disapointing !
Wednesday i feel lost. I don't what to think or do..
Thursday i get a new idea "this is so much better" i develop it.
Friday i continue researching like hell about that new idea, references, material, possible targets..
Monday that first idea was so cool !! how could i hate/ignore it !! i work on it !
Tuesday this ? it's ridiculous and boring..
Wednesday nervous breakdown !

and constantly, the "It has been done already" complex in my head.
The fear of being one among hundreds of similar thoughts.

But like everythime i become aware of a pattern i have, i tend to calm down about it, i know i'm down, but i also know i'll be up again in 2 days, just before i be down again... so lets not feel guilty or stressed. Let's just learn how to work with it.

i watched this documentary last weekend, and was very moved by the sensibility and loneliness of such crative human beeing.
He's the pure allegory of an artist.
It got me angry to see how narrow minded people can be, making his life a living hell by never validating what he did or who he was..
