As far as getting custody of your children - I have no idea what your case was about so I don't know why the children are being withheld from you. You are lucky if they are going to your ex rather than a foster-adoption family. At least you will know where they are. The best advice for getting your kids back is to do everything on the service plan and fix whatever's broken in your life. Sorry if this isn't the perfect advice in your case but generally speaking, that's what I'd advise. Once your life is straightened out and you've got a good income, you can always ask for more visits from your kids, and work toward reunification. Just recently my husband was under the influence of drugs (I have never done any) and he had to go to the hospitial. Because he did the drug and was in the hospitial cps got involved right away. She came in with a smile on her face, I cooporated. She sat down with my husband and I and we got to talking. She said if I dont get a restraining order againt Nathan (my beloved husband) that shed take my baby right then and there. We both broke down histerically. It was the worst moment I have ever expirenced in my life. We have a restraing order as of Nov. 2011 and I have full custody of Dustin (our son) My CPS case worker will not drop my case! She continues to come over and talk like we are friends, pathetic she RUINED MY LIFE! I want to drop the restraining order and have him backhome, now my cps worker is threatning that if I do that she will take my baby. :( I dont know what to do I am so lost without my Nathan, I am going to councling and have went through with the restraining order and she is still involoved. "I LOST IT"! i told them that was not true and i wanted them to drug test me, knowing i was clean and so was my son and that would be my only defense, yet i went to court and the documants stated i refused to leave a urine sample and my sons results were never brought up, THE JUDGE SAID I STOOD BEFORE HIM BECAUSE OF MY PRIOR CPS CASE!!!! THAT IS BS. BUT i have continued to jump through these hoops of fire and almost a year later i still do not have my son!!! so when a recovering addict makes changes and still gets no credit i think the RIVERSIDE COUNTY CPS SYSTEM IS THE ONE AT FAULT HERE, gotta love california though, ya rite!!!!
