Costa Mesa, CA. – When top female boxers Rhonda Luna and Crystal Morales put on a six round war in their June 6^th Fight Club OC bout, which Luna won in a close unanimous decision, a certain rematch was in order. So promoter Roy Englebrecht went right to work and announced today that Luna vs Morales II will happen on the August 15^th Fight Club OC show in The Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center, but this time it will be 10 rounds, and for the vacant IFBA World Lightweight Championship.

“After the tremendous bout on June 6^th, where many in the crowd thought it could have been a draw or split decision, I felt that both ladies deserved a rematch and for a reward worthy of their ability,” said Englebrecht. “Now with the support of IFBA Founder and President Judy Kulis, Rhonda and Crystal will fight for a world title and a dream for one of the ladies will finally come true.”

Luna will bring an outstanding 17-3 record into the title fight, while Morales might be the best 7-9 boxer in the country, as she is in nothing but wars against solid competition.

New Roy Englebrecht Promotions signee Dwain Victorian (1-0) started his pro career in a good way by defeating the game Cory Muldrew of Phoenix, AZ by Unanimlous Decision.  The three scores all read 40-35 in a shutout performance by the jr. welterweight from Anaheim, who was able to get on track in the latter half of the fight which featured a flash knockdown that would secure victory.  Victorian was able to utilize his handspeed and slick defensive skills to notch his first of what hopefully will be many wins under the REP banner.

Costa Mesa, CA.; If you were a fight fan last night at Roy Englebrecht Promotions’ Fight Club OC show, it will probably be a night you will remember for quite awhile. Not because you were lucky to get in, what with the last ticket sold one hour before the doors opened….not because you witnessed nine pro bouts….and not because the show lasted almost four hours….but it was because of the action in the ring which saw fans shower the fighters with money, not once, not twice, but three times, to show their appreciation for tremendous performances by the athletes.

“We certainly are on a roll with our Fight Club OC concept” stated promoter Roy Englebrecht. “Two straight shows were we had to turn fans away, and most important just great action from our young fighters. Now normally I would never have a nine bout and four hour show, but we has some great matchups offered to us and we just wanted to over deliver for our loyal fans.”

It was non stopped action from the first bell, as the 1,452 fans that packed The Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center saw undefeated Brazilian cruiserweight go to 9-0 with a UD win over a game Grover Young. Over $200 was throw into the ring after a fight of the year candidate saw Visilia’s Jonathan Constrastano take a narrow SD win over Irvine’s Steven Ciaccio, with Constrastano going to 3-0 and Ciaccio dropping to 1-1.

Huntington Beach’s Malanga D’Hue stayed perfect at 2-0 with a UD win over Keith Busch now at 1-1; and LA’s undefeated heavyweight prospect Charles Martin ran his record to 6-0, but his KO streak was stopped, as he won a UD over a very tough Joshua Clark who dropped to 2-2, but not before taking everything Martin could throw at him.

In the two female bouts on the card, veteran Rhonda Luna was in a six round war with Oxnard’s Crystal Morales, with Luna coming out on top with a narrow UD win and improving to 17-3, and Morales, who might be the best 7-9 female in the country, looking for a rematch. Lake Forest’s Rachael Cummins stopped Maia Kahaunaele in the second round to pick up her first pro win, going to 1-1.

Anaheim’s Dwain Victorian who was making his pro debut as the newest signed Roy Englebrecht Promotions fighter, knocked down Arizona’s Cory Muldrew twice, and won a UD. Irvine’s Darren Smith took a hard fought SD win and gave LA’s James Moontsari his first lost, with Smith going to 8-3 and Moontsari dropping to 4-1.

In the main event of the evening, heavyweight prospect Jonathan Hamm ran his record to 7-1 with a UD win over LA’s Andrae Carthron in a wild bout. Carthron who drop to 5-8, had two points taken away in the first round due to excessive elbows.

The next Fight Club OC show is set for Thursday, August 15th.

Besides the ten pro boxing and mixed martial arts bouts scheduled for this Thursday’s Fight Club OC show in The Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center, it will also be a history making night, as for the first time in fight history both a pro female mixed martial arts bout and a pro female boxing bout will be featured on the same show!

On Thursday, June 6th, the biggest Fight Club OC show ever will explode in The Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center. All fans attending will witness an epic heavyweight battle between two fighters who don’t like each other and want to settle things in the ring. In a can’t miss “fight of the year candidate” it will be heavyweight Jonathan Hamm at 5-1 out of Atlanta facing LA’s 5-7 Andre Carthron.

What else can fans expect to see on June 6th….how about two female bouts, one featuring OC MMA prospect Rachael Cummins battling Victorville’s Maia Kahaunaele, with both fighters looking for their first pro win. Moving to Boxing another female bout will be showcased as high school principal and top female boxer 16-3 (2KO) Rhonda Luna facing Oxnard’s 8-8 (1KO) Crystal Morales in what could be the fight of the night!

Add to this June 6th fight card the pro debut of top Anaheim amateur Dwain Victorian who just signed a promotional contract with Roy Englebrecht Promotions. Victorian won the California Golden Gloves Championship in 2012, and was a national team member. He will face Farhad Nazim Harzanagh from Las Vegas who is also making his pro debut in this super lightweight bout.

In other featured bouts it will be Santa Ana’s 7-2 Jose Correa facing a very tough 4-0 Karihi Tehei who hails from Tahiti. Undefeated 6-0 heavyweight Charles Martin will look to stay perfect facing Kentucky’s 2-1 Josh Clark. Top Brazilian cruiserweight Nelson Ventura who is 8-0 all by knockout will face TBA, and Long Beach’s Malanga D’Hue will look to go to 2-0 when he faces Arizona’s Sammy Rodriguez in a cruiser weight matchup.

Now Englebrecht has taken another step in the mixed martial arts world by signing his first pro MMA fighter to a promotional agreement, when it was announced today that middleweight Curtis Millender will join Roy Englebrecht Promotions with his first fight set for the August 15^th Fight Club OC show.

Millender, who is 2-0 as a pro, is out of the UFC Gym in Fullerton, and is trained by Head Coach Billy Burke, along with Uchenna Anyikam, Joe Murphy, and Joey Aguilar. In his first two pro bouts to say that Millender made an immediate impression in mma circles is an understatement. All he did was dominate Paul Gemmati  in his pro debut in February, winning all three rounds; and then come back on April 11^th and scored “the Knockout of the Year” with a 34 second first round KO of Blake Belshe. At 6-1 and only 25 years of age, Millender is the new mma prototype fighter, with great hand speed, great leg power, and a fearless demeanor in the cage!
