UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Jon Jones, is set to defend his UFC belt agains former champion Lyoto Machida in UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida.

UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on December 10, 2011 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario.

A bout between Lyoto Machida and Phil Davis were linked to this event; however, it was revealed that Davis is still recovering from a knee injury and the bout would not occur.

Jon Jones was scheduled to defend his title agains former teammate and former UFC Light Heavyweight Chamption "Sugar" Rashad Evans, but, a lingering thumb injury cost Evans the potential title bout with Jones for the second time, and Lyoto Machida was moved to the main bout.

UFC 140 will also feature a rematch between former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir and Antonio "Minotauro" Noguiera and a fight between Tito Ortiz and Antonio Rogerio Noguiera.

He is also currently rated by The Ring as the number four pound-for-pound boxer in the world. He is currently riding a nine-year, 25-bout winning streak. This includes an IBF/IBO Flyweight title knockout victory of defending champion Vic Darchinyan, and a fourth-round blasting of former WBA Bantamweight champion Wladimir Sidorenko last December and a WBC/WBO Bantamweight fight agains Fernando Montiel where he dispatched Montiel in 2 rounds via TKO, ending Montiel's 25-bout winning streak while also claiming his third world title in as many weight divisions. Ten of Nonito Donaire's last 11 victories have come by way of knockout.

Omar "El Huracan" Narvaez is an Argentine southpaw professional boxer in the super flyweight (115 lb) division and is the WBO Junior Bantamweight champion. He has an immaculate record of 34-0-2 (19 KOs). He won WBO world flyweight title on July 13, 2002 by a unanimous decision win over Adonis Rivas. He defended that title 16 times with wins surpassing Carlos Monzón's national record of successful defences, holding the record with 15 defences. Omar Narvaez has mostly fought in Argentina and his fight against Donaire will be his US debut.

Entering the Nonito Donaire vs Omar Narvaez fight, Nonito Donaire has been dormant for 8 months due to contract disputes with Top Rank while Omar Narvaez has fought 3 times in 2011, this fight being the 4th. Will the ring rust on Donaire be a big factor? Maybe, but that is the main reason why Omar Narvaez was selected. Narvaez is a proven champion and a veteran but he does not have a really good punching power with only 19 KO wins in 35 total wins. This will give Donaire the time to adjust until the ring rust sets off.

Narvaez is not at all a bonus fight for Donaire. A very winnable fight but not at all a bonus. 37 people has tried to challenge Narvaez but none of them has succeeded in defeating him. Yes those opponents are not on Donaire's level but these are still boxers who are trained professionally to box and knock their opponents out. Donaire has the edge on almost everything and Narvaez' only clear edge is experience.

The key to success for Donaire in this fight is to pick his shots and save his speed and power until the middle rounds. Narvaez will be a tough cookie to crack in the early rounds so it will be a waste of energy to try (but why not try it if he sees an opening). Donaire needs to be careful as a veteran like Narvaez sure knows how to win a fight in any way possible.

First it was St-Pierre vs Nick Diaz, eventually it is now St-Pierre vs. Condit as the main event of UFC 137. UFC 137: St-Pierre vs. Condit will be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on October 29, 2011 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This event was originally expected to take place on October 15, 2011 at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England. However, due to multiple scheduling issues with broadcast rights, the organization scrapped those plans.

Nick Diaz, who was originally scheduled to headline the card opposite Georges St-Pierre for the UFC Welterweight Championship, was pulled from the fight on September 7th due to multiple failed media appearances. Carlos Condit was promoted from his fight with B.J. Penn to replace Diaz and face St-Pierre.

Georges St-Pierre will look to defend his UFC Welterweight Championship for the 7th time also looks to extend his winning streak to 10. Carlos "The Killer" Condit on the other hand would want to get his hands on the UFC Welterweight belt. He has only lost once in the UFC against top welterweight Martin Kampmann.

Amir Khan, with a current record of 26W-1L, is definitely climbing the stares of stardom and is slowly showing the world that he is just a hypemachine.

Definitely not yet Pacquiao or Mayweather.

I definitely think he has a slight chance (with slight, I mean a puncher's chance) against Pacquiao or Mayweather but we are talking about two of the best welterweights (maybe best boxers) on the planet today. You can't just directly beg for a match against these guys by just defeating a faded Zab Judah.

First, he needs to have a rematch with Breidis Prescott! Breidis Prescott who? Prescott is the first guy who defeated Amir Khan. No, let me rephrase it. Prescott is the first guy who embarassed Amir Khan with a first round "face first" TKO in his hometown in Manchester, UK. Prescott did not

At that time, Prescott and Khan had an almost identical record, both undefeated at 18-0 (Khan) and 19-0 (Prescott). Yes, Prescott had an impressive record but some may claim that these fights were mostly against lesser opponents, but that argument also applies to Khan. Before the Prescott fight, Khan has never fought outside the United Kingdom and he was mostly against "white" guys (not a racist comment). Prescott on the other hand has fought only twice outside of Colombia (in Panama and the United States) before they met. So both fighters, I should say were "protected".

After the fight, Khan went on a 8-win tear, defeating some good opposition in a faded Marco Antonio Barrera, Andriy Kotelnik, Dimitriy Salita, Marcos Maidana, Paul McCloskey, Paulie Malignani and Zab Judah. On the other hand, Prescott went on a 4-wins (a DQ, TKO, UD, UD) 2-losses (both decisions, SD and UD).

Prescott's win against Khan may have been a fluke with how their careers turned after the fight. It could also be due to the promoters and trainers backing each fighters that is why Khan got the better piece of fortune after the fight.

Prescott is slated to fight Paul McCloskey in Northern Ireland this September 10, 2011, and whether Prescott wins or loses, I want Amir Khan to have a rematch with Prescott. Period.

You may ask, "Isn't it a waste of time for Amir Khan to fight Prescott if he loses against McCloskey"? Maybe. But, his loss to Prescott will forever hunt him. If Prescott loses to McCloskey, then he should just take the fight, consider it a tune-up and dismantle Prescott just like he was embarassed on their first meeting.

Prescott needs Khan to prove that the first win was not a fluke while Khan needs Prescott to prove that his first loss was a fluke. Breidis Prescott vs. Amir Khan rematch will really make sense.

Next, you have a long list of contenders and champions that he can fight that could lead him to a fight with Pacquiao and/or Mayweather like Timothy Bradley, Devon Alexander, Victor Ortiz, Andre Berto, Joshua Clottey and others.

UFC 133: Evans vs. Ortiz is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on August 6, 2011 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

UFC 133 was originally Jon Jone's first defense to his UFC Lightheavyweight title against former UFC Lightheavyweight champion Rashad Evans but he has to pull out due to what was supposed to be torn ligament on his right hand, so Rashad Evans opted accept the fight against rising contender Phil Davis. Davis had to backout of the fight on July 12 due to an injury sustained during training so Tito Ortiz was contacted as a replacement but he decline the offer so Lyoto Machida was contacted to face Rashad Evans for a rematch which Machida verbally accepted but then UFC Dana White had to cancel the match when Machida reportedly agreed only if he was paid higher but eventually, Tito Ortiz reconsidered and accepted the match.

So the final main event for UFC 133, Rashad Evans vs. Tito Ortiz and the co-main event will be a matchup against Vitor Belfort and Yoshihiro Akiyama.

A bout between Featherweight Champion José Aldo and Chad Mendes was previously rumored to take place at this event. However, Aldo is expected to be out until October recovering from injuries and Mendes will remain on the card and face Rani Yahya.

Antônio Rogério Nogueira was expected to face Rich Franklin, but pulled out of the bout on July 16, 2011 due to a shoulder injury. The UFC offered Franklin a fight with Gustafsson but Franklin declined and was pulled from the card as well.

UFC 133 featured a great card but some of the cards eventually was cancelled due to injuries of some fighters. Nonetheless, UFC 133 will still bring the fireworks with the matchups.

UFC President Dana White announced that former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and number one contender Junior dos Santos will match wits as the coaches of season 13 of the hit Spike TV reality series. Junior Dos Santos did not want to wait for current UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez to heal from his injury, after the filming of TUF 13, Lesnar and dos Santos will then match fists in the Octagon at a date and location to be announced in June and the winner to face Velasquez once he is healthy.

The last time heavyweights coached the show was during season eight in 2008, when dos Santos’ mentor, “Minotauro” Nogueira, faced off against former champion Frank Mir. This season, the two will coach a host of welterweight hopefuls looking to secure a UFC contract.

On October 26, 2010, Shane Carwin had to pull out of his fight with Roy Nelson due to a back injury that required surgery. Nelson has since been pulled from the card altogether.

I would like to congratulate Manny Pacquiao for his win on Saturday Night. It was a tough and difficult fight for me and I hope the fans enjoy our battle at Cowboys Stadium.

I also want to thank Bob Arum for always believing in me and for giving me the opportunity to fight Manny Pacquiao. I also want to thank all the fans who came to see me and who watched the fight on TV and continue to support me.

I gave it all I had, but unfortunately I was not able to get the victory over the best fighter in the world today. As I said before the fight I was never going to quit and tried to win this fight to the vegry last minute.

We had a great training camp and I want to thank Robert Garcia for a great job and everyone in Oxnard for their great hospitality. I am also very grateful with my wife Michelle, Sergio Diaz and Francisco Espinoza for all their support.

Antonio Margarito is schedule to have surgery Tuesday in Dallas, and hopes to be home on Wednesday.
