STAY AWAY FROM THEM! First off, during the "application" process, you will answer questions about schooling and whether you are interested in attending school. If you answer yes, you will then be bombarded with phone calls from people advertising about going to school...

Secondly, once I signed up, I went from 2-3 spam messages a week, to 15-20 in A DAY. Unless I am wrong, they are collecting and most likely selling your e-mail address to advertisers... VERY bad experience with them...

If you do have the misfortune of setting up an account through them, you can't delete your account. You have to e-mail them, which will then take about a week and a half to get a response back from them, telling you that your account will be deleted in the near future... How pathetic... GRRR!!

Update 2009/11/07: After receiving a comment that my post helped steer someone away from Next Media Partners Jobs, I decided to do a simple SEO research. If you type "Next Media Partners Jobs" in Google, guess what comes up first? This blog! Their actual website doesn't even show up on Google! Thinking that they either didn't have their SEO setup right, or that they had been placed in Google Hell, I did a search for their domain and it does pull up a search with the link to their site. I don't know the specifics of Google Hell, but I am guessing (and hoping) that their site has been banished! GOOD!

BuyMyAsphalt.com Offers Used Asphalt Equipment for Sale

I ran into an interesting situation with one of my websites: thewichitacomputerguy.com where it was sitting at a pretty steady page 3 and 4 on Google. After a major re-work of the site back in Aug 07, I could not seem to get the site to index any better than page 3 or 4 and maybe an occasional 2 on various keyword phrases.

The first part of January 08, I decided that the site wasn't going anywhere rank-wise (some keywords started to slip to pages 4 and 5) so, I decided to do some re-work. The major thing I did was to remove the description. Sure, the description was jam packed full of good keyword phrases and combinations but it obviously wasn't getting me anywhere. A couple of days later, I did some research on my Adwords and found that one of my top paying keywords was wichita kansas computer. I then went in and changed some of my titles to reflect this new keyword phrase.

Within days, my site was on the first page of Google!! BUT, the new titles had not been indexed yet. Only the removed description was indexed.

See, Google will pull relevant content from your page and display it as the description, if you do not have a description set on your website pages. I didn't even think that the removed description was the cause to my newfound luck though and stupidly went in and created a new description to match the title keyword phrases. Within days, my site was again indexed with the new titles and new description and guess what... Back to pages 3 and 4.

I realized at that point that the major thing that had changed was my description. I had a split second thought to see about leaving the description for my homepage, but it was only a split second. I immediately went into the site's homepage and removed the description. I think it was roughly four days later and the site had been crawled by Google with the removed description.

Vola! I was shot back up to the first and second pages of most keyword searches!!

Moral of the story... If you have a page or website that isn't doing so hot in the rankings, remove the description! See what happens! You might be surprised with the results :) (I know I was!)

What Happened to The Wichita Computer Guy?

I have no idea what happened today, (it might have happened yesterday...) but for some reason, my entire business website, The Wichita Computer Guy vanished from Google! I logged into my Adwords account to do some updating on keywords, then for grins :D I did a keyword search to see if the ad was showing up. Well, the ad was but the organic searching where I was showing up on the second page, was no longer there. I did a few more keyword searches and finally decided that my site was... well, gone! (yet again... heh) This would make the second time this has happened in the last five months. The first time was very explainable. I put a bunch of content (i'm talking a BUNCH of content) into a sub folder (ok, it was a sandbox...) and then, yanked the pages. Ya... Google doesn't like it when you have a whole lot of pages that can't be found. That sat for about a month before I finally setup the 'G' flag (gone) in apache for the site.

As for today's disappearance... I am clueless. I recently added the domain: thewichitacomputerguy.com to my list and decided to promote my business frontend using that name, instead of Xenitive Computing Solutions. I ran into the problem that most people can't say, let alone spell Xenitive... lol OOPS! Business learning curve! So, maybe adding the domain had something to do with it... I dunno, but I did decide to change my redirecting so it actually shows the domain up as thewichitacomputerguy.com instead of xenitive.com. Before hand, thewichitacomputerguy.com was working, but redirecting to xenitive.com. I now have it switched around to do the opposite which is how I should have set it up in the first place. Oh well... Live and Learn.

Well, for the most part, I'm not too overly worried about the indexing thing. I have the AdWords turned on so that will bring in some traffic. I expect within the next week to see the site back in the rankings with the new domain instead of the old. So see? This was all for the better anyway! :) (and this blog is nothing more than an attempt for me to get thewichitacomputerguy.com re-indexed. Google likes quality links!)

Blackwoodproductions.org SUCKS!

Ever run across BlackwoodProductions.org? Apparently, I did and didn't know it. At the time of this writing, I was not able to 'research' the company itself, but I found out that THEY ARE THE SOLE REASON, I have had two websites go down at random times, several times a week.

From what I can tell, Blackwoodproductions.org is some sort of SEO 'Free Link Referral' or Link Exchange site where you take their code and plug it into your site. It is basically a dynamically updating link exchange program. All you have to do is plug in their code (in my case, the php) and you're done! What I didn't know at the time, was that Blackwoodproductions.org was the sole reason my two sites were crapping out! Have been having problems with:

HTTP .
Unknown.

For the last month and a half with no rhyme or reason as to why! Until tonight! I finally put 2 & 2 together and realized that blackwoodproductions.org's website was down. This in turn, was causing MY websites to go down! I checked two other websites that use the blackwoodproductions link exchange and found their 'pages' to be down as well! I use a system where the php code for the link exchange, was embedded into my CMS site. For whatever reason, this was causing the entire site to go down.

I finally ended up looking up the HTTP . Unknown. error in the database which led to a block that I had embedded the code into. After deleting the record within the database table, all was well!

Again, I don't know anything about blackwoodproductions.org, but I would recommend staying away from them seeing as they can't seem to keep their own stuff running smooth...

Helping Others Make Money

I took a brief look at his blog and realized... the guy can write! He wrote great content complimented by awesome keywords! I immediately noticed he was on tripod so I wrote and asked if he was hosting the ads, or if tripod was. He responded that tripod was.

I told him we needed to talk. This was maybe a day or two after I wrote up the blog that walks you through on how to make money from your blog. About a week later, I finally got around to calling the guy, ok... his name is Matt... lol anywho, I gave him a ring and explained in a shortened form, how he could make money through the blogs he was writing, instead of tripod.

We walked through the blogger setup and the initial AdSense setup but had to wait for the approval process from Google on the AdSense account.

Long story short, Matt called last night and I walked him through the process of adding AdSense to his blogspot blog. He isn't indexed with his site:(site) through google, but he is showing up through Technorati. That made me realize, I needed to write a blog about Matt's blog... to help him get indexed :) SO, if you are interested in Internet Marketing, go checkout Matt's blog!! yourimsecrets.blogspot.com

7215GX Sound Fix

I could be lazy and point you to someone else's instructions, but what would be the fun in that??

First off, let me say that you won't become a millionaire over night from blogging... BUT, if you like to blog a lot and you have blogs in multiple areas, what you are about to read will give you some great insight on how you can make money from the blogs that you write. Let's Get started!! (If you already have the necessary accounts setup, you can skip ahead... otherwise, follow this to a 'T')

1) You will need a Gmail account.

Sign up for an account and come back to this page starting with #2. (Using the link will open a new page) Click Here to Sign Up for Gmail

If you already have a Gmail Account, go to step #2.

2) Ok, so you're signed up for Gmail. The next account you get to create is for blogger.com / blogspot.com (They are one and the same and owned by Google)

Since blogger.com / blogspot.com are the same thing, I am going to refer to them as 'blogger.com' because it's easier to type...

Ok, before I have you create an account, I want to explain that since blogger.com is owned by Google, you can use your newly created Gmail account as your blogger.com sign-in account! (Makes it simple huh??)

Use whatever the first part of your new Gmail account is for the username. (for example, instead of joesmith@gmail.com, just put joesmith) then plug in the password for your new Gmail account.

You will be promted to setup an initial blog. Keep in mind, the way blogger works is that you have 'blogs' and then you have 'posts'. (This might be a bit different from other blogs where you only have one blog...) You could have for example, a blog called 'mypublicblog.blogspot.com' with posts inside that. Then, you could also have another blog called 'myprivateblog.blogspot.com' with posts inside there. I don't think you are limited to the number of blogs you can create and I highly doubt there is a limit on posts...

Ok Sorry! I know your chomping at the bit to get signed up! One last thing... You will be directed through the account creation process to create a blog, select a theme and... I think that's it. Then it takes you to your posting / customization area.

Come back to this page once you have the account created! Click on this link to create your account with blogger.com

3) Step three could have been included in step two, but I wanted to kinda separate them... Ok, The next thing you need to do, is get familiar with blogger.com. Get a feel for the layout, how the posts work, how to edit the posts, how to create new ones, how to customize your blog etc. Go ahead and work on getting your profile setup as well.

Once you are familiar with how blogger is laid out Write A Post!! I know that sounds funny, but it is a requirement for the 'money making insertion' step. I don't care what you write about, just write something! Go copy your latest blog from MySpace, FaceBook, Yuwie, FriendsWin, myLot or wherever it is you have a blog...

As far as the first post goes, I would try to cram as much information into it as you can. Ok, To make that simple, make it as long as you can... Don't put two sentences and call it good. It HAS to have good content and a lot of content. (Doesn't have to be a novel though...) Try to do like, Oh, I dunno... two paragraphs worth of information maybe? Five sentences each? I think that should be enough...

I personally would recommend doing two or three blogs, just to be safe... Like I said before, this step is crucial to the 'money making insertion' step... I'll explain in just a sec...

4)Google AdSense Setup! This is the 'Money Making Insertion' Step I've been referring to. Google AdSense is how Google Advertises. Have you ever noticed some ads on the right side of Google when you do a search? Ya, that is part of Google Adsense and the part that makes you money!

Make Sure you have your posts created!! Ok, the reason for the posts, is that Google asks for what your website address is. Yours is going to be your blogspot address. Remember you setup a 'display name' for your blog? It's something like mine up at the top, 'philsward.blogspot.com'? If you don't know what it is, make sure you find it before you sign up for the AdSense. With that being said, if you try to sign up for Google AdSense without having any type of content, they will reject your 'application' to Google AdSense. I know from experience... SO, Make sure you have a post! If they reject it, no big deal... Just add more content (more blog info) and try again : )

Ok, You're ready to sign up for Google AdSense? See that banner over on the right? The banner is what's called a 'referral' through AdSense (I don't make any money from it until you make money from it, so don't feel like your 'giving' me anything... Besides, you should feel privileged... this is FREE information anyway!!) That will take you right to the sign-up screen! The beautiful thing is, you can just use your same Gmail and Blogger.com e-mail address if you want! That means we've got three different Accounts / sites through Google, with one point of login :) Go sign up and come back here for the next step. (You might want to bookmark me at this point...)

5) So you've got your AdSense application submitted. I need to walk you through some of the 'rules' of AdSense. It's for your own good. I would recommend reading through the majority of the AdSense Program Policies on your own. Just be forewarned: if you don't adhere to these rules, it's not my fault!
I am going to touch on and condense on the major rules:

Do NOT click on your own ads!

Do NOT Ask people or tell people in your content, to click on the ads!

Do NOT Alter the code provided by Google (you can change the colors and if you know what you are doing to change the channel, then you should be 'ok')

That's pretty much it on the rules themselves. Next I am going to touch on the rules of the ads themselves:

Up to three ad units may be displayed on each page. (Also known as 'text ads' The links and descriptive text ads)

A maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes may be placed on a page. (Pretty self explanatory... Shortened, the Google search box...)

Up to three link units may also be placed on each page. (These are strictly just a keyword link)

Up to three referral units may be displayed on a page, in addition to the ad units, search boxes, and link units specified above. (Referral Units are pretty cool. You can advertise static keyword products instead of dynamic 'text ads'. You can also advertise some of the Google Products, like AdSense!)

Like I said before. I personally recommend that you read the Program Policies Yourself to get a better idea of the rules.

This is the point where you get to bookmark this page because you are going to have to come back in a day or two to finish up. (You have to wait on your AdSense application to go through)

During this downtime, I would recommend getting familiar with blogger and spending some time writing up some blogs.

Feel free to move on to get an idea of what lies ahead.

6) "Hey, Guess what? I'm Back With My AdSense Account!!"
Right On! Let's finish getting this thing setup!

Ok, Open a new window or new tab. (Ctrl + n will open a new window | Ctrl + t will open a new tab)

Login to your blogger.com account. (Hopefully you've had some time to familiarize yourself with it.) When you first login, you will be at your 'Dashboard' screen. Locate the rounded edged area that says Manage Your Blogs.

Once you locate Manage Your Blogs, in the lower right corner you will see Layout.

Click on Layout. This takes you to the 'Page Element' Screen.

Click on Add a Page Element (It doesn't really matter which one because you can re-arrange it later) This will open a new window to add an element.

Find AdSense and click on the link that says Add To Blog

(I'm going off memory on this one...) A new window will open and ask for your AdSense Email Address. If you used your new Gmail email address, it should already have that plugged in to use. Otherwise, plug-in the other e-mail address you used.

Once you have your blog AdSense settings saved, it should open to a window that asks you what format to use. Take a look at the Google AdSense Format Page for an idea of which Formats are which. If you change the 'Format' pulldown, it will also show you an example of the ad as well.

We'll do an easy one to start off with:

Format: Choose 728 x 90 Leaderboard

Colors: Choose Blend Template

Click 'Save Changes'

Once you save the AdSense type, you will be taken back to the Page Element screen. Find the element labeled: AdSense. We're going to drag that element up to the top of the page, Just under {Your blog title}(Header) This is your first AdSense Ad!! Save the element and go view the blog. You will see a Google Ad just under your blog title! Per the Program Policies, you can have three text units and three link units. The one we just added is a text unit. You can add two more the same way, and then add three of the 'link units' the same way.

Where you place the ads and which ads you choose, is totally up to you. Some Ad Placements work better than others, some sizes work better than others. This is something you are just going to have to play with. The colors of the ads themselves is something else to consider. Just take a look at the ads I have on this page to get some ideas. Look at other peoples websites and take some of their ideas on how they do theirs. Just start playing with the ads a bit. If you aren't making any money from the ads, then change something about it. Put up a different style of ad, or move it altogether.

If you are a bit more computer savvy, you can go into the Page Element Screen and add the actual AdSense JavaScript that is generated from your Google AdSense Account as though you would place an ad on your own website. This adds a lot of flexibility with the Google Search box and the Referral Units plus adds the number of total ads you can have on your page.

7) "Ok, I have my blog setup, I have my ads setup, now what??"

So you've achieved the hard part! Getting everything setup! That was the painful part... Now, the easy part... The blogging!! : )

You Obviously already know how to blog, otherwise you wouldn't have read this post. I've saved the secret to this posting for last, for a reason. I want to make sure you are serious about getting this thing going. So what's next?

Blog everything on blogger.com. When I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING The reason is simple and can be very effective if you let it be. You want to centralize all of your blogs to one location. Your blog on Blogger. You want to divert all traffic from all of your other blogs to your blog on here. You can't make money from Blogging on MySpace, you can't make money by blogging on FaceBook but you CAN make money on here! That means you want anyone and everyone who would normally be looking at your blog, to come HERE instead.

The way you do this is simple. Write up your blog, then take the first paragraph, or first few sentences and copy them. That is what you will post on ALL of your other blogs. Just a 'teaser' if you will, of this blog. The tricky part is getting the link to your blog, posted on your other blogs. MySpace or Yuwie for example is very easy. You can just create a link that shows something like [Read More], then copy the 'Read More' part and click on the url / link button. Paste your blogger link and your done. Some of the other sites you are just going to have to either play with, or use good ol' HTML code. I'll show you how. It's actually really easy.

First, all links start with the anchor tag. <a></a>

Next, you have to tell the anchor tag where to go. This is done with href="" with the URL or link being between the two ""

Like this:

<a href="http://philsward.blogspot.com"></a>

Next, you want to change it to show the 'Read More'

<a href="http://philsward.blogspot.com">Read More</a>

That's it! Easy huh? If you want the brackets [ ], put them on the outside of the anchor tags. Like this:

[<a href="http://philsward.blogspot.com">Read More</a>]

Just keep in mind that the only way to make this work, is to blog everything on blogger and make sure you point ALL of your other blogs to this one. I have a site that averages about... 100 hits a day and I make anywhere from $3.00 - $5.00 a day from that site. It doesn't sound like much, but if you are a heavy blogger and have a lot of traffic, you can see what the potential can be. There are people out there making thousands a day, just from blogging!! I wish I could find the site that turned me on to making money online because that guy was making a LOT from online advertisements, just through his blog.

Update: [2007-09-06] Good news, I found the link to the blog I was talking about in the last sentence: The name of the guy is Steve Pavlina, his website is: stevepavlina.com and his blog that talks about "Making money from a blogging" can be found here

Update: [20070-09-14] Ever heard of Technorati? Well, it is an online blog 'search engine' if you will that finds and posts all blogs through various blogging sites like blogger. I highly recommend heading over there and signing up for a profile so you can start claiming your blogs! It's as simple as posting a link to your Technorati Profile or plugging in your username / password for blogger! By claiming your blog, people who find your blog on Technorati will be able to see that you are serious about blogging, plus it gives another place to post information about yourself. The more exposure you have on the internet, the better chances you have of someone finding your stuff!

Ok, This is revision 1.0, completed 2007-09-04 @ 2:35

Lookoutmyspace.com Update

In a nutshell, they are doing webinars for people who've signed up already and they have also allowed for a "sneek peek" at the backoffice of the site. FriendsWin has also stated that they are going to vamp up the back office here within the next week or two for members to give them an inside look into the site. The stated date for launch is still unknown, but they are projecting within the next 30 days. I also signed up for a new site, similar to Yuwie called: FriendsWin.com There are some similarities and yet differences between the two sites, but there really isn't any way to know what friendswin offers because they haven't gone live yet. As of today, they are only accepting applications.

The way I see it, why not be in both? :)

Anyway... the purpose of lookoutmyspace.com is to get some information out there to give people an idea of what Yuwie and FriendsWin is all about and how they compare to the MySpace Giant.

Take a look for yourself and see!

lookoutmyspace.com

Is the alt="" tag for images important?

While my knowledge is rather limited in comparison, one of the attributes I am familiar with bu haven't paid much attention to is the img alt="" tag.

I worked for a community college several years back, helping out with the website. The web design lady told me that the image tag technically needed to be on all images on a website, to be ADA compliant. You know, for people who can't see... They use a computer that talks to them, but unless the img alt="" attribute is set for the image tag, it skips over the image. This is all fine and dandy but out of the umpteen billion people on the earth, how many of them are blind?

This has been my mentality: "What is the point of putting the img alt="" attribute, just so someone can see a cute little box pop up with the description of the image." up until tonight.

I started digging through the Google Webmaster Guidelines help section and ran across something that I have read before but completely dismissed it. The use of Lynx What is Lynx? It is a text based browser for those of you who don't know. It's what you might call... old school when it comes to a browser. Lynx was one of the first "internet" browsers, created (big surprise) by a couple of college students. Read more on the wiki

Long story short, the hosting service I use runs on a Linux box with the Apache Web Server and PHP on the back end and Drupal as the front end Content Management System [or] CMS. Since I have shell access to the server, I decided to see if I could load Lynx through SSH (Putty) I typed in "lynx" and up pops a bunch of colored text on the screen.

After a few minutes of orienting myself with the text browser, I soon pulled up one of the websites I maintain: www.asphaltsealcoatingdirect.com I found a page that I have done some extensive work on, and that is when I noticed [166]. I knew immediately that it was an image, posted through the Drupal Web File Manger. That moment was when I realized why the img alt="" attribute is so important!! I realized that there is an opportunity for additional keywords on the website! This is a great place to put words that are normally separated as two words, into one single word. That way it is hidden from the user, but still crawled by Google. Granted, Google has issues with 'hiding' content but using the img alt="" attribute for images is 100% legit in the eyes of Google's Crawl Bot. In fact, Google recommends doing it! (For the ADA purposes of course...)

Ok, What my tip for you to do, is use the img alt="" for alternative keywords or keyword phrases that you may not want the average reader to see, but still produces a pleasing sound when read.

Here is an example of what I am talking about:

(That almost seems like an English class where you fill in with nouns, adjectives, verbs...) It's a bad example, I know... But you hopefully get the point. OK! back to it!

Notice that I set the 'alt' with: alt="Image: " The reason I did this, was mainly to make it ADA compliant. When viewing the 'alt' through Lynx, There was no way of determining whether it was an image or not. This way, if someone were to read the website using a talking computer, the attribute would make sense to them.

Do not use the img alt="" as a way to hide key words by entering something like the following example:

What this tip basically means is that you are going to get off your lazy duff and start filling out those img alt="" attributes if you want to help increase the SEO of your website! Just think of it this way. When you are filling out the img alt="" attribute, imagine that you are describing the image to a person who is blind, using as many content specific keywords as you can. This will help formulate a well rounded alternative image tag.

Add BlogSpot Blogger to Google Webmasters Tools

I found out about blogger last night and the monetary opportunity this site has. I am extremely excited about it, so excited in fact that I have offered to help several close friends and family members setup an account with blogger and an account with AdSense so they can begin blogging. Why? To make some money! There is an unbelievable amount of money to be made through online ventures and I am just now learning to tap into it. The fact that you can post information on a proprietary site, but receive monetary gain from it is awesome! The same thing sort of applies to a site called Yuwie.

But, as the title says... people are lazy...

The individuals I have told this system to are either "too busy", which Is nothing more than an excuse that says 'I don't want to do it', or they "aren't interested" which is another excuse that tells me they are too lazy to take the time to sit down for 30 min to an hour, several times a week and write up some good information on a blog. In short, they don't want to take a risk on something new. This goes back to my motto: The only risks in life, are the ones you never take. I guess people are just too lazy to take a risk! As far as being busy goes, you might be thinking: "Well, I really am too busy to do something like that..." Then what are you doing reading my blog? If you are "too busy", you should be maximizing the time you have for the day and go get something done!

I suggested to my mother that she could write up blogs on religious stuff, or maybe write up a blog or two about how to teach your kids to read, or speak. She's up there in age and has a wealth of information from life experiences. Not to mention my dad, who won't do it because he's just too lazy to do it. But if my dad were to pick ONE topic that he knows something about, he could fill a blog for the next year... I personally think he could get some great information out there about ham radios. One of my friends told me "I don't ever use my computer for much except e-mail" But yet he has time to play Deer Hunter on the xbox while he's talking to me on the phone... Makes perfect logical sense doesn't it? Heh... he's LAZY!!

The epiphany I have had over the last day or so, is that people are too lazy to make money outside of their 9-5 job. They know there are other ways to make money, but they won't take the steps to reach it even though it's dangling in their face like a carrot. This is why I have pretty much decided to oust my 'business suggestions' to people who fall within the Poor and Middle Class mentality of thinking. Robert Kiyosaki talks more indepth on those individuals in his book Rich Dad Poor Dad. In short, the poor and middle class are too lazy to put the effort into becoming successful. This brings me to another topic: "Why Successful People are Successful"

My hopes for this blog / rant, is that it might help you realize your iniquities of being lazy and boost you into motivation of finding a system that works for you!

I am such an iD10T!!

I recently signed up with a site called Yuwie. This has spurred my interest in finding ways to make money online. In a nutshell, Yuwie is a site, much like MySpace, that pays it's members on a referral basis. That's what got me going. The whole referral thing. I found a site when doing some searching on "Is Yuwie a Scam", to come up with yuwiescam.com which is maintained by oldbuddy. Oldbuddy made yuwiescam.com, not because Yuwie is a scam, but because the old fart of 69 is a freakin online money making / marketing guru! He knew people would be searching specifically for whether or not Yuwie was a scam and snatched up the opportunity to market from it. [Update: 2007-08-29] I created a domain to encompass Yuwie and another site called FriendsWin.com. I have more information as to why on this blog posting

hang on... phone call...

Ok, it was a friend of mine. I built him a website: stringercustomwoodworking.com. Basically, he builds custom gun cabinets and Murphy beds...

Ok, Longer story long... I decided to try my hand into a few other sites that make money, such as Adbux.org and Clixsense.com. The problem with those sites is that you have to gain referrals to make any money. The referral process for me, is quite tedious and uncharted water. But again, Yuwie is the site that sparked the interest in the whole referral game. At this point, I have tried posting in MySpace forums, Groups, friends, bulletins and spamming people... I've only received a few referrals from this method and none of them have taken any initiative. Just tonight, I decided to try sending out a few e-mail messages to individuals who have 'successful' based websites, in hopes to get a bite. We'll see...

Ok, so... the big question... How is Phil a big idiot?

First off, I have known about blogger for some time now. Back when Google was in the process of making the merger. I was not too 'into' blogging at that time. In fact, I'm still not a huge blogger. I should be though and I plan to be. Why? Intellectual property. How's that you ask? Well, I didn't know until tonight, that blogger has the ability to post adsense. I've seen other blogs from people on here and just assumed that since blogger was affiliated / owned by google, (which is it? I dunno...) they were through blogger. Yeah... I've had an adsense account for several months and several websites that generate a little extra through that program. Had I known blogger would let you post your own adsense? I would have been blogging a LONG time ago AND kept up with it!! That is why I feel like a retard... There are some things that are on the internet, that I just can't bring myself to signing up for. Like digg.com for example. I know it's another blogging / information site that is used by millions, but I can't bring myself to go to it. Not exactly sure why either. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that there is SOOO much information on a site like digg, that I would either become immersed with the posts or bored with looking for something interesting to read. The fact is... people post 'information' everyday and make money for doing it. Let's just say I am ready to do the same :)

The posts you will most likely see on here will be:

Informational

Rants

Raves

Helpful

Marketing

And i'm sure a few more...

The first set of blogs to write? Blogs to market the websites I maintain!! More traffic means more money!!
