This is the First look of Akshay Kumar's Upcoming Film Special Chabbis, directed by Neeraj Pandey of ‘A Wednesday’ fame. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles with Jimmy Shergill, Manoj Bajpai and Anupam Kher are in supporting roles. The film is based on the real-life daring heist dated 19-Mar-1987 where an unknown man posing as CBI officer Mon Singh recruited 26 men and executed a daylight raid on the Opera House branch of Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri in Mumbai, and disappeared with jewellery worth lakhs.

One of the most awaited flicks of 2013 titled “Gunday” first look is out and it can reveal both the leading actors namely Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor.

Inkaar is a story that deals with the sensitive topic of sexual harassment. Sudhir Mishra wrote three scripts for the film to make sure it's perfect and comes out as he envisioned.

"Pyaar Ka Punchnama" fame producer Abhishek Pathak is back with his next production "Akash Vani". He is confident the movie will make a mark as a love story just like "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" and "Dil To Pagal Hai".

Mahesh Bhatt has a treat for fans of the Murder franchise who were eagerly awaiting its third instalment, Murder 3. The filmmaker says the film is almost complete.

Aditi Rao Hydari was chosen as the female lead. Pakistani actress Mona Lizza was then chosen as the second female lead.

Second Week Total Worldwide Boxoffice Collection of Talaash

Talaash: The Answer Lies Within is a Suspense thriller mystery film starring the Mr. Perfectionist of Indian Film Entertainment World, Amir Khan in the male lead and beautiful Kareena Kapoor and the versatile Rani Mukherjee in the female lead. The film also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vivan Bhatena, Shernaz Patel and Raj Kumar Yadav in the supporting roles.

Reema Kagti directed the film and Amir Khan himself along with Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar produced the film under the banner of ‘Amir Khan Productions’ and Excel Entertainment. The film has been distributed by Reliance Entertainment in the Domestic and Overseas market. Reportedly Reliance Entertainment acquired the distribution rights of the film for Rs 90 Crore, while the satellite rights of the film were sold for Rs 40 Crore. Ram Sampath gave the music of the film and Javed Akhtar wrote the lyrics. It entered the entertainment world of Bollywood on 30^th November, 2012.

Talaash released on 520 screens in overseas markets and the estimate for the number of release screens in India is around 2.500. Talaash held the new overseas record for an Amir Khan Starrer film with such a big release in the overseas market. This film mainly revolves around Amir Khan, who is investigating a mystery murder case of a famous film star.

The film has already earned the status of ‘Hit’ in Indian domestic market and ‘Super hit’ status in the Overseas, as the total budget of the film was not that high (Rs 40 Crore). On actual scenario Talaash didn't perform as expected in the Indian domestic market, but it has done exceptionally well in the overseas market till now. Talaash has managed to attract the multiplex audiences but it didn't be able to fetch that much attention of the single screen audiences of the mass center.

“Talaash” collected 13.50 Crore nett in India in its opening day of release. It has seen a considerable growth in the 2^nd and 3^rd day of release. It collected Rs 14.50 Crore nett in its 2^nd day and Rs 18 Crore nett in its 3^rd. The total Box office collection of Talaash for the first weekend was Rs 45 Crore nett in Indian domestic market. The first weekend box office performance of Talaash was below the line of expectation for sure, considering the star power and past box office records of Amir Khan. In total ‘Talaash’ managed to collect Rs 68 Crore nett in Indian domestic market and Rs 36.75 Crore in Overseas market in its 1^st week of release, which was an average performance considering the high build up of the film.

Talaash managed to hold down well in film entertainment world in its 2^nd week of release too. It has managed to do so due to the under-performance of another big release Akshay Kumar Starrer Khiladi 786 especially in multiplexes. Khiladi 786 didn’t be able to score big in the multiplexes, which eventually helped Talaash to collect good numbers at the box office.

Talaash collected good consistent numbers on weekdays in 2nd week. It eventually added Rs 16.75 Crore nett in 2nd week (Indian market). Mumbai circuit has performed the best for the film. Film has collected Rs 84.75 Crore nett plus after 2 weeks of release. But the good part is now the film has the ultimate opportunity to score decent number on its 3^rd week at the box office, as there were no major releases on this Friday.

Film should add at least Rs 10 Crore nett in its 3^rd week at the Indian market, which means that the film will finish around Rs 94 Crore nett at the Indian box office. It has to be mentioned here that on 21^st December, 2012, with the release (perhaps the biggest blockbuster of 2012) of Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg2’, the film will be almost out of the cinemas. So at present Talaash’s entry to the 100 crore club is not likely for sure, which is a huge setback for Amir Khan.

John Abraham to Produce and Act Gerard Butler’s ‘Law Abiding Citizen’Remake

The Bollywood hunk John Abraham is very much likely to produce and star in an official remake of a hit Hollywood film. A few days back Hrithik Roshan confirmed that he is gearing up to step into Tom Cruise's shoes in the official remake of "Knight And Day”, now its John’s turn. John production house has already their initial necessary work to adapt the Hollywood superstar Gerard Butler starrer ‘Law Abiding Citizen’, which is a thriller action hit Hollywood movie of 2009. John will not only produce the film but also play the lead role too in the film.

The news is that John has started the required process of acquiring the official remake rights of the said Hollywood flick. Reportedly now days he is talking with the producers of that film and as per reports the acquisition is very much likely. If everything goes well, then very soon John will be able to bag the official remake rights of the film in collaboration with an US based firm. According to report that US based firm may co- co-produce a few more films with John's own production house JA Productions in the future.

John has launched his production house this year with the hit “Vicky Donor”, which was able to gather affections from both the audience and the critics. According to a source John saw the film ‘Law Abiding Citizen’ few days back. After seeing the film he fall in love with the story of the film and as a result of that he decided that he should remake the film for Indian audience. It’s quite obvious that he will make a few changes in the script considering the Indian viewpoints in mind.

‘Law Abiding Citizen’ is mainly story of a simple man, who has to commit multiple murders in order to target his own family’s killer. He has forced to break the laws due to the corrupt justice system. Some tragic incidents to his family lead him to seek the justice at any cost. If all have gone in the right path, then John will start to work on Indian version of the film by mid 2013.

Total Worldwide Box Office Collection of Son of Sardaar till 3rd Week

Son of Sardaar is an Action Comedy film starring the versatile actor of Indian cinema Ajay Devgan in the male lead and beautiful Sonakshi Sinha in the female lead. The film also features well-known actors like Sanjay Dutt, Juhi Chawla, Mukul Dev, Punit Issar, and Tanuja. The King of Box office Salman Khan has appeared in a little cameo role and a song sequence in the film.

Ashwni Dhir directed the film and Ajay Devgan himself along with N. R. Pachisia & Pravin Talreja produced the film under the banner of ‘Ajay Devgan Films’ and YRV Infra Media. Eros International and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures distributed the film in the Domestic and Overseas market. Himesh Reshammiya gave the music of the film and Sameer wrote the lyrics. It entered the entertainment world of Bollywood on the Diwali (13^th November) with another big release Shahrukh Khan featured 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.

Son of Sardaar released on 350 screens in overseas markets and the estimate for the number of release screens in India is around 2.000. Son of Sardaar also managed to get 300 more screens in 2^nd week due to high demand of the film in some of the areas especially in the North India. This film mainly presented the funny side of Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt and the success of the film in the Indian Box office has proved that Comedy is one of the most favorite genres of Bollywood in recent times.

The film has already earned the status of ‘Hit’ in Indian domestic market and ‘Average’ status in the Overseas. SOS gave a real tough fight to JTHJ in the Indian Box office but it failed to carry it on top the overseas market. In spite of that Son of Sardaar managed to do excellent business at the box office worldwide.

“Son of Sardaar” collected 10 Crore nett in India in its opening day of release. It has seen a very good growth in the 2^nd and 3^rd day of release. It collected Rs 16 Crore nett in its 2^nd day and Rs 12 Crore nett in its 3^rd. The total Box office collection of Son of Sardaar for the first extended week was Rs 82 Crore in Indian domestic market. The film lost a few crore due to the shutdown of cinema halls in all over Mumbai for two days. It also affected due to the other big release ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ as mentioned earlier.

"Son of Sardaar" managed to hold down well in the film entertainment world in its 2^nd week of release too. It collected Rs 18.50 Crore nett in 2^nd week at the Indian Domestic box office, which is quite good indeed. The film did great business in the North India, in fact it overshadowed the business of Jab Tak Hai Jaan completely in that region especially. It joined the 100 Crore club in Indian market in its 17^th day of release.

SOS collected Rs 3.50 Crore nett in 3^rd week at Domestic Box office, which higher than the 3^rd week box office collection of JTHJ (Rs 3.05 Crore). It has to be mentioned here that the total overseas box office collection of SOS stands at Rs 15.50 Crore (up to 3^rd week).

To be honest the overseas collection for SOS is not up to the mark considering the mega overseas release of the film. Like ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, it has also suffered a lot in 3^rd week due to the big release of Amir Khan’s Talaash, which is quite expected. As another big release Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khiladi 786’ has already released worldwide, the film will add a crore max to its total in coming days as it is almost over with the run.

So after 3^rd week the total collection of SOS at Indian Box office is Rs 104 Crore nett. So we can conclude on the point that the film will finish with Rs 105 Crore nett lifetime collections (Indian Box office), which will be marginally less than Ajay Devgan's biggest hit till date "Golmaal 3".

“Jab Tak Hai Jaan” collected 15 crore nett in India and Rs 7.5 Crore nett in Overseas its opening day of release. It collected Rs. 98 Crore nett in India and Rs 52.50 Crore nett in its first extended weekend, which means that it collected a total Rs 150 Crore nett worldwide in its first weekend only. It joined the 100 Crore club in Indian market in its 11^th day of release.

"Jab Tak Hai Jaan" collected Rs 19.50 Crore nett in 2^nd week at the Indian Domestic box office and Rs 13.50 Crore nett at the Overseas, which is quite good indeed. The film suffered a lot in 3^rd week due to the big release of Amir Khan’s Talaash, which is quite expected. As another big release Akshay Kumar’s 'Khiladi 786' has already released worldwide, the film will add a crore max to its total in coming days as it is almost over with the run.

So the movie can be able to collect Rs 195 Crore max Worldwide in its first phase of release. So it will surely cross Rs 200 Crore mark in its 2^nd phase of worldwide release. It has to be mentioned here that the movie had a mind blowing run in the overseas market and it has already became the 3rd highest grosser ever in overseas.

Preview: Dabangg 2 is an upcoming movie of the blockbuster superstar Salman Khan. It is the sequel of the 2010 release All Time Blockbuster “Dabangg”. The film is an action comedy one with loads of masala and larger than life attitude. The music of the film is already hit in the chartbusters. This is the 8^th installment Khiladi film, with that the Khiladi franchisee is considered as the biggest franchisee of Bollywood. The film featured Asin in the female lead. She looked stunning as usual, though there is little scope for her to act as the script does not demand that at all. It also has some mind blowing actors like Paresh Rawal, Mithun Chakrabarty & Raj Babbar. They have done full justice to their role. This movie is a treat to those who like action masala films. The story is not up to the mark and at some point the directing is also little bit clueless. The movie has some beautiful one liner where Khiladi Akshay is in full form. This is not an intellectual movie for sure. This is a completely fun-loving movie with loads of logic less laughing scenes. In short it’s an Entertaining film with loads of masala.

Boxoffice Expectation: The film is releasing in 2700+ screens in India, which is huge indeed. These types of masala films attract the small screen audience very much. So the movie is very much likely to do good business in the small screens of all over the India. Though the overseas business is not likely to score big but it should not affect the film as the budget is not that huge (Rs. 45 Crore). Akshay Kumar already gave three hits this year like Houseful 2, Rowdy Rathore and OMG-Oh My God. Khiladi 786 is surely going to be his fourth hit of this year. The multiplex business of the film will be affected due to Amir Khan’s Talaash. The film will suffer a lot after its first weekend due to the biggest release of the year Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2. The film’s overall business will be affected due to this sandwich scenario, but it is expected that the movie will score big in its first weekend only. Khiladi 786 is likely to do well in the North India mainly specially Punjab, Pune etc. This is true that movie will do good business but to be honest we don’t think it will cross 100 Crore Nett in India, that will be really a tough nut to break for Khiladi 786.
